SerpAPI
Excellent qusadilla, simple yet very satisfying. I got mine with sour cream and guacamole. Nice crunch on the tortilla which is sometimes hard to find. They also put enough ingredient inside. Perfect portions! This coming from a Mexican girl from LA. If I was here for longer I would definitely try again.

SerpAPI
Margaritas are bomb. Carne Asade Bowl, bomb. But the guacamole, let me tell you, BOMB Haven’t had anything bad from here! Try their frozen flavored margaritas, you won’t regret it ;)

I came here alone and the service was very nice! They kept checking in on me to make sure I had a full glass of water. I was also recommended a different item on the menu than what I originally ordered because they realized there was something else on the menu better suited for my taste. I really appreciated that and the food was great! Will definitely be returning soon.

SerpAPI
I've been here many times now, the food and drinks are always great and so is the service! Super tasty frozen margaritas. I love the nacho macho quesadilla and their mushroom tacos and guacamole are tasty too.

SerpAPI
One of the best neighborhood Mexican restaurants. Hibiscus margaritas and Al pastor tacos are my go tos 🌺🍹🌮

Had a lovely time enjoying tacos, chips, and a modelo. Staff were all very friendly and the food was nice. Great outdoor space with direct sun in the afternoon. Pretty good from a sustainability point of view. No single use except for the plastic straw, but it was wrapped so I left and it can be used by someone else!

great service, amazing food and super tasty homemade horacha

Very rude and disrespectful host, Upsetting and disappointing experience. Staff needs to be held accountable for mistreating me. My food was poorly package in a wet paper bag the food was not sealed properly and leaked inside. When the food was left at my door the paper bag tore and my food spilt all over my doorway and legs. U erEats said they cant refund me because "this order was not eligible for a refund". I contacted the restaurant and explained my misfortune hoping for some kindness, maybe some empathy but I fully expecting basic costumer service. I spoke with a young women who I assume may of been the host, and I explained what had happened. She did not listen to me, she spoke over me. I reexplained myself and she still spoke over me and didn't listen to what I had to say. I excused myself and asked her for her name, she refused to tell me because she said she didn't have to, she continued to be aggressive with me I asked to speak with the manger or supervisor. I was told none were available on a weekend, Sunday evening, at 8:18pm. Now Listen, I understand that you (the restaurant) may have a policy and that U er may be require to assist me with a refund in this situation... but honestly...no matter the situation...I'm a customer. Ive eat at your location several times....and even if I wasn't a returning customer...no one deserves to spoken to the way I was. I'm just has equally valuable as anyone sitting in the seats there. I didn't poorly seal the lid to the container, I didn't package the food in a thin wet paper bag but I sure enough had to clean an entire burrito bowl off my buildings hallway floor... sour cream and all.... So the least y'all could of done was apologize instead of loudly talking over me and treating me like I was a worthless waste of time. I very much would like to speak with the manager and owner about this incredibly awful experience

Yelp
Great, authentic, tasty food. All homeade. Chill, attentive staff. Great atmosphere.

Yelp
I cannot rate this place high enough for so many reasons. 1. The food is great and fast. For the price, you won't get a better taco, burrito or Torta in the neighboorhood. 2. Margaritas - very, very good. Any come in a variety of flavors. 3. The staff - simply put, they're all awesome. Incredibly friendly and always patience with our rambunctious 4 year old. They literally could not be nicer. Simply put - a great local Mexican joint with great food and even better people.

Yelp
Hands-down, the best burrito it's worth the $25. You get what you pay for with the meat and all the extras is fresh. It tastes delicious it hit the spot. I just wish I gave you some salsa or a napkin so I guess they make up for it with all the good meat. just have your salsa handy in your fridge cause this place doesn't give any

Ashley A.

Yelp
Amazing food, service was great and the ambiance too! We loved it. If you enjoy Mexican food it's definitely worth a visit.

Yelp
Ordered pickup on a Thursday night and it was ready within 10 minutes. My first time trying Nacho Macho Taco after living in the neighborhood for over a year, I was pretty excited. I ordered a grilled shrimp burrito and was pleased to find it was pretty big. While overall it was pretty tasty, the shrimp were over cooked and rubbery. It also took a few bites to get past the excess tortilla and actually find the filling. Other than these two things, it really was a good burrito and one of the better ones I've had in NYC. I'll almost definitely be back to give it a second chance.

Anita O.

Yelp
Food and service was great . Definitely will be back again . Authentic Mexican food .

Yelp
Went with 4 friends and sat right outside the front door. Would be nice if they could take out the umbrellas once the sun goes down so we can better see each other at the table without umbrella in way. Service came pretty quickly and the food came out promptly. Classic mexican restaurant ambiance. All 4 of us got the classic frozen margaritas. 3/4 liked them, 1 thought it didn't taste good. I rather much enjoyed mine. My friend who got the birria says it was average but not bad. The meat wasn't that great, and it's $17 so maybe go a different direction on the menu. I got the burrito bowl, and it was also average. Nothing wrong with it, just a bit bland for my taste. Cojita was extra. I'd say tacos are your best bet here. Would i eat here again: probably not soon Ambiance: casual

Yelp
Thank you for this late night spot Late night dinner spot warning. When everything else was full with 1 hour wait... Nacho Macho Taco pulled through. Food was authentic and great. Prices were cheap and wonderful. They drinks were clearly made by a local! We left full and happy. This is a run too place! Don't walk! Small area for dinning so best for couples or small groups. Huge menu, lots of choices. You will thank us later!

Yelp
A neighborhood staple is what I would call it. There are those places in the community that delivers quality food and service consistently. Nacho Macho Taco is one of those places. Right from the start, if you are looking for quality Mexican food, Nacho Macho Taco is your place. As I mentioned, the food was excellent. I enjoyed a burrito bowl, and my friend had a traditional burrito. I also had a raspberry frozen margarita which was also flavorful. The service was superb, as I mentioned, and the outdoor seating was also lovely. Nacho Macho Taco is a solid restaurant. I plan to return very soon. I recommend that you give them a try.

Yelp
I've tried this place out for delivery several times. They are always super quick and accurate with the orders. Their Homemade Horchata is refreshing with strong cinnamon flavor and just the right amount of sweetness. The first time I selected the Fish Bowl lunch special, which comes with chips and salsa, as well as a drink. Chips were satisfyingly thick and crispy, while salsa was spicy and chunky. The fish was delightfully tender, flaky, and well seasoned. There was also rice, lettuce, cheese, and pico gallo in the bowl. Normally it would also come with black beans, but I asked for it without. The rice was perfectly cooked, and there was a generous amount of tasty, irresistibly melty cheese. The lettuce and pico gallo added a nicely fresh, crunchy element. Another time I ordered Steak Enchilada with mole sauce. The tortilla was soft with plenty of yummy melted cheese on top. The steak was wonderfully succulent, juicy, and full of bold flavor. The sauce was thick, savory, with slight taste of actual chocolate. I've also had the Chorizo Quesadilla, which was stuffed with high quality chorizo sausage, along with rice, tons of cheese, and I added Cotija, as well as Sour Cream. The only issue was that the filling was on the greasy side. All the ingredients combined together beautifully and the tortilla had a lovely crispiness. Prices are quite reasonable and next time, would like to have the following tacos: Shrimp, Carnitas Pork, Ground Beef, and Al Pastor.

Vicky P.

Yelp
Stumbled upon this spot and was pleasantly surprised. The grilled fish burrito bowl was extremely delicious. The fish was cooked perfectly and was seasoned very well. The bowl was substantial--had pico de gallo, black beans, rice, cheese, and lettuce. The carnitas quesadilla was very yummy as well. I also enjoyed my tamarind margarita

Kiesha S.

Yelp
The tacos were so good! The service was great. It was a quick bite for us to get lunch and get back on the road to Philly. I would definitely stop back in if I am in the area.

Amanda D.

Yelp
I used to love this place so so much and my most recent visit was very mediocre. My tacos lacked flavor & I found it a little odd that both were served on a bed of lettuce. Reminded me of americanized tacos. The guac was super fresh and my favorite part of the meal. However, the price for the guac for the amount you get is a little ridiculous -- esp since we got a large & the guac was gone in a few bites.

Alero B.

Yelp
I really wanted to give them more star but went with only 3 because the food was decent but I order 3 taco & an order of chicken nachos and they gave me one packet of green sauce & nothing else. Now they know they are wrong for that. And it had the nerve to be teeny tiny pack at that. And there wasn't a jalapeño in site on my nachos. I'll stick with the mom & pop spots who make their own sauce & dole it out accordingly.

Nasarah M.

Yelp
Terrible. These birria were soggy and had no flavor. Service was slow and they did not keep up with our drinks.

Ebony C.

Yelp
I've walked by this place countless times in the years that I've lived in the area. I've smelled the deliciousness every time and said I need to try this spot. I finally ordered and it didn't disappoint. A tostada, milanesa torta, grilled steak taco, or quesadilla are my usual. It has become my go to delivery or pick up spot when I'm in the mood for Mexican. Always quick with the delivery and the pick up.

Alyssa R.

Yelp
What's not to like about Nacho Macho!? + They serve up super yummy tacos that are pretty big. I have a tendency to order three b/c that seems like a good number... but I am almost always stuffed after two. + On the weekends they have a brunch menu with breakfast tacooooos! + The outdoor space is lovely and perfect on one of those beautiful spring/summer nights. + The inside is fun and festive and full of color and mexican themed artifacts and knickknacks. Bonus points for the name -- it's so much fun to say! NACHO MACHO.

Adri P.

Yelp
This used to be my go-to spot to order nachos on a bad day #stresseating. This time around the nachos were not good at all. The chips didn't taste fresh, there was virtually no cheese (which was honestly the reason for me ordering nachos), an insane amount of beans, and just a few bites of al pastor. The al pastor wasn't memorable (I should've ordered my usual chorizo, which is always good here) For nearly $20, I expected these nachos to be on point. Super disappointing. I ended up throwing them away after a few bites. The tres leches was also very meh. The saving grace was the frozen mango margarita. It packed a punch.

Yesenia M.

Yelp
I was excited to see a vegetarian quesadilla with a filling other than mushroom so I had to check it out and it did not disappoint! The quesadilla as is tastes great but you also have the option to customize with a variety of add-ons including beans, sour cream, guac, rice, and more. The quesadilla is filling without leaving you overly stuffed and because it's spinach it's also not very heavy but hearty enough. I like it so much I haven't bothered trying anything else on the menu! That said, I am not crazy about the service and prefer to order online... The waitress was not very friendly and on both dine in occasions I had to ask for water. During my second visit I ordered sour cream on the side and when I asked where it was they said they put it inside then made a big deal of my request so I decided to forego my side of sour cream. The drink and dessert menus are fairly limited and while typically lively the dry/unfriendly staff puts this on the "order in" list for me. Food alone I would give this place 4 starts but docking one customer service.

Kristia B.

Yelp
With no parking in sight and bellies aching for delicious Mexican cuisine, we phoned in our order and ate in our car. Our order (two burritos: grilled chicken and grilled steak) was ready within five to ten minutes. I was searching the menu for desserts and just happened to ask if they had churros, thankfully they did. The grilled chicken burrito (rice, beans, lettuce, pico de gallo, minus the cheese) was an EXPERIENCE. With the burrito in hand, I felt like I was moving in slow motion, living in the moment, and savoring every flavor. It was so fresh and that portion size would satisfy any appetite. Through every bite, I could feel how much warmth, love, and deep appreciation of the ingredients went into crafting this meal. It was undeniable. Thank you! To top it all off, the churros were the icing on the cake. I was not a fan of the dip, but it did not dampen my first impressions of Nacho Macho Taco. We reached a consensus, we will be back for more.

Kaela B.

Yelp
Solid service. This is my go to neighborhood Mexican spot for the price and portions. The inside is small and a bit stuffy. So I mostly take our or eat outside on a nice day. Great at for take out. They offer free delivery if you are in the area.

Farrah B.

Yelp
I wanted to come to this restaurant for the better part of 2 years with super excited when I friend also wanted to go after checking out the food pics. Parking here is a nightmare. After driving around for 10 minutes I found a metered spot a block away. I should have taken it as a hint when even folks that were coming to pick up orders were as confused on the process of entry, according to the signs on the door. I poked my head into ask whether I leave it to wait outside to be seated for outdoor or indoor dining in was given a weird responses. They seemed confused or frazzled. I was told I had to wait outside until my entire party arrived. Um.... it was for a party of two, with only ONE couple dining, inside and out. As the kids say, weird flex, but okay. My friend came a few minutes later and due to the weather, we chose to eat inside. The covid protocol list was a mess of papers with people's info on it. I filled it out anyway and we were giving a basket of chips and salsa. Before tasting these chips, we were both set on getting nachos, but the strange thick slightly stale texture changed our minds. The menu is set up nothing like the actual pictures, everything is an add on for almost everything. I was hungry so I went for the super quesadilla with grilled chicken and my friend got chicken enchiladas. It came put in a normal amount of time, but what was on my plate was not at all what I expected. Plain white rice, plain black beans, some chopped tomatoes and cheddar cheese blend. No chicken. I let it go because I was hungry. Notified the server and took a bite.... nothing. No seasoning. No taste. I was so sad. I looked over at my friend and he was busy heaping on hot sauce, due to a lack of flavor. I swear I was in shock, pretty much lost my appetite. I ended up packing up the other half of the quesadilla (I'll spruce it up at home). We got the bill and it revealed a $3.25 upcharge for the guacamole being taken out of a hot quesadilla and served alongside the .75 sour cream. Again, another wtf moment. I requested a to go container, it was given. The bill was corrected and we paid, tipped above average and left. Not at all what I expected. My friend was shocked his jarritos soda was $3.50. I mean it's Brooklyn Heights. In retrospect, as i stood outside upon arrival, i chit chatted with another person online, I found out he was a health inspector. I chalked up the weird behavior from the staff due to his visit. But the rest of the visit surely does not warrant another visit.

Yelp
3.5 rounded up - (4/5) Fish taco was very flavorful - the fish was nicely seasoned and the mayo on it was good. It's pretty steep ($5.95) for the tacos around town but I'd go back and have a fish taco or try another. (3/5) Burrito was okay . You have to pay extra for sour cream (sad) and the chicken was flavorful but past that, not one of my favorites. I'd come back for the tacos before I came back for the burrito. (5/5)Delivery was quick and I know it's through another service, but that means my order was done very quickly!

Georgie B.

Yelp
It's alright. Sometimes they forget stuff so check your to-go order if you're picking up. Recently ordered Birria sandwich and the dipping broth didn't come with it. Which turned it into a dry beef sandwich. Maybe the sandwich no longer comes with the au jus but the birria tacos are weak af so I don't recommend. Service is usually very good if dining in.

Susan S.

Yelp
There was no notice anywhere but the waitress charged us 20% automatic tip for a party of 2 adults, 2 kids. Plus when the kids food was too spicy for them, they refused to exchange the food so we ended up spending close to $100 for dinner with no alcohol. They need to be more transparent.

Aiman S.

Yelp
Beyond ecstatic to see another casual, affordable tacqueria in my area. I've passed this little joint many times on my way to Prospect Park but finally stopped by with my partner for a quick lunch before a bike ride in the park the other day. Got the stamp of approval that the decorations were authentic Mexican and that the food aligned as well! I wasn't too hungry and just got tostada and horchata and they both hit the spot! The tostada had a bit too much cojita cheese on it but otherwise was filling and the chicken was flavored well. My partner enjoyed the Al Pastor tacos which is high praise from a native Mexican & Al Pastor lover. The place is small and very casual, almost a small hole in wall feel. The food is good and cheap (for the city at least), service is fast and kind, and the restaurant is the real deal. Closest thing in NYC to the taquerias around Duluth and Buford I used to frequent when I was in ATL!

Yelp
Nacho... Macho... Taco... Gotta love that name. Gotta love this spot. This would be second most favorite take out spot for burritos (after B'klyn Burro). Shrimp burritos, chicken burritos, carnitas quesadillas... that's all par for the course here. Don't forget your guac and chips. And if you're down (and you gotta be down) get yourself a couple of margaritas. Quite tasty here- even if it's delivery.

Michael H.

Yelp
Food was good. Service was prompt (my takeout was ready quickly). Ambiance looked good as I passed through for my takeout. It's decent food just not remarkable.

Anjana S.

Yelp
Best chicken tinga- beats every other a lot on Washington Ave, Vanderbilt, and Franklin. Love their guacamole and margaritas also.

Barney C.

Yelp
Great food, good vibes. TL;DR Version: - Pretty grub. B+ for authenticity - Good margs - Service pretty good. - Outdoor seating available Long Winded Version: Food: 3.5/5 - It's good but could use some more authentic spices. Flavors could use a kick. Location: 4.5/5 - Crown Heights bordering Park Slope so there's plenty of other shops and restaurants near by. Public transportation options are plentiful. Atmosphere / Ambiance: 4.5/5 - Dined in their outdoor dining and it was pretty solid. It was rainy so there wasn't a crowd and the mood was real chill with enough space for social distancing. Quality: 4.5/5 - Quality products were used just some of the stuff was a little bland.

Ori E.

Yelp
We enjoyed the delicious food, along with the delightful cocktails and the friendly customer service.

Shu Jin S.

Yelp
Cheese quesadilla Al pastor burrito Chips and guacamole ....all of these were incredibly delicious. I have been trying to support local restaurants, and found this gem. The meal was sheer perfection, and please thank your staff, for doing what they're doing, and let them know that they are appreciated!

Lindsey O.

Yelp
Great tacos! They have a nice taco Tuesday special for $8.99 for three tacos. They're pretty big and very tasty so great deal for the price! I had the al pastor, spicy stewed chicken, and fish taco. All three were good but the al pastor was definitely my favorite. The staff/owners are from Morelos in Mexico and definitely make authentic tasting food! The decor is good too and good service. I've ordered delivery a couple of times too and it has been good then (but I usually don't write reviews on delivery only experiences as it doesn't really compare). Will come back!

Tim J.

Yelp
Authentic. Flavorful. Reasonably priced. Nice break from the Chipotle grind. I've been there twic and both times staff was very busy but friendly.

Marla F.

Yelp
Had the late night munchies after dinner so naturally I hopped onto Yelp and clicked "Open Now" (was 10pm). This has great reviews/enticing photos and was on the first page plus a $0 delivery fee-- SOLD! I got the cheese quesadilla $6.75 and for extra money I chose to add jalapeños, sour cream and pico de gallo ($3.75 or so more). My friend ordered just a side of beans with cheese which she was very happy with. Delivery was quick and I was pleasantly surprised at my quesadilla! It wasn't soggy like most delivered quesadillas are. It was still crispy, big and ALL the toppings were INSIDE instead of on top which I'm not used to but am now obsessed with. Great quality and awesome execution. Yum yum yum.

Kymberli R.

Yelp
If you're looking for a quick bite perhaps this could be your spot but if you value good food and margaritas this is not the spot. While the service is quick and the portions were generous, the corn tortillas were too thin for the amount of shrimp and mushrooms included. The portobello mushroom taco was smothered in avocado sauce which took away from the depth of flavor in the mushrooms. Both tacos were dripping to the point of making the tacos soggy. I asked for an opinion on the hibiscus margarita and the waiter struggled to communicate. He attempted to recommend the pineapple only after the first sip it was poorly balanced and sour as though the pineapple had gone bad. When we tried to share and ask of it was possible to request a classic we were told to pay for it. Three ppl came over to share the same result-having to pay for another drink that was barely consumed. I'm all for understanding inflation and businesses getting their return on investment but the greatest investment is to invest in your customer service to encourage repeat business.

Elizabeth B.

Yelp
Amazing food and service with such a fun atmosphere. Highly recommend when in Brooklyn!

Free Free S.

Yelp
don't wast your time or money. the food is below mediocre and the prices are out of control. i paid $5.60 for a soggy, flavorless chorizo taco which is beyond absurd to me. they have several branches and they are all bad.

Michelle L.

Yelp
Had a lovely time enjoying tacos, chips, and a modelo. Staff were all very friendly and the food was nice. Great outdoor space with direct sun in the afternoon. Pretty good from a sustainability point of view. No single use except for the plastic straw, but it was wrapped so I left and it can be used by someone else!

Yelp
This is one of my go-to places for delivery as well as eating in. In terms of value, this place cannot be beat - huuuge portions for the price. I usually get the burrito bowl which is chock full of ingredients, and they don't skimp on the protein. The place itself is run by a whole bunch of nice people. There's usually some soccer on the televisions. The best part: it's BYOB!! If you didn't come prepared no worries - go to the bodega across the street which has some Modelo Especial on the cheap. Oh yea - they have free chips and salsa too; this is a norm for restaurants outside of NYC but seems more of a rarity here so much appreciated. Delivery is super fast too - to where I live, they usually deliver at least 15 minutes prior to the estimated time. TLDR: fast Mexican food at great prices...and BYOB!

Mihael K.

Yelp
There are a lot of things to love about Nacho Macho Taco. For one: happy hour taco deals. Yes, you heard me right. Who doesn't love happy hour tacos?!? I ordered three tacos here: chorizo, tinga, and al pastor. All three were great but the chorizo was my favorite and definitely recommended. The toppings on the taco were great and they use two shells for each one. My only complaint as far as the tacos go were that they tended to break apart easily even with the two shells, especially the tinga one. Either way though, it was well seasoned and delicious. They also brought out salsa and tortilla chips before the meal. The salsa was to die for! I almost wanted to ask for more! Service was quick and the tacos came out right away. The place is cozy, casual, and brightly decorated. A very fun atmosphere and I would definitely come here again.

Jeannette N.

Yelp
BYOB. No beer, no margs. Come prepared! I've been a couple times now and always leave feeling like, meh, that was okay. The al pastor quesadilla was pretty good and the chicken enchiladas were mediocre at best. I also didn't feel like the basics were particualry stand out, like their chips, salsa, rice and beans. It's certainly not bad Mexican food, but I think there are better Mexican spots in the neighborhood. The vibe is very casual and usually they have a soccer game on. Servers are very friendly. I do love the name Nacho Macho Taco. Maybe I need to try the nachos...next time!

Jessica G.

Yelp
Second time ordering Uber eats from here and I'm always satisfied! The grilled chicken enchilada is soooo good, just get it! You will love it!

Lawrence B.

Yelp
A nice casual neighborhood spot to grab a good meal, excellent margaritas and hang with friends.

Cherokee R.

Yelp
Great food and service. Food is fresh prepared to order. I absolutely love the salsa and chips.

Cathy K.

Yelp
Everything here is amazing and service is always super friendly, and everyone I know in the neighborhood say the exact same thing. Delivery is consistently delivered before estimated time. Usually go-to includes loaded nachos, elote, shrimp tacos and steak enchiladas. You can't go wrong.

Danielle B.

Yelp
I finally made it here after hearing great things. I had chorizo, chicken, and portobello tacos but was tempted by a lot of the other options on the menu. The meat tacos were amazing and bigger than most I've had. The veggie one was ok, I wish it had more cheese. There are several margarita options to choose from. I went with the classic frozen one and I loved it. It had a great balance of all the ingredients with tang. The classic marg on the rocks was good but if I go back I'd try another flavor like a jalapeño one. I'll likely be back soon. We ate outside - there are several small tables surrounding the restaurant which benefits from its corner location, and it was a nice experience especially after being inside so much! There aren't servers, you order inside then pick it up.

Kerrie D.

Yelp
LOVE LOVE LOVE I know that many people love Mexican food and I can definitely appreciate it's complexity, but it is never my first choice. I found myself in the laundromat across from Nacho Macho Taco and noticed a lovely table outdoors in the shade. Why not do laundry and eat lunch at the same time??? Ordered the chicken enchiladas in mole sauce and it was a revelation. Without question, the best I have ever had. The mole sauce was so layered and truly delicious. When it arrived, I thought I would NEVER finish it all, but I did. It was that good! Service was super friendly and accommodating. Lots of check-ins for more ice water etc...

Liliana R.

Yelp
Love their burritos. They have a cute and colorful outdoor space too. Reasonable prices and large portions.
