Nammos Estiatorio

"Escape to Greece via Nammos Estiatorio, where white-washed walls, bare wood tables and loads of blue set a lovely, laidback tone. Greek fare may be plentiful in Vancouver, but the menu at Nammos is impossible to resist. Seafood figures prominently along with many influences from the Aegean and Mediterranean seas.Begin with the sardines, house-cured and served with taramosalata and carob bread, then tuck in to the dolmathes, those classic grape vine leaves wrapped around well-seasoned rice. Traditional dishes reign here, and avgolemono, with its lemony broth bobbing with braised chicken and orzo, warms you on the coldest nights. Finish with bougatsa, a round of beautifully fried phyllo layered with a luscious warm semolina custard." - Michelin Inspector

Even though it’s a Michelin star restaurant, it’s humble and cozy without attitude. The drinks were well made - loved their cocktails and rhubarb soda. We had the grilled octopus - tender and flavourful! The lamb shoulder was tender and juicy! Beef souvelaki was also impressive. The entire feast was about $140 for 3. It’s exceptional quality food and budget-friendly prices; it’s a local gem!

The menus are simple. The dishes are prepared to be shared. They said it would be enough for 1-2 people, but the dishes are not as filling as the appetizers. The design of the place is nice. I recommend making a reservation. The prices are a bit high.

Google
Octopus was overcooked, kind not worth ordering. Happy hour ends at 5pm- beer and wine, and selective food items at a lower price Got fries(looks like old oil? They came out hella dark) Chicken pita wrap (not bad but not the best) Calamari ( good, hard to mess that up :P) Greek salad- $25 very expensive- but fresh and tasty.

I had a great experience at Nammos Estiatorio. We were promptly seated and offered still or sparkling water which was a nice touch not to have to pay extra for! It was a Monday night so not busy but the restaurant was probably half full. We started off with the taramoslata house dip with pita bread and it was fantastic. Creamy and super smooth. Then we had the anchovies on a piece of bread with some sauces and it was just really good. These first two items are definitely a stand out for us. Then we shared the rigatoni which came in a beautiful smooth rose sauce. And we added the side broccolini which was quite good. All in all we had a great experience and the food was terrific. We’ve been here many times before and it never disappoints.

Last month, my fiancé and I had the pleasure of dining at this establishment while we were in the vicinity of Fraser Street. It had been on our list of places to try, and we were certainly not disappointed with the food. Since we were there for lunch, we opted to order a moderate amount of food. We selected the hummus house spread, the kalamari, and the Arni Psito. The hummus was delicious, boasting a creamy texture and perfectly balanced seasoning. We found the portion size of the Kalamari to be appropriate for two people, although the dish itself was not particularly outstanding, it was still enjoyable. The lamb shoulder dish, accompanied by mashed potatoes and broccolini, was absolutely delectable. My fiancé and I both agreed that we had never tasted mashed potatoes quite like those, as they possessed a savory flavor with a subtle hint of sweetness that perfectly complemented the meal. The lamb shoulder was incredibly tender and paired wonderfully with the other components of the dish. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed the meal and would certainly consider returning to sample other dishes. While we did not order any beverages this time, we would be open to trying them if we were to dine there for dinner in the future.

Small plates and mezze was great. Salads were amazing and refreshing Moussaka was great but the sauce was too sweet for me. Lamb shoulder was a bit dry. Octopus was overcooked. Dessert was great. Great atmosphere 4/5 overall.

Celebrated a birthday here with two of my girlfriends and it was such a hit from start to finish! We kicked things off with the Saganaki was gooey, melty cheese that hits the table still sizzling. The Kalamari was light and airy with the perfect bite. The beef Souvlaki was tender and full of flavour. And the patates fournou (lemon roasted potatoes) were melt in your mouth soft, perfectly tangy, and buttery in the best way. Great vibes, friendly service, and plates you’ll be dreaming about for days. Can’t wait to come back!

This is a Michelin star restaurant. I expected everything to be perfect, and of course, it was. I wasn't fond of the potatoes. They had a mustard taste to them. The waiter took them off our bill before we could even ask. He recommended a glass of wine for me, and it was on point. We tried three dips. The smoky eggplant was fantastic. Spicy feta may become a staple at my house. The fish row is not impressive. The olive on top was great. The little triangles of rosemary pita could send me in the carb overload. The chicken and the beef and the skewers fabulous. The broccolini was cooked perfectly. I'm glad I don't live near here. I'd be there every day. Oh, and the dessert, it's like they took baklava to a new level. The bartender looked as if he truly enjoyed his job.

Yelp
came here for a pre wedding dinner and while the food was great, it took forever to get each dish in the preset meal. there were like 7 veggies dishes before we finally got a meat dish and although the lamb and chicken were delicious, it wasn't worth such a long wait. service was good, they were attentive and explained each dish as they brought it out. we had a lot of leftovers but it felt like it was bc we were being served nonstop appetizers before a main course. I think I'd go again just to try their regular menu. food was amazing but the party preset option wasn't ideal.

Yelp
We made a reservation here for 2 people and it was quite busy on a sunday night. I loved the lighting, the setting and in general the ambiance of the place, very calming and high end feel without being too much. We ordered a few dishes including the kalamari, trio dip, oktapodi, and paidakia, many of these based on the recommendation by one of the waiters. We also got served olives which we didn't order, so we thought it was complimentary but we ended up getting charged for it. Despite that, everything that we ordered were excellent! The oktapodi was such a simple dish but one of my favorites. The octopus was cooked to perfection with simple olive oil and pickled onion. The paidakia also surprised me, I've never had lamb that tender and flavorful, every bite was a juicy goodness. Our dip came with the tirokafteri (spicy feta), melitzanosalata (eggplant), and taramosalata (smoked fish?) and our lamb came with the tzatziki so we got to try everything. I especially loved the melitzanosalata and the taramosalata. The eggplant was so fresh on the warm bread and the fish dip was so rich, decadent and smooth. Overall, it was a really great experience but on the pricier side. Our bill came out to be over $140, which I felt was expensive considering the amount of food we got.

Yelp
Grab a friend or a loved one and share Nammos' delicious Greek dishes together! For 2 people, I recommend the Tzadziki (comes with warm pita bread), the olive appetizer, and the lamb and beef meatballs. Adjust depending on your hunger level, maybe add another dish or two. The space and service is inviting and warm. I love it here!

Yelp
Have dined here twice recently and would average both visits as a 3.5 star rating. My first visit was great, but the second time I ate here, the food was very salty across multiple dishes. Favorites include: + Calamari + Lamb chops + Spanakopita Lemon potatoes were veryyyy salty when I tried them, but our waitress was kind enough to get us a new order. Ambiance is great for a date night or dinner with friends!

Yelp
Met a group of friends for dinner. Interior of the restaurant was pretty & intimate. Decor was nice too. The staff were friendly & made good suggestions when we couldn't decide what we wanted. Since there was a group, they suggested that we do a group sharing plate for $68 pp. Great recommendation, there was so much food, several appetizers, the grilled octopus was so tender, got gobbled up pretty quickly. There was the fried cheese, unlimited amount of flat breads to go with your meal... baked fish... lamb chops, chicken, kebabs... it goes on & on. Yes... all of us had doggy bag as there was so much food. And YES... there was also dessert, some kind of donut drizzled with Nutella sauce. Basically it was a taste bud explosion on all the dishes.

Yelp
Good service and lively ambiance (could be too noisy for some), but wine really on the expensive side would pick Apollonia or Minerva over it unless you really care for a trendier crowd.

Yelp
I lived in Greece for 4 years! And I can say every dish I ate here tasted just like it did in Greece. I ate everything right up. It was so delicious !! fresh, flavorful and good quality food worth my money. Haven't eaten at a restaurant this good in a long time! The inside of the restaurant is also very cute! Loved the music, the decor, it was cozy and quite romantic for my husband and I. Everyone was kind and welcoming. Would recommend this place for sure!

Yelp
Visited for dinner with a few friends and overall the food was authentic and delicious. We ordered calamari, a chicken and beef souvlaki, lemon roasted potatoes, a couple of lamp chops and the Moussaka to share. The lemon roasted potatoes were a tad too sour and lacked flavour when compared to lemon potatoes we had previously, and we found the portions a bit small for the price. Would definitely recommend the Rooibos Tea Lemonade to drink and the moussaka, which tasted fresh and packed with flavour. The lamp chops were delicious too however again, the portion was small for the price.

Yelp
thank you to Nammos for making my 5yr anniversary so special! The manager came by and gave us complimentary shots. The space was so beautiful & cozy, yet full of Greek flair. The food was great, my bf loved the sardines & the doughnuts were such a yummy sweet treat! Highly recommend coming here

Yelp
We were walking down Fraser street looking for somewhere to have lunch and delighted to find Nammos Estiatorio! We had to try the Michelin mentioned dish sardines, house-cured and served with taramosalta and carob bread. The Oktapodi was my favourite! The chicken souvlaki was so flavourful and tender. Glad we found Nammos Estiarorio!
google avatar

Yelp
Love the chicken souvlaki. The meat was tender and well marinated. You order by skewer which is awesome because it is a good add-on. Comes with a side of bulgur salad as well as tzatziki sauce. It is not as garlicky as other Greek restaurant so for those who prefer a milder taste, this might be the one for you. I also had the octopus. It is not an entree size but deeply satisfying. The bougatsa was oven baked to order. Large portion and great for sharing.

Yelp
We are frequent repeat customers at Nammos however tonight was a fail. We ordered right away when I sat down fava/pita, dolmathes, greek salad and beef/chicken souvlaki. The fava/dolmathes came right away and was delicious. Then nothing......we waited and waited and waited someone came to take away some of our empty dishes. I finally asked a server if they could check on our food. They said the souvlaki will be out in 10 minutes, something about their system down. I said what about the Greek salad? she said I'll check. She comes back it will be out in a minute. OK....we wait and wait and wait and still nothing far past a minute. I flagged our server and said we'd like our bill we are really disappointed and just want to go home. She said it's going to come out in a minute and then leaves. We wait and wait...she comes back with our bill for $37.80 and says the reason it took long is because I staggered the order. No apology, no let me get the manager for you. So we left hungry and disappointed. Sadly we will not be your repeat customers anymore. It's too bad as the food is good but the service is not.

Yelp
Ambiance: 4/5 Service: 5/5 Food: 4/5 Overall: 4/5 My friend and I came here on a Tuesday night - we had made reservations even though we weren't sure how busy it would be but we're glad we did since it was packed! Our waiter came and explained the specials promptly and took our order. Since it's a tapas-style place we started with 1 appy (the eggplant dip) and 2 mains (spanakopita and chicken skewer). Their menu is nicely laid out to separate out the veg dishes as well which is nice, and there's lots of vegetarian options! The food came quickly which was awesome, and the portion size was bigger than expected! They're no typical huge Greek food portions but for a tapas-style plate there was lots to be full on. We were stuffed with just those 3 dishes. The food was delicious and the eggplant dip is a must try! As for ambiance, today was the first day that they were playing live jazz music which was a fun twist but slightly loud since the space is quite small. Other than that the restaurant has good sized tables for share plates and is nicely lit (dim but not TOO dim) Our server was also really attentive throughout the night, coming to check on how we were doing and filling our waters. Overall, I'm a fan of this spot! There's not a ton of tapas-style places in Vancouver so I'm glad to have come across a good one! I'd love to come back with a bigger group to try more of the dishes!

Yelp
Unfortunately, I've not been here outside of their lunch hours, but when I go by it's always full, lively and busy in the evening. At lunch though, the food is always good, fresh and prompt. Their service is always attentive and friendly.

Yelp
Absolutely stellar experience at this Greek restaurant! From the warm and inviting ambiance to the mouthwatering cuisine, every aspect exceeded expectations. The authenticity of flavors transported me to the Mediterranean with each bite. The staff were incredibly attentive and knowledgeable, making dining here a delight. I can't recommend this place enough for anyone craving top-notch Greek cuisine. Five stars all the way!

Yelp
Nammos is one of the few solid Greek restaurants in town. The food selection is good, authentic and tasty. It's a nice place to go to have a nice lunch or dinner with a friend or date as it's cozy, quiet and intimate. If you go during non-peak times it is usually not very busy. I recommend trying it if you are looking for Greek food and in the area.

Yelp
The service in this little eatery was quick and the staff very friendly! I went for a happy hour and the dips and drink specials are a deal. I tried the fava bean dip and it was excellent, with tasty smoked pita on the side!

Yelp
First time trying a authentic greek meal and would love to come back! The waitress was so sweet and helpful. Plus the food was delicious to eat!

Yelp
I absolutely love the food here. The Bougatsa is my favorite dessert in town, sometimes I order for pick up. Other times the chef has let me take home unbaked Bougatsa along with a small container of the sugar and cinnamon topping. The service is great, and always very friendly. I enjoy the portion sizes, not too big and not too small. The Greek salad is an absolute fav. Another great dish is the chicken, rice, and lemon soup. I've been here many times and will continue coming back. Me, my family, and my friends all highly recommend this place!

D D.

Yelp
I've dined here twice and in my opinion this restaurant should have between 4.5 and 5 stars. Some items are way better value and some are small and fancy, but unlike many places, I've found the servers here are very helpful in navigating the menu to get what you are looking for. The vegetarian moussaka is very filling and delicious. For 22 bucks in the year 2023 with inflation and everything I am honestly surprised; best value item on the menu for sure. Pair it with any appy and you should be stuffed. If you aren't then I think you need to take a look in the mirror. The server did make a mistake on our bill but corrected it. They also comped my mom's dessert cause it was her birthday. The dolmathes are definitely the worst value option but I always get them anyway because they are that good. Someone posted in a review here that they tasted canned. Either they changed the recipe or that person had mental issues because only an idiot would think these things came out of a can. They are incredible. 14 bucks for 4 is a rip off but try one and tell me you can resist the temptation lol. The salad was so fresh...the dips were amazing, the pita warm and delicious. I can't say anything bad about this place other than that initial bill mistake, but mistakes happen and they made it right, so all is well!

Yelp
We went to Nammos for the first time tonight, having an early celebration of my birthday and CNY. We were promptly seated, server greeted us and explained how their dishes work (family style sharing dishes). Since we have 7 adults, and didn't want to think of what to order, so we opted for the YaYas menu, which is their chef designed menu from start to finish for $60 per person. It first came with pita with several kinds of dip, Greek salad, calamari. All the appies tasted good, nothing to complain about. We weren't huge fans of the dolmathes, potatoes and sea bream. I find the dolmathes was a bit too acidic and rice is too soft and mushy. They gave us potatoes and fries, and with all the pita bread before, it's just way too much starch. The sea bream was unfortunately so over cooked and pretty tasteless. On the other hand, calamari with beet sauce was very tasty, the chicken & beef souvlaki is very juicy and flavorful. My favourite is their moussaka, the layers of eggplant & zucchini, ground beef, mashed potato and bechamel sauce tastes heavenly, it's crispy, creamy and wonderful. As for dessert, we unfortunately had to wait for a really long time. Our party had two toddlers and a baby, so I felt really bad keeping them for such a long time. The server offered the kids ice cream, so at least could keep the kids happy. Our dessert finally came, it was honey donuts and bougatsa. They tasted fine, just wished the wait wasn't that long. The server was very apologetic, and waived our bottle of red wine. Overall it was a delicious and pleasant experience, I would go back again.

Paul B.

Yelp
Wow. Our group of 4 decided to try this place based on the reviews. It did not disappoint. We agreed together that this was the best Greek food any of us has eaten. The appetizers we're delicious and the main courses were fantastic. Moussaka, Halibut, Souvlaki and lemon roasted potatoes were all exceptional. The flavors were deep but not overpowering. We went with the recommendation of sharing plates. Highly recommend having the Ekmek for dessert. Friendly service and great food. What more can you ask for.
google avatar

Ceci L.

Yelp
I really liked the ambiance at this tapas-style restaurant. Not sure if I'd go back to another tapas-style Greek restaurant though. The portions are pretty small for what you're paying. Also not a fan of my red wine coming in a rocks glass, they need to invest in actual wine glasses. I enjoyed the oktapodi (grilled octopus in vinegar). The arni psito (lamb shoulder with lemon potatoes and fresh herbs) was delicious. The meat was perfectly cooked and fell off the bone. The keftedes (house made meatballs were really dry and bland and not worth $14.

Yelp
Really cute restaurant. Great service. The owner even came by to chat and check on us. Tapas style items. We shared: Halloumi salad (very tasty, had flavoured popcorn in it and dried apple -so unique) Octopus - my favourite. Chewy inside and crispy outside. Perfectly done Roasted potatoes- yummy but lots of oil Veggie Moussaka: layers of veggies and cheese baked in a casserole dish. Gewy and yummy. Very rich in flavour. Melts in your mouth.

Yelp
Nammos Estiatorio is an excellent Greek dining experience on Fraser in Vancouver. It's an excellent date night option as it is super romantic at night. The eggplant dish was so good I wanted to eat all of it. It was super fresh and delicious. It wasn't too salty and all the flavors were just right. The risotto was one of the best ones I've had in Vancouver! Sorry, no picture because I really just wanted to eat it all. Again, all of the flavors were amazing and I finished all of it. I usually don't and share a portion but I managed to eat everything here that night! Worth checking it out. Customer service is great! Washrooms are clean. I'd come again.

Yelp
Last week I was dropping something off at a real estate office. It was a gift for a buddy of mine who had lost his dog. It was a card and a stuffed animal just to make him feel better. I noticed a restaurant across the street named Nammos and I went over there to check it out and it looked great plus they had a decent size patio and the days of Covid that's pretty important I booked a reservation and a few nights ago my gal and I went there and had an absolutely fabulous meal. Everything was great I would say that if one thing wasn't top-notch would've been the calamari but other than that it was a fabulous Meal and would highly recommend it

Yelp
Amazing service and authentic Greek food. The moussaka is to die for. Service is off the charts. Drink menu is extensive and good.
google avatar

Sarah P.

Yelp
So unfortunate . One of our closest places to our home tonight just did not deliver food at prices that were worthy. The servicer was great the food lacked flavor. One example was octopus. In eArlier visits it was grilled and melt in your mouth amazing. Tonight it was chopped into little pieces and served on a bland mound of mushed chick peas. Seriously bad. On menu was $18. It was an appy size. Bill arrives and it was $22!!! Seriously for bad food? I think the greek chef may have left the building. With so many options I'm sad this one in no longer in our rotation.

Yelp
Ive been planning to visit this place long time ago,but since pandemic placed a lot of restrictions in ourlives it took a while for me to try this Greek place. There's patio area that seats few clients, thats a plus sign,i love places with outside seats where you can enjoy the good weather. From the entrance to the dining to the washroom its all unremarkable....Good job. Service is excellent and i admired the place for taking covid 19 protcol with all the customer. The interior design is very nice it feels like i am dining in Greece. Large TV monitor, a whie and blue decors with large mirrors on wall, very clean place, roughly can accomodate morethan 30 guests. by the entrace the wall has a tile mosaic of an elephant and it was very very artistic, kudos guys im loving it. I ordered the spaghetti thalasinon, its a dish with calamari, squid, prawns, octopus and a choice of red or cream sauce,i got the red sauce. the dish resembled with the marinara or the paella dish. I have no single complaints with it,delish and the blending of sauce and the sea foods were cooked the way i like it. Wifi is free, street parking, also you can park on the residential area with no restrictions. Very friendly service, getting busy when i came and i was surprised that so many people still dining out despite the threat of this corona virus. servers wearing masks and hand sanitizer is all over the place.they also do contact tracing which is very very good. This place is okay for group and kids,if you have friends visiting bring them here for a good Greek cuisine. Noise level is average. Pricing is not cheap but im teling you you get good dishes in here. Accept cards and cash. I recommend this place for all the yelpers to check it out. Sooner i will visit again so i can try some other delish in the menu. Beatiful place with amazing service and quality foods.

Yelp
Have you ever been to Earnest Ice Cream on Fraser and always wonder about this restaurant? I did and I never thought about checking it out until my friend recommended it. The food here is amazing! Must order are the lamb chops (so juicy) and ossobouco (so good)! The service is excellent. I would totally go back and check out the pastas. One downside is that it's a bit noisy. Otherwise, I would recommend checking this place out and keep in mind, they're tapas so no chicken souvlaki "platter." Lol

Bob S.

Yelp
Excellent service, great food. Hit all the marks. Will definitely be back next time we are back in town

Yelp
Ambient restaurant in east Vancouver Chicken and prawn souvlaki = super juicy really loved the meat Kalamari was crispy and delicious although I wish they used tsaziki sauce instead of beet root dip - which is fine since I got the tsaziki with my other food Lamb shoulder w potato was very tender tasty. The only thing I wish they had was rice with their entrees.
google avatar

Yelp
My hubby so glad to see a Greek Restaurant opened in our neighborhood. We had the Greek salad was fresh and calamari just perfectly fried. However, the lamb chops was so salty and souvlaki chicken just ok. Good portions for the reasonable price. However, we left on our second visit after we got seated. First, no one come to serve us water and menu for 5 mins. Second, the music was so loud. Third, the big group of table drinking and laughing loudly. I prefer to go somewhere and get better service and food on my weekend.

Yelp
Quite possibly my favourite place in the city for Greek food. The dishes are beautifully presented and delicious, the service was prompt and friendly, and the ambience was cozy. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Great food and fantastic service from Steven. Will definitely return! We enjoyed Calamari, Spanakopita, Lamb shoulder and the best Baklava dessert ever.

Parnian V.

Yelp
Delicious. Everything was superb- not too heavy, not too light but really tasty. The moussaka's bechamel was probably my favorite- crusty and creamy. Would definitely hit this restaurant again.

Yelp
This is my first time trying Nammos, and I have to say I was a little disappointed. The interior was very cute with Greek accents everywhere, and the server was really nice. The yelp reviews were also pretty high, and that played a big factor to our decision making. However, the dishes was mediocre and pricey for what you're getting. Between five people, we had to order approximately 7-10 dishes, and the bill came to be on the higher end. However, the portions were small and the flavours for each dish was neither special nor flavourful. Breakdown for each dish: The spicy feta didn't come with enough pitas for the portion, and tasted like pizza pizza's cheddar jalapeño pizza dip. The calamari had no flavour, and they didn't give enough taziki. The grilled cheese was good, but slightly too stale after a few minutes. The watermelon salad was flavourless. The only thing I would order again would be the moussaka.

Yelp
Came here with some coworkers. We ordered ahead of time as sometimes it takes a while for the food to come out. They were really good in this regards as we had made reservations and placed our orders at the same time. By the time we got there, we were seated and the food came out just as we sat. They knew we had a time limit for our lunch so they were very accommodating. The server was great, very friendly and pleasant. She ensured that we had plenty of water and that we were okay with what we had. The food was good. I had the moussaka, which had good blend of flavours. It had eggplant, zucchini, potatoes, ground beef and béchamel. I could have eaten another one but I should probably try other items. My coworkers had ordered sandwiches for lunch, which they enjoyed. I will definitely be back. Maybe this time it will be for dinner however my coworkers and I do need lunch once in a while so it may be another lunch visit..

Yelp
Had a really excellent meal here the other night! We tried: -Dolmathes (stuffed vine leaves) - very good, probably the best I've had of these. -Large platter with souvlaki, lamb chops, potatoes, etc. The quality was great on all the meats I tried and I loved the potatoes and the tzatziki! A little pricey for the portion but with such high quality probably worth it. -Asparagus risotto with halloumi (special) - I found this very salty but my friends loved it. -Desserts - Loukoumades (greek donuts), very hot and fresh!, Bougatsu, and baclava. All delicious. Service was very friendly and food came out quickly. A bit of a delay on getting bill and paying but assume the server just didn't want to rush us. Interior was nice and cozy - loved the decor here in terms of lighting, textures, decor etc. (Other than the tv over the bar area - can't win them all.) Can't wait to come back here again!

Yelp
I came to visit Nammos on a Saturday evening after my golf practice. It was quite a wait even at 8 pm we got seated at the bar with the reservation. We had eggplants as the appetizer and lamb rack as the main course. The eggplants came with pita, just for FYI, the pita was the best I've ever had! I personally love the cumin on the pita to balance the flavor of the eggplants. The lamb was amazing too. I would give 5/5 to the first time try out, no disappointment at all. The last thing I love about this restaurant was that they collect corks which is also one of my hobbies too.

Yelp
We love the roasted eggplant and the saffron limonata. It was a great arrival meal on our first night in town.

Yelp
Local greek restaurant around fraser street! I'm actually so happy that I live nearby this restaurant. I honestly don't know why I've been walking/driving by this place so many times and not given this place a chance. It was me and my partners first time coming here and I believe it was also our first time trying out a tapas place too. We ordered the 'kalamari', 'chicken souvlaki', and their meatballs (forgot the name, we had to get our server to repeat it a couple of times - still hasn't processed lol). Their calamari was cooked right to the bone (expression, it's boneless clearly) - I love my calamari crunchy! The chicken souvlaki was amazing. My partner loved his decision on choosing their special deal with the meatballs. The entire menu has it's reasonable price, and honestly, it's all worth it. Clearly coming back here from time to time. This place seems really good for family gatherings and other social events :)

Yelp
Great location and room, and this is elevated Greek food by Vancouver's standards but the value just isn't there. Call me old school but when I leave a Greek restaurant I want to waddle my ass out just barely able to walk and to know some cute woolly animal sacrificed themselves for my pleasure. The tapas style is just not for me,. $8 for a single skewer of chicken on a tiny bed of cous cous. Delicious, above average even, but unless you have money to burn,.. it just seemed like the value wasn't there and I was conscious of the laughable portion sizes every time another one was rolled out. We shared with 6 people, and some things could not be cut that small without risking fission.

Yelp
Yum. We wandered past here on a Wednesday evening and managed to get a table without a reservation. I am really glad we did! I loooove Greece and Greek food. It is one of the things I miss most about Europe. Some things were a little less traditional here, but they were all really tasty, and that is what I care about! - The Melitzanosalata (smoked eggplant) is perfect. - The watermelon and feta salad was lovely! I've never seen that in Greece, but the flavours worked really well! - Dolmathes (stuffed vine leaves) come with yogurt and were great. My husband munched one before I could even get a photo! - Prawn souvlaki were a bit dry, but still tasted good. I loved the tomatoes that came on the skewer with them. I'll have to come back and try their spanakopita and saganaki (I am slightly addicted...)

Yelp
If I could give this place more stars, I would cut them out of the sky and give them to you! I am that happy about my experience here! Being a vegan and GF has made my Greek food life nonexistent. This place not only offers my kind of food, but they also excel at it!! Our server, Jamie, was an absolute star. She was very attentive, quick, and allowed us to enjoy our meal while making sure we had everything we needed! Thank you! The place is super cute. Booths and tables fill the restaurant, and they have a good size bar that serves up gorgeous looking cocktails. I ordered the soup of the day (lentil). Very fresh and full of lentils. Tomato based and very smooth. A little pricy ($10) but I didn't mind because it was really good. Then I had the Dolmathes. Hot and fresh served with a wedge of lemon. It was so unbelievably delicious and very filling. Lastly, I had the Melitzana (baked half eggplant, onions, peppers, garlic, tomato) and this dish alone, made me want to be a better person. It was so delicate and flavourful. It melted in my mouth. I seriously wanted to get a few orders to take out! I loved my experience at Nammos! They are killing it! I will 150% come back! Or move there! I haven't decided.

Yelp
I have been to this restaurant two times and both tines loved the food except a few inconsistencies. Both time we got lucky with the street parking, which is otherwise difficult to find. Till now we have tried grilled sea bass, eggplant dip, lamb chops, octopus and prawns. I loved the eggplant dip. It was perfectly seasoned and tasted really good with warm pita bread. Lamb chops are to die for and highly recommended. They were perfectly seasoned. I ordered medium cooked and they were cooked perfectly. Sea bass was slightly over cooked but was seasoned nicely. Still, won't recommend this. Octopus was over cooked and so tasted chewy. Prawn souvlaki tasted yum.

Yelp
This restaurant was such a letdown. I had high expectations based on reviews. The food was below average. I had a leg of lamb that was very dry and flavorless. When I find my own cooking better than that of a professional chef, I believe there is a quality problem somewhere. My dining partner got the whole grilled Mediterranean sea bass, which came with no side. Although he enjoyed his fish, it was far from a culinary bliss! The decor is nice only if you don't pay attention to the giant TV screen behind the bar. Personally I go to a restaurant to disconnect from screens and enjoy the human ambiance. If I want to follow sport I go to a sports bar. In conclusion, I don't recommend this restaurant to anybody who wants to have a pleasurable culinary experience, especially to those who know Greek food, and who want to chill out without having to watch guys running after a ball.

Yelp
THIS IS NOT A GREEK RESTAURANT. I would not recommend this place. First of all, their chicken tasted like dried curry chicken that doesn't even mix well. They don't serve rice with their chicken souvlaki instead it's bulgar which is a type of grain. When I called in to talk to the manager about the quality of the food that I had thrown out because it wasn't edible. He had told me he would not give me a refund and that was ok but the second thing to do to is to replace the meal but he also didn't offer that. He was being petty and unreasonable. They should learn a thing about customer service. I was offered a discount for my next visit there but I don't plan to ever go back, stay away from this restaurant they lack customer service.

Yelp
Finally was able to try out Nammos for my best friend's birthday. There were 4 of us but 1 wasn't hungry and decided to get the chocolate cake so realistically we were eating for 3. A greek restaurant where the menu is designed for sharing, family-style dining. On average, each menu item was $8-$20 so fairly reasonable when splitting the bill. We got the patzarosalata (beet salad), calamari, moussaka, 3 souvlakia, beef, chicken and pork. The patzarosalata was a cold, refreshing beet salad topped with sunflower seeds. The dressing was slightly acidic and mild and the beets were in big chunks. The calamari surprisingly wasn't served with tzatziki sauce (which they charge extra for) but instead with a beet dip. The whole dish wasn't heavy at all with the light crispy batter and nicely fried squid, not super chewy. The moussaka reminded me of a Shepard's pie with the thick potato layer and crispy cheese on top. The bottom layers were eggplant and ground beef. A creamy, rich dish. The 3 souvlakia were all served the same way with a bulgar salad and tzatziki sauce. The meat skewers were big chunks of 4-6 pieces that covered the entire stick. The chicken was my favourite one as it was the juiciest. Lastly, we tried our friends chocolate cake that was served with the salted caramel ice cream from earnest next door. Overall, all the dishes were super delicious and nicely portioned that left us stuffed. The bill ended up only being $20 per person. Definitely will come back for the great greek food.
