Must-visit Montréal restaurant. My wife and I are visiting from Florida and visited Name’s On The Way for dinner our second night in town. The restaurant is in a beautiful, clean area, and when we arrived at around 7:30 on a Saturday evening we felt as if we struck gold as it was not yet slammed.
Our waiter, Carlo, was incredibly personable and helped us pick out an excellent red wine and meal sequence for the night. My wife and I shared Jalapeño Popper, Sourdough Oysters, Spicy Honey Wings, and closed the meal with the Lemon Pound Cake. Every item we had was executed in such a unique and complementary way that helped move the meal forward. My wife and I agreed that the Poppers, Wings, and Pound Cake were of particular note.
Throughout the night, we interacted with Carlo and the GM, Dominic, and I can confidently say there’s not been many times I’ve been to a restaurant and felt so welcomed by the staff and environment. The space was incredibly comfortable and thoughtfully designed, and the entire staff (namely Carlo and Dominic) set a new standard for what hospitality looks like in a restaurant setting.
From my understanding N.O.T.W. is more known for their bar and late night scene, but it won’t be like that for long. Their dinner program is a force to be reckoned with!
