While I’m not really sure if this place actually deserves five stars, if your intention is to play some cards, it’s one of the better choices in the area. The casino is really small, and it could get extremely crowded during peak hours. Surprisingly, they don’t charge collection for the table games, which automatically makes this place better than a lot of the other card rooms. Their drinks are priced reasonably, and they have complimentary water and soda. There is also a food truck parked outside, which is always good to have as an option.

The atmosphere was kind of a surprise. As we entered, everyone looked our way, and we felt like intruders until we got a warm, friendly welcome by the congenial staff.

My brother loved this place. He loves everyone from the owner to the dealers. Sadly Daniel is no longer with us, his fight against Cancer took everything he had.

Seriously hard to win here. Blackjack pays 6:5 and losing five games in a row is very common. Even had a dealer laugh at us when we lost. I don’t know if the cards are rigged but for some reason I’ve never seen anyone win more than they came here with. (in the dozens of times I’ve been) In my opinion… Only play here if you want to donate your money to the business.

Google
Cool little casino with a handful of tables. They don’t charge commission on blackjack and everyone was really nice. Right next to the Hilton I stayed so very convenient to hang out and kill time. Would come back.

I really find it a wonderful calming and safe fun place too be. I just wish all my little boy were still here too go gambling, how fun it would of been. He would be so happy.

Google
Don't judge this place by the outside! It looks like a normal house but once you walk in, it is action city! The place is small with limited amount of table games (3 Card Poker, Pai Gow, and Blackjack) and can feel tight when all the tables fill up. Overall, I always have a great time when I visit and will continue to play here when I am in the area.

I've been going here for 15 years. It's not your ordinary card room that's for sure. I play the 4-8 half kill and they have a 6-12 high lo game on weekends. The limit games get lit! Friendly place tho most of the dealers are super friendly and they serve dinner every night. Small place but very inviting.

Yelp
A little gem in Napa Valley area - located in American Canyon. Everyone is friendly and customer service is great and accommodating. Although is a small card room, it gets your fixed in in a wide variety of games from poker to other table games without driving far away or flying to Vegas. Play with money you are willing to play with. As always, when you are losing money you are having a terrible time. When you are winning it's amazing. Worth checking out to try to win some money!

Yelp
This place is a joke!!! I've gambled at Graton, Cache Creek and in Vegas but this is far from a casino. I like to talk to the other players and occasionally to the dealer to make the blackjack table not so boring, however, some of the female dealers seem not to like there jobs and take it out on the customers. I was told by one dealer that I was talking too much at the table and should be quiet? First of all, I'm a grown man a talk as much as I like when I'm gambling with my money and I told her just that. She went back to the so-called managers and said I called her a bitch? An outright lie!!! They asked me to leave without hearing my side of the story. Is this customer service? This place lacks professionalism, customer service and respect for the customers. It also seemed to be rigged at the blackjack tables. As long as you're losing and not saying too much about their shady tactics, then they love you. I refuse to be disrespected by anyone, especially overworked, underpaid and disgruntled employees. Do not! I repeat, "do not" go to this so-called casino! Save your money and go to a place where you'll be treated with respect, not here! And anyone that's reading this review that is guilty of this type of behavior can come to me face to face and confront me if they like but they better hope they're in the safety of there coworkers and not in the streets.

Yelp
Played here for the first time and it was an amazing time definitely would recommend this place if you like the kind of family friendly atmosphere like a house game with the boys everyone knows everyone it was a really good experience only thing was there was a heavy set white guy that looked like he worked there that made some comments that made me uncomfortable especially a comment that was made where it was definitely some racism behind it but other than that definitely will be going back hopefully next time he won't be there that would definitely be the only deterrent

Will F.

Yelp
The cigarette smoke and smell comments are well founded, it's pretty bad. It's a land of slots and few tables, some video poker. It's not Vegas, so tamper expectations considerably.

Edgar C.

Yelp
I like the dealers but lately it hasn't really been much of a gamble if the casino wins 90%of the hands. I'm a regular but I think it's time to find a new spot.

Stanley L.

Yelp
The manager here is wonderful. They have multiple tables of poker, baccarat, and table games. The kitchen is packed with alcohol and food but cash / chips only. I recommend this establishment with my utmost regard, respectfully as always!

B W.

Yelp
I like how their house games they miraculously make 80% of their hands. Must be those miraculously awesome automatic card shufflers.

Miguel B.

Yelp
This a comment to acknowledge that this establishment loves their employees as family. I've made some comments in the past about losing hands in poker at the tables there that made dealers uneasy! for better word. Never my intent to make their job hard or make them feel bad. Jason GM and floor person Milton were very professional to address their concerns for their valued employees. My wife and I being years playing there, they didn't want expell me from the casino. This conversation was clear, and given care going forward so that these misunderstanding will never happen again. sincerely MJB

Yelp
I'm torn. On the one hand, this place is close, and the guy running the floor is extremely polite and helpful. The drink service is also really speedy and friendly, and a majority of the players that I encountered were super nice and welcoming. As a new player, I enjoyed this for most of my night. Let me begin by saying that the atmosphere here is pretty chill, and while it lacks the bells and whistles of some other casinos in Northern California, the energy here is really quite good. I was skeptical at first about the whole tiny tent in a parking lot, but they make it work, that's for sure. As for a the poker, I played here late on a Saturday evening. Got in around 10, and ended up getting into a 4/8 limit game about an hour later while waiting for a seat at the no limit game. I don't mind, I had a couple of hours to kill and just wanted to play. Game started off good, and for the first hour or so I was fairly card dead but was enjoying the company of the players to my right. Then I had the good fortune of winning a couple of large pots with pocket kings. Suddenly the lad on my left decided that he would harass me the remainder of my stay at the table. Mocking my play, openly talking trash to me about my hand selection, laughing loudly when I would lose a pot, slamming chips around and taunting me to call. Honestly, it didn't shake me at all, he is free to act like a child if he wants. I've played much larger games than this with much better players than this bum. But what upset me was that none of my three dealers ever told him to stop. It was disruptive and disrespectful, and he did not do this to just me. He had done this to other players, telling them that they were bad and suggesting that they leave the table and play other games. If the floor hears things like this I feel that they have an obligation to say something. It creates a hostile and unpleasant place to play. I'm not personally intimidated by runts like this guy. They pop up from time to time. But I can imagine this would really be a deal breaker for newer players or even folks who are simply a bit less combative and mouthy than I am. I hope that this was an outlier. As I said, most of the folks that I interacted with here were great. The dealers are the only question mark for me. Aside from not telling this individual to settle down they also do this odd thing where they will throw cards into the muck as they're turned over, even if they're best, simply keeping tabs of the winning hand in their heads. It is strange, and I feel like it could lead to error. It didn't happen during my time playing, but an Ace high board led to both players having an Ace, one with a King kicker one with a Queen. AK showed first and was thrown in the muck, and when AQ showed they thought they had won. The dealer had to fish the cards out of the muck, which I have never seen before. It was just strange, and it seems like it could lead to confusion and problems. Again, didn't happen during my play, but just something to be aware of. I'll probably be back, because it is close and I really liked the floor guy and the servers. There are also a lot of really nice and chill people playing here. But I don't want to play somewhere that allows harassment and intimidation, so I really hope that that doesn't happen again.

Kevin W.

Yelp
When you get in early and you see a random casino next door to your hotel, you gamble! Super tiny casino. Probably less then 20 table. Mainly holdem was played here. They had a few other table games. Happy to see pai gow. They offer free dinner boxes which was a surprise. It was bbq chicken or a salad. Seemed like their were a ton of regulars. I would be pretty sketched out playing poker against a bunch of friends. You will probably get hustled. Typical hole in the wall casino, helped kill an hour of the night before we got weirded out and left.

Nadeem A.

Yelp
If you play poker, don't come here! I promise you, you willl not get a seat for hours!!! For real for real! I've been here 6 times and I've called in advance. They have a list system that's trash. They only have one table, and won't start another one until there are nine people to play. So if you I wanna just sit and chill, come on down. If you wanna play poker, find another spot. This ain't it!

Yelp
This regarding Tod's remark about Jason. The place has culture that requires intelligence sense of humor witch you have to apply to Jason's behavior. That's why it's not a typical Copration with staff that can do anything with out rules that only applies in la La Land. Elite clubs requires higher standard to preserve its culture, might appear negative but it is rewarding when fully understand the difference. What you have felt cheated in the poker game. But what you did not notice that social part of the poker game that all other card room is lacking as if you were playing in online game. THE GAMES GOLDEN RULES MUST BE RESPECTED with good sportsmanship attitude Jason is fair you have know that he has principles with Military background!! How come no one talks about the positive elements Free lunch and dinner"IT WOULD BE NICE TO CHANE THE MENUE" once every decade. But it is very nice of theme

Yelp
ERBY IS THE F**KING BEST!! 5 star customer service, 6 star hot dogs, TRULY A GEM. always made sure we had water and were having fun. the definition of a good woman.

Yelp
We decided to check out this place only because it was conveniently located adjacent to the DoubleTree Hotel at American Canyon. And quite honestly, there was really nothing much to do at night around the area. My hometown happened to be the Las Vegas in Asia, so I was very used to seeing those gigantic and fancy casinos that are located inside luxurious hotels. Let me just say this might be the smallest casinos I've ever seen in my life and it was quite eye-opening. We stopped by around 11pm on a Tuesday night. Judging from the patrons hanging out/smoking outside, I can already predict the clienteles profile of the casino. When I walked it, it was exactly what I expected. Based on what I observed, most of the patrons are blue-collar. Although I came from a city where there are more casinos than parks, I am surprisingly not really a gambler. The only gambling I know how to do is Blackjack. The smallest bet for Blackjack was $5, which was pretty good for me. I stayed at the minimum table for a little while and the dealers I have encountered were all pretty chill and friendly. I am more of a jokester and like to lighten the mood. They were all cool about it and were nice to me although I was the Asian who was not blessed with good maths skill. I stayed for a little bit and decided to move around. One thing bad about this casino is that you can't really walk around or do anything else if you decide to take a break or wait for someone, because it is really hella small. However, dealer Bill at the Baccarat table saw me awkwardly walking around and decided to teach me how to play Baccarat. Since there weren't anyone playing, he really took his time to explained the rule and played two rounds of demo with me. I ending up learning how to play the game and played a couple around at the table. Thanks to him, now I have one more option at the casino :D Although there was a drunk patron that was pretty annoying, the experience was overall pleasant only because of the friendly and welcoming employees. However, I would suggest not going there by yourself if you were a girl.

Yelp
I really enjoy coming to this casino all the dealers and very friendly and inviting when your there makes you feel at home don't know about you but I pick a casino by how the environment is brings positive vibes to the players keep it up guys your doing a great job!

Marcial S.

Yelp
I've given this place a few chances and can say it's my least favorite casino. The major issue I have is that there is a person sitting at all the tables betting against you! Terrible vibes to have if you're there to have fun, make some money, or both. They also whisper to the dealer often, so the sketchy vibe is even more enhanced. I play blackjack often, and can usually ride on $50 for at least 2 hours. I've been here and gotten bought out very fast both times. I'm aware it's a game of luck, but this place really tries to stack the odds against you. Drink service non existent to my knowledge. Worth the extra drive somewhere else

Yelp
Won $50,000 here in September! Miracles do happen! Going to buy a new set of breasts and a diamond encrusted vibrator. #winning

Yelp
MISS IT SO BAD, WILL BE GOING HARD WHEN IT OPENS. This place is awesome, they have free food every day between 8PM and 11PM (or until it runs out) and the black jack dealers are super nice. The first thing they said to me when I walked in was "go get some free food!" and it was good!

Girlie G.

Yelp
Updating. I've loved playing here about a handful of times on my way up to the wine country. I've wanted to get good at the game. Loved this place... Till this morning. Sunday morning some hard core old retired mean white dudes play. Were judgmental and impatient. No humor. Just judgmental and rude to me and another newer player. Also the dealer wasn't too helpful and rude too, didn't help us, didn't speak up. I'm no pro, but Id never gotten attitude from players before. I was surprised and disappointed. Ruined my day. My buddy was joining me for an hour or two of play. I left and said, don't bother. Glad she didn't. I left after about 20 minutes. Who needs assh***s to judge you. Don't they want to grow the game? Didn't they want the few hundred bucks my buddy would have lost? Haha. Totally opposite experience I've had here in Friday and Saturday nights. Then, it's is good mix of regular folks. I like to play and enjoy the game. I don't care if I lose or win. I can afford it. I don't need stress. Def not "the happiest casino" on Sunday mornings for sure. Oh well. We went elsewhere and did other things. Lovely day outside. Don't know if I'd come back. Head guy was super nice. And so was wait staff. As always.

Yelp
Cute little poker room. Nothing Vegas like at all. Good action on table but have been to much nicer Cali Poker rooms

Pio B.

Yelp
When I entered the Napa Valley Casino (NVC), I thought that there would be more than just poker tables. There was a pai gow table and a blackjack table. This was about 3 or 4 years ago. Just recently I re-enter the casino and have been playing the 3/6 fixed-limit hold 'em tables a lot more often. More so now because of the ban of "big name" online poker sites. (Thanks US Government. *snerk*) NVC is just a poker room. When you enter the casino you get one of two (or both) reactions, either: (1) dealers/players look your way as you enter the door, and/or (2) one of the floor supervisors greeting you as you walk inside, provided that they aren't busy. Nevertheless, whether you choose to play at the no-limit hold 'em, fixed-limit hold 'em, or omaha hi poker tables, you will be treated like you were always part of the community. The dealers are friendly and professional. The floor supervisors and other service staff are courteous and willing to cater to your requests within reason. The casino is small. There are six tables dedicated to poker, three other tables dedicated to pai-gow fortune, blackjack, and 3-card poker with bonus, and a VIP poker table snug in the back room. Each of the said 3 tables require you to pay a small fee for playing each hand. 1) Pai-gow requires $1 to play, the win payout is 1:1 disregarding the 5% win tax regardless of how large the bet size. $10 minimum bet. 2) Blackjack requires $0.50 to play. $10 minimum bet. 3) Three-card poker requires $0.50 to play. The rules of this game is similar to rules at other casinos. $5 minimum bet, $5 minimum bonus if electing to play, and matched bet to call your hand. Floor supervisors typically address you by your first name which adds to a positive atmosphere. You'll feel like part of the community.. no "sir" or "ma'am" when addressing you. Save for the dealers, but if you frequent Napa Valley Casino they will learn your name and address you by it until forever it seems. Now for the poker room/playing details: * Floor supervisors are usually your chip runners. OR any free dealer not on duty dealing would be your chip runner. OR any service staff that have free time would be your chip runner. Dealers will call out for chips and do it promptly. *Dealers rotate constantly, say every 30 - 40 minutes. * Feel like having a sandwich while you play? Ask for service and the service staff will whip you up a sandwich... for FREE! Same goes for chips, cup-o-noodles, water, coffee, tea, and beer. Did I mention dinner if you stick around dinner time hours? Dinner too. * Dealer button fee applies. That is you pay a fee pre-flop as the button comes around to you on the button. * Dealers and possibly floor supervisors will sit at the table and play poker with you. To my observation, the chips the staff play with is house money. To my understanding, the reason dealers/floor supervisors do this is to build the house advantage in taking your chips as well as the dealers/supervisors observing the players tendencies at the "customer" perspective. * There are jackpot bonuses for Royal Flush attainment and Bad Beat showdowns for Texas Hold 'em only. Other things you might want to know, as of this writing, is that NVC: 1) Plans to expand. 2) Do not allow smoking inside the casino. 3) Have 3 ATMs. 4) Seems to have less dealers in the morning than at night. 5) Have poker tourneys during the weekend. 6) Do not update their website very often and is sometimes neglected. Overall, I love this place. If they ever have a christening of their casino expansion, I would like to be there for it. The crew at NVC are amazing and do the best they can to make customer service their top priority. With the good things they have going on now as well as their flaws, I can only see this casino growing to new heights. For now they get a strong 4 stars out of 5!!

Jeff A.

Yelp
Fun little poker room! The staff was off the hook, made me feel like a regular from the minute I walked in the door! Bonus money available on your first visit, how cool is that! Free dinner! Juts a cool little spot with good action and fun games, limit, no limit, and omaha were all spread while I was around... I would go back for sure next time I am in the area!

Michelle L.

Yelp
I am more of a blackjack player. I did not see too many reviews on this game so I gave the casino a call today to learn more. The gentleman that picked up the phone sounded friendly and knowledgable. There are at least two blackjack tables, one 6 deck machine shuffle and one double deck hand shuffle. Blackjacks pay 6 to 5. However, late surrendering is allowed after hitting and as of recently, bankers will pay collections as opposed to the players. I'm excited to try this place out and all of the free food that I keep on reading about. I will update this review after my visit tomorrow. Just left the casino. This place is small which is nice because i didnt have to deal with a crowded table with people messing up the cards. There were about 10 tables, poker, blackjack, 3 card, pai gow and no slots. I was the only female in the room besides the dealers. Because of that, I probably wouldn't feel comfortable coming here by myself at night. Everyone was very nice. Service was good. I really enjoyed the late surrendering rule. I would like it better if Blackjacks paid 3 to 2. Made $800 in one hour. Will come back.

John W.

Yelp
This is a card room and they do follow the California state rules of a card room. I want to clear up confusion on a previous review. The folks that sit at the table handing out chips are from a 3rd party company and they are classified as players too. This is the only way the card rooms can pay cash to card players at non Native American casinos in California. This place is awesome, they have free food every day between 8PM and 11PM (or until it runs out) and the black jack dealers are super nice. The first thing they said to me when I walked in was "go get some free food!" and it was good! The parking lot has security, and the environment is cozy to say the least. I recommend this casino over a larger less regulated casino. Next time I'm in the bay, I will most likely go back!

Michael H.

Yelp
It may be small but this little place is fun and the employees/management are always helpful. Always fun to chat with each dealer as they rotate. Bill IS THE MAN! It's employees like him that keep me coming back. Fun joint.

Todd E.

Yelp
If you don't know someone who works there, don't bother going. Got close to $100 hosed from me by another player....but since I was the only one at the table who didn't know the entire staff, I was basically dismissed by the floor manager Jason. But since he had a girl who was BOUGHT INTO THE TABLE hanging all over him while he watched play, I guess that shouldn't surprise me. I understand "enforcing the rules", but common sense is common sense--and Jason is severely lacking in it. Basically, if you want to feel like an outsider and get treated like garbage, this is your place. If you have any semblance of class and want to find a place to have fun and enjoy your time....I would suggest ANYWHERE else. As an addendum....agreed sir. On video, that it exactly what happened. And I agree that I mucked my cards, and that declares my hand dead. My entire dispute has to do with how things played out beyond that. I tried to be rational, then I left the table without incident. When I called to even voice my displeasure, that is when I felt insulted and attached. And once again, none of this disputes the fact that the way Jason treated me was unprofessional and rude. So I will update my review. 3 stars for the fact that you followed the law, and I respect that. Zero stars for the customer service and the fact that you are ok with the person running your game actively caressing a player while on the clock. I withdraw my meth dealer comment....but there are still WAY better poker and gambling options around. I appreciate your response, and I have amended my review as such.

Leeanna E.

Yelp
We wont be back!!! We gave this place a 3rd try/ 2nd chance last night. Horrible!!! Terry the floor manager is a good guy...I think he tries at least, but there are several dealers in this place, who are rude and condescending !!! Terrible time, terrible business. At least treat me with respect while I sit there and spend my money!!! If I come to your place of business and drop $200-$500 each time I think you can at least be nice to me!!! Synopsis: -Rude employees -Dirty Bathrooms -My car was broken into 3 different times in their parking lot. - I have seen drug deals take place at the tables. We used to frequent this place about 1 - 4 times a month because my husband and I are both poker junkies. It is a bit closer than driving all the way to the larger Casinos. There are a lot of great people that work here, but there are 2 dealers in particular whom are so rude, I will never go there again!!! My first bad experience happened when the aforementioned dealer was working the bar area. I asked her for dinner (which they provide free to the players). She told me she did not have any left other than a little chicken which was cold. What bothered me is she had clearly set aside food for herself and other employees of the beef and potatoes. They had more than enough, but they were saving it all for themselves. Said dealer, later on that night "cut me off" as she said she would not serve me more than one beer an hour. Which really irritates me as 1. I was not driving, and 2. I like to drink beer while I play poker. It was clear she was on a mission to "be better than me" Furthermore, she did not serve me a beer for over an hour and a half. I was not even drunk or doing anything that would merit them not serving me! On the next time I was in this same woman repeated the last scenario but to make matters worse before I had even had one beer she was rolling her eyes at me while she was dealing. She than began to talk to one of the other dealers about me. My husband says he has not experienced the same thing, so if your a male it may be ok. But the Asian women dealers CLEARLY do not like white women, and they are beyond rude. They roll their eyes at you, and are very condescending!!! It is true what the other reviews say about it being dirty, but really if your just looking to play cards you may not care. They let the men use the women's restroom and they are both NASTY!!! Better to go to the hotel next door and use the restroom in the lobby there it is very clean. There are a lot of shady types that hang out here. For example, if you pay attention you will see people "stop by" and get handed something under the table by , then one of the shady looking players will get money from said "stopper by" saying "her is the money I owe you for rent" or some other bull. Basically they are selling weed to the "stop ins" right at the table. One of the last straws was when I car got broke into for a 3rd time at this place. It is in a very bad neighborhood and albeit security, theft is rampant.

Bill H.

Yelp
This casino is a joke! One of the only casinos in California still taking collection on table games (blackjack, 3-card, pai-gow) Sort of funny that on the tables it says "friendliest casino in California " NOT really, especially when the banker wanted to argue with me that all casinos still require collection! Stay away folks!! 3 card odds suck with no 6 card bonus. Poker drops also seemed high. I visited, left and will never go back. If Zero stars were an option I would have rated Napa Valley Casino ZERO stars.

Mai Chor V.

Yelp
Nice and small friendly casino. It has many CAL games that I don't have to pay collection play anymore like EZ baccarat, black jack and three card poker...etc. Free lunch and dinner that the casino catered in to serve their customer..a plus!

Chrissy A.

Yelp
small, good people having a good time, odds are better than any other casino in the area. Food, drinks, not to mention 3 card poker... love this place.

Maninderpal M.

Yelp
I go here when I'm in the area, they have 3/6 and 4/8 holdem and no limit poker, they also have 3 card poker, blackjack and pai gow. The action is good and they give out free lunch and dinner. It's a nice small casino but I like it. Oh and they also have lots of tournaments etc.

Carlos W.

Yelp
I wish I could give negative stars... I think I am a very good Black Jack player I play $200 per hand the reason why I said how much I play is that most beginners don't play this amount...so to the point I think this place is shady I have played all over from Vegas, Reno, all bay area casinos so I went to this scanless place and lost 12 stright hands I mean my luck can't be that bad also I understand that I am not going to win every hand but 12 stright!!!!! NEVER AGAIN. ....But good luck if you go

Raj H.

Yelp
This place is awesome. Friendly, lots of action and free drinks and food. I don't know any other card rooms that gets food catered for everyone and everyday!

Joseph T.

Yelp
Love how this place is right at home and how they have a huge TV behind the table to enjoy the game while trying to win some money. Love how they serve dinner at night. Me and my brother try to stop by to play a couple games a couple times a month. Good to see the same people each time we come

Tom C.

Yelp
Very small, quaint card room with more games than you would expect. A lot jammed into a small place, but if you like cards then ya gotta try this place at least once.

Linda K.

Yelp
The one star is for the dealer..the negative 4 stars are for the bitchy old ladies playing three card calling us greedy for playing 2 hands. How rude!! And what bad mojo!! We won't go back!! Rather make the hour and half trip to another casino where players mind their mouth and enjoy playing!

Matthew M.

Yelp
The Napa Valley Casino is a tiny little poker room with tons of fun and fascinating characters. Do you ever just wanna get away from the hoity toitiness of the Valley. Why not just get down and dirty and play some Texas Hold'em! They have tournaments daily I believe starting at 6. They always have 2-4 limit going on and there is always a full no-limit game going on. They also recently started doing black jack again on the weekends. So, if you need a quick fix for some gambling and your in the Valley go to the casino, its really really fun!

Yelp
Alright, lets cut the BS. Despite its small size, this is by far the best place to play poker in the bay area. It is one of the last few poker rooms in existence that actually cares about its players. Here are just a few reasons to make this poker spot your go-to destination: - Free food and drinks. Free Sandwiches, water and soda. (Free dinner served at 7pm daily) - The juiciest and biggest No-Limit Hold em' game in the bay ($10,000 on the table on most nights) 1-2-3 Blinds. - Among the lowest rake in the bay! $3+1 Jackpot rake, $1 rake for no flop. - The friendliest dealers and floor staff in the business. - Located in beautiful AND safe American Canyon, so your security is never an issue. On-site security guard on duty, all night. So if you're in the East Bay and you are thinking of going to the Oaks Club, California Grand or others, save your money, your time, and your dignity and go to a place that takes its players, and its poker, seriously: Napa Valley Casino

Yelp
They have shuffle machines in the poker tables but DO CUT THE CARDS! No one was willing to explain it except to say "its our policy" shady....also it is a stretch to call it self a casino it is tiny. It is more like private game which would be fine if they cut the cards. We play poker all over the country and have never been shocked by a card room until this one.

Yelp
This is a great little poker room outside of Napa. They have very friendly staff and some fun cash games. The crowd is friendly and the location is nice. What more do you need. Try to go during busier times as they can get slow, and the games get crazy out of player boredom. The black-jack game is always empty, but it is fun while waiting for a table. Enjoy!

Yelp
This is NOT a "seedy" casino where the patrons are "shady" and live in their cars, nor is it dirty by any means. I wouldn't patronize this place unless I felt safe. The parking lot is huge and very close to the entrance.(Hate long walks like Casino San Pablo.) Pros: 1) I'm a big fan of the 4-8(half kill 6-12)Limit Texas Hold Em. If a player wins two pots consecutively, they post $6 and it becomes 6-12 for that hand. It's really ACTION GALORE! 2) The floor managers and dealers are professional and attentive to the customer's needs. They will remember your name after a few visits. 3) There is no kitchen but they will make you free sandwich any time. Just tell the waitress what kind of sandwich you want and just tip her 1 or 2 bucks. Coffee is FREE all day long. Cons: 1) Since there's no kitchen, you have no choice but to stick with the sandwich. However, there is FREE dinner that is served around 7:30PM and they cater in this food. Also during the weekdays, this "TACO" truck arrives for lunch and this very nice Mexican lady will take your order and bring it in to the casino. BELIEVE ME, their tacos are out of the world! As in any other casinos around the Bay Area, one should ALWAYS be aware of their surroundings when they are going home. PREDATORS are every where but most of them can go INCOGNITO much easier at the large mega casinos. AT NVC, everyone inside the premise are PLAYERS, not LOITERERS!

Yelp
Leeanna E.'s Review is scandalous. There has to be more to her story. No place is perfect, but for a small room I think this is a pretty decent place. To say they are selling drugs at the table is preposterous. Like most casinos they have cameras trained on every table. I doubt these dealers would risk jobs, licenses or jail for a few bucks. I've never heard the one beer an hour policy. I wish they ran more tournaments like they used to. I like the food/drink service. You can serve yourself coffee, tea, or water anytime and save yourself the constant tipping for a free coffee etc. I'd rather drive from Vacaville to NVC than go to Cache Creek where the dealers truly are horrible, and rude. They learn it from their Napoleanic floorman I suppose. There are a better vareity of games at NVC and the lighting is way better.

Yelp
The dealers seemed nice...but the ppl sitting at the table controlling the "bank" seemed like they were bored...you can't beat free drinks and NFL Sunday ticket.....would be nice to just hang out and watch the game and order drinks...but you have to sit and gamble at the tables unless you are accompanying someone who is gambling.....a tiny hole in the wall pace where you dont have to walk far from table to table....

Yelp
Not a fan, better places to go not to terribly far away! I didn't play long here and was f impressed from start to finish so took my gambling elsewhere.

Yelp
A casino?? FALSE advertising!! What a joke!! I thought casino's had slots and free drinks?? Was in the area for a funeral and thought we would go play some blackjack at this so called casino. Its more like a card room. Weird vibe and not as advertised. Save your time and money and drive the distance to a real casino.

Yelp
Very diverse, Super friendly. Small little family feel. I was visiting for work and wanted to play some poker so I stopped in. $30 bonus for first time visitors with 2 hours of poker play.

Yelp
Stay AWAY. This is not a one star but a negative review. Something strange happened. The dealer, whom I later was told was a long term employee/dealer, became very nervous. I was playing blackjack. The game was using a shoe and six decks. I've played casino games for some 40 years and know to expect almost anything. Odds can be long term. However, the frequency of blackjack for the dealer was quite surprising. So, I started watching very carefully, and the dealer became very nervous. Strangely, it "seemed" that the shoe was not dealing properly. Further, a few cards suddenly were face up coming out of the shoe even though NONE were face up going into the shoe. Then, there was a complete misdeal, with a blackjack going to my friend, but the house unwound the deal and gave the blackjack to the house. Total ripoff. Remember, when you are at an Indian Casino, you are in another Country. It is like you are in Canada or France. You have no recourse. They can rip you off as much as they want. I am not saying this occured, but the dealer sure acted like it as she had a complete nervous breakdown when I started paying attention to her dealing. Very sad as at first I was really excited by the feeling of the place as an old time casino with real people and fun games. From the reviews I've read, the place isn't what it use to be as a casino.
