A Hidden Gem for Authentic Ladakhi Cuisine
This place is truly a hidden gem for anyone looking to explore Ladakhi cuisine. It’s easy to miss from the main road as the sign outside says “Namza Couture,” but once inside, you’re greeted by the charm of a traditional Ladakhi house. The setting is stunning, with blooming flowers and a cool breeze flowing through dreamy white drapes—an Instagram-worthy spot for sure!
The ambiance is incredibly relaxing, making it a great place to unwind. We visited for lunch, but I can imagine the evenings being equally magical here.
As for the food, it was a delightful experience of traditional flavors. The mutton momos were outstanding, and even the vegetarian momos deserve a mention. We also tried the veg version of Yakhandi pulao, which was rich with ghee and tasted good, though I imagine the mutton version would have been even better.
Overall, this café offers a beautiful and authentic experience of Ladakhi culture and cuisine, which is rare to find as modern trends take over. If you’re in Leh, this place is definitely worth a visit for both the food and the ambiance.
