"Namu Gaji, Mission District by Avocados and Coconuts. Namu is the perfect place to grab a bite post lounge in Dolores park. Either for lunch or dinner you'll enjoy food based in Korean tradition but with a priority on seasonable and sustainable ingredients, much of which comes from their own farm. Whatever you order there, you can trust it is prepared with utmost care and attention to ingredients and composition. Their lunch offers a more casual menu of which the Korean tacos (nori substitutes a tortilla) and the stonepot (akin to a bibimbap) are two of the favorites. The dinner menu is constantly changing based on availability of produce but the plates are as beautiful as they are delicious."

Neighborhood sushi / Japanese restaurant with a great atmosphere and decent vegan options on the menu.
In addition to beer and sake, offers matcha latte with oat milk (unfortunately charges extra for the vegan milk).
Has take out during COVID / shelter in place.

Described as “fast casual”, this new branch opened up a month ago and is worth checking out. Vibe on point, friendly service, and hot food delightful on a chilly SF day.

Was there 2 times while my San Francisco trip. Kimchi stew as bibimbap was as I know it from korea. After I ordered some extra chili sauce and said thanks , the waiter told me „thank you - I love your style! Soju and bibimbap“. Very friendly waiters, no stress and A+ food. You will see me again next year for 100%!

Namu was great and reservations were easy to get. The guy at the counter talked us through every dish as we had questions and some dietary restrictions. Ended up getting the Stonepot Rice and it was delicious! If you like crunch and texture in your food, then the rice is a great way to start off your experience here. Enjoy!!

First time ordering stone pot and tiger boba.
It's not bad...it kind of tastes like Americanized korean food. The rice texture was off (lumpy, too much water when cooking), the ingredients aren't what was expected in a traditional bibimbap. Lettuce and mushroom looked unprepared.
Sauce and kimchi were fine. Those were the only things that had a familiar texture and taste.
The tiger boba is... OK as well. My first time trying tiger boba, flavor is good. Texture and consistency is... interesting.
Service is good! Staff is friendly. Everything came out promptly.
Portion is very large. Will fill you up!
I would come back if I was really craving any type of rice and didn't want to walk too far.

I first came to Namu Gaji in 2014 when I first lived in San Francisco... Regardless of where I have moved to around the US, I make the trip back to SF to eat at this restaurant for my birthday every year. I absolutely love the people, environment, and of course the food & drink! If I could give this restaurant 10 stars, I would!

First time visit. Friendly, varied menu. Seating and parking was a bit hard. If I didn't have back issues the bench/table /window seats are great. I managed. Will come back. Easy with Public transportation, J line. Next time. Loved being able to go to Delores Park afterwards though

Namu is a cozy spot that genuinely seems to care about food quality and sustainable practices. The prices are fair given these core themes. I really enjoyed their beverage expansion, which now include roasted brown sugar, matcha latte boba, etc.
All in all a decent spot and right by Dolores Park!
