Exquisite Indian Cuisine and Gracious Hosts!!! From the moment I arrived for takeout, Nanglo impressed me. The entire staff, including the boss, greeted me with excellent, friendly service, which set a warm tone for my visit. The venue itself is elevated and beautifully decorated, featuring granite countertops, large windows, vibrant colors, and exquisite artwork. It’s an ideal setting for any occasion—from a date night to a birthday celebration. While I waited for my takeout, the service was exceptionally quick. I ordered a delicious Juicy Lucy IPA at the bar and was pleasantly surprised to receive a delicious complimentary rice pudding and Mango Lassi! The quick turnaround meant my order was ready almost immediately. The food was truly outstanding. I highly recommend the: Butter Chicken Chicken Tikka Masala Lamb Madras Garlic Naan Everything was delicious! The dining area also offers large screen televisions for watching games, making it a great spot for friends. Thank you, Nanglo, for being such gracious hosts. I will certainly be back and tell all my friends!

With the goal of supporting newest local businesses along H Street NE, a friend and I did a lunch crawl on a Thursday afternoon. Out of the four spots we visited, Nanglo was one of our favorites. Here's why. 1) Food: The menu focuses on Nepali and Indian food with many options. To feed two of us, we ordered the Nanglo Set for Two for $48, which was a great price for the amount of food you get. (It can feed three people.) It comes out on a platter is the best representation of food from Nepal according to our server. It's chicken heavy with chicken wings, chicken on the bone, biryani with chicken, etc. However, there are a few other dishes like potatoes with an incredible sauce and more. Everything had incredible spice and flavor and was well prepared. 2) Space: It's large with many tables, booths, and a bar. 3) Drinks: The Nanglo Set for Two comes with two mango lassis that were delicious! I'd go back just for that! Overall, we LOVED Nanglo!

I love this new restaurant! It is a cute little spot for folks looking to support businesses on H street. Authentic Nepali cuisine. Try the Buffalo Momos, Goat Bhuttan and Dirty Mango Lassi. We got a free appetizer on Christmas Day.

Truly the best Nepalese food! We tried the Nanglo Veg Set Thali and everything on the plate was delicious. The momos both steamed and chilly were packed with flavors. Spicy Mustang Aloo had a very pleasant distinct flavor. Chowmein and Veg Biryani were equally delicious. Tandoori paneer had good char and smoky. Cauliflower Bejule were very crispy and delectable sauce. Will definitely visit again when around the area.

Google
The most authentic Nepalese food in DMV area! Momo was juicy, perfectly cooked, and so delicious that it didn’t even need achar. I also loved how they cooked C momo in home made tomato sauce instead of ketchup! Everything was so perfect! Will definitely be back even tho I live in a different state hehe PS everyone should try their mula ko achar i can bet on the taste and authenticity of it

Google
Great spot with Nepalese and Indian food on H Street! Well managed with extremely friendly and courteous staff. Food was excellent and as someone well versed in Nepalese cuisine - this was spot on! We tried the buff suketi, goat sekuwa, mustang aloo, and both chicken and buff Momos! Our only request was a bit more spice/heat on the sauces. But the owner brought us green chiles and a spicier sauce to supplement to our taste! Getting their liquor license soon which will make this place an even better night time spot for a bite and drinks!

Google
The food here was next level. We got the chicken platter and i think the biryani was the best I have ever had, I was all about the two different types of dumplings and the tandoori chicken was absolutely top notch. I highly recommend checking this place out! It is so under the radar right now I am shocked.

Google
We tried the non veg Nanglo set and Chicken 65, and both were amazing especially for such affordable prices. Please pass along my compliments to the chef. The staffs were also very kind and welcoming. Will definitely visit again.

Yelp
When visiting D.C. for business, I felt the urge to indulge in some Indian food. Super happy with Nanglo and the options to share with others at the table. The presentation and the quality of the food was superb. The atmosphere was relaxing and beautiful. The drinks were also beautiful and delicious. The service was quick and comforting and attended to our every needs. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Highly recommend. Cauliflower Bezule was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend that. I initially ordered a Goat sekuwa, but I found the meat to be tough so they swapped a Chicken Sekuwa and it was very tender and well seasoned. Great service. I will 100% be back to this place. It tastes a little different from normal Indian places, perhaps Nepali influence. I find the food here to be wonderful, and the interior decoration is beautiful !! Will be back.

Yelp
Had a great dinner at Nanglo during my visit to D.C. The food was flavorful and came out fresh, with just the right balance of spices. The staff was attentive without rushing us, and the overall atmosphere felt warm and relaxed. The presentation of each dish was surprisingly nice for a casual spot. Definitely a place I'd return to on my next trip.

Yelp
Tried Nanglo Restaurant & Bar for the first time and really enjoyed their Indian-fusion twist on classic dishes. The flavors were bold and creative without being overdone, and everything tasted fresh. The vibe inside is modern and relaxed, and the staff was friendly and attentive throughout the meal. Overall it was a delicious experience and definitely worth coming back to explore more of the menu.

Yelp
Nanglo opened this weekend on H St., providing the neighborhood with a solid Nepalese-Indian restaurant. I just ordered the goat curry, mango virgin mojito and the gulab jamun with ice cream. The goat curry was solid, but I'll note that it has a lot of bones; the meat though is quite tender. The mango virgin mojito was sweet and tangy and a good mocktail option. I enjoyed my dessert and additionally appreciated the great service.

Yelp
Food was incredible. We had spicy cauliflower and momos, both Nepali cuisine. Thali was savory and delicious with perfect lamb. People working in the restaurant were super friendly. The Indian dishes were excellent but the Nepalese dishes were unique and amazing.

Yelp
Got the veggie combo. Came with 2 mango lassis. Got steamed chicken momo. Everything was great. Service was great. Great addition to the neighborhood.

Yelp
Beautiful clean restaurant, and all the food is tasty and wonderful. We had the shrimp appetizer, samosa chaat, chicken tikka, and the lamb curry with garlic naan. Really good food!

Yelp
Such a gem! Authentic Nepali flavors and the thali is the star for a sampler of great flavors --fresh, balanced, and endlessly satisfying. The biryani and house-made pickles are amazing, the kuruani as dessert is a must-try! The staff make you feel right at home. Cozy spot you'll want to come back to!

Yelp
Food is excellent and highly recommend. The atmosphere is cute and feels authentic Nepalese. The staff are very courteous, efficient, and polite.

Yelp
Get over to Nanglo now, before everyone else finds this gem! I went with a group of 7 and we had a terrific feast but a surprisingly low bill. The veg and non-veg thali were both outstanding- huge, varied and delicious. Highly recommend the chili paneer starter too. The waitstaff was really kind and attentive, even running two blocks after my friend when she left an item behind. Can't wait to go back and try more dishes!

Yelp
This place is dope. I got the veggie momos in jhol broth and it was incredible. I also got a side of aloo potatoes, amazing! So glad this place is so close to my house. Service was fast, prices are reasonable, especially considering how much food you get. I will be here often. So excited for H Street!!!
