Unless you know where to look, excellent Indian cuisine isn’t easy to find in Southwest Austin. The good news is that Namaste Austin is one of those excellent places. One of the reasons we love this place so much is because each dish is freshly prepared to order. They have several classic dishes such as Tikka Masala, Paneer Masala, Butter Chicken, and their Garlic Naan is so good it makes you question why you don’t eat there more often. Also nice is that you chose the spice-level for all dishes, perfect for families with differing palettes. It’s worth mentioning that Namaste Austin has made special dishes for me in the past, so if they don’t have something you’re looking for, just ask. Last time I ordered Coconut Curry with Chicken and it was delicious. If you enjoy Indian cuisine, I highly recommend you try Namaste Austin next time you are around Hamilton Pool.

Google
Namaste Austin is hands-down the BEST Indian food truck in Austin! The flavors are absolutely authentic, with every dish packed full of spice and love. Their butter chicken is rich and creamy, the biryani is perfectly spiced, and the naan is fresh and fluffy every time. The staff is incredibly friendly and passionate about their food, which really shows in the quality. The location at Hamilton Pool Road is convenient, and the food truck has a charming, laid-back vibe. If you’re craving authentic Punjabi cuisine that transports you straight to North India, this is the place to be. Namaste Austin, you’ve won my heart—and my taste buds!

Talk about a diamond in the rough! Namaste is absolutely amazing! The food is delicious and incredibly authentic. They are easily one of the best Indian restaurants in all of central Texas. Wonderful staff and mouth-watering food! I encourage any and all fans of Indian food to visit Namaste. If you have never tried Indian cuisine, let the staff know and they will happily recommend dishes that suit your palate. Go lose yourself in their fantastic menu and thank me later!

Google
Location is great, so near from Dripping Springs and we don’t have much Indian food in Dripping Springs so it’s a great option. This is highly underrated place. It should be more popular. All chats are very tasty. Hidden gem for Indian street food. We ordered bhel puri and aalu tikki chaat. Liked BHEL more compared to the other one. We also ordered chhole bhature. It came with pickle and onions salad. Chhole was really scrumptious. Very delicious. The staff was very courteous and accommodating. The atmosphere is lovely with all different cuisine food trucks and nice outdoor sitting area. Many vegetarian options available. Will visit again.

Google
I wish I could give Namaste Austin more than 5 stars! As someone who has been starved for good, authentic Indian food since moving here from the Bay Area 4 years ago, I was in food heaven! We ordered Bhel Puri, Pani Puri, Papdi Chaat, garlic Naan and chicken tikka masala. Everything was super delicious. Fresh, hot and tasty! Definitely going back here. Many many times!!

Google
It's off 71 and Hamilton pool.Busy road so be very cautious in stopping and making into the parking. Food wise tasted good but quantity n pricing could be better. Package was good.green bags and good plastic packaging. If you are by that side of town can visit. This food truck spot has Thai, bluebell ice cream,Lebanese, pizza and Mexican food as well.

Google
We are local and have been a few times. The guy behind the truck works very hard and makes delicious food — some of the items are exceptional. My wife and I are from the U.K. and the quality of this food rivals what we have had in even the best restaurants in the U.K. It’s faultless and great value for money/ A must try if you are in the area!

Google
Great customer service! It's a food truck that serves Indian Cuisine but don't let that fool you, the food is great! We had the butter chicken and garlic butter naan. The butter chicken comes in a mildly spicy and slightly sweet curry sauce with Royal Basmati long rice. They offered to make the curry spicier, but we went with the mild option. The garlic butter naan was hot and fresh and there was plenty for the order. The naan was amazing dipped in the butter chicken's curry! Tldr: The quality was great, the customer service was great. 10/10 would eat again!

Yelp
I've mostly just had the appetizers/starters, and every single one I have loved! The Pani puri are light and delightful. I can't remember the names of the other things I got -- a smothered samosas thing, a thing that felt like the indian version of nachos (bhel puri?). Whatever I got, all of it was delicious. Super great mixture of flavors (yogurt, tamarind and green chutney, spices), as well as textures (crunchiest that contrast with the smooth sauces). Such a great way to get appetizers that you don't find in many Indian restaurants!

Yelp
So happy to find this place! Everything was super tasty- but beware- med heat is still pretty spicy! The somosa crust was flaky and buttery, Tikka masala, coconut chicken, and palak paneer, rice and naan all yummy! It was only a one man show for ordering and cooking- so took 25 min from order to receipt- but well worth the wait!

Yelp
Food was great and owner was super nice! I went this this place after visiting Hamilton pool and it was exactly what I need. Would go back for sure

Yelp
Fetch Food Park, on Hamilton Pool Rd, just east of RR 12. This is the coolest little dive food truck park! We only tried the Indian food at Namaste Austin's food truck this visit, but there are other trucks here as well. We aren't really familiar with Indian food, but wanted to give it a shot. So glad we did! We ordered Samosa, Paneer Butter Masala, Chicken Tikka Masala and Garlic Naan. Holy cow, it was ALL so good! Loaded with flavor, spice level was just what we asked for, and enough for leftovers. The service was quick and friendly, and it only took about 10 minutes for the food to be handed to us. Much faster than I would have thought. It was screaming hot, and still steaming when we got back to our RV park. So tasty, so satisfying. Give Namaste Austin a go. I'd recommend it to anyone!

Hampapuram R.

Yelp
Food and service were great. It was not a sit down restaurant. It was a food truck for take out orders. So ambiance does not apply.

Yelp
DELICIOUS! We always enjoy every meal. Order ahead so you don't have to wait long, as all food is prepared fresh. They are the best in the area.

Yelp
So we just moved near to Hamilton Pool, after a long day of moving, no one had energy to cook and there were 8 hungry Indian mouths to feed. Feeling sad that there are no Indian food joints nearby, we still searched and to our wonder Namaste Austin popped out in our search. This place is run by Haripal, food is north Indian style and our "dilli-wala" taste buds couldn't be happier. I ordered Dal makhni, Panner butter masala, Palak kofta, soya chaap, crispy brussels sprouts and all the garlic, butter and plain naan and gulab jamun. DalMakhni and Paneer butter masala standout. Brussels sprout is an interesting take of this place, loved it, even my mom from India liked it. Soya chap is another gem. Gulab jamun, trust me u can drive here to just have this and u will still be very happy! Palak kofta and naans are the average kind, they are still very good but above things shine way more. We plan on to visit here with family, our dog can enjoy the fetch park and we can much on some gulab jamuns and masala chai, that's our next plan. Thanks for coming to Austin and showing what good Indian food is, your love and hardwork does show up in the packaging and quality u provide. They even give u Indian mouth freshners (they so reminded us of Delhi!).

Yelp
Eh. Got my order wrong and was rather bland. But I'll give it another shot. The nan was good.

Sydnie M.

Yelp
Probably the best Indian food I've had in the Austin area. Definitely want to continue to support this place. The menu is expansive with many options beyond the classics.

Brandy M.

Yelp
The food is pretty good BUT the service is TERRIBLE!! I've been a regular customer for the past year and EVERY SINGLE TIME I order the gentlemen say 15-20 minutes & it's NEVER been ready in under 30 minutes. I just stand there in the hot or cold waiting. Last visit was yesterday...they said 15-20 minutes as usual, I waited & gave them 35 minutes & I still stood there for 15 minutes! A man came up & they handed him his order...I politely asked how long ago he called them...he said over an hour. If it happened once or twice or even now & then is one thing...it's been every time. I've definitely learned my lesson & I will never go back again. Yesterday I just asked for a refund rather than wait a total of 50 minutes but they REFUSED & the only number to call is the one they answer. So this is the only way I can report them, I really hope the owner sees this.

Yelp
Food was REALLY REALLY GOOD. It's not quick- but worth the wait. Use the time to shop at the new plant place a few steps away.

Yelp
Amazing place! Super friendly spot with good mellow vibes, wife love the chicken tika masala and service is steady and consistent

Yelp
The owner is amazing. The food is amazing. A hidden gem in Texas hill country! We'll be back :)

Yelp
A welcome Indian joint in this part of the town. Friendly service. Very pleasant and willing to go a step above to help customize per your choice. Food taste is on-par. Quality - Fresh. Will continue to hit this place.

Yelp
Shhhh. Don't tell the whole world. We were looking for something a little different than BBQ. This truck is part of a food truck micro-park just outside of Dripping Springs. We stopped en route to a local brewery. Great food. Great service. It's like a scaled down International version of Torchy's when it was still a trailer park.

Michelle B.

Yelp
Just discovered this place & its now my favorite Indian food in town. Got the palak kofta and garlic naan & they were fantastic. Can't wait to go back & try everything else on the menu:)

Ranjan S.

Yelp
Stopped and got a samosa chat on my way to an event. Damn. That was really good! Cute little international food trailer park with middle eastern, Thai, Mexican, etc.

Yelp
I love supporting small local businesses but this is a total miss. Before I get into the food, I noticed a gentleman in the truck scraping remaining curry sauce from a plastic bucket with his bare hand. I know you can use bare hands in kitchens for some applications, but this did not seem at all sanitary. As for the food, it was quite disappointing. I've eaten at almost every Indian cuisine in Austin as I'm a huge Indian food fan and this had to be the bottom of the list. The chicken tikka masala lacked flavor, it was just spice. I ordered mild but it was just spicy and the chicken had some unwanted bits left on it that should of been cleaned/cut off. The plain naan bread looked great, but was extremely thin in the middle which turned it to crisp so really only the edges were the edible part. The rice was the most disappointing. It looked like a typical uncle bens white rice, not that nice buttery rice you get at most Indian places. I'm surprised as this place has great reviews, but after visiting so many other cuisines, this was quite disappointing.

Liz B.

Yelp
The best samosa chaat! It was fresh and clearly made to order. I'll definitely be back to try more items!
google avatar

Daniel M.

Yelp
My wife and I absolutely love this place. The food is always amazing. The hospitality is incredible, they are so friendly it makes me feel like I'm hanging with friends. I tell everyone about this food truck. It is in our top 5 places to eat in the Dripping Springs / Austin area. So glad it is close to our house. If they had a sticker I would put it on my ice chest. That says a lot.

Gary G.

Yelp
Food and service excellent Loved it as it was like home cooked food High quality ingredients

Vittu J.

Yelp
food is a joke ! No spices, no seasoning , no flavor. Just keep ready made heavy cream curry and dump everything in that and charge premium restaurant price! had one of the worse chaat here! straight from cans.. to your plate and then to dustbin.. was excited when this opened but disappointed with the food quality!
google avatar

Anna T.

Yelp
The food is fantastic! We got the butter chicken, tikka masala, garlic naan, and simosas (yes i know, all of the "white people" food ) and everything was delicious. We'll be back soon.

Brett H.

Yelp
Excellent Indian food prepared by a husband and wife with a passion for the food they serve. I have had Indian food in London, Lagos, Kuwait City, Delhi, Houston and at friends houses. This is great! Get the spicy!

Shari S.

Yelp
What a pleasant surprise to find good Indian food so close to our house in Saddle Tree Ranch. Food Court off Hamilton Pool Road. We had really tasty Lamb Korma, Chicken Tiki Masala and awesome fresh Naan. Super great find on our way home!!!
google avatar

Austin Q.

Yelp
Some of the best Indian food you'll find. The Lamb Korma is incredible. We've been back several times and the quality is consistent.

Abby L.

Yelp
Called ahead to order lunch for a work team meeting. Ordered 10 different dishes and everything was freaking delicious. Can't wait to visit again and again!

Seda S.

Yelp
This place is amazing. I love coming here! I make the drive from dripping Springs at least once a week and I've always left happy and full! Butter chicken is amazing

Khairuz Z.

Yelp
Great deshi food with authentic flavour. I really like the lamb dishes. It's soft and succulent lamb pieces remind me of tasty dishes from the Himalayan subcontinent. We are glad to share our experience of this local eatery.

Brandon M.

Yelp
I went for something else but that truck was closed so I tried Namaste. I was not disappointed. The food was incredible and the owners were clearly passionate about providing a quality product. I had the Butter Chicken and Garlic Naan. I was torn between a couple choices, but after trying a sample of the Butter Chicken I knew I had to get that. Next time I'll try something else. Even the little packet at the end was unlike anything I'd had before. (I saw another commenter call it mukhwas)

Georgia M.

Yelp
I feel so lucky to have this food truck down the road from my house! This is authentic super delicious Indian food made with love. I definitely suggest asking about their specials- we had some really delicious lamb this way!

Desiree A.

Yelp
Love it! Food is authentic. I definitely recommend you to come here if you are look for home cooking. Staff is great, friendly, always gives the best recommendations. Thank you Namaste Austin!

Emma C.

Yelp
amazing to see a desi/indian food location in a town with little cultural options! butter chicken with naan is amazing as well as their somasas and they always pack their orders in reusable bags! another plus, needless to say definitely a small business everyone should try
