Dig Into Fun, Giant Garlic Knots at This New Greenwich Village Restaurant | Eater NY

"Chosen for the first meal of 2026 because it had to involve dumplings, this Westchester Chinese restaurant delivered excellent spicy chicken soup dumplings with a bright red exterior that gives way to delightfully spicy-and-juicy shredded chicken. Each dumpling was placed in its own little foil container to ensure that it didn’t break, and the Colorado-based mini-chain is also making its way into Manhattan with a planned West Village location." - Melissa McCart

Nana's Dim Sum & Dumplings

The food was tasty, and the dishes are technically shareable, but it’s not truly “family-style” as advertised or as you’d expect from a traditional dim sum restaurant. We ordered five dim sum/appetizer items plus the Peking duck for a group of three. The duck entrée was surprisingly small and lacked the crispiness you’d expect. We finished with mochi for dessert, which was fine but unremarkable. The restaurant itself is on the louder side, with pop music playing, which may not appeal to everyone. Overall, the food was adequate, but nothing stood out or justified the expectations set by the menu and descriptions.

We’ve been to Nana’s a few times now and it is absolutely delicious every time. We love the decor. It’s really lovely inside and very comfortable. It’s got a nice atmosphere. The staff is very nice and make great recommendations. There are times when they might get a little bogged down and aren’t necessarily the most attentive, but it’s clear that they are all working hard. On to the food. We have never done any of the entrees and mostly stick to their dim sum, apps, dumplings, and buns. It’s really a place to share food. The food comes out piping hot. Some of the highlights: the crab Rangoon is so good. It’s not overly greasy, the filling is so creamy and good and you can really taste the crab. The chili oil braised beef is amazing. The flavor is so good, but that chili oil creeps up on you. It’s definitely got a kick once you mix everything well so the chili oil is on everything. My absolutely favorite thing on their menu is the beef pancake roll. It has such a nice balance between the crispy pancake, the tender beef, the fresh and light cucumber and the sauce is so good. The dumplings and buns are the star of the show. The shrimp and pork dumplings and the pork and chive are really good. The signature bao are so fluffy. I loved them. The soup dumplings are really the star, but they come out so hot, it’s hard to wait to eat them and I have definitely burned my mouth more than once on them. Also, just about every picture I took is after we’ve already eaten a piece or two because we’re terrible at waiting. Overall, the food is amazing. The price point is good. It’s totally worth a visit and it is a definite repeat for us.

The service was great here. Staff were very friendly and quick. The bar has a great selection of mixed drinks and beer. The food wasn’t bad but it wasn’t the best either. Portion size was very good. The lo mein was a bit bland, and the pan fried dumplings had a bit too much of a chive taste to it. The duck roast spring rolls were amazing though!!

Google
Dropped by to check out their Wonton Noodle Soup (Hong Kong Noodle Style) and their Duck Buns. The duck buns were decent not the same quality as in Chinatown and the Wonton noodle soup left much to be desired. The cilantro threw the taste of the soup off a bit as well. Small portion of noodles, large pieces of bok choy and few pieces of wontons with shrimp and pork. The shrimp tasted like it was pulled out the sea a while ago. The shrimp tasted fishy. Shrimp usually is subtly sweet and clean.

Great food! Our favorites are the spicy cucumber salad, the beef pancake rolls! The dumplings were good, nothing crazy but well! Customer service was great, ambiance is nice! Love the tree! Glad we found it!

Went here for the first time with my family and it did not disappoint. The food was delicious. We had the wonton soup, the long soup buns, udon noodles with no veggies and no meat (for my kid, which she loved), roast duck bun, crab ragoon, shrimp and pork dumplings, and shrimp lo mein, with strawberry green tea. It was so so delicious. I recommend this place if in Scarsdale. I will definitely be back.

All of the dishes are great, especially love the newly launched seasonal menu. Sichuan chicken is amazing, really beat my expectations.

I went earlier today with my daughter and really appreciated the vibe. The place is nice—simple but chic—with a lovely bar. All of the staff were kind and friendly. The soup buns tasted incredibly fresh, which I truly appreciated. I’ll definitely be back.

Yelp
Absolutely incredible experience! This dim sum (dumpling) restaurant exceeded all expectations from start to finish. The food was outstanding -- every dumpling was perfectly crafted, fresh, and packed with flavor. The soup dumplings were juicy and delicate, the shumai were rich and tender, and the pan-fried dumplings had the perfect crisp with a soft, savory center. You can truly taste the quality and care in every bite. The service was just as impressive. The staff was friendly, attentive, and genuinely happy to help with recommendations, making the entire experience feel welcoming and relaxed. Orders came out quickly, hot, and beautifully presented. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, making it a great spot whether you're coming with family, friends, or just craving top-tier dim sum. This is hands-down one of the best dumpling spots I've been to -- I'll definitely be back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for amazing food and exceptional service!

Yelp
I was overjoyed to hear that Nana's was coming to Westchester, and it definitely is one of the best Chinese food options around. I've done takeout twice, and for the most part, we've been very pleased. The mapo tofu is solid and some of the best I've had in Westchester. I also liked the szechuan chicken, spicy chicken soup buns, and pork thumblings. Unfortunately in trying to be different my second time around, we were a little less enthused. The signature bao were nothing special and not particularly meat-y, and the beef pancake rolls were more lettuce filler than beef. That being said, I'll definitely order from here again! I'd love to stay and eat in.

Yelp
The food is delicious and the atmosphere is beautiful. I've been here three times, and the roast duck fried rice is my favorite. If I were rating the food alone, it would be five stars. The service, however, has been inconsistent. On my first visit, our server barely acknowledged us. She spent most of her time talking to the table next to us, and it took a long time just to place our order. When we were ready to leave, it took at least 20 minutes to get the check. We tried waving several times, but she never came over, and she never checked on us once. My second visit was better. We were briefly ignored when we walked in, but it was nothing compared to what happened the third time. On my third visit, we were completely ignored by the hostess. No greeting, no acknowledgment. She stood a foot away from us, looking right past us as if we weren't there. We had no idea what to do until she finally spoke, but it was to seat another party. I understand she needed to do her job, but a simple "hello" or "I'll be right with you" would have made a difference. After standing there with no acknowledgment, we ended up leaving. The food is great, but the service really needs improvement. I don't think I'll come back until that changes.

Yelp
Yuummm! I first found and had Nana's in Denver such a treat that their first east coast location is in Scarsdale! The food tasted just as good as their other locations, love the consistency! The soup dumplings are amazing. Severed up hot and steaming and filled with a delicious broth and filling. We couldn't just get one order... The sweet rice shu mai was so tender and the rice was delicious. The duck spring roll is filled with the perfect balance of tender duck and cucumber crunchy. A little messy as you bite in but well worth it! Service is really quick and someone is always around to clear plates, fill water or order seconds... Highly recommend if you're a dim sum fan or giving it a try for the first time.

Yelp
This place did not disappoint at all ! The decor was so cute ! They also had a window displaying a dumpling making station so you can see the chefs prepare the dumplings. The crab rangoons were the best rangoons I've ever had !! They were filled with rich cream cheese and crab and paired with a delicious sweet and spicy sauce. We tired the pork and mushroom dumplings which also did not disappoint. The shrimp dumplings were also so good !! The pork pan seared buns were not my favorite, I tried them to try something new but next time I will stick with the steamed buns. I think if you like a little crunch with your buns then you would love it ! Our wait staff were super attentive and friendly. I can't wait to go back and try more things off the menu !

Yelp
This is my first time eating at this Chinese restaurant. I ordered a Lychee Green tea drink Iced. It was sweet yet refreshing. I came here for a light lunch around 11:30am on a weekday. This restaurant is located in a strip mall in Eastchester with plenty of free parking. There are no lunch specials. It is the same price for lunch and dinner. In this case I suggest coming for dinner because their prices are not Chinese take out prices. You are paying for the quality of the food. My scallion roll pancake tasted fresh. It was flaky and chewy. The beef was perfectly seasoned not too salty. It did cost me $16.00. I don't remember the price of my Lychee drink but it was tasty. I will be back to try their soup dumplings very soon. Service from the hostess to my server as well as the bartender was great! I felt welcomed and appreciated as a customer. The atmosphere is comfortable and uniquely decorated with the traditional upscale Chinese interior theme. It was clean and organized. I highly suggest trying this place and let me know if you liked it as much as I did!

Yelp
I was first alerted to Nana's by one of my friends - her and her husband had recently dined here and had good things to say. I checked out their Yelp and saw they had high reviews with some tasty looking photos. As I'm always looking for new spots to try, I put this place on my radar to check out. Since I was looking for dinner the other night, I thought this was the perfect opportunity to give Nana's a try, so off I went. I did a little research before making my way over and learned that Nana's has several locations - most of them are in Colorado and this one in Scarsdale is their first one on the East coast. I noticed they offered takeout and since I didn't feel like dining in I decided to order online and pick up. I did get a peek at the interior though - it's a decently-sized restaurant that's modestly decorated. It was absolutely packed when I arrived so I think I made the right choice to get takeout. As it's located in a strip mall on White Plains Rd in Scarsdale, parking is readily available in the shared lot. The menu is not as expansive as a traditional Asian restaurant - they focus on buns and dumplings, rice, and noodles with a small selection of soup and some apps. I decided to get the pan-fried "thumblings" and lo mein. The thumblings were essentially mini pork dumplings - they were quite flavorful and came with three sauces; two of them were soy sauces and the other looked like a chili-based one that had some spice. They complemented the dumplings well. I was a little hesitant with the lo mein at first as the color seemed blander than other ones I've tried - however, the flavor was there. They offer several proteins and I decided to get chicken; the portion size of the protein was adequate and all the components complemented each other. I also found myself utilizing the remaining chili oil to augment the flavor, though it's not totally necessary. Pickup was efficient, my order was ready at the time specified. Overall, I was impressed with my first Nana's experience - the food was tasty and I definitely want to return to try more of their menu. It's a welcome addition to the dining scene in lower Westchester.

Yelp
Food was fantastic, vibe was inviting, prices were fair. Service was complimentary, so it felt like every waiter helped out to take care of customer. 5/5 recommend this place Chili oil was packed with flavor, not spicy Dumpling sauce was delicious. Would have liked to have fresh ginger available to add to the dumpling sauce Spicy cucumber salad Cucumbers served cold, not spicy, I enjoyed adding chili oil to them. Perfect compliment to help fill up your belly with something more healthy as you devour everything else on the menu Black bean spare ribs Didn't love this, tiny meat pieces with little bones. Lacking in black bean flavor for me, Felt like more trouble than it was worth. Pan fried pork buns Delicious, will order everytime. Loved the hard crust on the bottom Xiao long soup buns Delicious will order everytime Signature bao Pork filling inside Delicious!!! Will order 2 everytime Chive and pork dumplings Delicious!!!! Will order everytime Spicy cabbage dumplings Very tasty, didn't get much cabbage. Tasted like the inside of a spring roll Chicken udon Good but for me not the reason to go Mapo tofu Good but for me not the reason to go Restaurant is inside of a shopping center so there is ample parking

Yelp
Came here after movies for dinner for our first time with friends & family on Christmas Day not knowing what to expect. The place was packed which for me is usually a good sign . We were warmly greeted and seated immediately. The place itself was beautifully decorated and our server was Yuli who was wearing a Christmas themed costume, which just gave the place a great ambience and really celebrated the occasion. Our sever Yuli was magnificent and all the different people that touched the table were excellent. We ordered quite a bit of everything and everything came out fresh and warm and well presented . All of our various drinks were well mixed and balanced. I have to say I can't find anything negative to say, which is rare because there's always something. . This place earned 5 stars from me and I will definitely be back. I wish this place all the success because you can see how they strive for excellence . Well done !

Yelp
So happy we now have a local dim sum spot! I really like the way they revamped the place post Sea Flame. They have plenty of seating and a nice bar area as well. We put our name in and waited about 25 minutes. They sat us once our whole party had arrived. Our waiter was very nice and helpful as we had a few questions regarding the menu. The item descriptions are in Mandarin, so we weren't sure if some of the dishes were meat or veggie. Since it is mainly family style, we ordered a variety of appetizers and dim sum. My favorites were the pan fried thumblings. I will be going back soon to try the Xiao Long Bao!

Yelp
Absolutely blown away by Nana's Dumplings in Scarsdale! This new spot is a home run! Every dish we ordered was a hit, and I honestly can't wait to go back. Service was warm, friendly and extremely helpful navigating the menu. We started with the spicy cucumber salad which had the perfect balance of heat and tang -- the ideal opener. The stir-fried string beans were garlicky, tender with a bit of snap, and so addictive we almost ordered a second round. The beef pancake rolls, shrimp dumplings, chive and pork fried dumplings were all spot on! The xiao long bao were delicate and bursting with rich, flavorful broth, and the pan-fried pork buns had a perfect crunch-to-softness ratio. And then dessert -- OMG! The salted egg custard buns were absolute heaven. Soft, warm, and with that sweet-savory custard that melts in your mouth. A must-order! Nana's Dumplings is exactly what Westchester needed --run don't walk! Very busy on opening weekend and I have no doubt this place is going to be packed once word gets out. 5 stars, no question!

Yelp
A 4.5 star experience rounded to 5 stars. Half hour wait on an August Friday. We left our name with the host and took a walk. Got the text a half hour later and were seated promptly at a four top. Before my Moscow Mule arrived, Nick asked if we would move to another table so he could make a table for 8. We were moved to a better location, a comfortable booth, and received a 10% discount. First up savory pork and chive dumplings, which tasted a lot like the Dongbei version at Golden Palace in Flushing. Xiao long bao followed. These were solid with savory broth but not at the level of Nan Xiang. Moist shu mai, but I will express a preference for the ones at Aberdeen. Dim sum spareribs were excellent. They arrived on little pillows of rice noodle, with fresh slices of jalapeño. Maybe the meatiest ever. Salt and pepper shrimp were not the typical New York version. They were shelled, medium sized, with a batter more like popcorn shrimp. They came with a creamy sauce. I might not repeat this one. I would revisit the perfectly cooked and seasoned sautéed string beans, but they are pricy at $20. We finished with the Peking Duck which was the most expensive entree at $48. It came with delicate crepe style pancakes, the usual cucumbers and scallion, and hoi sin. We only received the deboned breast, which on this particular duck was on the small side. Although I was disappointed with the portion size, the presentation was excellent and flavor was on point. Service was consistently friendly and prompt, no teething troubles at this newish location. A welcome addition to the list of Westchester Chinese restaurants.

Yelp
This place is relatively new and there are still some bumps being ironed out but the food and servers are all terrific. I cannot decide what I want to eat when I'm here so I order the mixed dumplings. I have been here five times in three weeks and plan on going back again soon

Yelp
This place totally hit the spot and delivered on both flavor and experience. We came hungry and left completely satisfied. Here's what we ordered: * Shrimp & Pork Shu Mai - Perfectly bouncy with a great savory flavor. A solid classic done well. * Red Sea Chili Wontons - Packed with flavor and just the right amount of heat. Not overpowering, but definitely present. * Chive & Pork Dumplings - A simple, traditional combo that was executed beautifully. * Xiao Long Bao (Soup Dumpling) - Light, savory broth in every bite. Really comforting without being too rich. * Truffle Soup Bun - The surprise standout. We almost didn't order it, and now we can't stop thinking about it. Deep, aromatic flavor -- didn't even need any sauce. * Salt & Pepper Shrimp - This was the one dish that didn't quite land for us. Instead of the traditional sautéed shrimp with a crisp salt-and-pepper crust, these were dipped in a batter and deep-fried. The batter muted the seasoning -- we barely got any salt, and just a hint of pepper. They were served with a creamy, mayo-based dipping sauce that felt more Americanized and wasn't really necessary. If they had gone with the classic salt-and-pepper prep, this dish could've been a standout. Beyond the food, the service was excellent -- the staff was friendly, helpful, and genuinely welcoming. The ambiance was also a highlight: modern, clean, and stylish with a chic Asian design that felt calm and polished. We also loved the little details: every table had a full set of sauces (dumpling sauce, hot chili oil, and soy sauce), so you didn't have to ask for a thing. And they even provided pens so you could easily check off items on the menu or sign your receipt when paying with a card -- such a thoughtful touch that made everything smoother. Everything tasted fresh and made with care -- and we're already craving those truffle soup buns again.

Yelp
One of the best Chinese restaurants in Westchester. The foods are casual but pretty yummy. I wish they had lunch specials, so they don't charge $8 for hot and sour soup for example. But the staffs are all very friendly. Parking is free and easy to find which is also a big plus.

Yelp
The dining room is beautiful!!!! There's a special feel that I can't really describe. You have to dine in and take it in for yourself. The customer service was great. The bartender was attentive and extremely helpful. She was the absolute sweetest. After I was sat down by the hostess, she came over and explained the menu. I was so impressed! A menu checklist and binder with visuals were both at the table along with a pen. I was instructed to look at the pictures and check off the items I wanted. My server's name was Emalie. She was a gem. I loved her recommendations and the patience she had with me. I asked so many questions and asked to send an item back to the kitchen. My favorite dish was the Thumplings! OmG! They are perfectly delicious. Ughhhhh, the absolute best. They are mini soup dumplings fried crispy. Please try them!!!! 10/10 Highly recommend I also ordered the shrimp and pork dumplings. The flavor was delicious and the dough was purple. Which was unusual. I would rate it a 7/10. Because the filling wasn't enough. The dough to filling ratio was high. I wish it was more meat per dumpling. The last food item was Xiao Long Soup Bun. This was not my favorite. Because it wasn't as flavorful as I'd hoped. The broth wasn't flavorful in my opinion. The filling was tasteless as well. And I have to remind you guys that I'm new to Soup Dumplings. I fell in love with them at a restaurant in Chinatown in Boston, Massachusetts. But this was no where near close. I had a Tito's cocktail that was super refreshing and delicious. It was called Geisha. 10/10 Highly recommend! I can't wait to go back!

Yelp
Food was overall ok, not amazing. However it was very overpriced with small portions. We ordered the Nana's Peking duck ($48!!!) anticipating a decent amount of food for the exorbitant price but was served a very small portion, fitting for not even one person. In addition, service was slow. Despite empty tables, we were asked to wait outside and the timing between the dishes were prolonged.

Yelp
Let me start by saying Nana's isn't terrible. But it's also not dim sum. At least, not the kind anyone with deep cultural roots, or even fond memories of Sunday mornings elbow-to-elbow in a steamy Chinatown banquet hall, would recognize. This is a polished, carefully curated imitation of a centuries-old tradition, tailored for a very specific audience. The location says a lot. Down the street from an Equinox and across from a Lululemon, Nana's sits comfortably in the heart of Scarsdale's aspirational core. Gentrified dim sum , served in a clean, softly lit space nestled among designer yoga mats and collagen smoothies. It's the perfect spot to introduce your white in-laws to "Chinese food," minus the chaos, the noise, or any chance of being challenged. Prices reflect the ZIP code, not the quality. Most dishes run about 15 to 30 percent higher than they should, and the $22 truffle soup dumplings are the clearest example. That's not a modern twist. That's what happens when you turn comfort food into luxury branding. The food isn't offensive. But it's not exciting either. No MSG here, which is both a selling point and a quiet signal that this is dim sum made for a safer, more sanitized palate. It's all clean and mild, the cultural edges carefully sanded down. You won't leave angry; although, you just might wonder what happened to your soul. The staff is warm, especially the runners, though service tends to swing unpredictably. One moment someone is hovering to replace a single fallen chopstick, the next you're craning your neck for a simple water refill. Friendly, but inconsistent. The space is beautiful in the way upscale Asian restaurants often are in affluent towns: minimalist, calming, with just enough bamboo to suggest authenticity without ever risking it. The bathrooms are especially immaculate. Honestly, they might be the highlight of my visit. To be fair, Nana's knows its audience and serves them well. It was never trying to evoke Hong Kong or Chinatown. It's not for those who crave nostalgia or flavor or heat. It's for the polite brunch crowd. And in that lane, it succeeds. But if you've tasted the real thing (or carry the memory of it with you) you'll likely walk away feeling something's missing. I know I did. I won't be back anytime soon, unless I'm hosting white friends from out of town who want a "really cute" dim sum spot. In which case, Nana's it is.

Yelp
The new dumpling place in Scarsdale is a great addition to the Fresh Market plaza. We went for lunch and the food and service was amazing! The space looks nice with lovely natural decor and red and gold accents. When you get to your table they give you a menu and you check off the items you want. Our server made some great recommendations as well. We tried several items including cucumber salad, bbq buns, crab Rangoon's and pork and chive soup dumplings. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. I also loved the Szechuan chicken, salt and pepper shrimp and spicy green beans. Lo mein was the only thing we didn't like. The noodles tasted gummy to me. On each table, they have soy sauce, dumpling sauce and chili oil so you can make your own delicious dipping sauce. All in all, a great new addition to the area. We will definitely be back!

Yelp
This franchise restaurant is layed out nicely, the service friendly and efficient. The food has alot of variety and is very fresh. The beef roll with scallions very fun and tasty. The duck fried rice delicious and plentiful. We had the dumplings roulette 6 different dumplings that all were very good. The place has a lot of different options for both food and beverages.

Yelp
Very good quality food. Roast duck spring rolls really good. It is more pricey than it needs to be however, and disappointing that there is no lunch special menu.

Yelp
This place is only a few weeks old. My wife and I love dim sum so we decided to give this place a try. First of all, they do not accept reservations. We went there yesterday around 5 PM just when they opened. By 6PM they were packed. The dumplings and dim sum were good. Our server Bridget was outstanding, funny and attentive. The place has a laid back vibe with a decorative ambiance that resembles a peaceful forest like atmosphere. Although I did fine the dim sum at Kumo's much better, I'd still give this place a second try . Although I find Aberdeen's the best for dim sum in Westchester, Nama's is a good new alternative for the Eastchester/Scarsdale area.

Yelp
This place is a go to for Saturday lunch! Delicious dumplings in a vibrant setting. We sat at the bar. Service was excellent and quick. The chili shrimp dumplings, pork shumai and beef pancakes all wonderful. Perfect heat on the dumplings.

Yelp
Food is just so so so so good. Everything tastes so fresh and comes out beautiful. Tried the sesame balls for the first time and they were so good.

Yelp
First and last time here. We were a party of two and ordered five items, but only received two. Shockingly, we were then asked if we were ready for the check. When we explained we were still waiting for the rest of our food, the waiter looked confused, admitted we hadn't been served our full order, and apologized. To make it worse, the restaurant was not busy--only three tables were occupied. The moment we finished our appetizers, another waiter immediately asked if we wanted the rest packed to go, even though I hadn't even received my main course yet. When I reminded him, he casually said, "Oh, let me check." Soon after, a manager or owner came over, apologized, and offered a mere $9 discount while sending the rest of our food to go. The entire experience was unprofessional, dismissive, and left me feeling racially profiled. An absolute disgrace.

Yelp
I've been here multiple times and I'm upset with this specific visit. I love this place. It's cute, the inside is awesome, it's cozy and I love the food. However, this visit was not the same. I ordered takeout, came at the specified time and when I came to pick it up, the girl at the front said "it's not ready" whilst I stood there. After an awkward pause I said "so how long" to which she told me around another 30 minutes. I came back to pick up the food, saw my bag and got completely ignored by the same front of house staff member, who then walked away. I asked the other staff member if the bag sitting on the counter was for me, which she confirmed. I grabbed it and left. When I got home, I found out that every utensil and dipping sauce for all of the meals were missing. I'm honestly a bit upset as spending $100+ dollars for a meal shouldn't be missing literally every condiment and utensil. It's honestly a bit frustrating. I'll be back, but for a place as popular and expensive as Nanas, service and quality should be top notch and this fell really short this time around

Yelp
First time here, friendly staff and all the steamed items were piping hot which I like . Food was really good ... finally found a good Dim Sum place in Westchester , since Central Seafood closed in Hartsdale few years ago, and Aberdeen in White Plains is so some now

Yelp
Went for lunch and there was plenty of parking. I didn't have to wait for a table at all. The staff was friendly and attentive and answered any questions I had. The decor and ambiance was warm and low lit with very interesting Chinese style paper lamps adorning each table. I ordered the Dumpling Roulette which had one of each of their offered dumplings. I would recommend this to get the variety. The har gow and shumai dim sum are well done staples. The standout item was the roasted duck spring roll which you must try. It was delicious. Highly recommended location.

Yelp
Being an unrepentant carboholic, I was extremely happy to see a new noodles and dim sum place open up here. I went with a friend yesterday, hoping that it would live up to my aspirations for it. Spoilers: it did. We got there without a reservation (I don't know if they even take them) at prime dinner time and we were told we would have a 25-minute wait. We put our name in and sat outside. They took my phone number and within a minute or two of our sitting down, I got a text with a link to their seating system, which allowed me to see where we were in line for a table. It worked seamlessly and was a very nice touch, I thought. Open only a month, everything is nice and new and the servers (and there were plenty of them!) were energetic, accommodating and knowledgeable. The food was excellent. We had a duck spring roll, which was actually more along the lines of an open-ended eggroll, that was quite nice. We had three different dim sum or dumpling dishes--shu mai (awesome), iridescent shrimp dumplings (the highlight of the show, for me) and pork and mushroom pan-fried dumplings. It doesn't necessarily sound like too much food for two fairly hungry people, but it was more than we could eat. Regrettably, we left with a lonely pork and mushroom dumpling staring plaintively at us and keening to be taken home. Sadly, it's pleas went unrequited. Everything was very fresh and what we got here was nothing like the prefabricated frozen things that you get from your average Chinese takeout place. There are a lot of other things on the menu, which remain to be explored on future outings. We will be returning. My only nit is that, when full, the place can be pretty loud. As we were in the second seating at dinner and it was the middle of the week, the place emptied out a bit while we were eating and the din subsided. Nana's is part of chain that originated out in Colorado. I don't know exactly what led them to choose to open here, but I'm glad they did.

Yelp
We decided to try this place on our anniversary. While service was attentive and appreciated, and the food was attractively served, it left something to be desired. I say that because even with the variety of choices, there wasn't much variation in flavor. At least the wonton soup was abundant, with thin noodles and oversized wontons. I had some difficulty picking up some items because of their size and slipperiness. My recommendation is to try this place, and if it appeals to you, come back.

Yelp
Food was great & authentic. Vibe was casual and cute, service was good. The dishes were all good portions and full of flavor. Happy to have this addition to westchester.

Yelp
Went in yesterday for lunch with my family. It was great! Ordered some spicy wontons, soup dumplings, duck fried rice (the best) and a few other dishes. Everything was delicious and the waiter did a great job explaining everything . Drinks were on the sweet side. We had Tiki time and Geisha. The only reason i am giving it a 4 star is i wish they had options for kids. Saw quite a few families at the establishment at the time we went and overheard another family ask for kids options. My young child had Szechuan chicken and it was a bit spicy . I get the concept of the restaurant but given that it is a family place, not all kids eat spicy or dim sum or dumplings. I will definitely be returning without kids.

Yelp
Arrived on a Monday night and there was no wait. Staffs were very friendly and attentive; constantly refilling our water and making sure we have everything we need. Food was tasty and as authentic as it gets in Westchester area. Would recommend.

Yelp
The sign says open until 2:30 After parking we entered the restaurant at 1:50 and told it was too late to be seated. He did not care about the sign and refused to seat us. Why have a sign when the wording is ignored . My one star is for sevice as I never had a chance to try the dumplings.

Yelp
Fresh dim sum offerings. Fast, efficient service. Cool dining space. Have not been disappointed with anything I've ordered.

Yelp
Went here the first few weeks they open and have just been going for pick up orders. I am in love. I am so grateful. We finally have a place in Westchester like this.

Yelp
Sleek, nice atmosphere here. It kind of reminds me of a P.F. Chang's type restaurant but more authentic food. Primarily appetizers/dim sum, food overall is very good.

Yelp
Packed on a Wednesday. Louder than a subway station. Strip mall parking. Efficient service. Hit and miss food. Forget the hot/sour soup. Dumplings all tasted the same. The fried pork buns were a revelation. The house bun was average, spare ribs were well seasoned, but boney, and the beef pancakes were a new one, but at 6 pieces, pretty skimpy. Left hungry. Think twice.

Yelp
Welcome to the neighborhood, a new place , a new cuisine , a new menu & new fusion. A must Try! My server was Jennifer, she's the best! She 's on point with all the dishes. The restaurant is nice , cute, has a sport bar, good for family/ date/ lunch break. No space for a bday party of 20, that will take up the entire restaurant. Plenty parking in front. The dishes are distributed as served, no particular order. I'am pleased & satisfied with their portions ; very fulfilling ; except for their custard desert bun,: tiny , the size of a macaron, but delicious! The sesame balls are small too but the quantities are more, love their spicy chicken bun, it has spice and hotness, a Kapow to your taste bud. Love their salt & pepper shrimp. The honey chicken feet is seasoned right like a traditional dim sum, just a bigger size. Their shrimp& pork shu mai & wonton tasted the same, on the inside, the noodle and broth was abit lite seasoned. Their steamed Shrimp& pork dumpling in a purple coloring wrap, I can skip next time. I only tasted Chives. Their roasted duck spring roll displayed nicely but can skip next time , I only tasted cucumbers. As far as drinks, I'll stick to hot tea green/black. Their flavored drinks, , I expected sliced fruits but was not the case, you can add Boba ; similar to bubble tea, just very lite and mostly ice . Yes, their Chinese broccoli is delicious, crunchy the way it should be cooked. The price I paid is descent, for their portions, it's worth it. . None of my dishes were over cooked or under cooked, nor over steamed. Til next time !

Yelp
Totally unimpressed I heard such great things so my expectations were high. The decor is very pretty. The menu and the food meh. We ordered 4 different dumplings and everything tasted the same. The best part was the mochi for desert. For those who enjoy it great, we will never go back

Yelp
Quality and authentic Shanghainese food is very limited in this area but I'm so glad to have Nana opened now. I recommend the fried buns which was outstanding. Service was great and they also have a decent drink menu. Would definitely be back.

Yelp
Went in for dinner. Great ambiance, just above average food. Get the duck wrap and soup dumplings

Yelp
Beautiful presentation, chic interior decor, got not so nice waitress, overpriced menu for most items. Super small selection for dim sum. Soap dumplings unpleasantly sugary sweet, didn't served with ginger and vinegar unless specifically asked for it. This is supposedly the first kind of "authentic" Shanghainese rest but the taste has deviated from the classic Shanghainese cuisine. Maybe this is how Colorado Shanghainese cuisine tastes like?

Yelp
We arrived just after they opened and we quickly greeted and shown to a table. You have a menu with pictures and an order sheet, both with prices on them. Everything looked good and we preceded to order most of the dumplings on the menu. The soup dumplings were delicious. The salt and pepper shrimp were perfectly cooked. The first surprise was the shrimp dumplings, Har Gow, they were bouncy and filled with a mixture of large and small pieces of shrimp. The thumpings were outrageously delicious. When you go ask to sit in Yuli section. She will definitely take care of everything and make sure your food comes out in a timely manner. She doesn't have everything come out at once so your dumplings get cold.

Yelp
Remember walking into your grandmothers home after school and smelling her cooking? Your grandma walks towards you with plates of food in hand with a large smile on her face ready for you to taste her food she makes with extra love. That's what it feels like seeing a server bring me my dim sum and dumpings every time I go to nana's. Their mini dumplings are always bite sized yet delicious. The feeling of walking into the restaurant in like a nostalgic memory, I've been there at least once a week for past month since it opened and I've had a lot of dumplings but none of them can top nana's. One of the most important things in a restaurant is ambiance and let me tell you this restaurant doesn't disappoint. If you want high quality, fresh, and unforgettable food, try nana's.
