Justin Trudeau Enjoyed Trishna’s Michelin-Starred Indian Food in London | Eater London

"A Camberwell branch of the national chicken chain that was reportedly reserved in full by Rio and Kate Ferdinand for a family-and-friends Christmas feast, illustrating how even casual national brands can host large private celebrity gatherings." - Guy Pewsey

Disappointed… to say the very least. I honestly would’ve given this place 4 or even 5 stars if the order had been cooked and presented properly, but my last two experiences here have been nothing short of frustrating and underwhelming. It’s a real shame, because this used to be one of my go-to spots, but standards have clearly slipped, and it’s hard to justify spending money on food that feels rushed and carelessly prepared. Let’s start with the gravy. If it weren’t for the fact that it came packaged in a box within a box, it would’ve gone absolutely everywhere. The tub hadn’t been properly sealed, and because of that, most of the gravy ended up leaking out and pooling inside the outer box. Luckily, the outer packaging is reasonably sturdy and contained most of the mess, but that’s not the point it simply shouldn’t have happened in the first place. The entire reason gravy is put in a sealed tub is to prevent this exact issue. It’s disappointing to see such basic attention to detail being overlooked, and it makes the meal feel messy and unprofessional before you even get to the food itself. Next, the “extra saucy” wings. I ordered these with certain expectations, especially after seeing how they’re presented online. What I received, however, looked and tasted nothing like the photos or the description. They were completely lacking in sauce and flavour dry, bland, and nowhere near “extra saucy.” Even if the yogurt sauce was removed (which I chose to do), that shouldn’t have made such a huge difference. The term “extra saucy” suggests the wings themselves should be coated in a generous amount of sauce, something sticky, rich, and full of flavour not a few lightly seasoned wings that taste like they were an afterthought. I genuinely can’t see what separates these from the regular wings, and it feels misleading to label them as “extra saucy” when they clearly aren’t. Then there’s the sweetcorn side dish. This was perhaps the biggest disappointment of all, because it’s something I’ve enjoyed here before. On previous orders, it’s always come warm maybe microwaved briefly, but still fresh, comforting, and well-seasoned. This time, it was completely cold, straight out of the fridge. The difference was night and day. Cold sweetcorn mixed with onion, seasoning, and mayo just doesn’t work; it loses all the appeal and texture that make it a nice side dish in the first place. It honestly felt like no care was taken in preparing it, as though it was just scooped out of a container and served without checking. When you combine all these things together the spilt gravy, the underwhelming wings, and the cold side dish it paints a picture of a kitchen and team that aren’t paying attention to quality or consistency. That’s the most disappointing part, because I know from experience this place can be good. But the past two orders have been such a let-down that I don’t think I’ll be ordering from this particular branch again. There are plenty of other locations that manage to serve the same food properly, without the mess, the confusion, or the lack of care. Overall, it’s a really below-par experience. Even giving 3 stars feels generous at this point, because while the food is edible, the overall execution and quality control just aren’t there. I genuinely hope they read reviews like this and take them seriously, because it wouldn’t take much effort to fix these issues — just a bit more attention to detail, consistency, and care. Until that happens though, I’ll be going elsewhere for my meals.

I was there on 31/10/2025. Table 18, after 6.30pm The resturant was empty by nandos standards on a Friday evening, infact I could count all the guests with the fingers on both hands. I ordered using my phone and my drink came quickly then there was a delay of 20mins... no starter had arrived ..neither had my food. I ask the waitress what's happening with my order as I'm concerned an empty nandos was taking so long to prepare my meal...in a nonchalant way she went off to check... Anyway she comes back with my main course... I asked her where my starter was? She asked what I had ordered? Isn't it nandos business to know what food a guest has ordered? Anyway she went off again and came back with my starter.... 2 problems... the starter was now cold, and now I was having to eat my starter with the main course. There's also a security guard patrolling the resturant... so maybe that an idea of what kind of nandos this is as I don't believe I've ever seen security at a nandos before... All in all for a resturant that wasn't busy at all, 4/10

Nice little place a third of the way up the hill. Moana (sorry Moana, I couldn't remember your actual name. Woana didn't come up on Google) and the team were kind and the food was fab. I think you'd left by the time you left. I still would like table service. And the POS should be updated to allow staff tipping by card. Even our small pub chain of three can cope with it. It's 2025 and cash is dying every day. Mains for six and soft drinks for four for £101. Would definitely go back. Nick and the 5 others from table 22, 8pm ish 3/12/25

Got takeaway from this Nando’s and it was very nice. The Churrasco burger was good but quite spicy. the new mac and cheese is pretty nice. Chips were good. The only thing is the takeaway wait is quite long (20-25 mins). But apart from that all good and they were friendly

Decently priced food in a cleanly and bustling environment. The chicken was a bit dry but can be dressed with sauce; however, the Mac n Cheese was delicious and filling. Get a burger or piece of chicken with a side or three and you’ll be good.

Went for my son's birthday as he likes Nando's. I personally could take it or leave it, but it's great for those who like it. The space is quite large, and the views are great over Camberwell Weather permitting, there is a great outside area as well On this day we had great service with one staff coming out of their way to accommodate my young son with his wrong order

Staff were helpful and polite, probably the best I've been to. Food came out quick and was happy with everything. Chicken was nice and moist.

Great food and a fun atmosphere. Suitable for groups of all varieties. My 3 teenagers and young adults (1 or two picky eaters) easily found something wonderful to enjoy!
