First things first—get the Native Taco. You won’t regret it! Nacho Mama's Fry Bread Cafe is an absolute gem! We tried the Native Taco, beef stew, and zucchini fries, and every bite was incredible. The Native Taco was the standout—perfectly seasoned beef and beans, piled high with fresh veggies, all resting on a warm, pillowy fry bread that was crispy on the outside and soft inside. If you've never had a Native Taco before, this is the place to try it; if you have, this is exactly how it should be done! The beef stew was rich and hearty, and the zucchini fries were a crispy, flavorful surprise. On top of the fantastic food, the welcoming staff made the experience feel like visiting friends for dinner. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and with a bar and a tempting breakfast menu, there's even more to come back for. As a bonus, they have live acoustic music on Friday nights. With a full bar it would be a nice low key spot to hang out in white center. I waited too long to go in—don’t make the same mistake! If you’re still not convinced, let me say it again: Get the Native Taco!

Overall five stars for a family business that does the thing they do very well. We had a great time trying out fry bread and I definitely recommend getting the wojapi sauce. Would come back if I’m in the area for sure. Friendly service! The only thing I would mention is that they really need to play music or something in the restaurant because it was awkwardly quiet when we came in.

This place is SO good!! Do not miss out on it. Owner is lovely too. I will be back to try more things. The burger was insanely good, as was the stuffed fry bread.

I really wanted to rate this place higher because of the potential and knowing that the owner is the only person cooking and running the place, and, after paying over $40+tip for what we experienced, I left feeling disappointed. Regardless, pluses overall are that the place is clean, pretty spacious, and comfortable inside. There was a water station, clean bathrooms, and free street parking across. The owner seems kind, just absolutely overwhelmed. My husband and I walked in and saw someone waiting for take out. We waited about 10-15 minutes unsure what to do, until another couple came in, then the owner came out to take our orders. Besides appearing to be busy, she made many comments aloud about how busy she is, and needing to help make more dough or she’d have to close early.. Wait for our food wasn’t bad, about 15-20 more minutes. Our order was initially taken to the wrong table. Even still, I got served the wrong dish, then the owner comes back out and yells “wait don’t touch those nachos!” even though that was the correct half of our order..She fumbles around with the receipts and comments loudly how she doesn’t have her glasses, then I hear her talking to someone in the back, about again, needing help to make more dough because it was a busy day or she’d have to close. The food tasted rushed—flavor lacked and the frybread was tough and not very warm. I had to remind the person helping that I’d ordered the sweet frybread as well. I was anxious about having clicked “no” for receipt since things were so unorganized. We weren’t checked on again. The owner seems to have a heart for the business, and, because of all of the disorganization and overall experience, I wouldn’t return until quite a few changes are made. I left feeling like it might have helped to just not go in..maybe switching to take out only for now would lessen the burden? I’m sure running a small food business is really challenging these days, so I do hope things get better for the owner. I overheard her saying she got a grant from the city to renovate, I hope that can help with hiring and improving the experience in the future.

Nacho Mama's fry bread Cafe was very quaint. We went for lunch and there wasn't a ton of people there however it took quite a while for us to be served and it took a while for our food to arrive. We did go on a Friday and we got free fry bread that had cinnamon and sugar which tasted like an elephant ear and that was pretty good. The food overall was fine but nothing to write home about. The servers were nice but just a little inattentive.

I recently dined at Nacho Mama’s Fry Bread Cafe and had an absolutely delightful experience! The Stuffed Fry Bread was bursting with flavor, the Native Taco was a delicious twist on a classic dish, and the Rez Burger hit the spot with its simplicity. The owner's hospitality truly made the meal even more enjoyable. Can't wait to visit again!

Google
I ordered a traditional breakfast and was surprised with a side of fry bread with what appears to be homemade preserves, which was fabulous. The place is clean and well organized. Service isn't the fastest, but it was extremely pleasant talking to the folks there.

Yelp
Not only is the food absolutely delicious, but the owner, Deb, and team are the warmest, most delightful people. I can't recommend Nacho Mama enough!

Yelp
I recently tried this place and loved it. The food was incredible. I ordered the fry bread Philly and my husband ordered the Rez burger. It was flavorful and fresh and one of those meals I was sad to finish because I didn't want it to end. The service was great and the owner was really nice and you could tell she loves her restaurant and food. The owner wears all hats in this restaurant so this is something to be aware of. Call ahead if you're in a hurry. But it is 100% worth the wait.

Yelp
food and experience reminded me of being at my aunties house. I definitely recommend!

Yelp
Small eating area - just 5 or 6 tables - but nice and clean. The menu is heavy on the fried stuff, so don't think this is going to be healthy, even with the zucchini chips (which were delish, but heavy on the gut!) I had a fry bread sandwich and I forget what my hubs had, but it was all tasty, just pretty greasy from all the deep frying. I'd be willing to go again, but definitely plan for a walk after!

Yelp
WOW! Saw this place on TikTok and had to come by. The owner was an amazing host - and served the best Fry Bread I've ever had! Beautiful dining room with plenty of Native American influence. Great homestyle service. Had to wait a few minutes between drink service and full meals being delivered - but the food was worth the wait. Had to take 5 pieces of Cinnamon Fry Bread home to our kids! Will definitely be back.

Yelp
Love Nacho Mama's!! Finally stopped in for lunch and asked what was recommended. The Philly Fry Bread was outstanding! Highly suggest you try it! Returning soon and telling all my friends. You're missing out if you don't stop in. I haven't added a review on Yelp in years. Nacho Mama's brought be back. So amazing! YUM!!!

Yelp
I really wanted to love this place as the owner was super friendly and I love frying bread. We came in on a Sunday at 11am and waited 30 minutes for our Nacho's appetizer then another 30 min for the mains - we both got the cheese steak fry bread. The Nachos were very sad - microwaved cheese sauces, taco meat, etc on round nacho chips. Something I could have made 10x better at home. It felt like the dish was cooked in the microwave. The fry bread itself was delicious and fluffy but the toppings were greasy and awful. I ate maybe 1/3 of my meal - mostly the bread part and left the rest. Lastly the restaurant itself was super cold, had no music playing, and it was just unappealing being there. Time to get another brunch. I really hope the owner can make some changes - buy higher quality meat and ingredients, hire more staff, and re-ramp some recipes as the way it stands now I'd give it maybe 3-4 months tops before it closes.

Yelp
Come, but bring your joy and patience. This small one woman shop is getting her butt kicked, but doing it with love and gratitude. I had the native taco and the fry bread was delightful.

Yelp
Alright. So, this place was recommended by a friend. First, I ordered the Nacho fry bread. You CAN NOT serve people canned chili when you're claiming to be a cook. Seasoning is non existent here. The fry bread was very oily and thick and undercooked,it also took a very long time to prepare.I was extremely surprised by her very intoxicated, non-stop talking, "friend"aggressive large dog roaming around the place barking loudly at me and shedding everywhere. First and only time going here, now I see why it's closed all the time.

Allison O.

Yelp
First of all, the food is delicious. That's important to state up front. This is a cute little diner with less than ten tables. We came because we saw a tik tok about how good the food is and how adorable the cafe is. Unfortunately, the staff was not ready for the business a single tik tok can generate. There was one lady doing everything, cooking, serving, everything. Eventually she called her granddaughter, but stress levels were already high and service suffered. Customers refilled their own coffee, cleaned out own tables. More and more people showed up and had to be turned away. I genuinely want this place to succeed, the food is so good, the cafe is adorable, and the staff were very nice despite all the stress. I hope they can hire more staff to help run this cafe because it deserves to thrive. Go when it's not busy and you'll truly enjoy your experience.

Yelp
Been meaning to try this place since we moved to the area a few months ago and finally got the chance. We had the salmon cakes, stuffed fry bread, and zucchini fries and everything was phenomenal! Portions were large, prices were modest, and the food was delicious. The ambience was nice and we had the place to ourselves for a Wednesday lunch. I've got some friends swinging through town in a couple weeks on like a 6 hour layover and I'm stoked I'm going to get to drag them here for brunch. Also breakfast served all day! No pics, I was too busy eating.!

Yelp
We saw the sign for this as we were walking to another restaurant and knew we had to come back. I have a friend who LOVES Native American Frybread, but I'd never had it, and that changed today. It was a quieter Friday night dinner, but we got to chat with the kind woman who runs it, so it was great. She offers breakfast all day, solid entree options, and a decent bar of beer, wine, and spirits! So we grabbed a couple of bottles of Raindogs and the fried zucchini to start. I don't know what the breading was, but it was light and crispy and wonderful. Then we got a breakfast bagel and the beef stew for dinner. A breakfast sandwich can sometimes be "whatever" but this was solid and overflowing with egg and fillings. I don't eat beef, so there were fewer options for me, but the broth of the stew was absolutely delicious and the perfect comfort food on a cold evening. Finally it was time for more Frybread! Fridays are free Frybread with entree so we got a butter & jam (back to that in a second) and cinnamon sugar. This was a better, less greasy, and lighter Funnel Cake that I want all the time Now, the jam. Oh. My. Goodness. This berry compote is homemade with strawberries, blackberries, blueberries and raspberries, and honey, and it's phenomenal. She sells it by the jar, too (one came home with me). We'll be back for sure!

Yelp
So good! So happy to find a good Indian taco/ frybread place locally. We just happened upon it and we're very pleasantly surprised. You better go check it out!

Yelp
Sucks if I could give it a 0 I would. food was disgusting woman who owns is probably taking advantage of the slim chance her great great great 5 times more great grandparents were native. The tribe she says she comes from is not even a recognized tribe in the US. Had the most horrible experience here with both disgusting food and unaccebtable service. I honestly don't understand how ratings are so high.

Frankie P.

Yelp
I ordered the Zucchini fries and the Rez burger, both were so tasty. I was full after eating the rez burger. The patty was so thick and juicy. The fry bread was perfect. Felt like being at home definitely coming again to try more of the menu.

Yelp
I have never had Indian fried bread before so I was very exciting to try it at Nacho Mama's. Deb, the owner is the most friendliest owner I've met. You can really tell she is passionate about her work and the community. Anyways we got the Nacho Fried Bread which was fried bread with beans, beef, tomatoes, lettuce, onions, cheese, and a side of salsa. The bread was so doughy and reminded me of sour dough. What a great experience!

Yelp
Decided to check out this "newish" place for our book club meet. They've been open since Nov '23. The store itself is pretty small, with seating for about 20 people. The room is decorated with Native American art, which lends to its "fry bread" theme. There are two electric fireplaces for heating and music softly playing in the background. Menus are simple with just the right amount of items to choose from. My friends had the nachos and a Philly cheesesteak fry bread. I had the original fry bread taco. Servings are decent with the nachos being pretty big. Fry bread was both crunchy and chewy at the same time. Fresh veggie toppings and overall very good flavor on all items! For dessert my friends had the mango fry bread sundae and the caramel apple fry bread sundaes. I've never seen them so quiet as they ate every last bite! They said it was amazing! I was too full to even taste! There is also a separate alcohol beverage menu offering the usual beer and wine and classic cocktails. The only issue we had was slow service. The only person working was the owner who was very nice, but wore all hats in the store from taking orders to cooking to serving. However, knowing that, we will still go back!

Yelp
You wanna support local? Like, really really local? Like, mom and pop native to this land local? Nacho Mama's the place to be with unpretentious food that has a home cooked feel to everything that White Center deserves. Not Bellevue. Not Mercer Island. Not Madison Park. White Center. Nacho Mama's serves up some delicious greasy greasy fry bread greasy greasy fry bread (Hulu's Reservation Dogs is a great watch), native tacos, Nachos of course, and other great stuff in between. The gravy fry bread is a dish passed down from generation to generations and one of the oldest in the owner's tribe. I came around brunch and got the Chorizo Huevos Fry Bread(looked like a new item that's not on the Yelp menu yet). It was like, an airy crispy breakfast pizza. As crispy as all good fry bread SHOULD be (eat it fast for best results) Inside is cute af and has lots of room for improvement if we can all just pour money into this humble establishment. The owner, Debra LeComb, has been through a lot of stuff and would appreciate your support. Once you're finished, head over to Nepantla and say hi to Jake and grab some amazing local / Chicano art.

Yelp
We finally made it to this sweet little place in WC. Fresh, made to order fry bread. Lovely staff. Coming back for breakfast hopefully soon!

Yelp
Absolutely geeked to find a great place for fry bread tacos near where I live in Burien! We ordered an fry bread taco, side of fry bread, kids' chicken nuggets with fruit, and white girl tacos. The fry bread taco was classic--it had a good balance of chili and other toppings, and totally hit the spot. The fry bread itself came with little ramekins of butter and jelly on the side. The bread was perfectly chewy on the edges with some crunch in the middle where its thinner. I also liked the amount of salt -- you can taste it but it truly enhances the flavor of the dough perfectly. The chicken nuggets were good, and unlike some other places, actually identifiable as quality pieces of chicken breast--my kids liked them, and asked for more when they got through the plenty that came with the order. My 6 yo also really liked the white girl tacos. She ate both in short order without any prompting or prodding (or bribing), which if you knew her, you'd know was a notable accomplishment bc it is a rare occurrence in my home with any main course, let alone one with veggies on it. I look forward to keeping Nacho Mama's in the rotation for our family take-out nights!

Yelp
FRESH HOMEMADE FRY BREAD IN WHITE CENTER!!! Wooooohooooo!!!! Delicious. Friendly. Come support this new Native-owned business, people!

Yelp
25 years ago, my daughter & I did a road trip through New Mexico to visit friends. We detoured through Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park. Spectacular, Magical! On the way out we asked if there were any tribal foods establishments... they said no and the closest restaurants were hours away. We finally found a desolate empty worst case roadside choke & puke dinner??? But they did have Indian Fry Bread... Dry on the outside, mushy inside, tasteless blah.... So when Nacho Mamas opened, my only experience with Indian Fry Bread remained in my brain... But today I wanted "breakfast" & thought... they probably have other stuff.. Deb had just opened, and on the menu I saw "Grandma Lous Fry Bread Breakfast" . It was fantastic. The fried bread was crispy and tasty, covered with sausage gravy, eggs, and potatoes. I had to order a side of fry bread with Debs homemade Wajabi ( mixed berry jam ) it was sooo good!. Now I'm a believer!! I MAY GO BACK FOR LUNCH!

Yelp
Support this small, local, Native- and woman-owned business! I tried fry bread for the first time here. So good! It's reminiscent of Portuguese malassadas (not the Hawaiian variant) but with a more bread-like texture, perfect for savory toppings. I recommend all their fry bread dishes, especially the Philly fry bread, and the lollipop chicken wings. The food can take a little while to come out, but it's worth the wait knowing the folks working the kitchen (including the owner, Debra) are preparing your meal with high quality and care.

Yelp
Amazing food, lovely service and great live music! Get the PB one for dessert you won't regret it!

Yelp
A new restaurant in white center that serves more than its name! My partner and I got the fry bread taco and beef stew. The food was delicious and everything tasted homemade. We're really happy to see this addition to that row of businesses.

Yelp
Amazing food and sweet owner. My friends and I stopped by today for a late lunch. I had the fry bread taco made vegetarian by substituting beans for the meat and chili. My friends all tried something different from the menu to share and all three agreed the cheese steak fry bread was hands down the winner! I'll be back for the great food and customer service!

Emma C.

Yelp
The cheesesteak on fry bread is outta this world. Ay que ricooooo !! Will definitely be back :)

Carrie P.

Yelp
Stopped today and had the Lollipop Wings which were delicious. So good I didn't need the sauce provided. My companion had the Native American Taco which looked darn tasty. And of course we had Fry Bread with Cinnamon and sugar for dessert! They serve breakfast too. Check out this Local eatery.

Brett M.

Yelp
Love this place. Unique options and a quaint atmosphere. I had the chorizo con huevo over fried bread while my wife had the beef stew with fry bread. Both were delicious. We will definitely be eating

Yelp
So good! Seriously- the fry bread tacos. Can't wait to try breakfast! Lovely owner. Support this place. You won't regret it.

Yelp
Amazing food and amazing customer service. Very family oriented and comfortable. We love the decor!

Yelp
Breakfast burrito was a little disappointing. I should have known when I walked in and the floor was not clean from the day before and it took about ten minutes to prepare. Assuming the demand is not high enough to warrant having the ingredients prepared and ready to go. Even when they were freshly made, they were not well seasoned and as good as anything I could have made at home. The salsa was probably the shining star but even that was not as great as I had hoped. Hopefully they can continue to get business so they can improve recipe and timing! I'll try to go back for a lunch or dinner meal to try again.

Nandini B.

Yelp
Staff was friendly and the food was great! The nacho potions were big enough to share. I really liked the fry bread.

Breanna Hitchye S.

Yelp
The food was amazing and ready fairly quick! Good homemade food and friendly service! My husband And I enjoyed this place and will be coming back soon!

Yelp
Been coming here a bunch of times for the past couple of months and always love the food!! Nachos, taco salads, fry bread, soup - all super tasty and very friendly, warm customer service!!
