"Nan Hotpot looks like a Cyberdog from the outside, but inside it’s an homage to traditional Chinese Ming dynasty design with yoke back wood benches and vintage signs. It’s packed—students chasing the early bird dinner discount, theatre-goers fuelling up before curtain call, and rowdy groups settling in for the long haul. Tucked just off Leicester Square, this Chongqing spot stays open until the early hours Monday to Saturday, serving food and full-on energy until 3am. Let Nan take the wheel and drive for you—their set menu includes unlimited visits to the sauce station, a platter of sliced beef short ribs, king prawns, sweet potato noodles, and enoki mushrooms in a luxurious half-and-half mushroom and tomato broth. I recently tried Nan Hotpot, and it was absolutely amazing. The broth was rich and flavorful, perfectly balanced without being too heavy. All the ingredients were super fresh – from the tender beef slices to the crunchy vegetables – and everything tasted so satisfying when cooked in the soup. I especially loved the dipping sauces, which really elevated the flavors and made each bite unique. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it a great place to enjoy with friends. Definitely one of the best hotpot experiences I’ve had in a long time!

This is one of my favourite hot pots in Chinatown. The atmosphere has a traditional China look. The hot pot soup base was very tasty, especially the spicy side. There was a variety of options on the menu and every dish that we had was very tasty and fresh. The desserts were also tasty and cute. Will definitely go back to this restaurant.

Nan Hotpot is a true hidden gem! The staff were super friendly and attentive—they explained the menu patiently and even helped us adjust the soup base to our preference. The meat slices were tender, the seafood was very fresh, and the vegetable platter came in generous portions. I especially loved the sesame sauce bar and the free fruit and dessert after the meal.
