Chicago House of ‘Za Vegan Pizzeria is moving to North Center’s Sola/Kick space | Eater Chicago

"In suburban Elmhurst, Nancy’s Pizza is credited with inventing the Chicago-style stuffed pizza; founders Nancy and Rocco Palese famously gave away their recipe, and Danny Gulino worked there for years, molding his vegan stuffed pies after their style." - Ashok Selvam

We visited Nancy's Towne House on a Saturday night and got lucky with the last table for two (quite small) at 5:30 pm. By 5:45pm, it was a full house (bar seating taken too!), so this place is clearly a local favorite! We went with the original large cheese pizza. While the sauce didn’t quite hit the mark for me personally, I’d still rate it a solid 7.9 (Dave Portnoy gave it an 8.8!). The Buffalo wings were stellar & definitely a highlight. Shoutout to Arielle, the manager, who was quick and on top of everything, and to Chloe, our sweet waitress, who gave great advice and told us a large pizza and Buffalo wings would be more than enough; she was right! The charm of the place (it gave me New England vibes, maybe Maine?) is the perfect backdrop to a cozy, enjoyable experience. Can’t wait to come back and try the Drunken Chicken Parm! Highly recommend this spot :)

Google
This is your quintessential NJ pizza spot (Portnoy agrees too)! Red checkered tablecloths, mismatched chairs and basement vibes leave it all up to the quality of the pizza to tell the story! And it SURE DOES! An incredible thin crust pie, sauce was perfectly sweet paired with a nice crunch from the dough. Make sure to get a side of hot honey, and don’t worry, the beers come in pitcher sizes too! Plus prices are super fair, a large pie for less than $15. This is what pizza shops need to aspire to!

Google
The crust is thin, crunchy and flaky. Base is dry but not burnt. Cheese and sauce is good, cheese was a bit lighter on one of my pies. I think my pizzas didn’t come out as good as some others I see posted on here. One of mine had more cheese than the other too. Good plain pies but I feel like the crust is what makes it different, cheese and sauce do not really stand out. The restaurant has a unique bar feel, parking lot in the back is small.

We had a take out pepperoni pie that we ate at the Wet Ticket Brewery's beergarden (located a few doors down or next door) during a concert of the Pennyless Loafers. What made me think about going back to Nancy's Towne House is the good vibes I got when picking up the pizza( thin crust, crisspy, freshly made) and the stories told by a Rahway native and her date dining there while we wait for our order pick up. It's an old school Italian kitchen. Definitely, a gem hidden in plain sight. Courteous; down-to-earth staff. I can only talk about the Rome style thin crust pizza but soon should be able to try other dishes. Until then, I'll hold my horses.

Google
Awesome place, probably the crispiest crust that I've ever eaten.more than just pizza this place but of course I had their pizza, also ordered some garlic bread which was delicious. Service was great, prices were ridiculously low and pizza was excellent. Definitely a place to visit!

Google
Ordered two pizzas for take out on a Friday night. The place has such character, and you can imagine not much has changed in the past 40 years or so. It was packed, but I do hope to go and dine in some day. We went to the end of the bar to get our pizzas, and they were awesome. SUPER thin, crisp/crackery bit of crust. Awesome flavor to the sauce, cheese, and the fresh toppings. Definitely worth a trip to experience this gem!

Google
We had read rave reviews about the thin crust pizza, so we finally stopped in to try it. We waited to be seated while a group of staff huddled together. I'm generally patient about such things. It could be a shift change or prepping for the evening rush. But it didn't seem to be anything like that. From the chalk board, we decided to try the onion soup. When we asked for it, our waiter said they didn't have it. He went and checked and found that they did. He even said that he should have checked the board. So far these were minor issues I would normally ignore as unimportant trivial things. The onion soup was AWFUL. It was somehow somewhat gummy - thickened with something. OK. This place was not known for their soup. We ordered the hot appetizer with Eggplant rollatini, calamari, shrimp, and muscles. This was very good. However, the eggplant was served on top of the shellfish. My wife is allergic to shellfish so she couldn't risk eating very much of it. We ordered a small pizza with peppers and onions. I understand that it's thin crust, but it was overcooked. The crust had the consistency of a cracker. We won't be going back here.

Google
Super cute little Italian restaurant. Loved the pizza and all the appetizers we tried. Service was welcoming and kind, everything was handled even though it was super busy and we were a big party. Would recommend! Probably make a reservation though because it was a week night and still packed.

Yelp
Ambiance: Underground hole in the wall diner with a bar vibes. Food: Ordered the Grandma Vodka Pie that our server recommended and an old school Coca Cola in glass. The pizza was super thin and large; the vodka sauce was absolutely delicious - my friend and I demolished the entire pie.   Service: Server was super friendly and made excellent recommendations. I'm definitely coming back here to try the other pies.

Yelp
This spot earns the unique distinction of having hands down the thinnest bar pie I have ever had, and if you've been even casually following me you know that I have sampled A LOT of bar pies over my now many years. Now mind you this was certainly not the best bar pie I have tried, nor even probably the top five in New Jersey for that matter, but it's a unique distinction nonetheless. I'm talking approaching literally actual paper levels of thinness, as is indicated by the price difference between a small and large pie being a mere 75 cents at the time of my last visit, but nonetheless managed to retain a nice snap to it, quite an impressive feat of pizza engineering. Obviously wolfing down a large pie was light work. Beyond the thinness the flavors were fine if a bit muted and bland. The old school pepperonis registered as quite "flat" in every sense of the word in the current Roni-Cup era. While the pizza may not be life changing beyond the novelty of the impossibly thin crust the place earns its definite 4 star status on the strength of its gloriously unrenovated period decor inside and out. I really hope they keep it intact and resist the urge to renovate in a horribly bland manner like my beloved Star Tavern and way too many other old school bar pie legends. It's also located in the charming and vibrant downtown of Rahway and the barstools on each side me were filled with friendly regulars who spoke highly of the wings, baked pastas and other non pizza menu items. Well worth a stop if you are in or passing through the area.

Yelp
We got a Caesar, Garlic bread, drunken Grandma pizza, and the Mango habanero pizza. The crust was as thin as I've seen and was awesome!! Feels like home in here.

Yelp
If you like thin crust pizza, Nancy's Townhouse Pizza is the place for you. The crust is so thin it's almost cracker-like. It's absolutely delicious. All of their specialties pies are great but for your first time I would recommend trying their classic cheese to get a feel of the style. My boyfriend and I regularly eat here when we're craving a good pie. Be warned, Nancy's is a staple in Rahway, so they are usually pretty busy. My boyfriend and I never mind sitting at the bar so we're usually in luck to find seating there. They do take reservations which I highly recommend on the weekends. There is street parking however conveniently, when that is full, there is also a parking deck directly across the street. The atmosphere is very divey, like an old pizza parlor meets basement bar and I think it's so great. You feel like you're getting a pizza pie that's been passed on for many generations and many to come with the business that they do. The staff are always great. You're going to see the same faces every time you come. You can tell they have all been working here for quite some time which you love to see. They are very friendly and helpful. If you're looking to enjoy some great pizza, beer, and some great times with your family or friends, Nancy's is a great option.. Thanks Nancy's! See you again soon!

Yelp
Rare 5 Star Review What a spot? Could we please have this near our house??? Not sure how anyone could have a bad thing to say about Nancy's. Let's count the ways. 1. Old School? Emphatically Yes - the big old fashioned red awning above the entrance door explains it all. 2. Great food? Yes - Pizza was great and so was the vast array of Italian dishes. Drunken Chicken Parm was great. 3. Great Atmosphere? Yes - extremely friendly clientele, we spoke to everyone around us. 4. Good Drinks? Yes - Strong drinks and ice cold draft beer. Win 5. Decor Cool? Yes - Basement bar area with checked tablecloths, wood paneling, and some classic light fixtures. We live in Rhode Island and frequent Jersey joints all over the state regularly. Nancy's maybe our favorite spot to visit in NJ. If you like classic old school spots, meeting friendly people, and eating great homemade food, then it's impossible to go wrong at the townhouse. Enjoy, thanks

Yelp
Hi i been here many times , loved the bar pie always delicious. TODAY as soon as i put the first slice in my mouth i said to myself is not the same . i would say they they changed the cheese very bland no flavor & when i seen my wife put Salt on a slice i knew right away . is a shame the only place i would go around this area for a great tasting pie . maybe those tariffs did it . who knows i wont be coming back anymore.

Yelp
We had a pick up order that was pretty seamless, a large pepperoni and cheese on thin crust. Total was $19 & pizza arrived hot, fresh, and deliciously made. Ambiance on pick up was what to be expected-- spacious, red checkered tablecloths, down home, somewhere between 1970-1995 interiors with locals enjoying tables and bar with friends. It was 11am just at opening and always patrons having their lunch! Crowd was more diverse than I expected and staff were efficient and approachable. Pizza was crispy, perfectly folded, good amounts of cheese and sauce, pepperonis could have been more equally dispersed on slices. A good pie and definitely enjoyable pizza for lunch.

Yelp
Happy to have found another great NJ pizza spot. They serve typical bar style pizza which is thin and crispy. It was very busy when I ordered.

Yelp
It is rare that a restaurant remains consistent for over 20 years and Nancy's is one of those diamonds in the rough. I have been coming here with my family since I was born and have never been disappointed in the quality of food and service. The ambience is so cozy and welcoming and very nostalgic. Be prepared to order 1 pie per person, that thin crust is so addictive and light! While I always get pizza, I also love the hot antipasti and the cold one, the salads are always great and soups are delicious and homemade. I recommend making a reservation but it's well worth the wait if showing up spontaneously.

Cooper H.

Yelp
This place is special. I crushed the whole large hot honey roni alone with a pitcher of beer. The wings were special as well. I mean this place should be on top of the statue of liberty for gods sake
google avatar

Yelp
You are going to wait a while at Nancy's as the service is slow but friendly. It's has a dive bar feel that feels almost like a dungeon. Nonetheless, the pizza is phenomenal and worth the wait in my opinion if cooked correctly. It is on the extreme thin side of pizza so it goes down easily. Their fried ravioli is okay and it is accompanied by a nice red sauce. Their peanut butter dessert is good if you like chocolate and peanut butter. All in all I will come back for the pizza.
google avatar

Theresa W.

Yelp
Pizza was thin and crisp and delicious. Salad was an added plus with a home made Italian dressing that I could drink. Service was friendly but a little off with who was handling what table. Not super busy for a Saturday night at 7. Glad we went!

Yelp
Amazing Thin Crust Pizza and the Linguine with red clam sauce was as well. Very Old Fashioned, Played Elvis my favorite. Service was not the fastest but I really don't mind that and the workers were very nice. The ambiance inside was amazing I felt like I was in a gangster old fashioned movie.

Yelp
Yes incredible pizza and salad perfect place to be at . Old school vibe terrific wait staff

Yelp
Went my first time here bc a friend recommended. the pizza and service did not disappoint ! Got the grandma vodka pie that the waitress recommended! it was so yum! left me wanting more! and the ambiance was nice and chill! loved it ! most def will go again

Yelp
We ordered several appetizers, wine, 2 pizzas, and a children's menu option. The apps came out fine, then one pizza came out very burned. We waited over 10 minutes for the other pizza which looked cooked normally and not burned. When we were eating, we showed the waitress the difference in the 2 pizzas. She told us "yeah sometimes the oven cooks some of the pizzas like that". Um really? That's annoying because it's clearly a lie. We get the check and I am charged for 3 glasses of wine instead of 2. Skip this place. There's much better

Yelp
After reading the reviews and seeing this place on YouTube, we decided to give this place a try. We got here right as it opened and were immediately seated. There were a couple of tables already occupied. The restaurant is dimly lit, with crimson floors, tables covered in red-and-white plaid tablecloths, and a bar in the corner. Because we went during the holidays, there was also a Christmas tree in the back as well. The place had an incredibly cozy vibe and it was only emphasized further by the Mikasa lamps that illuminated the tables. We ordered the Veggie Pizza and Margherita pizza well done. Daughter also wanted calamari fra diablo with linguini. The Veggie pizza came with broccoli, sweet peppers, onions and mushrooms. Daughter thought the veggie pizza was delicious. Hubs usually doesn't prefer ultra thin pizza crust but he did like the taste over Pete and Eldas and Federici's, which he thinks are overrated. The Margherita pizza came with mozzarella, tomatoes, parmesan cheese, olive oil and basil. We ordered this well done. Hubs liked the sauce much better than all the other well known places and he would highly recommend this place for those who like ultra thin crust. I thought this pizza was delicious. It was nice and crispy but not too crispy. Daughter loved the calamari fra diablo and thought that it was delicious and soft. She thought it was spiced perfectly, as well. We also got the tiramisu to go and liked it a lot, as well. I forgot to take a picture of this. The prices on the check does not reflect the prices on the menu. They were slightly higher on the bill. Service was quick and friendly. Will definitely return to try other items on the menu.

Yelp
I came to Nancy's for a friend's birthday with a group of 9! We made a reservation ahead of time and there was a table ready for us when we came in. Once I saw the inside after walking down the stairs, it definitely gave off old dive bar vibes. We decided to order 5 pies to share amongst the group and the waitress seemed skeptical about the number we ordered. However, it turned out to be the perfect amount and we only had one slice remaining. The slices here are VERY thin (hence why we ordered appx half a pie per person). We got a plain, margarita, buffalo chicken, hot honey roni, and grandma pizza. The pizza came out pretty quickly in rounds and did not disappoint. My favorites were the plain and buffalo chicken and as a group, we weren't a huge fan of the margarita. The toppings on the pizza kept falling off, which made it difficult to eat. Otherwise, we had a great time at Nancy's and the service was great as well! We asked for a slice of tiramisu for the birthday boy and they kindly brought it out with a "0" candle, which we found hilarious. The restaurant began filling up around 6 pm, so I assume that it gets pretty busy, Overall, I would recommend Nancy's if you're looking for pizza in Rahway!

Yelp
When we got downstairs, nobody was there to see us and there was two tables with a reserve sign on them so I went up to the bar and I asked the girl if we could seat ourselves or should we wait and she looked annoyed, but then saw that there was a table available and sat us there. Calamari, zucchini sticks and mozz sticks were good. Now the pizza. This is my second time going there after I promised myself I would never go back there after the first time. But everybody raves about their thin crust pizza. I'm Italian. I feel like that's all. I actually have to say when I tell you that this is not, an Italian pizza in my opinion I used to make homemade pizza with my Grandma and our pizza never looked like this. The pizza had decent flavor but the crust?!?!?! The first time I ate here I told my friend that the crust was like a big saltine cracker. Today I've changed my description. It was like a well done pita chip. The service was OK. Even though I finished my glass of wine, I was never asked if I wanted another glass of wine or anything else to drink. Before we were even finished eating, the waitress handed me a box and a container on this already small table and I wasn't done eating. So I was holding the box while I was eating , my food. We weren't asked if we wanted any dessert. We were literally just given the check. I do want to make a note that this is not a handicap friendly place. When you walk in the door, you have to go down a flight of steps to get into the restaurant. There is a bathroom downstairs where you eat, but I didn't have any toilet paper in there today so basically you were SOL. Twice and that's it. Done w Nancy's.
google avatar

Shailesh P.

Yelp
If you are craving thin crust pizza this is the place for you. Pizza is very well done, thin and light. Best if had at the restaurant itself. Service was great, we had couple of drinks and appetizers while we waited for our cheese pie takeout. It's a small cozy bar and was very less crowded on Thursday evening. Would love to visit again to try their other pizza.
google avatar

Natty C.

Yelp
Old school place that has such character. Hidden gem in Rahway. I came because of Portnoy's review. Amazing pizza, super thin and crispy. Great service!
google avatar

Steve F.

Yelp
Food is great. The atmosphere is cool. The service was pretty bad. If you have a lot of time on your hands, it is worth to try.
google avatar

Hunter B.

Yelp
I came here and parked in the back. I entered and went downstairs to this bar area. It was giving off dive bar vibes and I got a small cheese pizza. I would give it a 7.4, just a basic pizza where nothing really stands out in terms of the ingredients but it is not bad. I probably would not go back for their pizza again.
google avatar

Derek P.

Yelp
Pizza and food definitely lives up to the hype. Staff are extremely friendly and on top of everything making sure the customers are well taken care of . Dave Portnoy's review was definitely on point as I know he is a bar pie guy . Next time I am in from Tampa, Florida I will definitely be coming back as I will be recommending Nancy's to my friends and family .

Craig S.

Yelp
Great little place. Make sure you have a reservation though. Great service and prices too. Wings were really good, but the pizza obviously was the star. The wings were nice and saucy and the chicken was actually cooked perfectly. A lot of times you go somewhere and the wings are rubbery or tough to bite off. These were perfect, not really crispy as I like them, but flavor and tenderness more than made up for that. The pizza is delicious. Crust is nice and thin and crispy with a nice char flavor around the edges. 2 people will easily polish off a large pie so order accordingly. Parking deck right across the street if you can't find a spot in their small lot.

Mike

Yelp
Service was the worst. OneOnetur before we got the food. We were the 1st table to be seated and 5 other tables got served before we did and all we were having was pizza and drinks.

Brian C.

Yelp
May 13, 2025 I heard that Nancy's made a good thin crust pie. My experience did not live up to the hype. The bread was awful. You couldn't fold it without it cracking. It was tomato and cheese on a cracker. I asked the barmaid if this was the norm. From her reaction, it must be. I took three bits, asked for my check and left. I stopped elsewhere to get some food with flavor.
google avatar

Nicole P.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious! Best thin crust ever! Good cocktail and love the old school vibe
google avatar

Michael J.

Yelp
Called, placed an order, and showed up 40 minutes later and they acted like they had no idea what l was talking about. They never started to make the pizza. They offered to start making it. I initially declined, only to realize I was already there and had all of my time wasted so if we were going to have to start all over getting food for the night, might as well just do it there instead of wasting more time ordering from someplace else, as long as they were willing to start the order right away. She said right away. The pizza was very good. This place looks too busy for what it can handle. They probably make a good buck or two with all that business. It is time to start investing some of that money back into the business to handle demand.

Lenore J.

Yelp
Been going to Nancy's for so many years I have lost count. Love the old time feeling. The thin crust pizza is the best ever!!! Our waitress Casey is outstanding!!
google avatar

Yelp
Dive bar for sure!! Old. Nothing fancy or updated. Pizza was good but small for the price. Service was friendly.

Yelp
The food, the service, and the ambience were amazing! This is going to be a regular spot for us now!

Yelp
Okay, now before I begin, I know some of you will sincerely disagree with my review. But it is MY experience and I tell it like it is (or was). On a "not so busy" weekday, my wife and I visited to enjoy some great pizza which we had experienced there over the last 15 years or so. Not to be this time. We ordered two pies. One with bacon and one with eggplant as well as an appetizer of Buffalo Calamari. The service was prompt, friendly and efficient. No problem there. The Calamari came out in a POOL of Buffalo Sauce which made the coating come off the calamari and make one soupy mess. The calamari was very tough as well. Not a good experience. My wife had one piece and pushed it aside. ($14.50 plus a side of blue cheese that was .75 EXTRA. Ridiculous!) The pizza wait wasn't as long as it usually takes. And we were looking forward to it. The pizza was not even that hot and was COMPLETELY TASTELESS! TASTELESS! Both pies! I'm not sure what the hell was going on or what has changed. But it was bland and dry and I had to salt the hell out of it to bring some kind of taste to it. NOT what I have experienced in the past. We both ate a few slices and took the rest home which eventually made it to the trash. We left $111.18 later very disappointed. Also, I may add, that they add a 3.0% Charge Card Service Fee. Now, I understand that almost ALL restaurants charge a CREDIT CARD fee, but do NOT charge a fee on DEBIT CARDS which I used. BANKS do not charge for the use of their cards but credit card companies do. So they made an additional $2.55. That's not going to bankrupt me... It's just the point and something that many consumers do not realize and restaurants get away with. Now, I now that Dave Portnoy (Barstool Sports) gave an 8.8 rating on their pizza. Fair enough. IF he had the pie that I experienced in years past. His rating, I'm sure, brought in an extraordinary amount of business. Good for them! I'm not sure what has changed there or what made this night so bad. Did they change the sauce? Cheese? Cook? Pizza maker? Who knows. I NEVER complain to the staff at a restaurant or send food back. I've have a vast amount of restaurant and cooking experience to know better. I hope that this was just a "bad night" for the place and this does not continue. Also, If anyone else has had the same experience. I always loved this place and would hate to see it go down hill.

Debbie M.

Yelp
We sincerely LOVE Nancy's! The food is great and we are always lucky enough to have Ariel as our server-she is so lovely and the food is great! I myself manage a restaurant and have made sure people come here because it's a treasure

Joseph A C.

Yelp
ok what I'm about to do is give you my opinion on what I thought of there pizza, I wanted to try it because of all the talk on facebook, I try places that are recommended on facebook, most pizza and sub shops. now the pizza had a very good taste to it, I ordered a large with onions and garlic well done. there was plenty of what I had them put on it. the size and the price was very good, now for the crust, to me it was to thin and when you were getting to the end the crust crumbled like a stale cookie , wasn't pleased with that. it was a nice pie other then what I thought of the crust. please remember this was my opinion of my thoughts. all those who enjoyed it you keep on enjoying what you like have a great day. New Jersey Joe.
google avatar

Michelle B.

Yelp
Best Pizza in New Jersey. We had a cheese pie , shrimp and pasta entree and house salad. Flavors and food were on pointe ! Can't say enough about the super serversd

Phil H.

Yelp
The pizza and wings are top notch the bartenders were attentive and the downstair bar has a great feel...if you pick a time when they aren't overpacked you'll get a better overall meal but it is always really good to great
google avatar

Karina F.

Yelp
Delicious thin slice pizza but if you don't have a reservation, there's no chance you'll be seated.
google avatar

Alan L.

Yelp
Very thin pizza in a comfortable room. The thin pizza is available with a variety of toppings. The restaurant can get crowded, try to make a reservation. The beer selection is good.
google avatar

Nick C.

Yelp
Went to Nancy's Towne House for a late lunch after helping somebody move some furniture. It had been on my radar after seeing a review from Barstool Sports. It's a really old school spot. It looks like it hasn't changed at all since it opened. A lot of the tables were reserved, but since we came right after opening at 4pm, it wasn't too packed. For an appetizer, we go the sampler, which came with mozzarella sticks, zucchini sticks, calamari, and wings. They were all pretty good. The pizza was great. The crust was super thin, but with a light dusting of flour. It's a bar pie. Sauce was good, cheese was good. It was more cheese than sauce, but the sauce was strong enough to be noticeable. Pizza Score: 8.2/10
google avatar

Jess D.

Yelp
I always have a great experience when I come to Nancy's. The food and service is always great. I love the old school, small feel of the restaurant. Can't go wrong with any pizza you choose!
google avatar

Shreya K.

Yelp
I am a boneless chicken wing gal at heart, very rarely do I order bone-in wings, let alone with buffalo sauce. But Nancy's chicken wings had me re-evaluating my stance. These are hands down some of the best wings I've tasted- super crispy, packed with flavor and the chicken practically falls off the bone. I also had the Drunken Grandma Pizza, which was a bit too soggy in my opinion. I imagine a plain cheese pie is a better option since their pizza crust is very thin. The restaurant is pretty small so if you come during peak hours, expect a long wait for the table (even with a reservation) and slow service. Regardless, Nancy's is definitely worth a visit for the wings!

Kelly S.

Yelp
Pizza was thin and crunchy. Did not like the crust. The size of the pizza was smaller than expected. Sauce was good.
google avatar

Donna V.

Yelp
Second visit was even better than the first. The pizza is absolutely delicious. Could eat here every day. Staff is very friendly also.
google avatar

Donna M.

Yelp
This pizza is just so so good. We didn't have a reservation but we came in on a Friday afternoon around 3:30ish and most of the tables already had reserved signs on them. Love the vibe of this place and the pizza is so thin and delicious. If you like a really thin pie, it's perfect. Had the buffalo wings which were ok but the pizza is the star. Waitresses are friendly and the service is ok. If you don't have a reservation, be patient and expect to wait. Or just make the reservation and enjoy yourself! (Haven't been here in years and the pizza is as good or better than I remembered. Love a place that's consistent!)

Reuven K.

Yelp
We came here because some pizza rating site rated their pizzas pretty high. The pizza was very good, but nothing special. Most of the customers seemed like regulars. What knocked off a star was the poor service. We had to ask at least twice for most anything. You would think that especially when you ask for a high margin item such as a beer, it would come very quickly. But, we had to ask multiple times before another beer was delivered. We had the same issue with getting refills of soda. And, one of the ordered appetizers never came out. Overall, not bad, but definitely not worth going out of your way for.

Yelp
Just one word. AWESOME!!!!! Great pizza never a bad pie. Decor is from when they first opened and it doesn't make a difference.

Yelp
Can't believe we had never been. Classic old school bar/restaurant. Best clam pie I've had in Jersey. Thin, tasty, crispy. Tasty French onion soup and a nice selection of beers and cocktails. Great food, great vibe.
