This was a lovely experience for me. The price for non-residents/foreigners is higher. You can also save more when you do the combo deal. Cash is not accepted so if you don't have cards you can use the small gift shop to assist you in paying but they will charge a fee usually not more than 30Ksh. Enjoy learning about Kenya's history, landscape, culture and animal heritage. For those who love thrills, the snake park is also available for you to explore and carry the reptiles on your neck. Didn't do that cause I hate reptiles.

It's nice for a visit. You get to know more about the history of Kenya. From the ancient times to the mordern times. Its not big, if you are tent to read all the details, somehow you will still spend 3 to 4 hours. Or if you just wanted to browse through, you can finish it within an hour.

The museum has excellent collections, including many animal displays and a real Homo sapiens fossil. It’s a great place to learn about Kenya’s wildlife, history, and culture. Very interesting and educational for visitors.

The National Museum of Kenya has a great collection of exhibits, especially a good range of birds, animals, and human evolution displays. The service was good, and although we only had an hour, we managed to go around and see most of it. However, the displays feel quite outdated, and I sincerely hope the government can invest in improving the presentation and making the museum more interactive, especially for children. With the amount and quality of collections they have, this museum has the potential to be truly outstanding. It’s definitely worth a visit if you’re interested in natural history and culture, but it would be wonderful to see it modernized and made more engaging for younger visitors.

The Nairobi National Museum is an exciting and educational place for students. I gave it 4 stars because I really enjoyed the exhibits, the animals, and learning new things. However, I was a bit disappointed that I couldn’t touch the snake, which I was really looking forward to. Overall, it was a great experience, and I would recommend it for school trips and learning outside the classroom.

The National Museum of Kenya The National Museum of Kenya, located in Nairobi, is one of the country’s most important cultural and historical institutions. Established in 1910, the museum offers a fascinating journey through Kenya's rich heritage, showcasing everything from prehistoric fossils to contemporary art. One of the museum’s most famous exhibits is the collection of early human fossils discovered in the Great Rift Valley, including remains attributed to Homo habilis and Homo erectus. These findings have contributed significantly to our understanding of human evolution, earning Kenya the title "the cradle of mankind." In addition to its archaeological significance, the museum features galleries dedicated to ethnography, nature, art, and history. Visitors can explore Kenya’s diverse cultures, admire traditional artifacts, and learn about the country's flora and fauna. The museum also includes a snake park and botanical gardens, providing an engaging outdoor experience. Whether you’re a history enthusiast, a science lover, or simply curious about Kenyan culture, the National Museum of Kenya offers a comprehensive and inspiring

The National Museum of Kenya is a must-visit if you’re curious about the country’s rich history, culture, and biodiversity. It offers a great mix of exhibits from prehistoric fossils and ethnographic displays to contemporary Kenyan art. It’s an educational and inspiring space for both locals and visitors. Entry is now paid via eCitizen, so it’s best to come already logged into your account to avoid delays at the gate. Also, wear comfortable shoes. There's quite a bit of walking involved if you want to explore the museum fully, including the botanical garden and nature trail. While most parts are well-maintained, the snake, reptile, and fish sections could use some upgrades. The fish area was partially closed during my visit not sure if it’s under renovation or something else, but it felt a bit neglected compared to the rest of the museum. Still, the overall experience is enriching, and it’s a great way to spend a day learning about Kenya’s past and present.
