We’ve been loyal customers of the Chiswick branch for a while and recently have been going to the Richmond branch where we decided to celebrate our wedding anniversary on the 18th of June. We made sure to mention it when booking, so I thought it would have been nice if the staff had at least acknowledged the occasion. Of course, we weren’t expecting a complimentary drink or anything extravagant. Just a simple gesture to connect with us as guests would have been enough. That kind of rapport is what makes people want to come back again and again to a restaurant.
Unfortunately, I value customer service above all else, and this experience left us feeling underwhelmed.
While the pizzas we had were good, the tiramisu was tasteless, especially for the price, which was also disappointing. On a positive note, the house wine and limoncello were both good as well.
To top it off, we were given the bill before we even asked for it. It felt like the staff were more focused on turning tables quickly than making their guests feel welcome.
