We saw the sign for this as we were walking to another restaurant and knew we had to come back. I have a friend who LOVES Native American Frybread, but I'd never had it, and that changed today.
It was a quieter Friday night dinner, but we got to chat with the kind woman who runs it, so it was great. She offers breakfast all day, solid entree options, and a decent bar of beer, wine, and spirits!
So we grabbed a couple of bottles of Raindogs and the fried zucchini to start. I don't know what the breading was, but it was light and crispy and wonderful.
Then we got a breakfast bagel and the beef stew for dinner. A breakfast sandwich can sometimes be "whatever" but this was solid and overflowing with egg and fillings. I don't eat beef, so there were fewer options for me, but the broth of the stew was absolutely delicious and the perfect comfort food on a cold evening.
Finally it was time for more Frybread! Fridays are free Frybread with entree so we got a butter & jam (back to that in a second) and cinnamon sugar. This was a better, less greasy, and lighter Funnel Cake that I want all the time
Now, the jam. Oh. My. Goodness. This berry compote is homemade with strawberries, blackberries, blueberries and raspberries, and honey, and it's phenomenal. She sells it by the jar, too (one came home with me).
We'll be back for sure!
