Nanny's Place

My son loves Nanny's place! Mary's warm and personable approach, excellent communication, and genuine love for her work make this daycare truly exceptional. Her prompt and open communication has provided me with great peace of mind, as I'm always kept in the loop on my little one's day. I wholeheartedly recommend Mary's Daycare to any parent seeking a nurturing and enriching environment for their child to flourish.

As first-time parents, we were very careful about finding someone we could trust with our Levi. We visited several daycares before discovering Nanny’s Place, and meeting Mary made the decision easy. She immediately was genuine and caring, and her calm, steady presence made us feel confident leaving our son in her care. The small, home-style environment has been perfect for him, and it shows in how quickly he settled in. We love receiving the photos and updates throughout the day. They make such a difference while we are at work and always show Levi relaxed, engaged and happy. The level of attention and personal care Mary gives is truly exceptional and the peace of mind she provides is invaluable. Nanny’s Place has become a real second home for our little boy, and we are incredibly grateful.

Since I found Mary on Yelp from all of her 5-star reviews, it's only fitting that I'd now write my own! Let me say that finding care for an infant and leaving them with someone outside your home for the first time will always be stressful, but Mary helped make our family's transition from my maternity leave back to work so much easier. We started our daughter at Nanny's Place at 5 months and our experience has been great. Our baby loves Mary and getting dropped off each day, and from the daily pictures and videos she texts us, our daughter is having a blast with the other kids while there. Mary's space is great for young kids including a spacious backyard with plenty of toys, books, and activities. The hours she offers are also ideal for our busy family with two working parents. Moreover, because Mary only watches a small number of children at a time, we've been able to feel confident our baby is getting all the attention she needs (while still getting really good socialization from other kids...but not getting constantly sick from exposure to tons of kids). It's been a great balance for our family. Beyond all that, it's obvious that Mary is passionate about childcare and loves all of the children she has cared for over the years. She is a staple of the neighborhood and we've met many of the children of neighbors and families she watched in the past who remain part of her circle because of the impact she made on them. I'd highly recommend Mary to anyone looking for daycare for their little one. You'll be in excellent hands with her!

When you don't have any family in town, finding someone you can rely on to take care of your little one is nerve-wracking. We've been so lucky to have Mary take care of our boy from the time he turned 1 until he starts preschool this August. I think of Mary like an aunt to us all- sweet and caring and fun, with just enough discipline to help our boy grow up And be ready for greater social interactions. We wish we had her available for our oldest son (Who she has watched over from time to time). We're happy and grateful to be a part of the community she has built. She loves all of her kids dearly, and that's something that we can't quantify by stars or reviews.

It's never an easy decision to put your child into a daycare, but with Mary I felt so comfortable leaving my son, who was one at the time, in her care. You could tell Mary cares about all of her kiddos. My son definitely didn't make it easy on any of us at first, he would cry for hours, but Mary would always say he's okay, I've got him. Mary has a great back yard for the kids to play in and she takes them on walks. They love it! We love Mary so much and so do both of my little ones. We couldn't have found a better place!

I just wanted to update because it's been over 5 years since my last review. My daughter Alyssa whom Mary watched still remembers Mary. Alyssa was almost 3 when we left Mary's daycare. Alyssa asks about Mary and often wants to go visit. We recently were in the area, I drove to Mary's without telling my daughter and Alyssa knew where we were right away, she ran up to Mary's door and gave her a big hug. My daughter is almost 9 now but because of daycare providers like Mary she had set amazing, positive and loving steps towards my daughter's future where she felt safe and loved. Thank you Mary for being an exceptional provider that my daughter will always remember and love!

Mary has been such a gift and godsend for our little family. I'll never forget the day in 2017 when we found ourselves in a pickle, and needed to find immediate childcare for the following day. Mary understood our situation and opened the doors to her home. Not but 24 hours later did she welcome our then 2-year-old son with open arms, in what would be a fun and social adventure that would last a year and a half. We loved Mary so much that we had our daughter stay with her beginning at age 1! She provides a clean and safe home where the children can play and learn, a large backyard that will allow them to grow and explore, and daily walks that give them the breath of fresh air that they need! Our biggest takeaway from Mary is the amazing community of "Nanny's Place" alumni that she has created for all of her children. To this day, Mary invites our children over for pizza parties, Easter Egg Hunts, Halloween Spooktaculars, and the works! We all keep in touch with one another because Mary has created a strong network of support to build those valued relationships. We all share something special having known Mary and the great care she provided to our kids at such an important time in our lives (as new parents!). The biggest task as a parent is to find someone who will provide a safe and loving environment for your child (or children!). We wholeheartedly trusted Mary with both of our kids, and would certainly recommend her to any families that are looking for someone you can count on. She has become like family to us, and you can rest assured that your little ones are in good hands.

Mary is simply the best! She is flexible and easy to work with. Mary really loves all the children she cares for and brings you into the "extended family" of kids and parents she's worked with over the years. It really does feel like a family and we miss that familiar relationship now that our child has gone on to preschool. Thankfully we still use Mary as our first choice for after school care! Parking and drop off are really easy. The kids spend a good amount of time outside and she has every toy a kid could want! Also, Mary really goes above and beyond for the kids' birthdays and Halloween!

Mary is everything we were looking for when searching for a daycare option for our infant son. We wanted his first experience in a daycare to be one where he got a lot of one on one attention, affection, and care, and Mary was the perfect fit for that. Mary offers a safe, clean, healthy, and enriching environment for young children. She offers them a range of activities, and has a Huge wonderful backyard full Of toys, and complete with a jungle gym and sandbox. She is so full of joy to celebrate any and all holidays through extensive decor inside and outside, that the children participate in setting up and look forward to enjoying everyday of the season. We have had our son enrolled with her through some of the toughest Covid spikes and have NEVER felt like our son or our family was at any risk by taking him there. She maintains a clean and healthy environment for the families and we are so thankful to have had such a healthy and safe experience. Another bonus about Nannys place is that she offers all food and snacks throughout the day which are all healthy options and makes our life so much easier in terms of prepping and packing. Mary was the answer to our families desires for care for our son, and we are so thankful to have our baby boy in such great hands everyday.

Mary definitely deserves 5 stars. She is really great with the kids and cares for them like they are her own. She watches my 11 month old and I could not be happier. I was very nervous to leave my little one with anyone besides family and friends....as most moms would be, Mary understood that and made me comfortable from the start. My son took to her very quickly. She gave me her references and all the moms I spoke to gave her praise!! Not one bad comment!! I also get pics sent to me during the day...so wonderful. Thank you Mary!!

We sent both of our kids to Mary, and are so happy we found her! She's extremely loving , happy, and fun. My kids loved playing in her huge backyard outside, loved her abundance of toys inside, loved going on walks, and loved all of the dancing and singing to music. We loved dropping happy kids off in the morning, and picking up happy kids in the evening. We highly recommend Nanny's Place!

Mary's great, our little Boo Boo has found a fun, welcoming, safe place to spend time with his other little friends at Nanny's Place. I recommend it!

Mary is the best with all her kids. She watches my baby, Blair and she really loves her as if she's her own.

Mary was great with our little guy. He's moved on to preschool now, but Mary is still our first call for after-hours care. She has multiple play rooms as well as a great outside yard. Plus, she frequently takes the kids on a walk to a nearby park. We didn't have any of this at the previous institutional-esque daycare we tried.

Mary is fantastic with the kids. The house is full of love and fun. Our munchkin has been with her for over a year now and she loves going to see Mary!

Mary is absolutely wonderful! She loves the kids unconditionally. Mary has watched our daughter now for over two years and has become part of our family - a second mom to our Isabella. This always makes us feel so comforted. She'll love your children like they're her own - providing a loving, safe, dependable and fun environment. She keeps you in the loop of what going on during the day so that you don't feel so far apart from your child. I highly recommend Nanny's Place!!!

Mary is truly amazing! She is friendly and fun and my daughter loves her. She has a huge back yard full of fun toys, tables, swings, you name it - and the kids are always playing outside or going for walks and to the park (she also has plenty of toys inside). Mary also sends pics of the kids having fun and playing throughout the day...it's a nice touch. Mary has great references and is truly a genuine person; she will introduce you to the other parents and invites you to join her and other parents at Burbank's Ladies and Gents last Friday of the month event. It's so nice to walk around and see the other parents and be able to say hello to them. My daughter loves the other kids and is learning so much. I started her there when she was just 1 and now she is almost 2 (21 months) and is such a sweet girl who shares and is truly flourishing in Mary's care. If there was 10 stars, I would give them all to Mary.

I live on the same block as Nanny's place and watch first hand the excellent care and love all these little kiddos get!! My nephew was loved and cared for by Mary while he attended this daycare...Mary truly loves all of the girls and boys that she cares for. My girls are 10 and 8 and love to go play at Mary's when I have to run errands!! It can be scary as a parent to leave your children with someone while you work, but having someone who cares for them like Mary does makes it a lot easier!!
