Greggs Gives Stormzy Black Card for Free Vegan Sausage Rolls | Eater London

"A casual dining chicken chain runs a similar “black card” program that reportedly grants winners a year’s worth of chicken; high-profile holders, said to include Ed Sheeran, demonstrate how celebrity-linked perks are used to generate buzz without necessarily offering lifetime privileges." - James Hansen

Google
randomly i visited here to taste panipuri and samosa chat. Really it was amazing so good taste, service was very polite and friendly people here. i won’t eat yogurt, but in samosa chat they added yogurt, and i spoken with them, immediately they responded and gave me another samosa chat in friendly manner. i strongly recommend this place to try here. Thanks for the service and tasty food

Our wedding day was unforgettable, and a big part of that was the amazing food from Nanduji. They truly exceeded every expectation. What impressed us the most was that they prepared tomato soup for the very first time, and it turned out exceptional. It was rich, smooth, and full of flavor—our guests couldn’t believe it was their debut attempt. Their mini dabeli and Chinese starters were absolute showstoppers. Nanduji’s dedication, creativity, and attention to detail truly shined through every dish. Many of our guests told us it was some of the best food they’ve ever had at a wedding. Thank you, Nanduji, for adding so much joy and flavor to our special day. Highly recommended!

Google
True to its name “100% home made”. I tried their Pani Puri and it was just reminded me of Mumbai’s pani puri, a taste hard to find abroad. Amazing taste, ambience, service and cleanliness. Must try!

Sagar R.

Google
Food quality has deteriorated over time, they used to have vadapav similar to mumbai style but now it feels oily lump with butter coated bread. Authenticity of mumbai vadapav is completely missing now. Also, new thing I learned today from lady who takes order, I can only have one spoon of red chutney powder for 6 vada pav. Reason what I was told by lady in front: they don't sell chutney.

Google
It’s a small hole in the wall kinda spot but doesn’t miss the mark when it comes to food. I tried their pav bhaji and pulav platter; I was surprised how tasty both the dishes were. I wasn’t expecting much as I have never really had luck getting good pav bhaji anywhere. After a party left, we were able to eat-in other wise there’s not a lot of place for dine in.

Google
Last weekend we catered food from the restaurant for my daughters birthday, food was delicious and fresh. All of our guests enjoyed the meal everything was made with full of flavor. We had Kaju curry, Dal fry, Cheese masala pav, rice, kulcha with appetizers and dessert. Everything turned out great and my guest kept on appreciating the hospitality. I will recommend the restaurant for the private event to my friends and family.

Google
Ordered tawa pulao pav bhaji platter and pani puri. (spicy) Def agree with some other reviews that it tastes homemade and comforting. not greasy. Good portion! Next time i’ll request the pav bhaji to be spicy too, the pani puri was!

Google
Nandoo's is THE place for chaat in Jersey City... Over the years I've had the pleasure of trying practically everything on the menu. The Dabelis are honestly even better than the ones you get in Mumbai. They're sweet and spicy and so buttery. The dahi puri and samosa chaat are hands down my favourites. Especially having the cooling yogurty dahi puri on a hot summer's day is absolute bliss. The only thing that disappointed me in this order was the Bombay grill sandwich. They've increased the price and decreased the size. And it's not as cheesy as it used to be. So that sucked. But everything else is an absolute must try.

Yelp
Doesn't look like much but it packs quite a punch. Quite a lot of university students visit this place. We stopped here for breakfast and picked up Grilled Veg Sandwich and Grilled Aloo Mutter sandwich. The food was INCREDIBLE. The produce were fresh! You can even taste the fresh butter of their breads. Overall, we were able to taste the passion in those sandwiches. I'd recommend this spot and for sure I will be stopping there again when am in the neighborhood. Would definitely recommend you support this amazing business when you are in the neighborhood!

Yelp
On one of the hottest days of 2025, walking from Journal Square to Nandoo's felt like the trek from Dadar Station to Ashok Vada Pav. Raaste mein ganne ka juice bhi peene ki zaroorat thi. Unfortunately the similarities ended there, as the sandwich this canteen style eatery pedals as a "Vada pav" is no such thing. There was zero crust or crunch to the Vada itself, and the sandwich was practically flat. They didn't even give a piece of hari mirch on the side. So why still 3 stars? Whatever this sandwich was, it wasn't bad, perhaps thanks to the copious amounts of butter they had slathered onto the pav.

Yelp
I had the 3 in 1 sandwich which had a number of toppings - potato, vegetables, cheese, and cheese jam. The sandwich was nice with the accompanying chutney. I might try a grilled sandwich next time instead - I think a warm sandwich and crispy bread would be more satisfying. It's a solid quick meal for about $10.

Yelp
New favorite place in Little India. Working my way through their menu but everything has been delicious so far. Love their pani puri.

Yelp
I guess the word is finally out about how good Nandoo's is. I can see four years ago Dahi Puri (my favorite) cost only $4.99. Two years ago it was up to $5.99. Today I paid $7.99, but it was worth it. The Dahi puri here is honestly the best I've found in Little India. There are layers of sauces and seasonings, all topped with fresh ingredients. It's a fine balance to keep the puri just a bit crunchy when it's drenched in green chutney, tamarind sweet sauce, and Dahi/curd. I love that each plate of this is made to order and dressed with chopped fresh red onion, fresh diced tomatoes, and covered in a nice helping of cilantro. The sev provides an added crunch that's needed with all the liquids. This is for sure a fork and spoon meal for me. This time I arrived after 6pm and I was told that chai was done for the day. I was also told samosas were done, but samosa pav was available...perplexing? (I'll take the upsell, just give me the samosa)! This is only a counter restaurant. There's maybe space for 8 people max inside. They clearly do good business with their to go. I waited about 15 minutes for my order to come up and about 6 couriers came through for pickups. Most people who order there, stay and eat at the counter. It's well set up as a fast food option. One tip is that it's more affordable if you pay in cash. Idk what the fee is, but cash also allows you to tip, which people eating in should consider.

Yelp
Tried their vada pav today it's ok. All who are claiming this to be best vada pav must try Desi Galaxy vada pav in Iselin NJ. Vada pav here is no where close to what you'll experience in Desi Galaxy. Within Jersey city this is a good vada pav but not the best.

Yelp
This review is only about their Samosa Chaat. Located off Newark Ave, you might miss it but they have the best Samosa Chaat I have had. It's way better than Rasoi & Ragbog. It's a small unnoticeable hole in the wall that doesn't stand out but big flavor, they are closed one of the week. I have always consistently gotten the samosa chaat whenever I don't feel like getting chicken, I was there on a Wednesday & they were closed so I got a serving from Rasoi & another serving from Ragbog, was hedging my bet, they were both way disappointing compared to this place, I am not Indian but I used to eat a lot of Vegetarian food at Ragbog before covid because of their seating & their price was reasonable & I was satisfied with their Samosa Chaat until I had it at Nandoos, now those other places just taste bland & soggy in comparison.

Yelp
It is always my goal to go to new places when I visit New Jersey, specially Indian Street. I had heard stories about how the owner decided to open this place after other local restaurants opposed their small business and how this place became a local hit. They have limited food for the day (tea was over by 7.30pm). So, the earlier you place the order the better. The wait time to get the food was about 30-40 minutes. You can either eat at their standing tables or take food to go. o We ordered: Dabeli - This was a recommended dish on Yelp. I liked it, except that it was missing pomegranate seeds, not a big deal though as it still tasted great. Vada Pav - When I ordered it my expectation was Mumbai Vada pav, unfortunately, this was more like a Bun and Aloo patty (probably a Gujarati vada pav, and NOTHING like Mumbai Vada Pav. Grilled Sandwich - A thumbs up, reminded me of Mumbai grilled sandwich, it was delicious. Pav Bhaji (2 pav) - I need one more plate, right now! Do not think twice, please just order. I have nothing more to add. Highly recommended. Go get some good food.

Yelp
Amazing food, prompt services, polished the food in 15 mins, delicious! Overall had a great experience, would highly recommend!

Yelp
Food is as usual great but service is terrible. It feels like these ppl don't know how to run a business. The ladies there are very impolite, they are always understaffed, nobody picks up the phone there so you cannot order ahead so you are forced to wait for your order to be ready. If you order something like grilled sandwich or Pav bhaji then be prepared to wait for an hour for your order to be ready. The place is very small so you cannot have a sit down meal and along with that the ppl who come to the store are not mindful of boundaries and social distancing. Taking a detox from this establishment as well until they come up with a good business strategy.
google avatar

Jil K.

Yelp
They serve the best dabeli and vadapav in town. They are cash only so make sure to take cash with you when you visit them. Their dabeli pavs are spongy and the filing is so flavorful. The wait time to pickup your food is usually around 25-30 minutes after you have placed the order. This is the only place where my gujju craving for a perfect dabeli is satisfied!
google avatar

Akshata K.

Yelp
Probably one of the best vada pav's I have had even rowdy rooster that's so hyped up has nothing on this. I have tried the vada pav and the samosa pav and both are amazing! Must try!! Keep in mind they don't have any seating though.
google avatar

Yelp
Nandoo's is still popular and busy with the locals and it still gets 5-Star from me! My partner and I usually get Bombay Grill and Pav Bhaji and Chai (THE BEST!!) but we've also tried Chole Kulche (what I got tonight), Dabeli, and Samosa Pav before which are all very tasty. This is not a fancy sit-down place but everyone here is super hard working and friendly. I've always been greeted with smiles here and it's so clear that Nandoo's really cares about delivering authentic and delicious comfort food at accessible prices, unlike some other Indian joints on Newark Ave. that are only interested in squeezing as much $ out of naive tourists. This place is one of those hidden gems that I selfishly want to keep as a secret to myself but I genuinely hope Nandoo's continues to be successful, especially during this challenging period of Covid19, and I would recommend it to anyone in search of good food when in JC India Sq.! Just one suggestion would be the place is pretty small and can get crowded when everyone is waiting for their orders so please be respectful of other people and try your best to social distance. I usually make my order and either wait outside or walk around the block for 15-25 min while waiting for my order.

Moon K.

Yelp
I love the food from here. The staff is friendly and also they have updated the way you could now order food at the window because before it would get confusing on where to order and who will take the order. Will recommend this place to everyone!
google avatar

Rashmin D.

Yelp
I tried some items from this restaurant when they did not have a restaurant, they were operating from a food cart. And Later multiple times from the restaurant too. Best things to try: vada pav, veg sandwiches. Location: close to Newark Ave. Busy. Parking: not available. Space: no seating area. Small space.
google avatar

Nihar K.

Yelp
Best dabeli ever - hands down! No place comes even close to Dabeli from Nandoo's. I used to miss authentic dabeli from India and could not have been happier to find this place. Other good options include pav bhaji, vada pav and Bombay grill sandwich. Must visit place - amazing comfort food. They now also accept credit card!
google avatar

Lajja M.

Yelp
They serve the best dabeli, vadapav and pav bhaji. This is "take out"only place and accepts cash only so make sure you have cash on hand when you go there. A must try place who loves Indian street food!!
google avatar

Zil D.

Yelp
Small place with a limited things in the menu. But all the things are made to the best. I would love going to the place again. I recommend this place . Especially the dabeli and the panipuri. They are also serving pani puri with hot ragda. Loved it.

Manish P.

Yelp
Beware of this place. There is a menu hanged on top of the cash counter. You order one item e.g Vada Pav or Pani Puri. Price $6.99 dine in and you are paying cash. At the payment window the guy will put $7.27 + tax = $7.48 (something like this). Now when you ask why receipt does not have 6.99 and Mr. Nandoo's cash guy will try to fool you saying this is base price + tax. You ask why not $6.99 then he will again answer the same. Moral of the story: The price on the menu and what they actually charge is different. May be a new money making scheme? Sounds awful. Now the food part: I tried many items earlier from this place. And I think Vada Pav, Daabeli and Pani Puri are worth eating. The big ticket items like Choley Kulcha: Please do not waste your money. It is absolute blunder. The Kulcha seems store bought frozen readymade. Very chewy. The Choley is a joke. It taste like chickpea GARLIC curry. Bhelpuri is another waste of money item. This guy don't know how to make bhelpuri. So spare this place if you don't want to get fooled.
google avatar

Ronak P.

Yelp
Oh good lord finally I found you! Your service SUCKS! You have horrendous attitude and it has happened many time, I keep calling and they won't pick up so only one option you have is go to their place and order. When I asked no one is picking phone and their reply is, "when we are busy we don't pick phone" haha! That's the reason I STOPPED grabbing the food from here Your food is authentic and delicious but your management is UTTERLY RIDICULOUS AND I WISH I COULD GIVE NEGATIVE RATINGS
google avatar

Ankush D.

Yelp
Nandoo's Dabeli is Mumbai nostalgia in a paav. I have been living and tasting food in the states for over a decade and nothing comes close to Mumbai Dabeli like Nandoo's. Love it! Thanks a lot for keeping it so authentic.

Ankit I.

Yelp
Great Indian street food. We have had sandwiches, samosa pav, pani poori etc. Best of all the staff and owner here is cordial. Note this is mostly a pickup place.
google avatar

Aria S.

Yelp
At 9pm a full hour before they close they ran out of almost all the food and didn't answer their phone saying they are very busy. That's the problem with Indian places they want to run the whole restaurant on a shoe string budget. Why keep the place open if you're all out of food. Pathetic. No wonder these places start with a hole in the wall and fade into oblivion.
google avatar

Mr. A K.

Yelp
Vada pay is sub par. All they do is put chutney on bred, overheat the vada pav in the microwave which you can literally see and serve it. The vada pav doesn't have much taste except some stuffed potatoes. Dabeli was good although no one else in our group liked it either. Definitely lacks both flavor and spice imho.
google avatar

Chandni P.

Yelp
Love love love their vada pav.. the chutneys are perfect! The Dabeli needs work and their veg grill sandwich was below par. Need to try the rest of the menu but excellent service ( even tho it's just a hand off) cash only!! Which kinda sucks but worth it for The best vada pav I've had in NJ.
google avatar

Onil M.

Yelp
Best vadapav and dabeli available in whole NJ and NY state, taste is very authentic and close to the food we get back in india. Even their pav-bhaji and pani puri are top notch . I recommend this place and thankful to owners to provide such a taste and quality.

Arya S.

Yelp
Had Paneer lawabdar, dal fry and jeera rice a couple days ago. 10/10 will have it again :)
google avatar

Ridhhisha A.

Yelp
I am from mumbai and I can very well say their pav bhaji is hands down the best i have eaten in on jersey city. It's very authentic and flavourful. Really enjoyed it.

Adith k.

Yelp
I ordered the vadapav. Although it wasn't a pav but in a bun, it tasted great. The right amount of spice and salt.
google avatar

Akanksha C.

Yelp
Very bad service. In spite of the food being great and all, the service is pathetic. They take almost an hour to make just 1 order. Terrible and impolite staff who gives a sarcastic comment whenever asked if the order is ready

Vinay O.

Yelp
Order cheese dabeli today at 5:30 .... Let me tell folks the quality .... The potato filling inside cold , cheese wasn't shredded properly there were lot big chunks & bread was stale for $13:30 . The staff was on face time wasn't paying mins on quality !!!! All I like to say don't buy from nandoos not recommend this is happened 2nd time and I been going there since they open.owner should focus on quality and should care about the customer money as well . Very poor quality & experience I seen girl grabbing the already made dabeli from the tray & throw some cheese like giving out for very not hygienic at alll . Save your money ... don't get robbed & get sick having old food please
google avatar

Dewan A.

Yelp
Food here is excellent. However, big issue is they are cash only. Sometime I want to eat here, but don't because they are cash only. I hate carrying cash. But, their food is excellent. They specialize in western Indian street food like dabeli and vada pav. I recommend you try both. Very good.
google avatar

Anshul S.

Yelp
This is one of the finest Indian food joints in jersey city. A small food parlour that has the finest authentic indian sandwiches along with chaat , dabeli and other indian street-style food. I would very strongly recommend anyone visiting the newark avenue of jersey city to try this place over any other restaurant. You will love it. P.S. The prices are incredible. It is almost surreal to have something that nice at that price.
google avatar

Jinesh P.

Yelp
Food is ok I had this experience 3rd time when I say I want extra extra extra spicy still they make it sweet
google avatar

Lisnel V.

Yelp
This place is absolutely DeLiCiOuSssss! I came here with one of my best friends, Mira, who is my personal guide to Indian food. She is 100% vegetarian since birth so sometimes it can be difficult finding a place to eat for us both: This place does more than satisfy. The food is so delicious and the staff are so sweet! I had a lengthy conversation with one of the owners (Mr. Morris) regarding his time spent in my family's native country, Dominican Republic. I was so impressed because he spoke spanish VERY well. You feel a sense of community here. I wish there was seating to spend more time but I understand the intent of it being an In and Out eatery. The food is so fresh - my personal favorite is the Wada Pav and the Grilled Cheese. If you're feeling some great local Indian grub to grab and go and possibly chill - go here! Highly recommended! Thank you Mr. Morris and Mr. Nandu - I hope to see you soon!
google avatar

Mira R.

Yelp
So I am absolutely addicted to this spot and the staff has become my new family. I love everything on their menu. Wada pav with cheese are my favorite and all other sandwich type items too. I recently got to try their pav bhaji which is not sold at the store yet but I was given a sample to try. It was delicious! Perfect amount of spices and butter. I think it will be my go to item once they start selling it at the store! I am super grateful for Nandoo's and I hope one day they will expand to Queens

Stormy D.

Yelp
It's hard to love mashed potato between buns- but mumbais street vendors magically transform it to something crave-worthy- the crispy vada texturally contrasting soft pav, a customary pair of incendiary green chilies criss-crossing the starchy medley. As the vada pao craving zombies struggle into Nandoos, it takes just one bite to be completely cured forever!! No, it' must not have been a thing, this limp potato pattie with repurposed mini buns, is this what it was?? What about the green chili- not in our recipe the dullard Nandoo says! Indeed this insipid re-imagination of the thing is a perfect permanent cure. We all leave in a hurry, spring in step, cured from the notion that vada pav was ever a thing to crave!

Jenil S.

Yelp
A really good Mom-and-Pop shop on Indian Street for fast food such as Dabeli, Vadapau, Dahi Puri and Chole. One of the must try restaurant if you're looking for authentic Indian taste.
google avatar

Vaishnavy P.

Yelp
Such great sandwiches! Reminds me of the ones you get in India. Sandwich take away would be perfect for a picnic day at the park! Samosa chat was one of the tastiest I've had.

Ram V.

Yelp
Amazing food and service. Cheap but quality is upto par. Service was quick and everything was fresh.
google avatar

Dev S.

Yelp
Amazing! Reminded me of Ahmedabad as soon as I took my first bite. Reasonable. Authentic. Delicious!!!

Dipen J.

Yelp
This joint serves authentic Indian food!!! Reminds me of my mom's cooking. Everything here is good but my favorite is dabeli and vada pav. A must spot to try in Jersey city.

Rishabh S.

Yelp
Nandoo's is not only amazing for daily meals but it is great for catering as well. We had our baby shower catering done from Nandoo's. We ordered Pav Bhaji and pulav, they were kind enough to deliver. Overall it was a great experience, they are one of the rare restaurants who still make Jain pav bhaji using bananas instead of potato's. I would definitely recommend catering and daily meals from Nandoo's

Pooja V.

Yelp
My favourite here is spicy vada pav and samosa chat, even papdi chat. Totally amazing. amazing and friendly staff. I have eaten easily more than 25 times here , the food is always fresh and clean. My to go place.

Sheth N.

Yelp
A must-have place for vada pav. I have had vada pav at different places in the states but I loved this place. Felt like I am having vada pav in Ahmedabad. So much similar and superb taste. I am waiting for my next visit to this place.

Nelson Y.

Yelp
My wife and I were craving for Indian food and came across this lovely family shop serving Puri. Couldn't help giving a try and get addicted right away. They have a relatively short menu but everything on it is amazing. The breads and curry they serve with Pao Bhaji and Chole Kulche are just as delicious as the puri's.

Parth M.

Yelp
Being a vegetarian, I have been fortunate enough to stay near Indian Street. I have tried every Indian restaurant, but when we talk about Mumbai chat - no one can beat Nandoo's. It gives you a Mumbai vibe with the taste of each and every item on their menu (I have tried everything). I would definitely suggest Dabeli, Papdi Chat and Bombay Grill. Also, the staff members makes you feel like family with their happy faces and friendly services. It is surely a go-to place whenever I pass through Indian street and grab a Dabeli even when I am full!

Kuishan K.

Yelp
This place serves the best authentic delicious Indian variety of food. I go there again and again as it is not enough one time. I highly recommend this place as it is affordable and delicious

Saloni S.

Yelp
My go to place every time I am in jersey city, which is every week. DO NOT miss out on any dish. Highly highly recommend the place. The best Indian Fast food place that there is. Place is always busy and flossing with people which tells so much about the place. Take yourself along with the family. Love the friendly behavior of everybody working there. Love it:))
