We were really disappointed with this place. After living in the neighborhood and wanting to try this place for so long, we decided to stop in. The food was not fresh and was either too bland or way too salty. Everything that you would expect to be fresh was noticeably cold and old or overcooked. We were not able to finish what we ordered due to it being inedible. On top of that, it was so expensive. Everything pictured was just below 1000 lira. You can get a much better breakfast for cheaper elsewhere.

Bought olives and marinated tomato and cheese. They vacuum sealed the box for me so I can take them on a plane. If spice market is too overwhelming for you, Namli has a good selection. I guess it's more pricey than the Grand Bazar but it still felt like a bargain to me.

As I always do, evaluate the whole experience not only the quality of food or its price. Therefore, I cannot give Namli Gurme less than 5 star rating although it was slightly busy when I went but things moved quickly. I had one of the best Turkish breakfast ever, the opportunity to choose what to eat and not forced to get lots of jam and honey was amazing. Prices are higher than average Turkish breakfast but I can accept that for the quality of the food and beauty of the place. Therefore, I definitely recommend a visit to Namli Gurme.

Namli the famous gourmet deli, brunch and breakfast place. It has its own brand of cheese and bastirma (NAM) that you can buy to go as well as seating service for excellent Turkish breakfast or lunch. It also has nuts, halawa, olives and very nice bakery. The service is fast, friendly and most of the staff can speak English. Coffee is also very good. Highly recommended

We were walking around the port area of Istanbul and saw this delicatessen plus restaurant. We walked through and its amazing. Similar to David Jones food Hall (Sydney) or Selfridges (London). Stunning local delicacies and organic foods including honeycomb, olives, sour orange jam and tomato jam. Plus a large counter of beautiful meats and cheeses. Staff were welcoming and helpful to us tourists.

Overhyped and Overpriced: A Ridiculous Gourmet Experience I don’t know what’s more disappointing—the food or the hype surrounding this so-called gourmet restaurant. The dishes were bland, lacking any real flavor, and honestly, I can’t remember the last time I had such a thick, unappetizing pide. It felt like they could have at least tried to put something creative in between the bread, but no, they just served up something completely uninspired. The service was another letdown—slow, with a level of fake sincerity that made it feel more awkward than welcoming. It’s one thing to be slow, but it’s another to act as if you’re doing me a favor with your forced politeness. At the end of the day, this place offers nothing that’s worth the price or the reputation it claims to have. I definitely won’t be returning.

fantastic spot for authentic Turkish food. We tried the dolma, and it tasted absolutely delicious—just like home-cooked meals. The variety is impressive, showcasing the essence of Turkish cuisine. Additionally, it’s a great shop to buy quality Turkish products like tea, lokum, sun-dried tomatoes, and dried fruits. A must-visit for anyone wanting to experience real Turkish flavors.
