A ‘Game of Thrones’ Pop-Up Bar Will Open in Downtown Houston - Eater Houston

"Winter is coming, Houston, in the form of yet another pop-up bar themed after a pop culture juggernaut. This time around, it’s HBO’s Game of Thrones. Just in time for the start of hurricane season and Houston’s sweatiest months, a new pop-up called Haus of Thrones will bring the wild world of Westeros to 505 Main Street. Per a press release, the pop-up will occupy a 10,000-square-foot multi-level set meant to take drinkers back to the epic series inspired by George R.R. Martin’s fantasy novels. Set to open on July 1, the pop up will last about four weeks. Haus of Thrones is the work of Asha Holloway, an experiential marketer and the creator of previous Houston pop-ups including those inspired by The Office and Harry Potter. Haus of Thrones looks to be Holloway’s most ambitious pop-up yet, with interactive sections designed to look like iconic Game of Thrones locations, including King’s Landing, The Infamous Wall of the Nights Watch, and Winterfell. Throughout the pop-up’s run, Haus of Thrones will offer weekly game nights with life-sized game pieces, costume contests, trivia and more. Holloway is also offering a few special packages for this pop-up, including a “Bus of Thrones” pre-party experience, in which guests can rent a GOT party bus to cruise around Downtown, complete with music from the television series, a Haus of Thrones t-shirt, and VIP entry to the pop-up. Tickets for the pop-up are already on sale, with timed entry, starting at $20. Food, drinks, and merchandise are sold separately. No word on what the menu will include, but here’s hoping that it’s more satisfying that the show’s finale." - Brittanie Shey

Nice place, it wasn't packed when we went. You get free booths, no fee to get in. Drinks were really good. Great music.

Drinks and service were better than we could have imagined. In addition, hookah was tasteful, and coal was burning exceptionally well. The clubs vibe is great and has the potential to outperform the competition around that area, making this a great club for a chill yet party environment!

A very shifty little bar that’s never busy but somehow in business. Has now changed to “Narcos”, how original. It’s quite the eyesore having an obnoxious dj outside yelling at pedestrians to try to bring in business with their BOGO drinks on a Friday night (rough). Just another few months and I’m sure the name will change, as they always do. Hoping they turn this into a convenience store, do something useful with that building.

Wow, I’m not one to post reviews, but hopefully I can help save your time & money since mine was wasted. Friends and I stood at the bar for at Least 30+mins and was ignored by the bartender. Ok, I most definitely understand it being busy so I waited patiently, politely. She continues to serve only the men, but then Finally heads our direction only to serve a group of girls who got there 15 or so mins After us. As we’re Still waiting, a man shoves me and pushes himself & card to the bar, but yet he gets served almost immediately..? We even had the manager with us who asked her repeatedly for our drinks, only to be ignored. So, management is definitely lacking. Also, the staff was drinking & in front of you, just seems really unprofessional? If you want to distract yourself with music since you can’t get drinks, that’s a no go as well. Music was just not it, neither was the crowd. Plenty of other bars out there with amazing, wonderful staff, music, and vibes. I suggest you go to one of those. This was sadly, the worst experience I’ve had out to a bar/club.

Great experience. No cover, free booths. No crowd. Drinks were good. Hookah was amazing and they kept up with the coals! Service was A1! Waitresses are amazing. If you’re looking for a crowd, this isn’t it but if you’re tryna vibe and have good service and good DJ, this is it!

Visiting from out of town and very bad experience. None of the staff was wearing masks. Staff was drinking and smoking during shift. Bartender didn’t follow any safety protocols and proceeded to touch all the open straws/drinks. On top of that, they had a service charge. Expensive drinks, poor hygiene, weak cocktails, poor service. Looks like this place needs more than new management. Shut it down.

Everything was overpriced. The drinks were weak, $13 margaritas tasted like triple sec. The bathrooms were a mess with no soap and no paper towels. Only good experience was the music.
