"Finding Indian food this far up Highway 26 is a rarity, but this new restaurant, serving aloo matar and Punjabi goat masala to those chilly and red-cheeked from a day on the mountain. The menu hits a lot of the classics spotted on Indian restaurant menus across the country, from vegetable korma to sizzling platters of tandoori chicken. The house chai is a warm pick-me-up for those driving back to Portland afterward." - Levi Rogers

A gem on the mountain! Nice staff with cozy, super flavorful food. 🥰 Highly recommend both of these and the (not pictured) mango lassi drink. This was so filling but next time we'll try the naan and dessert!

After nearly 5 unacknowledged minutes standing inside the front door, we grabbed our own menus and waited to be seated. It took a while to get our order in, and the guy was definitely working hard, but they really are shorthanded. Then again who isn't? The food was delicious, the portions were good, and the prices were pretty reasonable. Best Naan I've ever had, too! Overall, I'm happy, and I'll be back. Update - march 2025 I've eaten here in house a couple more times, each time trying something new, and the food literally gets better and better. Service is fine (at best) but the food is truly great, probably the best Indian food I've had east of the Willamette. We also pick up to go food to go at least once a month, as we head to Govy on weekends, but up until now ordering ahead has been hard. Either the phone doesn't get answered or the online purchasing doesn't work, but tonight we actually ordered online for the first time Despite ordering Lamb Kahari (and paying extra for lamb) I got Chicken Kahari to go with our Butter Chicken. (Pictures added) Both were so delicious that I barely cared they screwed up. The food is really that good but they do need to pay attention to details, especially at the price. For $47 before tip they should at least read the order and get the protein right.

Google
Great food and great service. Wish we took a photo but we ate it all too fast. We should my husband and I split the butter chicken with a side of extra rice. We also split their amazing stuffed spinach and cheese naan bread. This was so yummy and plenty for two people. We will definitely be back the next time we head to Mt Hood. Thankfully it's not too far from the Portland area!!! Thank you so much!!!!

Google
My partner and I are visiting Mt. Hood for the holidays and were a little worried we wouldn’t be able to find vegetarian options for lunch and dinner while here for the next few days. After doing a bit of googling we found Naan N Curry and were stoked bc we love Indian food! We got there and were seated right away and ordered relatively quickly. There were a bunch of vegetarian options clearly labeled on the menu, and we each got an entree, including Chana Masala and Malai Kofta. We also got vegetable samosa and garlic naan. Everything was delicious and just as good as any Indian restaurant you can find in the city (Portland and beyond). Highly recommend this place and if we were to come back to Mt. Hood we would definitely eat here again. Thank you, Naan N Curry!!!

Google
Easily a 5/5 experience! The chicken vindaloo had the right amount of spice for someone like myself who loves a good kick of spicy. Great service and clean atmosphere.

Google
Perfect pit stop from the MHX shuttle for lunch. The cheesy garlic Naan is amazing! The butter chicken here was great too. The interior is cozy and our waiter was great. Definitely would love to stop here again :)

Absolutely Divine! A Hidden Gem in Mt. Hood. From the moment I walked in, I felt wrapped in warmth. The space is cozy and inviting, and I was greeted with the kind of smile that makes you feel like family. I already knew what I was craving—Chicken Tikka Masala and garlic naan—and Naan N Curry did not disappoint. One bite and I was in heaven. The savory spices, the subtle sweetness, the tender chicken—it all melted together like a symphony in my mouth. The garlic naan? Fluffy, golden, and kissed with just the right amount of crisp. Dipped in the rich masala sauce… pure bliss. On a chilly day, this food felt like a hug from the inside out. It’s been a long time since I’ve tasted food made with this much heart. You can feel the love in every bite. Naan N Curry Mt. Hood, you’ve officially stolen my heart (and my appetite). Highly recommend. This place is soul food, spice, and comfort all in one.

Google
First off, the chicken khorma—absolutely sensational! Packed with flavor, cooked to perfection, a real showstopper. The butter chicken? Executed brilliantly—creamy, rich, everything you’d want from a classic. The pakoras? Golden, crispy, absolutely divine. And that garlic cheese naan? Bloody hell, it’s probably one of the best I’ve ever had. Truly exceptional! But then… paper plates. Paper bloody plates! Are you joking? For paying customers? That’s an insult to the stunning food coming out of that kitchen. Eating such spectacular dishes off paper plates—it’s like serving a fine wine in a plastic cup. Unforgivable. Now, I get it, you’re understaffed. But two hours before closing, and you’ve got empty tables piled with dirty plates? That’s just lazy management. The potential here is massive—your food deserves a standing ovation, but the service? A complete trainwreck. Sort the staffing issues, invest in proper plates, and clean up your act—because right now, you’re wasting an opportunity to be brilliant. Three stars, and even that feels generous. Don’t disappoint me again.

Yelp
AMAZING!!! We have had Indian food in many different restaurants back east...but none even compare. I know now that I have never really had authentic Indian food. We had Chicken Karahi and Navratan Korma...to die for! If we ever come back to Oregon again, we will drive to Mt Hood just to have dinner at Naan and Curry!

Gavin G.

Yelp
Awesome food, prices and services. Great spot to stop in for a meal or get take out when you're on the mountain. We've gone a couple times already and I always suggest it when people are heading to hood. We placed a big order Friday and they had it ready on time with great accuracy. So nice to have the option in the area!

Areena M.

Yelp
This might be the only Indian/Pakistani restaurant in the area; could be that they don't have to work too hard for the business. Sadly, it shows. The food is ok, but there's no love in it, and we felt like we were more of a burden than paying guests. Food - 2.5 stars Ambience - 3 stars (casual, family restaurant - nothing fancy, but nice enough and clean) Service - 1 star (the server's vibe was awful) Value - 2 stars We ordered a lot of food, planning for leftovers: Fish pakora, samosa chaat, butter chicken, saag paneer, lamb biriyani, garlic naan, and lacha paratha. I would order the fish pakora, samosa chaat, and garlic naan again; pass on the rest. The sauce for the butter chicken was delicious, but the chicken was dry. Saag paneer was ok. Paratha was crispy, but not buttery like I'd hoped. The lamb biriyani tasted odd (like plastic?) and lamb wasn't as tender as it should've been. I don't eat Pakistani food often so it's possible that I'm just not used to the masala they use in the biriyani, but I found it very disappointing. The rice was very good, though. Prices are high. I know eating out is expensive these days, but we paid significantly less for more and better food at other establishments during the weekend. There aren't any alcoholic beverages on the menu, but there are beer and wine bottles and glasses behind the bar. I didn't ask for more information, but I was confused about whether alcohol is an option. I could have gotten over all the above and given them 3 stars, but I can't ignore the "I don't give a s**t" attitude from the server. We were there at noon on a Sunday...only 2 parties eating. He acted like we were an inconvenience. I can only assume he's a family member who is forced to work in the restaurant and hates every minute of it; he gave us what we needed, but wasn't the least bit welcoming. It was like he couldn't be bothered to waste an extra word on us. He seemed nice to the other family dining with small kids so IDK what's up, but the experience was unpleasant. We won't go back.

Brian S.

Yelp
Fantastic food! Everything was just super tasty, top notch! The garlic naan was made the real way, in a real tandoori oven, and super fresh. The Tikka Masala was perfectly spiced and plentiful. The fish pakora was amazing! Kinda fun to find this spot up here on the mountain. I will say the waiter seemed kind of... uncomfortable? Like maybe he doesn't like the job? I dunno. Just a vibe. And it was a bit odd we didn't get a paper copy of the bill, but maybe the world is going that way now. Definitely worth your time.

Traci M.

Yelp
Stopped in on the way back to Portland from bend. Apparently it just opened up, very cool log cabin interior. We were the only ones in the restaurant on a super snowy Sunday, ordered the molai kofta with naan and rice. Absolutely delicious! Perfect pit stop after a day on the mountain.

Yelp
This is the best Indian Food we have ever had. We live in Los Angeles where the food scene is pretty damn good and are still talking about how good it was and how we HAVE to go back. Had the chicken tikka masala and veggie biryani. Go now!

Ankit M.

Yelp
The main course was good but the appetizers lacked in execution, the pakoras were undercooked from the middle and the chicken tikka was over cooked. Although overall great flavors and given the location I would recommend this place.

J.J. Valentine N.

Yelp
Definitely an addition to the area for food and for variety. My food was hot, tasty, & seasoned. The restaurant had several dine in customers, with some orders to go when I was present. The location was prime, but you'd get customers passing through looking for something to eat. I stayed in the area a few days and decided to give it a try. Ambiance of the restaurant was truly Indian, as Indian music was playing. I wish the server would ask if I needed plasticware/napkins before I left with my to go order. My food got colder as I went looking for a spoon at my hotel :(

Faith N.

Yelp
Everything we tried was delicious. Super excited to have another really good vegetarian spot. Partner loved his chicken dish as well! A must stop and try if you're in welches.

Patrick M.

Yelp
Very tasty, Best tandoori chicken we've ever had; spicy, flavorful and juicy! Their naan is flavorful and chewy. The mango chicken tikka masala is sweet and spicy! We will be back, soon!

Matt H.

Yelp
Amazing curry! Wonderful flavors!! Never would have suspected it up on the mountain! Gonna make it a regular stop! The heat control was excellent as we asked for both mild and hot food.

Scott M.

Yelp
Food is legit. I had butter chicken, chicken sheesh kabob, and garlic cheese naan. All delish. I'll be back when passing through.

Julie D.

Yelp
Decided to take a drive and found an Indian gem in the woods. My waiter was attentive and the food was prepared and delivered quickly. I ordered Pappadum for a starter and Mango Chicken Tikka Masala and plain naan for my main course. The prices are very reasonable and the portions are plenty. I took at least half of the food home with me. The dinning area is quite spacious and welcoming with additional seating outside, under a tent, when the weather gets warmer. I look forward to returning with friends and family.

Joanne H.

Yelp
This restaurant is new since my last trip to the area. I just did pick up as I'd been traveling all day. I ordered garlic naan and the palak paneer and both were excellent. You have the option to adjust the spice level which was nice. My food was ready when promised via their very user-friendly website. Prices and portions were great - my food fed me for two dinners. I'd definitely return and try inside dining.

William C.

Yelp
Food very good, not the usual generic Indian-American fare. Interesting and well-balanced taste. I agree with others about the sullen waiter.

Chris L.

Yelp
Stopped in on a snowy holiday for lunch and we really loved our meal. Definitely 5 stars for the food. We got the chicken tikka masala, which was excellent, and the chicken korma, which also was excellent. They came with a saucer of rice, but it wasn't enough for 4 of us to use up both dishes, so we ordered a second dish of rice. We got the tikka masala as a medium, which was perfect and the kids really liked it; next time I would order the korma as a medium too. We also split a mango lassi (yum!) and a chai (also great). The staff person was really friendly and attentive, and the interior was nice (albeit cold after a weekend with no power on the mountain). Our only complaint was that prices were a bit steep ($20 per dish, if you get chicken). We'll definitely be back.

Michael K.

Yelp
Delicious food and a wide variety of options. Friendly service. Convenient stop on the way to mount hood

Heather B.

Yelp
This was our second visit to Naan n curry. My husband liked it a lot the first time although I wasn't as impressed... except for the Mango Lassi which was the best ever! But this time I ordered the Lamb and chicken combo kebabs. They had decent flavor, but were very dry. The waiter suggested I also get some mint chutney to go with it, but the flavor of the mint wasn't great either. My husband had a lamb stew, but the meat was very tough, so he was not happy either. I decided to take the kebabs home so that I could make a soup from them, but when I got home I started feeling nauseous, and after a while I threw up, twice. So the kabobs are now in the garbage and we will not be returning.

Gavin K.

Yelp
My sister was in town for a few days and after a really nice hike on mount hood we really wanted to eat something that wasn't burgers or fries. She has been living overseas and wanted to get some Indian food before we left so this was a great surprise to find. I was really happy to see just how great the food was here because we got to have a really nice memory. The service was excellent, and I really enjoyed the music and decorations. Great food with tons of flavor and selections that I haven't seen before. It's great to have a place to go after a long day at Mount Hood with really high quality food. Thank you!

Perry L.

Yelp
Excellent fare, all items were amazing and cozy inside. You may want to hit the market across the street if you want a beer with yer meal.

Spencer R.

Yelp
Excellent food! We got cheese naan, veggie samosas, paneer pakora, onion bhaji, butter chicken, aloo gobi masala, and malai kofta because we wanted to try a little of everything and it was all very delicious. I especially enjoyed the malai kofta. Take out service was prompt, faster than the online estimate and I got a text when it was ready, very convenient. We're very thankful to have you on the mountain!

Ken R.

Yelp
Outstanding Indian food on Mt Hood! I wish they were in Beaverton. So much better than the throngs of Indian restaurants that we have there. Highly recommended, delicious food!

Marshal E.

Yelp
Me and some friends tried this place nice and it was awesome. Everything was dope and my wife and promtly scouted out the menu for what we are going to get next time after we finished eating. Stoked to some variety in the restaurants in the area. Our new go to spot in town.

Alexa H.

Yelp
Seriously amazing!! My food was so good! (I got Malai Kofta, Aloo Paratha and Spinach Cheese naan bread, and some chai tea. I got to try the Spinach Palak paneer too. All of it was perfect!!)

Corinna P.

Yelp
Incredible food and service! We had veggie samosa, chicken masala (medium, which was warm but not spicy), lamb biryani, garlic naan, and Gulab Jamun with vanilla ice cream. Our server was delightful and kind. Truly could not recommend this restaurant more! Make sure to stop by!

Kim M.

Yelp
This was absolutely the best Indian food I've ever eaten. The entire family loved their meal. We shared the vegetable pakora and vegetable samosas, chicken vindaloo, chicken tikka marsala, and tandoori chicken. It was all delicious! The service was great, and the restaurant is in a beautiful building. I wish we lived closer so we could go more often!

Jeremy Jones ..

Yelp
Excellent, authentic Indian food in Hoodland...yes! Love enjoying this food and supporting a bold and welcome taste to the area.

Pq R.

Yelp
Food was delicious. I had veggie samosas, rice, vegan palek "paneer" with tofu, and a great Goa-brewed beer (ask for the beer menu, it's separate from the main menu). Exhausted after a day of snowboarding, and this was so perfect. A shining star in an area needing it. Will come back soon!

Anna C.

Yelp
Garlic naan and the sauces were delicious in the palak paneer and butter chicken I ordered. Really wish there was a buffet option since eating an Indian meal without the yummy extras like Raita and the pickles (without paying so much extra for the sides) doesn't complete the experience for me that I've enjoyed in the past. Initially thought the prices were a little high (what else is new these days where a decent burger is now $20), but the portions easily provided 3 meals for me. Ordered online and order was ready when promised.

Katrina C.

Yelp
I was just in India for a couple months and to come home and have this place right down the street is a dream!!! The food was delicious, the staff kind, and the ambiance is great. I have been in that building through all the different businesses over the years. I have even taught yoga there when it was the pub! So excited to have great Indian food close to home! Thank you!

Ras C.

Yelp
This is easily the best place to eat in Mt. Hood Village. Everything was absolutely delicious! We got a masala chai tea, veggie samosas, garlic naan, butter chicken, and malai kofta. It was all really really good. We are so happy to have a new restaurant up here. The waiter was friendly and attentive. It is a really cute little building too. We will definitely be back and highly recommend it.

Shane S.

Yelp
Delicious food! I have only eaten takeout, haven't sat down and dined, but the interior looks very nice and cozy with a great ambience. I have had the Khorma, Butter Chicken, Tikka Masala, Veggie Pakora, and Chili Pepper Naan, and it has all been delicious. I do hope they add more sauce with the Pakora in the future though! I'm so happy this place is here in Sandy, and open until 9:00PM. EVERYTHING up here closes by 8:00PM and we don't typically eat until after 7:30 - 8:00PM at the earliest. It's also a great addition to have something other than pizza and burgers. I hope they continue to stay busy!

Eduardo E.

Yelp
Tried this for the first time the other night after moving away from our favorite Indian restaurant. The Chai was VERY good! Onion badji was also good. My order of naan wasn't heard by the waiter, so I didn't get to try it. My wife said hers was good. Butter chicken was also good, but the chicken tikka masala was too sweet. Talking to some Indian friends of ours, it was shared that some places will add sugar to dishes to appeal to American palates. Not a fan for what is tyoically my favorite dish, but everything else was good!

Mary Ann S.

Yelp
Tandoori chicken, Punjabi Chicken Masala, Khorma with fish and Raita all excellent. Food presented well, especially the Tandoori on a hot skillet! White fish perfectly cooked in the creamy Khorma sauce. Raita creamy and spiced well. Naan perfect compliment to all the different sauces. Excellent service. Cold snap and it is a large space with high ceiling so a bit chilly in the dining room.

Marni K.

Yelp
Incredible Indian food! Some of the best we've had! Highly recommend the mango lassi and everything tandoori.

Gwen C.

Yelp
So excited about this place being in the area! We will definitely be back next time we're hitting the mountain. We had the garlic naan with tamarind chutney (best chutney I've had!), butter chicken, and mango chicken tikka masala. Everything was so delicious! The space is lovely, staff is very kind and attentive. They definitely could use another server but we understand they haven't been open very long.

Ash W.

Yelp
Outstanding food and really friendly owners, this place is great! The food comes out quickly and is very good. Two thumbs up.

Nina H.

Yelp
Comfortable atmosphere, friendly staff and the best of all Great Food. Worth stopping for a bite to eat.

David S.

Yelp
New place opened January 2024. Outrageously delicious food!! Portland quality on the Mountain!! Keep it up!

Colton S.

Yelp
Delicious food with large portions. However, the service we received was despicable. The waiter couldn't have made it more clear just how much he resented being there and how perturbed he was that he had to serve my father and me. Along with his constant rude behavior during our meal, he informed us at 2:57 that that they closed at 3pm (odd time to close, but ok) while we were still eating. There were no signs indicating closure and we were not told when we sat down after 2:30ish. He was obviously trying to hint that we needed to leave. At 3pm sharp, he came over with his bus tub, slammed it down on the ground and began clearing our plates. We quickly paid and left (for some reason still adding on the customary 20% tip). Needless to say, we're never going back to this location.

Andrew H.

Yelp
Nestled in the SW corner of Hwy 26 and Welches Rd, sits a quaint and inviting little Indian restaurant that is extremely tasty and affordable. The service was great and the food was superb. Lots of options on the menu and a welcoming ambiance makes this little spot one to remember.

Shain B.

Yelp
It's quickly the best Indian food I've had. I enjoyed the service here, and the food was fantastic. Of the few states and different places I've eaten, this specific place is easily the best overall would recommend it to anyone and again the service is fanatstic

Patty H.

Yelp
We had never been there and were very delightfully surprised. My husband could order non-spicy food and I had the perfect amount of spice. It was fresh and delicious. The staff was very nice and accommodating. We will definately go back.
