Nagare Coffee Carnaby - Review - Soho - London - The Infatuation

"If you usually avoid the Carnaby Street area because of, say, tourists or O'Neill’s, Nagare will restore your faith in these hectic streets. It’s chic and serene, and imparts that feeling onto every person leafing through a dog-eared paperback while sipping on matcha lattes on the solid pine benches. There’s a tucked-away, quiet little room which is the unofficial book-reading nook thanks to squishy leather armchairs and dim lighting. But at the back things open up into a conservatory-like space with a big shared table that was made for aesthetically pleasing coffee catch-ups and laptop tapping. Like the original Spitalfields location, the coffee is excellent, as are the ceramics that are available to buy. photo credit: Nagare Coffee Carnaby" - Sinéad Cranna

Overall a fantastic cafe! The interior is very lovely with cute but minimal decorations. The staff are so kind and helpful. I got an iced americano and it was great! Very fruity without being bitter, has an airy and refreshing taste to it! Also got the burnt butter chocolate chip cookie (think that’s the name) and it was the absolute perfect treat! Still thinking about days later!! Definitely worth going to.

Exquisite coffee! The best coffee I have had in a long time. If you are a coffee lover this is a must go place to visit. I had an espresso. It was incredibly smooth and balanced without leaving a sour acidic taste that you may get from other coffee shops. I really loved the presentation of the coffee. I also got the Thai milk cookie which was very tasty. The service was brilliant, the staff were very friendly, welcoming and warm. I love the interior of the coffee shop as it had a very relaxing and calm feeling. I would say it was like a mix of Scandi and Japanese style. I like the natural light that made the coffee shop bright. 100% I recommend going here! Just excellent.

while the coffee here is really tasty, but the matcha is undrinkable, super bitter, I couldn’t finish it. the colour also says everything, it’s not good quality matcha. the staff couldn’t offer me an alternative, except for adding more milk or sweetener to mask the bitterness.

Absolutely amazing coffee! Love coming off peak, for a quiet coffee break. Gets mentally busy during peak hours, and rightly so. Coffee is delicious, staff is lovely and space is really cozy and relaxing. They also stick nice beans.

Taking you coffee experience to another level. If you love specialty coffee this place is a must. High level beans. Offering great pour over options as well as delicious batch brew.

They sell Curve Coffee Roasters beans. A small coffee shop in the hearth of Soho. Small doesn't mean bad. An excellent espresso machine plus good barista this is a recipe for success. On a scale 1 to 10 I'd give it solid 8 points. Well done.

I visited to try their hojicha latte and it was really good—smooth and flavorful! However, the experience was let down by the seating situation. We had requested to sit inside, but a server told us it was full since the lady in front of us would be taking the last available seat. It turned out she chose to sit outside instead, but the server never followed up with us or offered the now-available table. To add to that, another couple walked past the “Please wait to be seated” sign and were seated without any issue, which felt inconsistent and unfair. While I enjoyed the drink, the service left a bit to be desired. I’m not sure I’d return to this location and might explore others instead.
