Came for an early dinner at 5.30pm. Place was empty except of a couple of tables. Ordered 4 recommendations- Steamed Half Chicken, Sambal Kangkong, Braised homemade tofu with seafood and Homemade prawn roll.
As pointed out in other posts, service was mediocre. At least 2 staff in dining area with no guests to serve, yet it was hard to get their attention. Even after getting a staff’s attention (he nodded in response), he did not come over but instead went to sit down at an empty dining table to do food preparations. We had to get another staff that was more keen to serve takeaways.
Chicken rice was fragrant and had a good firm texture. The steamed chicken was above average - fleshy, lean skin. Prawn roll was great! not too oily, had a good bite and tasty. Sambal Kangkong was nicely done - tender and balanced sambal chili. Braised homemade tofu “with seafood” was a total let down - bland, came without seafood, and with green broccoli that were yellowish.
