Nando's is a lively Homestead eatery serving up massive Venezuelan meat platters, playful vibes, and peppy live music under a giant palapa.
"You’re coming to Nando for three things: music, meat, and a palapa that could double as a hangar for a 747. This outdoor Homestead spot is the best place in Miami to slowly graze on Venezuelan parrilla while sipping a pina colada out of a frozen pineapple. The carne en vara, carved fresh off big metal skewers, is served on family platters that can feed your family—even if your family are 11-foot-tall lumberjacks who’ve just chopped down the world’s biggest tree. Nando’s Homestead location is only open Saturday and Sunday, which just so happens to be ideal days to get meat drunk while clapping along to live Venezuelan music and dancers that shimmy between tables." - ryan pfeffer, virginia otazo, mariana trabanino
"If you love eating parrilla in a giant palapa while an electric harp shreds in the background, Nando is for you. This spot just west of the zoo makes the best Venezuelan carne en vara we’ve had in Miami. You can bring every person on your contacts list here and you’ll still leave with leftovers. There are multiple massive combo platters full of steak, pork ribs, cachapas, and more piled high on lazy susans. The meat is marinated in salt and grilled “en la vara” (cooked on a rod and over an open flame), so it’s tender, juicy, and seasoned just right. Nando also has pony rides, live music, dancers, and a bounce house, so it’s great for kids. But things get wild at night when the music turns up (and so does the crowd). "Nando is a massive palapa in Homestead that blends live music and red meat beautifully. This is a perfect spot to bring a humongous family—from the babies through the abuelas. There are massive combo platters full of enough beef to feed them all, areas where the kids can play, and a live band that will successfully distract mom and dad from asking you when you’re going to give them some grandchildren. The later things get, the more this place starts to feel like one big hora loca. " - ryan pfeffer, mariana trabanino
