"If you’re keen to find a place in which to “lose yourself” and relax in the purest sense of the word, you won’t find anywhere quite like the Palacio de Rubianes, an authentic 14C Asturian-style property surrounded by verdant meadows and with the impressive summits of the Picos de Europa as a backdrop. Facilities here include attractive guestrooms and impressive market-inspired cooking bearing the signature of Esther and Nacho Manzano. Their cuisine is showcased on an à la carte and on two menus (Tradicional and Narbasu), all of which reveal authentic local flavours and include classic dishes from Casa Marcial, albeit from a more local perspective. Added interest is provided by the restaurant’s own kitchen garden on an old golf course, and a restored old mill standing alongside a stream to produce their own cornflour, which they then use to make their superb “tortos” appetisers." - Michelin Inspector

I absolutely loved our stay here, and wish we were there longer than one night. Standouts: - Food! Incredible dinner with wonderful service. Would have happily eaten there two nights in a row. - The location is stunning. Great views and natural scenery. Regret not taking advantage of the e-bikes or doing a hikes. Feels like there is a lot to do in the area. - Character of the property is wonderful, from aperitif’s on the terrace to the lovely garden upon entry. Things to note: - It’s clear they have taken over a previous hotel, so there is a mismatch between the elegance of the restaurant and the rather underwhelming room decor and amenities (ie cheap soaps, worn furniture, poor quality towels) - The breakfast room is a bit cramped and depressing While I loved my time here, I saw potential for it to be more consistent in style, standard and experience on the hotel side. Would I return or recommend it - ABSOLUTELY!

After my girlfriend had an accident in the Picos de Europa and required surgery, I found myself in need of a place to stay during her recovery. When I arrived at Narbasu, the kindness and support I received were truly heartwarming. They didn’t just provide a room—they offered genuine moral support at a very difficult time. If you value excellent service and compassionate hosts, this is the place to be. A special thank-you to Nacho, who went above and beyond to make sure I felt cared for. He truly has a heart of gold. Thank you for everything!

(Hotel review only, the restaurant is probably great.) This is a very nice hotel, situated in a beautiful rural setting. It’s not luxury lodging (nothing waiting for you in the room, a tiny shower) but they don’t claim to be. It’s in a beautifully renovated building and a good breakfast (except for the Nespresso coffee) is included. Getting from the hotel to magical (!) Casa Marcial is a bit of pain. Takes 30-40 minutes, including some tiny winding roads. If you plan on drinking, especially at night, you should opt for the 100€ round trip taxi. (Ouch.) I do NOT recommend the attic junior suite 401. The extra space is wasted and the beautiful countryside can only be seen through a small porthole, by standing on a little step. (And you’re guaranteed to smack your head on a beam at least once if you’re on the left side of the bed.) Get a normal room with a view.

A Hidden Gem of Peace and Hospitality – Unforgettable Narbasu Narbasu is not just a destination—it's an experience everyone should have at least once in their life. A place where time slows down and pure relaxation takes over. And a special thanks to Super Nacho, the true hero of our stay—his care and attention made everything unforgettable!"

An important thanks to Rocio, Nacho, Raquel, and Monste for making our stay at Narbasu and our dinner and breakfast so spectacular. They went out of their way to take such good care of us and make a birthday celebration extra memorable. This was a really special experience.

An outstanding hotel in all respects. The location is beautiful, surrounded by hills and meadows with a view of the Picos and the sound of the cowbells. The hotel itself is very tastefully renovated and decorated. The food and the service was also superb. We loved it so much we booked a second night here at the end of our holiday. Thanks so much for hosting us - we will be back!

So good we came back! This is one of the best finds we made on our trip. The staff are wonderful, the food is excellent and the hotel is beautifully decorated in a very tasteful and simple manner. Waking up to the sound of cow bells and having a view of the sunset over the Picos was just magical and the best start and end to our trip. We are already planning our return!
