We went to this restaurant for the first time, also due to their range of Gluten Free options. Food is Asian(Thai) but it’s very far from authentic. Nothing was spicy. We paid >510fr for 4 guests. Service was unprofessional and here are the details: 1) the lady server didn’t know the names of the meals on the menu, she was leaning into our menus trying to read description of dishes to write down. 2) we waited very long time for our main dish, it arrived after server already notified us twice that it was coming. 3) we ordered second bottle of water that was never delivered nor served, 4) server messed up orders. But all that was not the reason of my 1 star review. The same server noted that we had a person who has celiac disease and cannot eat gluten AT ALL (this was also noted when the reservation was made). When she brought food and served side dish to the celiac guest, we immediately noticed that those were gluten noodles and called them for assistance, as celiac guest had eaten some already. The extremely ignorant and rude way of speaking to guests is shocking to see in a place like this. First thing: male server/host laughed and tried convincing us that we made a mistake eating the side dish. Second, they denied that it was gluten in the start and then when they realized they can’t cover it up they tried to convince us that gluten side dish was for the guest on the left to celiac guest, but that guest ORDERED RICE!!!! The only guest that had ordered gluten noodles was on completely other side of the table and would not even be able to reach that dish as it was served, and the guest that ordered noodles got his serving already!!!
All this happening and no apology, nothing. I am in utter shock that a place like this doesn’t take allergies seriously! The male server/host asked the celiac guest “how much did you have? if not much maybe it will be ok.”. Every sane person knows that no amount of gluten is safe for the celiac disease, also serving gluten dish touching gluten free dish is contamination! unfortunately this place doesn’t take anything seriously. the celiac guest is STILL suffering consequences of eating gluten that night.
In the end, they sent third person to the table to apologize and offer the contact to report this incident, but through email they are still trying to make this seem as guest’s “mistake”- which is ridiculous!!
I am attaching a photo of that night where you can see that noodles were served on the same plate with the GF dish, exactly put there by lady server who instructed celiac guest that it is their side dish. Important note here is that the guest who was on the left side DID NOT order any noodles but rice!!
Mistakes can happen, it’s life. But this entire incident was made worse by how they handled it. Allergy guests BEWARE! This place is dangerous!
