The place is not so vibrant looking but the food and service are good. We ordered Peri-peri chicken bowl, Rainbow bowl, Chicken Sandwich, Mac n Cheese, Chicken wings etc. The peri-peri and rainbow rice bowl and chicken wings were the best. I liked the hummus in it. It’s definitely worth a try. The prices are pocket friendly too.

I’ve always loved Nando’s and visited this Naperville location to enjoy my usual full platter. This time, the chicken was a bit overcooked and burnt, but the manager/waitress handled it really well and quickly replaced it with perfectly cooked pieces. Their side of fried and garlic bread are a must try and perfectly done. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and the location is great right in the heart of downtown Naperville

Food was really good, giving 4 stars because the sandwiches are pretty small in portion and one of my chicken sandwiches had such a small piece of the chicken that I was mostly eating bread and vegetables. Watermelon lemonade wasn’t the best for ME but my friend LOVES it. Fries were decent, rice was DELISH. Overall we were all content with our meals, for me the sandwich was still amazing I was just sad about the size and chicken portion. Would go again! They also have a station with the sauces. The moment we came in, we were greeted with warmth and kindness. We went really early for breakfast because we were craving some really delicious food. I’ve normally catered their food. This was my first time inside. The atmosphere is amazing. The vibes are great. The food is some of the best I’ve ever had. You definitely have a customer for life every time I come to Naperville now I’m going to have to eat here. My brother and I truly enjoyed it

The food was nice, and exotic. The staff was super friendly and accommodating as well. Also it has a reasonable price range for the quality of the foods.

I wish they offered better service because the food was an unforgettable 10/10. When we were seating it was explained to us that we could order on the app or come up to the counter, so after we looked over the menu we decided on getting the chicken with two large sides. We approached the counter and were asked, “the online ordering wasn’t working?” to which I replied well can you not just take our order here so he did and asked for our table number which I didn’t know so he checked and put it in then gave us our cups and motioned to the soda and sauce station. While we were getting our drinks, another couple was sat at our table. We were confused and stood there holding our things as we waited for another table to be cleaned. I would have waited longer if it meant they would have taken more time to clean it because there was rice and chicken all over everything and they kept trying to sweep it up from under our feet after we were seated. I offered to use the rag myself because the young man clearly wasn’t doing a good job. We were afraid then that our food would go to the wrong table, but we must’ve caused enough of a scene that they knew who we were and what we ordered. We loved the food though. There is nothing like it that could ever compare. It was hot and was very tasty. We got the rice and macaroni and cheese which were both great choices. I wish the large size was larger because this meal said it could feed two or three, but between my boyfriend and I we ate it all and wished we had more. That was okay though we had made the trip from over an hour away to come here, so next time we may just order carry out online and find somewhere else to spend our time eating.

This was my first visit/first time trying Portuguese cuisine I can't rave enough about how amazing the food was! The chicken was perfectly marinated and seasoned and the rainbow wrap it came in was unbelievable. All of the fresh flavors came together so well! I have a new favorite chicken place.

Food is good. Spicy so be aware of your spice level. Service great. The portion was OK, but when they say chicken breast, is the half of the half of the half? So, if u are on a diet is great, dont expect a huge chunk of meat. Lol. I was surprised by the super small portion of meat but I cleaned my plate cause I was so hungry. I let the brain process that it was enough. Ha. The place was clean and quiet.

Great casual dining spot downtown Naperville. Small dining room and great carryout. Staff is a great team at this location. Everyone is helpful and upbeat. The chicken bowls with thigh meat are super flavorful and filling. They can almost be two meals. When it gets busy, it can be chaotic but everyone is very nice.

We have been coming for years and enjoy the food. Especially in nicer weather when we can sit on the nice patio. The last two visits, including today the level of service has really degraded. We dine out often and are very aware and tolerant of the labor shortage. Last time we had a long wait to be greeted as the three workers huddled in the kitchen looking at one cell phone. Food took a long time to be delivered and other tables received theirs first even after ordering well after we had. Today we tried again. We seemed to be interrupting the worker social time. Loud talking and calling out to each other across the restaurant. We used the app to order and saw our food in the warmer and had to ask two talking workers if we could get our beverages. And now they no longer have Matcha Peas! Not sure when you are may come back.

I visited this location after five years, and I was impressed with the upgraded menu. The Naperville downtown area is so charming and welcoming, making it the perfect spot for a night out. We went on a Friday night, and although it was busy, the 30-minute wait to be seated was worth it. I ordered the peri-peri grilled chicken, which also had a 30-minute wait, but trust me--it was absolutely worth it! We went for the spiciest option, and it was amazing. The lemonades were refreshing and complemented the meal perfectly. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Chicago. I really hope they open a Nando's in the Columbus area soon!

Can't go wrong with anything on their menu! Every time I'm in Chicago, we always stop by a Nando's. Food is always fresh and delicious. We got their power bowl, chicken and fries. Everything was amazing! I love spicy food and their hot sauces aren't that spicy but they add a good kick.

Came here for lunch with a party of four on a weekday. It was pretty empty so we were able to sit down at a booth. We ordered via the QR code at the table which was easy and user friendly. Our food came out promptly and everything looked fresh. I went with the Rainbow Bowl with chicken breast and Peri Q sauce and it was delicious! I loved the variety of flavors and textures. Everything tasted fresh and the portion was super satisfying. I would definitely order this again!

Not too busy inside, walked in waited a little and got seated right away. We ordered through the app and the app was easy to use. Drinks: Orange mango lemonade 10/10 not too sweet and not too sour. Pomegranate ginger ale 8/10 a bit on the sour side Food: 12 piece wing extra hot with fries and perinaise 7/10 the wings could of used more flavor to them. it was cooked very nicely though. some were charred so i was only getting charred parts. the fries were super flavorful with the perinaise. chicken burger with no red onion, fries and perinaise 9/10 would recommend. the pineapple goes well w it even though you can barely taste it, the chicken could of use also more flavoring but was juicy. the fries and sauce were good. Service was nice and would come to this location again.

We stopped in for dinner on a Saturday evening. We were seated right away. The ambiance is relaxed and comfortable. We ordered a half chicken with medium peri peri sauce, the sweet potatoes, golden cauliflower, and mac n cheese sides. The chicken is moist and flavorful. Medium sauce is just right for me where I can still enjoy the flavor of the food, and the heat seemed to build throughout the meal. There are other sauce flavors you can try as well. The real star of the meal are the three sides. I would go back and just order all sides they are sooo good! They all came out hot, fresh and perfectly cooked and seasoned.

I honestly used to love this place. However, the portions keep getting smaller and smaller. It's making it hard for me to keep supporting this business. Don't get me wrong, the food is good, but just never enough. They don't even fill up the food containers. They are literally only 1/3 full. Hopefully they get it together!

Whether you dine in or take out, Nando's does chicken right. Get a sandwich, pita, wrap, salad, platter, or bowl. Chicken every way you can imagine! No matter what form you get, it's always juicy and loaded with flavor. The 1/4 chicken platter (medium spicy) will always be my go to, because bone-in is oh so juicy. It's nice to know you can always add more sauce to your platter after the fact, but I'm usually good with how the kitchen does it! Besides the fresh, never frozen chicken, the sides also set Nando's Peri-Peri apart from other chicken establishments. The macho peas are very distinct and is a mash of peas, parsley, mint and chili. Yum. Portuguese rice, garlic bread, mashed potatoes, it's all there and more. Definitely a place you can visit over and over whether you're with friends, family, or just want to dine by yourself.

We were seated very quickly and service was great. We didn't have to wait too long for the food. The food was reliably good and the peri peri fries are always a favorite. Great selection of hot sauces too!

DOUBLE DIPPER Nando's magical Peri-naise is a most worthy condiment. My wife loves Nando's, perhaps even more than I do (and I'm quite the fan). Back when we lived in Oak Park, we used to hit up the Nando's there on a regular basis. Now, the closest options are Oak Brook mall and this spot in downtown Naperville. It's right off of Washington St, easy to miss. Even though I probably shouldn't, I still get the spiciest thing on the menu - a thigh in their 'extra hot'. My wife enjoyed her 1/2 chicken brushed with mango-lime sauce ($18). The mashed potatoes were fine, but as always the fries + Peri-naise (spicy mayo) get a gold star. I got a kids meal ($6.50) for the wee lad, and he happily devoured his fries. I brought a voucher for a free ¼ chicken that caused a headache at the register. Despite getting "three of these earlier (today)", the staff had no idea how to process this, and the manager eventually rang it up as a BOGO entrée item. Hopefully it wasn't a bogus coupon......hey wait a minute, I got that from a Yelp event! * TL;DR * I still sing the praises of Nando's; one snafu isn't going to derail our relationship with these fine purveyors of poultry. Between in-person events and takeout offers, Nando's Naperville has graciously hosted Yelpers on more than one occasion. The staff are pretty friendly and the food is consistently tasty. I dig the wide variety of sauces they have, plus the restaurant ambiance is wonderful. Oh, and Peri-naise = nirvana. However, on this past visit I waited an awfully long time at the register (~10 minutes), plus I asked for utensils yet they forgot to include them. They also forgot to give me the kids drink, but that's not as big of a deal. And what's going on with that $2 "service charge" on my receipt, hmmmm?? Shortcomings aside, I still recommend Nando's.

LOVE this place. I've been here twice since moving to the burbs and the food and ambiance has been EXCELLENT! Both times I have gone, it has not een overly crowded, the staff have been AMAZING and have taken time to make recommendations and check-in. The food itself is also SOOOOOO good. I have tried the chicken bowls which are amazing - the chicken is tender, vegetables bright and the seasoning/sauces make the meal complete. The most recent time we went, My partner got the Nandoca's Choice which is a sandwich and fries since I love those bowls. The sandwich was equally delicious and was surprisingly QUITE filling. I highly recommend checking this place out - from the location, the food to the staff, everything is wonderful.

"Mom, does it smell like sh*t in here or is it just me?" She discreetly texted me from across the table. Yeah. It did. As soon as I sat down, it smelled faintly of sewage. It was coming from under the table. 1st, Nando's, what's going on in there? 2nd, why do I always LOL when she swears in front of me? Malodorous issue aside, I like how easy it is to eat here when you're tracking calories. There are several healthy options like Turmeric Cauliflower and Charred Sweet Potato. I paired those with Chicken Thigh Skewers. I was very full and had zero guilt. That's a win. I used to complain that there weren't enough healthy sides here, and thankfully that's been remedied. But, Nando's, fix that smell. Tout suite

Second time at a Nando's peri peri. First visit was in oak park and this was the Naperville location. I came for a yelp Elite event and purchased a whole table full of trys. The thing I loved about the menu before I came was the vegetarian and vegan options. They have a veggie burger and I got the grilled sweet potato in a grilled almost French bread bun. I took the cheese off ( I didn't recognize that name and quickly realized when I took a bite it was cheese. It came with a side and I upgraded for one more side. The meal itself was not hugely filling but it was very good. My family got the chicken and tried the other sauces. In the back there are other sauces to try. You pour into a plastic cup. The greatest thing is the sink to wash your hands after touching the bottles if you like. Which post pandemic is so normal to be thinking of germs on anything especially bottles. The fries were delicious and the rice was amazing. You don't get allot but it is really all you need. My family loved the chicken. 1/4 is w Pugh for someone who eats lightly but 1/2 I know I know it sounds like a ton is more for someone who wants to walk away feeling satisfied till their next meal. The prices are not inexpensive here. Pretty much what you pay these days, considering a burrito at chipotle is $10 this is about $15-20 for a full meal with 2 sides. We loved the warehouse interior and happy we tried it!

I'm a Californian who enjoys coming to Chicago and getting food at Nandos. The chicken is fantastic and I love the rice and fries. No complaints honestly.

Went here with a friend who suggested we go. I decided to get the boneless chicken breast with 2 sides - fries and Brussels sprouts. The chicken is juicy and flavorful, the fries were fresh and crisp, and the sprouts were delicious as well. I liked how you could get extra sauces in addition to the one on your chicken. I also liked the furniture and decor! A couple things I didn't like was that it's a bit pricy and that you have to order on the website on your phone. Would prefer to interact with a server more. But overall I would go back!

The food is excellent. I had the chicken rainbow bowl with sweet spicy medium heat and a delicious watermelon lemonade. However, this particular day the service was pretty bad. The cashier overcharged my friend at first; it had to be corrected. This same girl left our food up at the counter to get cold until I went up there to ask if it was our order. I had previously asked them if they would bring our food to table. They said yes. Also no one asked me what other choices I would like on my bowl. I forgot to ask myself but I know you have choices because of previous visits. Also, the place is untidy and not particularly clean. The other staff was preparing food; they seemed short handed.

I didn't get my avacado with the bowl I ordered for take out . I went in the restaurant it was not very busy, it's a Monday afternoon I ordered a rice bowl with roasted red pepper avacado arugula hummus and I added chicken a I didn't receive the avocado which is the part that I had mentioned to the guy when I initially ordered it I was describing it and saying the word avocado like three times. It wasn't even busy. It wasn't that hard to get it wrong and I paid for it and now I'm not eating it and I wish I was and it sucks I'll probably won't be going back. I should have asked for my receipt which was a mistake. Guy who took order seemed very unenthusiastic and bothered . I would like a refund for my avocado and I came in around 1:15 - 1:30

I can always count on Nando's to make me sweat, but usually it's not because they forgot about my entree. However, when I brought to the manager Austin's attention, he was very apologetic, and they made it immediately and brought it right out. Austin went above and beyond to make it right and we will definitely be back to this location again. Excellent customer service!

We were seated and served right away. I wasn't expecting much for a chicken bowl but omg, it was soooooo good Mac and cheese was also great but was a very small portion. If you like bold flavors, this will be great to try out. I had the peri chicken rainbow bowl (spicy level 1 below the spiciest) and was perfect. Recommend

This is our first time to visit this restaurant. I was impressed when I initially stepped into the restaurant because the building was old but renovated to a more modern look. The tables were very clean and seats were quite comfortable and had a cozy vibe. Staff were friendly and there was very fast service. I ordered the quarter chicken breast meal (see picture). The chicken breast was full of flavor and was tender. The chicken had a slight lime taste with every bite. It gets much better when dipped with their in-house sauce because they go well together. the seasoning on the fries were a quite salty. It would be perfect if they cut down seasoning a bit; but when it was paired with their sauce, it tasted better. Overall, the chicken was great and we will come back to try their other items.

So many great food options! The chicken is delicious and prepared so many ways! The sauce options are endless and have so much flavor! The sides are outstanding! I highly recommend!

Its right in the middle of downtown naperville, so, its understandable that its busy mostly but the management of this place has gone down over time. The table we sat on was sticky which the server cleaned hut didn't help and the seats were not clean either. Empty sauce bottles. Goes without saying the floor wasn't clean.

Service was very bad. It took them a while to seat us and when they did, they seated us in the place that customers had just asked to leave because of how drafty and cold it was. The food is really not what it used to be, it has heavily declined in quality. Upon ordering digitally, the site did not work for paying.. so we ordered up front with the same customizations. They got my order entirely wrong. Even though Nando's isn't known for their salads, it shouldn't take sending it back to have fresh (not brown and old tasting) lettuce and no onions as requested. Thankfully the reordered salad was actually fresh and accurate to my order. However, after eating here I experienced awful food poisoning symptoms. Considering they handle chicken, it was likely salmonella. I am very disappointed and will not be dining here again.

Oh my holy goodness this place is so good Nandocas' choice is absolutely insane and I've never tasted such a perfect spice level for me then the medium fries are the best fries I've ever had, mac and cheese was crazy as well i don't even know what to say simply a gift to humanity service is great too and the vibe is excellent

Was there this evening and nothing was right. They claimed to be out of items at 5:30 which I'm guessing they just didn't want to make. The manager shouldn't be managing people or dealing with the public. Not going back.

Located in downtown Naperville ,Nandos does not disappoint . You order either thru their app or at the counter and they bring the food to you. I wish someone would have greeted us to explain how the ordering and seating works tho. They have limited indoor seating on the main floor. Upstairs was closed so not sure how much more seating might be available. If you have a large party you will have to push a few tables together on the main floor. Ordered the wing appetizer which consisted of 6 wings flame grilled basted with their medium sauce. Not too spicy..just right. Also had the quarter of a chicken that came with seasoned fries. Both plates had a Spicey ranch for dipping..yummy! They also have a garlic sauce and a lemon herb sauce which we dipped our fries in and both were excellent. We tried a side of roasted cauliflower with tumeric seasoning which was fantastic. They offer platters for larger groups..bowls..wraps and sandwiches. Beer and wine also available. If you are looking for an upscale casual dining experience..Peri Peri is the place to go.

This place specializes in chicken and the flavor is absolutely delicious. I ate here for a lunch with coworkers amd the chicken was so delicious that I brought my family here for dinner the same night. The chicken is very flavorful with a nice amount of kick. They also have a children's menu and there are different levels of spice to choose from. The sides are flavorful and also have a bit of kick. They have vegetarian food options. If you're looking for a meat other than chicken, this may not be the place for you.

Got nandos delivered. As always love the naughty natas and mashed potatoes. This time I had a chicken tender bowl medium spice with rice, arugula, corn, red peppers, and hummus. The combination was perfect! I'll definitely get this again!

I've been to Nando's before in Chicago but recently got the opportunity to try their downtown Naperville location as part of a Yelp elite experience. We ordered a good amount of food to go. I had the quarter chicken breast with mango lime sauce. The chicken was very juicy and had a nice char to it. The fries were soggy, but I think they just didn't travel well on the 20 minute drive home. The peri ranch sauce was very good, leaving me want more! My husband had the 1/2 chicken extra hot. He said it was pretty spicy with a respectable level of spiciness. We tried the halloumi cheese fries, which came with a sweet Chilli jam. I really enjoyed them but maybe it's an acquired taste as my 2 year old tried & spit it out haha. We also got an order of 6 wings which were tasty. I tried the raspberry cheesecake and it was very yummy. If there was a closer location this might be a place I'd put in my regular takeout rotation!

Not good at all. Chicken was extremely dry and bland. No taste whatsoever. The food came out Luke warm which is surprising since they're supposed to be making everything fresh?? The Mac and cheese was bland and cold. The rice had no flavor and seemed like it was left over. The skewers were the driest chicken I have ever had. Would never return.

This restaurant is located right down town Naperville. It was cleaned and organized. The staff is friendly and helpful. There are many different types of sauces (garlic, mild, hot, extra hot, ect). I ordered quarter size chicken breast, fried, and peaches tea. The chicken was well seasoned, moist, and tender. I love their mayonnaise sauce which goes well with the chicken. The fried was little salty for me. However, the meal was very delicious. I will definitely come back for more in the future.

Perfect for people who want to avoid human interaction to the point where they don't get certain items they ordered brought to the table. I guess that's why you have to tip before the food is even brought to you. Want a spoon? Follow someone downstairs to get one instead of having someone just bring it to you. It's fast food without the convenience and a sit-down spot without the service. Chicken was alright.

Just came from this location, and had an absolutely wonderful experience! We were seated on the patio (preferred, since it was a lovely day and we had a stroller in tow), beautiful flowers surrounded the shaded booths. Heard it was a dog-friendly patio, but no pups to be seen this time. The manager was SO accommodating, friendly, and made sure we had a great dining experience. Menu standouts are the chicken kabobs, mashed potatoes, peas, garlic bread, and the thighs (didn't get them this time but I've had them before and they're spectacular). Love that there are so many healthy options and sides for our 11 month old (avocado, pineapple, pulled chicken, etc). Overall, a very clean location, with friendly staff, and quick & tasty food. Will definitely return next time we're in the area.

Usually love Nandos. Unfortunately, the chicken and fries were soggy, but the bread was good. Oh, and Joe says, "Too many cooks spoil the child".

First time. Glad we came. Vibe inside was cool. 2 floors. Open ceiling between the floors. Cool art work on brick walls. Mellow Portuguese (?) music. Food was really good. Hubby ordered wings with medium Peri sauce and garlic bread. The bread was the bomb! I kept stealing some from him. I ordered a Peri-Peri bowl - Portuguese rice, roasted red peppers, arugala, corn and hummus. Very good. It came with only 3 pieces of chicken. It would have been perfect with 4. Ordered it with lemon-herb sauce. Yum. Some suggestions: 1. If you don't plant a hostess at the door... Have it watched closely. I saw a mom and son wait unnecessarily too long to be seated. 2. Since a server does not take your order nor refills drinks... I don't think patrons should be asked about a tip (albeit through the CC machines). 3. Add more facilities. There is only a 1 person bathroom for the men and 1 for the women. Consistent line all the while we were there. 4. Kinda pricey. Consider adjusting.

I went here to have have a meal and dine inside. I proceeded to order my meal and then sat down to wait for it. After about ten minutes, an employee informed me that they weren't doing inside dining today. There was no communication about that until AFTER I paid for my meal. On top of that, the kitchen staff were using the f-word and one particular man kept singing "Don't stop believing" over and over at the top of his lungs. So I took my meal and went home to eat it. The pita pouch my chicken and veggies were in was dry and hard. They did not include utensils and napkins. Hard pass on Nando's again in the future.

Meh, I hadn't been here in a while, and I was less impressed than in the past. For one thing, staff all seemed to assume that you know the ropes without asking, which is presumptuous because the way this place works (be seated by host, get back up to order, oh yeah don't forget to go get your utensils etc.) is not very fluid. My food (the wrap with yogurt dressing) was ok. I got the roasted corn as a side, but they really needed to do a better job of removing the silk from it; it was still way too hairy when it hit my plate. I ordered pineapple lemonade, but they were apparently out so I got the blood orange mango variety which wasn't nearly as good (and expensive, about $3.50 for a glass). They have some seasonal dishes and sides so you can see what's new for spring and summer, but I just wasn't wowed this time. I know they can do better.

Had the worst experience in the food industry. Was served a thin leg and told they were out of chicken so I'll have to take what I am given... the waitress said, "I'm busy right now, I'll tell my manager and they'll come to you, but we are out of chicken so you'll have to take what you get given.." We waited for 15 minutes to be seated the same waitress asked if we had been attended to and basically walked away after we told he we hadn't. We ordered water with our food but the we had to ask twice for it and had to go straight to the waitress again leaving our food to ask for it... Very disappointing on how things went, the level of service was shocking and not like the Nando's we know and love.

Service was bad, they charged service fee as well. The food is not so great as in other countries and the price does not mach quality. Ambiance is good so i gave it 2 stars.

I love Nando's, I really do. It's very frustrating though that most times when I order for pick up this is how my chicken looks and I am starting to think it's deliberate because I don't see anyone accepting this order when dining in.

It took a while for a very young kid to come up and greet me. While I was waiting, I noticed every empty table needed to be cleaned up. The occupied tables had customers with menus but no drinks. The "host" told me I would "probably have to wait about 20 minutes, maybe more because we're very understaffed". Ok...guess I'll go eat somewhere else then... ‍

The first time I came here I just had chicken and wasn't amazed but the second time i came i had the rainbow bowl which was phenomenal!! The service was okay, when you come in you either order online and they bring it to you or you order at the front desk so not a typical restaurant service. The inside is very nice and colorful, and they play cultural music which is fun to listen to.

I quite like Nando's but I do not like this location anymore. The manager ruined the experience. Why?/How? There was a messup with our order of 2 "naughty natas" which are little custard cup things they heat up on the grill for like 2 mins. However, 10 minutes after placing the order, they delivered them to the wrong table. When I addressed it, they said they will fix the issue. 20 minutes MORE pass and still nothing. When we ask, they said they decided to cook for a big party before fixing our order. As a former line cook I can tell you this is not the proper way to fix an issue for your customers. If an order gets messed up, you make it right and you make them next. You don't put a party of 30 before them. Then EVEN WORSE, the manager decides to come harass us AT OUR TABLE and interrogate us "what do you want us to do" over and over. You're the manager, grow some balls and have some tact. You're literally trying to make us look like assholes in front of everyone for asking for our food that we ordered 30 minutes ago, which you misdelivered to someone else 20 minutes ago and never bothered to correct. I told the manager 3 times there's nothing more he can do and to just leave but he wouldn't. He stood there and kept loudly asking what we want him to do making us look like shit to the point other customers started laughing. What I WANT is for you to LEAVE ao we can enjoy the custard cups that you finally brought us while they're still warm. Food was good and I like the location. The wait staff is nice but the manager is an ass.

They've got great food for everyone here. Not many places have halloumi cheese on the menu for vegetarians but this spot does. Easy to order here to sit down or pick up to-go. Chicken bowls, fries, and veggie options are all great.
