Best Biriyani filled with flavor and good level of spice. The meat was well cooked. Loved the chicken drumsticks. Kids loved it. Will visit the place again for sure.

Google
A good south Indian restaurant in the area. It was my first time and I loved it. A proper Tamil cuisine and the flavors were bomb. We got the Mother’s Day app money and veg thalis along with govib65 and tawa fish fry. The gobi 65 was crispy not too oily and had a sour kick to it with a glaze of Chinese sauces. The tawa fry was fresh and the spicy were apt, however we felt it could have been a bit spicier to our likings. The thali was amazing. It had several money curries and biryani. Man the biryani was amazing and the fish curry was super good. It was a close resemblance to my home food and I loved it. It was a wholesome menu with desserts (chocolate mousse). All parts of the thali was flavorful, and my mouth was watering to take more bites. Very tempting and I’d definitely recommend people to try this. One of the best experience I’ve had recently with South Indian cuisine. Their ambience was cozy and their service was amicable, quick and smooth. Overall a must visit.

Fantastic South Indian food I like their cauliflower pepper fry and jeeraga samba biryani Kids usually favorite is their cauliflower-65 and I <3 their pallipalayam paneer, the naans are crispy and huuuge!! & they recommend trying just 1 pc for 2 people before ordering more. Their 'Neer moru' or the buttermilk with crushed green chilies is a must-try-drink esp on a hot sunny day.

Recently visited Namma for dinner with family and it left a strong impression with its spacious, neat interior, which is perfect for accommodating larger groups. Namma specializes in Tamil Nadu-style food, known for its bold, spicy flavors, and it certainly lived up to that reputation. For those who enjoy heat in their meals, this is a great choice. We started with the Palipalayam Paneer which was a great dish with coconut and red chillies. Baby corn was a little spicy for kids but adults enjoyed it. Paneer butter Masala had an excellent smoky flavor that really enhanced the dish. The taste was rich and satisfying. Garlic Naan was a highlight—it was cooked to perfection, soft yet slightly crisp, just as it should be, packed with garlic flavor. Cauliflower 65 was crunchy, offering a nice texture, though I felt it could have benefited from a bit more seasoning to elevate the overall flavor. Finally, the Biryanis served with gravy and raita were stars of the meal and were absolutely delicious. The spices were well-balanced, and the combination of flavors made it a standout dish. Overall, the food is flavorful, the portions are generous, and the atmosphere is perfect for group dining.

Google
Awesome traditional South Indian food for both veg and non-veg. Healthy also due to the type of rice they use. Never had such good stuffed mirchi (chilli bajji) that is both not too spicy and has a punch to it. Biryani was authentic. We tried both the veg biryani and chicken biryani. Buttermilk was also very good although I’d say they can go less on seasoning as I prefer not to have lentils when I drink. Place is spacious and nicely decorated. Parking is a breeze. Price is reasonable. Service is awesome!

After a movie, my husband and I were hungry for lunch and decided to check out Namma Restaurant in Milpitas, which looked fairly new. We were originally craving dosa, but the lunch menu focused on thalis – vegetarian, chicken, fish, and goat Virundu feasts. Dosa was only served in the evenings. I opted for the vegetarian Virundu, and my husband got the fish Virundu. My thali was overflowing with delicious vegetarian dishes, masala rice, plain rice, roti, papadam, yogurt, chutney, pickle, and more! It even included two desserts: pineapple kesari and halwa. It was almost too much food! My husband enjoyed his fish Virundu as well. We realized that the cuisine was a mix of Kerala and Tamil Nadu styles. We had a wonderful Sunday lunch at Namma. The restaurant was clean, the staff was friendly and efficient, and the food was delicious and plentiful. We didn't have to wait for a table, but it started getting busy as we were leaving. They also offer convenient electronic payment options like Apple Pay and Google Pay. If you're looking for a tasty and satisfying South Indian meal, I highly recommend giving Namma Restaurant a try. They have a great variety of dishes, including parotta and veg/non-veg curries.

We went on a Friday for lunch on the second day of the restaurant's opening day. Service: We got a very warm welcome when we entered the restaurant. We got our food within no time. The staff checked on us multiple times and our water cups were always filled. The service was excellent. Decor: This used to be Dish-Dash before, so the decor is the same. Simple and clean. Food: The restaurant was in their soft opening phase and so they did not offer an extended menu, but there were enough veg and non-veg items on the menu. I am forgetting the exact names of the items that we ate. - Chicken appetizer - with green chili and pearl onions. I loved the taste. The green chili gave it a good kick. - Paneer appetizer - with onion and bell pepper. It had a different taste compared to other restaurants. We liked it but not sure why they are offering paneer dishes because paneer is a northern Indian food item. - Egg biryani - It was spicy and nice. It was more Andhra Style, I expected Chettinad style preparation in this restaurant. The side curry that came with the biryani was really good. I could have eaten a full bowl of that curry. The raita tasted good as well. - Lamb biryani - Loved it - Lamb curry - loved it. What I would like to see changed: Chettinad food is so delicious and varied, so stick to Chettinad food, don't mix Andhra, north Indian and Chettinad food.

Yelp
Very clean restaurant We tried their lunch thali and it is wholesome. Rasam and chicken soup as part of thali was very homely. Food is not at all oily. They also have fish and chicken pickle. They served hot food. Service was decent. They keep updating on their insta and yelp and we referred insta before going . Will visit again for al carte menu

Yelp
Stopped by for Friday lunch. Tried their Fish thali. Fish was tender and yummy but Fish gravy was so sour, I felt acidity while eating it. Same story with Rasam. Never tasted so sour Rasam in my life. I am yet to try other dishes so giving the benefit of doubt to the restaurant by giving neutral 3/5 rating. Perhaps other dishes are not as sour as what I experienced. The waiter however was very nice and the ambience good. This looks like mostly a takeout place near Walmart and Big Al's. I will be back to try their biryani and give a final review.

Yelp
Okaish food, decent service, and casual ambiance. The spice level was way too high--even the "non-spicy" items were spicy, which made it tough for our kids to eat anything besides plain dosa. No kids' menu either. Sambar was good, and the gobi Manchurian was okay. Everything else was forgettable--paneer was tough, and the vada had a weird buttery aftertaste. Quick service since the place was nearly empty. Might have just been an off day, but based on our experience, I wouldn't return for dinner--especially with kids. Considering you can easily find better South Indian food elsewhere.

Yelp
Don't have any pictures (coz, I was very busy eating non-veg thali) We ended up ordering a non-veg thali which comes in a different combo (chicken/mutton/fish). I've got a mutton-fish combo. Biriyani (seeraga samba rice) Mutton curry (kulambu) Mutton chukka Fish Manchurian Prawn gravy Fish curry (kulambu) Egg thokku Rasam Soup Curd Appalam (pappadam) Chapathi White rice Chocolate mousse I really loved Biriyani, Mutton chukka, Fish curry & Egg thokku. Ambiance was good and clean. Service was good overall. Wish they had Karuppu kavuni arisi dessert instead of Chocolate mousse. Hopefully, they'll bring it back.

Yelp
Updating my review from a few months ago since I recently had an extremely disappointing dining experience here. Please don't give your business to an establishment that is so disrespectful towards its customers. We arrived just before 9:15pm for dinner on a Friday evening and were promptly seated. The restaurant wasn't crowded and there were only a few families dining at the time. There was only one person running the entire restaurant floor and it took him a little while to come take our order. We decided to share a chicken kottu paratha and a chicken dosa and while the kottu paratha was pretty delicious, the chicken dosa was a disaster in more ways than one. In the bay area, where you're surrounded by tons of great dosa options, I was genuinely surprised to be served a dosa that was so tasteless and filled with completely dried out tough chicken. Anyway, while we were only 10 minutes into our subpar meal, the square payment device and 2 to-go boxes were placed on our table without a single word from the waiter. Because it was only about 8 minutes left till closing time for the restaurant, we figured that the sole waiter managing the floor must be trying to wrap things up. Anyway, we paid within a few minutes and tried to continue with our meal. The waiter however kept pacing next to our table and made it amply clear that he wanted us to pack our leftovers and leave. As we were packing our leftovers, the waiter turned off all the restaurant lights except one. As we hurriedly left the restaurant, I looked at my watch and it was only 10:04. I eat out a lot and at most restaurants all over the country and worldwide, customers are not seated after the closing time but customers who have been seated and served are allowed to finish their meal. Even if Namma has different rules of operation, they could have easily communicated the same politely and not been so passive-aggressive and disrespectful. Needless to say, this was my last time at Namma. Fellow Yelpers, you've been warned of the service you will receive at this establishment.

Yelp
This was one of my worst restaurant experiences in the Bay Area in a long time. We arrived around 9:15pm for dinner and were promptly seated. The food turned out be mediocre at best and after having suffered through a rather disappointing dosa, the only person manning the place put his Square device to the table and placed some to-go boxes while we were still in the middle of our meal, at exactly 10pm. After the payment had been made, to our shock, without a word or prior notice, he simply turned off the lights! I derive no pleasure in saying this but this is precisely the kind of establishment I'd urge people to stay away from.

Yelp
Excellent food and service! Love that they have weekend special thali. We loved the Paliyapalam Chicken appetizer stir fried with coconut and shallots. It had mild spice which elevated the other flavors. Non-veg Thaali was truly exceptional with an eclectic mix of chicken and goat curries, sambar rice based Biryani, an omelette and Manchow soup. Chocolate Mousse was an interesting desert choice. The only downer was a single roti was included, wish there were a few considering there were lot of curries. My friend tried the Veg Thaali in which he liked the Vada. He found the curries a bit underwhelming. I enjoyed the Chikoo milkshake, reminded me of childhood. Definitely plan to visit again soon :)

Yelp
We went right before peak rush started so managed to get our food on time without waiting too long. Service was your average run of the mill Indian joint service. We ordered the South Indian veggie thali. Overall, we taste was a bit on the spicier side but not overwhelming. However, all the curries had a lot of gravy and few veggies. Apparently that's the norm since the curries are usually mixed and eaten with rice, but I would have liked more veggies. It's worth a drop in if you're in that neck of the woods

Yelp
We came here on Saturday for dinner and there was no wait for a party of 5. The restaurant is super spacious and clean. It also smelled really good in the restaurant, so it made me excited for dinner. We ordered a bunch of food. My faves were the chicken lollipops, dosas, garlic naan and butter chicken. The butter chicken was super tasty and it had a kick to it. The naan was my absolute fave. I went so good with everything that we ate. Service was great and friendly. He kept coming back to check on us and made sure our water glasses were never empty.

Yelp
Best food. Even beats dindigul thalapakatti on many dishes. Service and ambiance are also good.

Yelp
Looks like this spot took over the Dish Dash restaurant location. I wanted to try a new (South) Indian spot and decided to order to go. I used the app they had to get my order ready for when I order over the phone. I was surprised to see the $10 price difference when paying in person. I didn't question it but is usually the other way around when it comes to pricing. Overall customer service for their to-go were good and so was the time estimation of the food being ready. I ordered on a Sunday around noon and the food was ready in about 20 minutes. Though I was only inside for a few minutes to pay and pick-up the food, it looked clean and spacious. The dishes ordered were in the photo below. Majority of the dishes were a bit tangy but still tasty! My highlights would be the Andhra style chicken 65 and the parotta and chicken curry. The fish was good but felt it had too much masala. Both biriyanis were pretty solid in terms of flavor. I just wish there were more pieces. The goat one was mainly bones and the chicken biriyani could've used more pieces. I'll come back and definitely try a few other items on their menu. "High on Life. Yelp
Our first time coming to the restaurant and what better way to find out their best dishes than to have a thali and sample some of their dishes. The place is huge and very inviting! Fast service as well. We enjoyed the food a lot. We ordered a Veg mini thali and Fish mini thali. The portion sizes were more than enough even though they call it mini thali. Each thali came with rice, chapati, dal, vegetable fry(cabbage poriyal), dessert(Double-ka-meetha), Papad. Veg thali had an additional vegetable kurma and rasam. Fish thali had a fish curry. The fish had the bones in. I prefer it that way in that type of curry. The spices were just perfect. Spicy enough to enjoy the flavors but not too much that is drown down the taste. The chapati that came with the thali was super super soft! Although it had a lot of ghee, it was nice to indulge. The dessert definitely was yummy, but the amount of ghee/oil was execessive. The bread chunks were literally floating. Overall super thali! Coming back to try more of their food.

Yelp
We picked up Vijayawada Paneer Biryani and Baby Corn Manchurian from Namma for takeout and wow, what a treat! The biryani had the perfect mild spice, fragrant rice, and those crunchy cashews that made every bite delightful. Both the quality and quantity were exceptional. Thank you, Namma! The Baby Corn Manchurian stayed crispy even an hour later, just like it was freshly made. Absolutely mind-blowing taste!

Yelp
Namma Restaurant, tucked into a strip mall (yes, there's actual parking - score!), is spacious and bright once you step inside. We were seated quickly, table nicely set and ready for action. Now, the menu - it's an adventure into Tamilian cuisine! A little heads-up: if you're not from Tamil Nadu (like me!), you might find yourself playing 'Guess That Dish.' A few more descriptions next to each dish would be super helpful, or just be brave and ask your server to be your culinary guide! Our chicken and mutton, appetizers arrived promptly, which was great. Though, they were delivered with an air of delicious mystery - a quick 'this is X and this is Y' would've been appreciated, so we knew what delights we were about to devour! Portions are generous, definitely enough for two to share. The star of our show was the Nei (Ghee) Dosa - perfectly crispy and served with some seriously tasty chutney and Sambar. Yum! After we'd polished off our mains, things got a bit interesting. A server did a partial plate-clearing magic trick, making some disappear while others remained, perhaps as mementos of our meal? We eventually flagged down a friendly busser to fully clear the decks so we could contemplate dessert, Madurai delicacy - Jigarthanda. It's these little service touches that can really take a meal from 'good' to 'wow, we HAVE to come back and bring everyone we know!' Oh, and a shout-out to the unique, house-made mouth freshener by the exit! Another delicious mystery - we'd love to know what's in it! Bottom line: The food here is genuinely delicious, with unique Tamilian dishes you won't find everywhere. Definitely give it a try, maybe ask lots of questions, and enjoy the tasty ride!

Yelp
Service was good but food and Ambience is ok. Kothu paratha - was quite mushy. Kheer - felt like drinking jaggery water Chicken tikka masala - was sweet, tangy but ok. Would I go out of my way for this place - No.

Yelp
I was super excited to try this place since it had great reviews and the menu looked pretty good. You know the food is good when the menu has some complicated names you can't even pronounce. I'm always on the look out for a good Indian food and I wasn't disappointed. It was spicyyy, let me tell you that much. And the good kind of spicy. The vegetarian biryani I ordered was good but it had some sweetness to it which I wasn't a fan of. We ordered the garlic and chilly soup which cleared all my sinuses lol It was delicious but they warn you, it's spicy! I really enjoyed it. And we also got the chicken fry (had a fancy name, can't remember it now) with coconut pieces, it tasted crisp and delicious. Very flavorful. Overall, I wanna go again so I can try everything in the menu haha They had a lot of seating even at the back, they closed few out cuz we went pretty late. The ambiance is pretty decent. Service was a bit slow but the staff was friendly, they told you about exactly how spicy each dish is and made some good suggestions.

Yelp
Want to give a 3.5 rating. I wasn't very impressed with the veg dishes. Ordered stuffed mirchi bajji which was okay ( too many raw onions stuffed inside) . Then got methi chamman with naan. The curry was apparently made with koya and cream. It was on the sweeter side and I didn't like it. Naan on the other hand was exceptional. But husband ordered chicken kothu parrota which came with a side of dalcha and that looked amazing. He loved the dish and dalcha as well. Might come back for non vegetarian dishes alone. Service was quick and ambiance was quite nice. Lots of parking available.

Yelp
Large restaurant, great ambiance, clean setup and quick service. This is a South Indian restaurant specializing specifically in cuisine from Tamil Nadu. Dishes are fiery with an extensive use of varied spices. We got- Namma veetu chicken biryani-4.5/5- this was like a warm hug in a bowl. Rice was moist and not too dry, use of spices was perfect without any single spice overpowering the rest. It was delicious. Chicken was soft and well cooked. Palapalayam chicken- (4/5)- named after a village in Tamil Nadu. It's pan fried chicken with bits of coconut. It was interesting to eat chicken with coconut in that form. Coconut was not overpowering and tasted harmonious with the chicken. Naatu kozhi milagu charu-3.5/5: this was in the soup menu. It's a fiery bowl of chicken soup with a thin base and liberal use of pepper. It's not like regular soup, we typically have it with rice. Chicken kothu paratha -3/5: this was in their daily special menu. It's essentially bits of paratha stir fried with some spices, veggies and proteins. It was just heavy and was difficult to eat more than a few spoons.

Yelp
Taking a star off for the virundhu thali they serve over the weekend, priced at 23$ while an average South Indian restaurant charges about 18$ .. their curries are average which is ok, but their rice quantity won't even suffice a baby.. the rice is deceptively hollow and serves about 3 teaspoons of rice

Yelp
The food here is amazing, really enjoyed the authentic Veetu biryani and pacha milaga. Amazing taste on Pacha Milaga Chinna vengayam kozhi varuval (Green chilli with shallots fried chicken), a must try non-veg appetizer. The quality of the food is very good and enjoyed the food taste here. They serve in good quantity as well, a appetizer and main course should be good for two people. The service is quick and ask the waiter for day specials and best dishes. The experience of trying Elaneer Payasam was good taste feeling. Recommend this place for sure. Will try to come this place again for sure to try other dishes.

Yelp
Gosh, the food here is simply fantastic!!! We tried a whole bunch of stuff and everything was perfect and just so delicious. We tried Pallipalayam Paneer for the first time - it was very spicy & tangy and I absolutely loved it. For main course, we ordered Garlic naan, Fire chilli naan, Methi chamman & Veg Kothu parotta all of which were amazing! The naans were huge and methi chamman was a creamy, dreamy side dish that we devoured. Kothu parotta was perfectly spiced and soft with raitha & salna as accompaniments. The service too was just as good as the food if not better! Overall, it was such a great dining experience that I'd love to come back to.

Yelp
Delicious food , big portions , lovely golden thali presented in upscale trendy Indian ambience. Special mention to fresh, made to order garlic naans right from the oven, that had a huge heaping of flavorful roasted garlic pieces on it. Paired beautifully with butter chicken . GOAT biryani was enough for 2. Non veg thali had mutton soup that was delicious . Fried egg and numerous little portions of curries like a full tasting menu. Even had fruit custard dessert to close. The veg corn soup was also full of flavor. They ran out of mango lassi though. Service was quick. I'm taking 2 stars off because the menu was given to only men at the table . Me and the kids and their grandmother completely ignored. I get that this is part of generationally ingrained patriarchy .. but not tolerating that in this time and age , with 2 little girls of my own.
google avatar

Yelp
Biryani's texture wasn't what I expected though it's a good portion. Soup and Omelette are good and delicious. Also the soup has much meat for its price. I'll go back and try goat biryani or another sort later and if course matching with the same soup.

Yelp
Have been here twice so far now. The food is tasty and the service is prompt. Really loved the naan, it was so soft and not too bread-y or thick. The sweet lime soda is such a nostalgic drink,Love it here.! Have tried the palak paneer, some chicken curry and chicken lollipop and everything we have tried so far was delicious

Yelp
We stumbled upon this place yesterday, and noticed they were open for dinner at 6pm so decided to try. The place is spacious, lots of seating and very well kept. The place was empty but had several food pickups. The women's restroom was not stocked. The food : Baby corn masala : 3 not bad but nothing special, wouldn't order again. Portion size was good. . Pallipalayam chicken :4 , this one was good and had all the right flavors. Definitely worth a try. Nammaveetu chicken Biriyani 3 . Wouldn't try next time. I was not a fan of the rice, the chicken pieces lacked flavor. Portion size was good. Raita was different but excellent. Lime soda: 3 not the best and wouldn't order again. Service was good, appetizers came in quick and although they said the Biriyani wait time was 30 minutes it came in under 20. Overall I'd give this place 3 star. Wouldn't go out of my way to dine here, but if you're in the area and want to try out South Indian food this place is an option.

Yelp
A new restaurant on the block; quite a bold move opening pretty close to Thalapakati (Biryani Chain). I tried Namma Veetu Veg Biryani and Babycorn 65. The Namma Veetu Veg Biryani lives up to its name; it's homely, mild, and packed with veggies, paneer, and soya. The taste of coconut milk stands out, balancing out the spices. The Eggplant Salna served alongside is a unique, tangy delight that perfectly complements the biryani. I wish they offered more of it given its proportion and mild spice levels. While the Babycorn 65 is flavorful, it's a tad too salty for my liking. Would love to come back for dine-in and try more dishes. 4/5 for now to see if they maintain consistency and keep up the quality. They don't take phone/online orders; takeout orders must be placed in person, which is inconvenient. However, as they're new, they're offering a generous 50% soft opening discount, making it very affordable. They were super quick in bringing out my order tho. Hopefully, they'll introduce phone/online ordering soon and enable DoorDash as well.

Yelp
Great service , good vegetarian options & good ambience The garlic naan and masala dosa were very good and you could taste the smell of sesame oil in the dosa

Yelp
Authentic South Indian gem in Milpitas! The Jeeraga Samba Biryani, Pallipalayam Chicken, and Cauliflower Pepper Fry are outstanding. Spacious, clean, and family-friendly with attentive service. Spice levels run bold--just ask to adjust. Feels like home-style cooking with a polished touch! The Thali is wholesome and authentic, while the Chennai-style Chicken 65 is crispy, spicy, and packed with flavor. Spacious seating, great service, and true home-style taste in Milpitas!

Yelp
I have been here several times in the last few months and the food is delicious every single time. My recommendation is the shrimp starter. The masala is very unique and it is crispy. The payasam is a warm hug in a bowl. Both the items are a must have.

Yelp
Had a great family dinner here after curious about this new joint. It is a clean restaurant , simple decor and service staff is great. Our server explain some of the menu that were curious about and also recommended dishes to try. We stuck on our list and didn't regret. We ordered the cauliflower 65, chicken curry with bones, boat biryani with th bones and some naan bread. Food came is quickly , warm and delicious. For drinks , ordered strawberry lassi and yogurt drink. For dessert we had the falooda , elaneer payasam, sweet coconut milk dessert, and jigarthanda, a mango falooda with caramel. We all shared and tasted 3 dessert, and they are so good and perfect for a warm weather and to end our meal. We definitely come back and try more what's on the menu. Restaurant is highly recommended

Yelp
We ordered Palipalayam chicken app and Namma Ventu chicken curry with garlic Naan and Parotta. Food was good, service was quick at 6:30pm on Friday. Ambience is good. One suggestion to owners is to add English description to the menu. It is impossible to order for non-native folks to understand the menu and order without googling every word on the menu or asking the server.

Yelp
Solid Indian food. Attentive customer service. Clean inside. Tried their butter chicken and chicken lollipops today. Butter chicken is a dish that I order at least once at every Indian restaurant I visit as it's my favorite Indian dish. The butter chicken here was very fragrant and flavorful. Their version was solid and I wouldn't mind ordering it again. Their naan was appealing visually and tasty as well. Their chicken lollipops were good. Let's start with consistency. It was perfectly fried. I don't like my fried chicken wet. I prefer it dry and crunchy and they met that criteria. The appearance of the chicken was appetizing and nicely plated with vegetables. For those of you who are less adventurous and used to American fried chicken, the spices in this dish might be slightly overwhelming for you, but I didn't have an issue. I found it to be fragrant and delicious. I'm hoping this new business gets more notice from the community. This is a solid restaurant. Show this place some love everyone and give it a try.

Yelp
Ambiance: Neat place. What I most like here is the utensils that they serve the food in. They give a traditional touch Service: Friendly staff Food: Definitely delicious, there mutton (goat) items are a hit. The meat is so tender and great flavors are well infused.

Yelp
Loved the new flavors. Methi was sweet as expected, but really flavorful and rich. The gobi pepper was super spicy and delicious. Veetu kurma was just ok, may not reorder, have had better kurma. Rest was 10/10, highly recommend!

Yelp
We tried the food with the 50% discount offer they had going on during their opening week. We ordered the following for dine in: Gobi 65- 5/5 Veg Biriyani 3/5, tasted more like a pulao Egg Biriyani 4/5, tasted more like what you would expect from a biriyani but could go up a lot more flavor and spices. They charged $2.99 for extra raita, which I thought was a lot for a small bowl of raita with just yogurt and onions. For the 50% off price the experience was good, not sure if I would go back here with the full prices given the several Biriyani players in town.

Yelp
What could improve? Food - Service - Ambience And above all; A. T. T. I. T. U. D. E! In Tamil, "Namma Restaurant" would translate to "Our Restaurant". But after the horrendous experience we had on 01/12/2025; the 14 of us who went can unequivocally say that this is definitely NOT namma restaurant anymore. We were there at 1pm on a Sunday. Took 15mins to seat us in 3 tables. The person taking our order straightbatted the order that "No drinks/desserts. Only cans!" (On a Sunday afternoon at lunch! Wow) then we were told the Dum Biryani was done. Kids were informed that they can't get 4 parottas and Butter Chicken separately; we had to order 2 plates of parrottas which come with chicken curry and then buy Butter Chicken for the kids. Ironically when this was brought out; the food runner brought us 4 parottas in one plate; 2 chicken curries in 1 bowl and 1 butter chicken in a separate bowl. This came for the kids around 1:35pm. Then we got a couple of the normal Biryanis and by 2:30pm we still hadn't received the Virundhu (basically the Thaali) with rice and Fish currys and Chicken Virundhu with chicken curry. We had informed a few times in the waiting period but still nothing... finally our patience wore out as we started seeing that other tables had been served the virundhu platters while we were abandoned. When we got up to leave, and cancelled the orders & were paying upfront for the food that we did receive, the attitude was callous to say the least! It's not like Milpitas does not have other options! We're happily taking our business elsewhere and anywhere else but here!

Yelp
New Indian restaurent in Milpitas. It's a soft opening and they have new menu everyday. Everything we tried was spiced right. The service and the ambiance was very nice. The naan was HUGE and was the highlight of the meal.

Yelp
Not a great experience! Clean restaurant and bathroom. Good music and ambience. BUT Portion sizes were extremely small, not steaming hot and service was not impressive even though the restaurant was barely half full when we were there. But all this could've been overlooked if the taste was outstanding. It was barely there. Chef needs to taste test for basic salt levels! Let alone the spices and heat and other condiments that needs to be added to the non-veg items to bring it to the desired elevated level of taste. We ordered the non veg thali and it was just blah!! Including the humble rasam! For having started a South Indian restaurant bang opposite 'Thalapakatti' , one would think it has got to be the confidence to match or surpass 'Thalapakatti's' standards, but it was no where even close! Very disappointed.

Yelp
We don't write many reviews but for the ones that are extremely good. This is one good authentic South Indian non veg restaurant. Food is quality tasty and with appropriate quantity and a bang for your bucks. Great service as well. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Really good food. We had the gobi 65 and chicken pepper masala with parotta. Chicken was just the correct level of spice. We loved and would definitely go there again!

Yelp
3.5 stars, rounding down to 4. - Service: As someone else has said, their service is, well, almost non-existent. They're not rude; but it's almost as if they've never heard of the concept "customer service". - Food: I ordered the tikka masala and some naan(s). Naans were good, and the tikka masala flavor was pretty good as well. The only thing that threw me off was that they give you huge chunks of chicken. Think bite-sized multiplied by a factor of 3-5. The chicken itself was cooked alright, 6.5 out of 10.
