⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Nabuki in Hinsdale is an absolute gem! The sushi is incredibly fresh and beautifully presented, with creative rolls like the Stop, Drop and Roll and the NABU that are bursting with flavor. Chef Juan's unique Latin flair elevates the traditional Japanese dishes to another level. The atmosphere is vibrant yet welcoming, with a sleek, modern design that makes it perfect for date nights or family outings. Our server was attentive and offered spot-on recommendations, making the experience even better. The Asian tacos and spicy crab jalapeños were standout appetizers. Yes, it’s a bit pricey, but the quality is worth every penny—you’re getting top-tier sushi without leaving the suburbs! Highly recommend and we’ll definitely be back!

Service was awful. It took 2.5hrs to have lunch. The server often disappeared for long periods of time and everything took much longer than it should have. Me and my dining partner were never brought the same course at the same time- drinks, appetizers, and mains were all brought out one by one and with significant time in between. I had to ask 3 times to get gluten free soy sauce and sat with food waiting for at least 15min in an empty restaurant. Desert was brought without utensils and we asked for utensils immediately - the person we asked disappeared completely and 5min later I waved down our server to get spoons. The “chefs” were very unprofessional- standing around joking loudly and whistling for the servers when food was completed. The food tasted acceptable but not exceptional and it was definitely overpriced. I was careful to let them know about my food sensitivities, ask questions and ordering according to the GF menu items and I still got sick when I came home. My experience was disappointing and I will not be returning.

Quality sushi. Drinks were great too. Glad to find such a good sushi place in the suburbs

Everything is tasty. Standout. Tempura soft shell crab roll and entree lettuce wraps mini tacos steak skewers sashimi platter Gorilla roll This will be my go to now in western suburbs. Love the green tea match ice

Ask about the secret menu!! There are a ton of sushi options on there. They are super yummy!! Loved the atmosphere however, we spent over $200 for just 2 of us! Pretty expensive.

The sushi here is on point. Everything was very fresh. The waitress, Angela was excellent. She even brought out birthday dessert for my dinner companion. I can't say enough about the food and the service, I have no complaints.

Tried this place for the first time last night for a date night. Upon entry we were greeted and treated as if we were regulars— nothing but smiles! The place has a very comfortable and soothing aesthetic and the staff was extremely friendly and all seemed happy to be there (very rare for many places). Not only was the foods presentation amazing but the taste matched and if not surpassed the looks. Everything was phenomenal, will definitely be coming back. Giselle was helping us out and she was nothing short of amazing.

What a great lunch find! The food is wonderful, and the service was pretty quick. The environment here is lovely. I highly recommend checking this place out!

Went to Nabuki for a work lunch and was really impressed. The space is nice and nestled smack dab in the middle of downtown Hinsdale. Had to park a few blocks away so plan accordingly if you're looking to arrive at a specific time. The food was nothing short of incredible. For starters I had a miso soup and Pork dumplings. Both were quite good. For sushi I had the spicy tuna roll as well as salmon, tuna, and hamachi nigiri. This was some of the freshest tasting fish I've had in a while. Would definitely go back and think it stacks up with some of the more well known establishments in the city at a better price point.

4.5 stars... Greeted and seated quickly. The ambiance is very cute as it could be causal or romantic. Plenty of seating indoor, outdoor, and bar area. A live musician was playing outside for the guest. The food was delicious and fresh. I ordered the miso soup, mushroom dumpling which was a first for me and they were really good, crazy jalapeno with crab, and red devil roll. I ordered red wine and Kirin ichiban on draft. The wine was pretty good. And my beer was nice and cold. There were some items priced a little higher than expected but I'm sure it's because it's a more upscale sushi place. My server was kind, attentive, and she had really nice tattoo art on her arms. She was helpful with suggestions as it was my first time at Nabuki but it won't be my last.

The sushi was fresh, tasted delicious and we could not get enough. My favorite was their Christmas tree roll which I was told is an off the menu order. You're missing out if you don't ask for it! I would have given this a 5, the only reason I knocked it down was is because of the volume of music. We couldn't hear each talk or have a conversation. All in all, I would come back for the fresh and delicious sushi rolls. We ordered a bit of everything and it was all good. Came out quick too.

So far service has been absolutely horrendous. I've been here 25 minutes and I still haven't gotten my bottle of water. Now for the good news, the food came 10 minutes after we ordered it super tasty and friendly people

Sushi rolls were good, but not anything special. Everything was kinda pricey, but it's what you can expect from Hinsdale.

YEAASSSSS!!! So so so delicious. All I remember is the tacos and the moshi... something! I don't remember the names of everything. Everything was phenomenal. Strong kitchen :) And so are the drinks

I don't know about you, but I love dining at sushi spots on Fridays during Lent because there are so many meat-free options! I love their modern take on sushi classics and they have so many options aside from the typical maki rolls and sashimi/nigiri offerings (although I love those too!).

Great experience, the food was delicious and we enjoyed the fresh sushi very much. But, what I think made our experience unforgettable was our server Angel. He recommended amazing rolls that really elevated or dinner experience. Definitely worth every penny. Good location, nice ambiance.

Nice local sushi spot in downtown Hinsdale! I came here on a sunny Saturday late afternoon and enjoyed my dining experience at Nabuki. I had a reservation and was able to get seated immediately. At the time I went it was pretty slow so unsure if the reservation was needed. It did start to pick up as I was heading out so if you are going in the evening highly recommend a reservation. The daytime ambiance here is nice! Bright windows that allowed natural sunshine and airy feel to the restaurant. The bar added nice decor to the spot as well. The service was speedy and friendly which was appreciated. They have an extensive drink and dinner menu. For drink, I ordered the 'Senjutsu' which is a bourbon based drink, with plum sake, peach and lemon juice. Light, strong, and the mint added some refreshment. So yummy. For food I ordered the crazy jalapeño which is fried jalepeño, crab meet and cream cheese. Such a good started, the fried jalepeño added such a good touch and paired greatly with the cream cheese. I additionally ordered a small fried rice and added steak. While very tasty it did not taste like your typical fried rice, the added green/red peppers gave it more of a stir fry feel/taste. For sushi rolls, I ordered the Stanley Cup ( shrimp, crab, mango, cilantro, avocado, sweet potato, and chili sauce and unagi sauce). So yummy the mango added a nice sweet tartness to the roll and paired well with the spice from the chili sauce and had a good crisp and crunch. Overall Nabuki is a solid option if you are in the Hinsdale area!

Best Sushi In Chicago with an awesome atmosphere!! Located in one of the best towns in Chicagoland Hinsdale. We have had multiple parties here, meet friends and have business meetings.

One of the best restaurants let alone sushi restaurants in the area. We had a mix of both sushi and traditional japanese and everything was delicious

This is a great place to meet someone for just a drink, or dinner, in Hinsdale! I usually don't drink off the cocktail menu and have wine instead, but their cocktail menu looks tempting! Sushi--top notch. Appetizers--the tuna poke is so good, still memorable. This place is definitely a go to, I've only done reservations so can't speak to how it is going last minute.

We use to love this place! We came here for a birthday and sat in the back booth area. Midway through dinner a friend noticed a COCKROACH on the booth! We all got up immediately and moved away. The wait staff came over looking for the cockrach and couldn't find it. 5 mins later another cockroach was crawling along the floor in our area! Than we saw another server pick up a cockroach with tongs and run back with it! Needless to say we are not coming back! Be aware!!!!

So good! Loved the vibe and ambience. Giving downtown feels. We are vegetarian. Got the Stanley rolls - instead of meat got extra avocado and mango. Amazing. Would get this again. Then got noodles vegetarian plus crispy tofu. The jalapeño cheese rolls were ok. Next time need to try vegetable dumplings and the other rolls. Lychee virgin martini was very good too. Hubby loved the old fashioned. Can't wait to go again!

I always enjoy the beautifully made sushi and appetizers here. Perfect spot to meet with friends and sit outside on a summer afternoon. Service was excellent and staff are always accommodating

Good energy, creative sushi restaurant. AND then there was dessert. Ordered the cheesecake. I had moved away from ordering cheesecake--the offering promising more than delivering. Well, here it's great! Sushi and cheesecake? Hard to believe, but yes!

Fresh sushi and assortment of asian dishes!! Options for indoor, outdoor, bar seating, and carry out. Highly recommend the dumplings, nigiri, and noodles entree. Important to note that the JP chicken was more similar to orange chicken than chicken katsu. Also service is great, especially carry out and sitting at the bar. Always a good spot to eat at!!

I have been to Nabuki a handful of times and it has always been super busy. Reservations are highly recommended because even if they kept expanding the restaurant, it has been packed whether it was a weekday or weekend. I could say that the service was good, not great, but good enough. Considering that they were always busy, our orders were served in reasonable amount of wait times and the servers have been friendly. Their seafoods are of high quality and very fresh. The last time I had dinner here, I loved the SPIDER ROLL and the SPICY TAKO. Both rolls were delicious. The ESCOLAR was simply outstanding. I've had the NOODLES with chicken a couple of times and I should remember not to order this again. The dish is supposed to be stir fried, as what was stated on the menu, but it has been swimming in sauce the both times I've had it. I posted a picture about a year ago and I should have remembered how it was. I would prefer my stir-fried noodles to be NOT drenched in sauce, just stir-fried with meat and vegetables. Overall, Nabuki is a great option for great seafood and sushi rolls. Parking can be a little challenging since it is in downtown Hinsdale. The interior is nice, the busy vibe is energizing, and the food is satisfying. 'Til next time!

Fantastic sushi place in Hinsdale. We had the Crazy Jalapeno, Asian Tacos, and Steamed Pork Dumplings as appetizers. All were great, but the Crazy Jalapeno was our favorite by far. For dinner, we had the Kicker and Red Devil which were both fantastic as well. Highly recommended!

Service was excellent! Our server was patient and did not rush us. She brought our rolls at the appropriate time. The food was fresh and very good.

Have been here twice now and it's always packed and a bit tight so I recommend making a reservation. My husband likes their sushi and I've gotten their noodles both times I've been here since I don't eat seafood.

Came here on a Saturday evening for a double date night. The ambiance and decor was very nice from the moment we walked in. Hostess was great, she originally seated us in the table right behind the hostess wall and we kept getting a cold draft whenever someone opened the door (it was winter) so we asked if we could move and she found another table for us right away. We all ordered several dishes and a few rounds of drinks. Everything was excellent, I'm a vegetarian and they had many options for me which I was happy about. Overall it was a great evening, we sat there for almost 3hrs eating, drinking and talking. Never felt rushed off. Our bill was crazy high, but I guess this is a Hinsdale spot so it was expected.

Everything we had at Nabuki was top notch and beautifully plated! We had a bunch of the chef's rolls and they were all excellent. We ordered the off menu crabby tuna and that was by far my favorite! There are only a handful of options for anyone that is gluten free or celiac ‐ the waiter warned us the crab has wheat in it. We sat in the front of the restaurant and sound was vibrant, the seating areas closer to the back were a little quieter. Our waiter was attentive and great at making recommendations to ensure we had a great experience and a right‐sized order. A couple of us drove and free parking was readily available close by. Highly recommend if you're craving sushi!

Our absolute favorite place for sushi! It's not cheap but soooo good! The crabby jalapeño appetizer is amazing

I had Stanley cup sushi , 2 days ago n my stomach is still queasy. Had chocolate cake with supposedly ganache, were ganache was definitely missing. But the cake still was moist and tasted good was served with scoop of vanilla icecream. Which good too.

Sigh, this place is such an energy black hole. I'm always exhausted after eating here. Patrons are trying so hard to act like they are cool city people. They always screw up my take away. Service is half-assed. They need some quiet confidence and empathy.

The food here is fantastic!!! The management is super attentive, welcoming and making sure customers are pleased. We had wonderful dinner, food was incredible, nice atmosphere, clean facility, and the server Michael and the owner was awesome!

Love Nabuki! The sushi is so fresh and we can always count on our favorites to be consistent in flavor; the tuna tartare is delicious. The service is also consistently good; servers are helpful in making recommendations and always very responsive. As well, the atmosphere is perfect for having a conversation. There's nothing more uncomfortable than having to shout at the person sitting across from you at dinner. If you like sushi, Nabuki is all around a great place.

Have been here twice and both times the food has been excellent. We had Brittany as our server tonight and she was great. So upbeat and sweet. We had lettuce wraps, edamame, and tempura zucchini.... All of the apps were excellent. Brittany recommended the skirt steak and cauliflower. We split this dish and we both loved it. Great recommendation... we will definitely be coming back again!

Excellent sushi. Bartender made excellent recommendations as well as nice wine pairings. Great date location and well worth the price in my opinion.

This is the best restaurant in Hinsdale. Our favorites are the Sea Bass skewers, Stanley Cup Roll, and the Crab Rolls off the secret menu. Service is always outstanding.

So we thought we would try on a recommendations, Nabuki . This was certainly a good recommend. Located in downtown hinsdale the restaurant has an inviting decor and is very clean. Staff is very attentive as well. The drinks was tasty and made well. Most importantly their sushi rolls were outstanding ..fish was fresh and the 3 rolls we ordered were all delicous ..unfortunately I can't recall the names.. unlike many other sushi restaurants I found their desserts to be awesome . I had the lava cake that was great. Overalla great experience. My new favorite for sushi!!!

Male host was absolutely disrespectful. Understanding that it was rush hour and we didn't have a reservation, the two other hosts had told us to wait around 30 minutes before we get seated. Male host told us to leave saying that we aren't allowed to be seated. Not welcoming what so ever, none of the hosts made me feel as welcome as i should have. No staff should be treating costumers the way they did no matter the circumstances.

Nabuki definitely exceeded my expectations. I haven't been to a sushi restaurant in a long time. We went with another couple for a b-day dinner. 7pm reservation and table was ready when we arrived. This was on a Tuesday and the place was packed. You really need to make a reservation to get in. Pork dumplings, scallop yakitori, kicker rolls, hamachi and a couple more items. They were all well prepared and flavors were on point. Saki, cocktails and wine list were pretty impressive. Our server did a great job and the back waiter did a great job keeping our table clean.I'm definitely a return customer. On a side note. My chopstick skills suck...haha. Cheers!

Mike was a great server. Loved all his recommendations! The grilled sea bass skewers came with a delicious miso sauce that I will dream about.

Big city sushi quality. frustratingly slow service. The 4 sushi rolls we ordered were all very good. My wife got several individual Nigiri pieces, and we were surprised they had Uni. The only thing that was sub par was how long it took for the food to come out. And how long it took to ask for, then receive the check. The restaurant was not crowded, though it is a fairly large establishment. I would not go here for date night cocktails and a few apps. The drinks are expensive, stick with sushi.

Nabuki is the best sushi I have ever had and always hits. The Nabu is my go to roll and I never get tired of this place! 100 stars

Favorite sushi spot in the Western suburbs. Best item on the menu to me is the crabby tuna and the stop drop and roll. They also have a secret menu. Ask your server or take out person for some tips and you will hear about cool things.

Nabuki is a great time!! They could improve their service a bit!! However the sushi there is delicious and I enjoyed it a lot. I went during March madness and it was a good time.

I usually take photos but forgot because I was so hungry! My bf and I ordered an assortment of nigiri ,everything was very fresh. We also got the cold soba noodles and WOW. The best cold noodles I've had, they have a good kick of chili oil so if you like spicy this is a def must try. The cold with the spicy goes very well. The servers were all very helpful and nice. I will def be back.

Pretty loud and I had arrived maybe 1 hr before closing the kitchen so I was rushed to order, sushi was good the toro was served with nothing on it and was no explanation on what I order when it was brought to my table. Maybe have to visit the place earlier.

One of the best sushi places I've had in the burbs. Everything tasted delicious and fresh. The Nabu roll was definitely one of my favorites! Service was friendly and the server never made us feel rushed even though we didn't wrap up until they were closing. Ambiance is also very nice but it definitely gets crowded on the weekend so reservations are highly recommended.

Excellent service and of course, delicious food. The team at Nabuki, especially our server, Ai Go, went above and beyond to make my toddler feel welcome and special during dinner on NYE. Really appreciated everything she did and looking forward to going back for another meal.

Nabuki was an excellent sushi/japanese dinner option (for those who find themselves in downtown Hinsdale). Small restaurant with modern/sleek ambiance - small front bar, sushi bar in the back, and prob 15-20 tables. Waitstaff was friendly/attentive, tho a bit slow in bringing food out. Waiter suggested multiple off-menu items, and there wasn't a single miss among the 4-5 dishes we had. Red snapper sashimi & (off menu, I think) maki with crab meat were the highlights.

Probably the best sushi place in the area. Staff and food are excellent! It's definitely a go to place here in town and I would highly recommend it.

Honestly, the food just alright. Calamari was a bit under done, arriving before my drink order and within 5 mins of ordering it. I'd rather have it underdone than overdone but the batter was clearly barely fried. The service was okay, but my poor server was alone in our section with one incredibly demanding table so we had to wait so long for attention, it was weird no one felt the need to help her or step in. The managers on duty allowed some woman to walk angrily around the dining room pointing out tables she felt she could be sat at, at one point she was standing so close to me I could feel and smell her, which absolutely ruined my meal. It wasn't the worst sushi experience but I simply won't be back.
