"In an area of the city filled with restaurants, seek out this atmospheric spot where the menu reads like a ‘greatest hits’ of Japanese cuisine. Gyozas, nigiri, yakitori… all will be provided by the skilled kitchen team; and while the place lives up to its name with a wide sushi selection and multiple cuts of beef cooked on the robata grill, it’s worth diverting your attention to the terrific vegetable tempura. It’s all perfect for sharing, so bring some friends and sample as much as possible." - Michelin Inspector

awesome experience, good food, really nice service. but, there is wasabi in every nigiri. we asked for nigiri without it and they still brought us some with it ☹️☹️ didn’t really apologise but they didn’t charge us for deserts that we ordered. win is a win i loved the crab and fish, and cocktails are really tasty!!

The interior is sophisticated and immersive, featuring dark wood accents, subtle Japanese influences, and a stunning large aquarium that adds a mesmerizing, tranquil vibe to the dining experience. The food is the true highlight: fresh sushi and nigiri, flavorful gyoza, yakitori skewers, tempura, and premium cuts like Wagyu beef grilled to perfection. Dishes are designed for sharing, encouraging a communal, relaxed pace.

Nami Beef & Reef delivered one of those rare evenings where everything clicks – food, service, atmosphere – and Justyna turned a great dinner into an unforgettable celebration. This was easily a benchmark experience for both hospitality and Japanese-inspired cuisine in Kraków. Service by Justyna From the first minute, Justyna was not just “our waitress”, she was the quiet director of the whole evening – present without hovering, reading the table perfectly, and always one step ahead of what was needed. She navigated the extensive menu with ease, explained dishes in a clear and engaging way, and checked in at exactly the right moments, never breaking the flow of conversation. What stood out most was how genuinely she cared: from remembering preferences, through calm, unhurried explanations, to her sense of humour that instantly put everyone at ease. She treated us less like another booking and more like personal guests in “her” restaurant, which is rare even by Michelin‑guide standards. Care for our Shiba Inu An unexpected highlight was how kindly the team – and especially Justyna – treated our Shiba Inu. Instead of the usual “you have a dog, that’s a problem” attitude, there was consideration, flexibility and real warmth, making us feel welcome as a family, not just a couple with a pet. Water, a comfortable spot and zero fuss: it sounds simple, but anyone who dines out with a dog knows how exceptional this level of effortless, dog‑friendly hospitality is. Thanks to that, we could actually focus on the food and celebration, knowing our four‑legged troublemaker was also being looked after. Food and menu guidance The menu at Nami is broad, built around sharing plates, robata‑grilled beef and a serious sushi selection, so having someone like Justyna to guide the choices made all the difference. She helped structure the meal in waves – lighter bites and sushi first, then richer robata dishes, then a sweet finish – so nothing felt heavy or repetitive. Every recommendation hit the mark: beautifully executed sushi, perfectly cooked seafood and deeply flavoured beef that genuinely justified the restaurant’s reputation and place in the Michelin Guide. Portions and pacing were spot‑on, with each plate arriving as if choreographed, giving time to enjoy every flavour without ever waiting too long. Secret birthday dessert The absolute emotional highlight was the secret dessert for my wife’s 30th birthday. Quietly coordinated by Justyna, it appeared at exactly the right moment – no awkward fanfare, just a thoughtful, beautifully plated gesture that felt intimate and personal rather than generic. In a restaurant already known for polished sweets, that extra attention transformed dessert into a memory: a small celebration on a plate, tailored to the occasion and delivered with genuine warmth. It was the perfect closing note to an already exceptional evening. Overall impression Nami Beef & Reef is, without exaggeration, one of the top spots in Kraków for anyone who values meticulous Japanese‑inspired cuisine, elegant design and a buzzing yet refined atmosphere. But for us, what will always define this visit is Justyna – her professionalism, empathy and instinct for hospitality elevated a great dinner into a truly epic night out. If you are planning a special occasion, want to be guided through the menu rather than guessing, and appreciate service that is both precise and genuinely human, asking for Justyna at Nami is the smartest decision you can make.

I was there yesterday with a couple of family members. Best meal we had in Kraków. The food was fantastic, items that stood out were the miso eggplant, octopus carpaccio, meat dishes and the lovely tequila and ananas cocktail. Although the food and atmosphere were amazing, the experience was made better by the customer service provided by Justyna who provided a classy service, very poised and helpful always checking in on us and providing support when needed. Nami are lucky to have her! Experience was remarkable thank you Nami team.

The restaurant is totally worth visiting!! The food was delicious, the ingredients fresh and well selected and the presentation was great. I especially enjoyed wild broccoli which tasted and smelled divine and dessert which I was supposed to share with my husband but inhaled myself 😅 The service is on another level! They were very attentive but without hovering, very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and restaurant in general. I really enjoyed warmed sake which was offered by one of the staff members. General atmosphere and climate gave us the perfect date we were hoping for.

We visited on a lunchtime and had the special lunch menu. We could not fault the service and the food. The atmosphere was quiet when we visited but we liked that and we were able to take our time. We had a booth near the fish tank which was exactly what we wanted, we could have stayed all day! Our waiter Simon was friendly and helpful, we would definitely visit again in future.

We absolutely loved our food and time here last night. We were fortunate to be sat in front of a fish tank which just added to the whole experience, although the seating elsewhere also looked very good. The food was amazing, we highly recommend the wild broccoli & the Iberico ribs but honestly everything we ate was top draw. We thought the price of everything was also very reasonable. 5* would definitely return next time we are in Krakow.

It's an interesting place to visit. Apart from the mesmerizing aquarium, the sushi taste is very special. The quality of the ingredients makes such a difference. I also know that the Chef Taiyo takes real care about all the details and you can really taste it ❤️ Recommended. A bit pricy though 🤷 But there is a reason behind it so 💁
