Good food and really helpful and friendly staff. The decor is great, although a few more Persian touches would make it better. Felt like eating home made food..no fancy frills. We only had a selection of starters, but it was so good. Lots of seating, even outside overlooking the Thames.

Came here with a group of five and had a really enjoyable meal. The atmosphere was pleasant and relaxed, and the staff were very friendly and attentive from the moment we arrived. They handled our table well and made sure everything was served smoothly. The food was excellent—fresh, flavorful, and nicely presented. Everyone at the table was happy with their choices, and the portions were generous. We spent just over £100 for the five of us, which felt like very good value for the quality and amount of food we received. Overall, a great dining experience with good service and tasty food. I’d definitely recommend this place for a meal with friends or family and would happily visit again.

You got to wait a long time until the food arrives at the table! This Iranian or Persian restaurant could be nicer if they could manage bringing food earlier, not so late. Although not a very big place, narrow and with limited seats, with many friendly staff working on weekends but yet the kitchen chef is very very slow , and I mean it very slow. Food is good, not amazing but good to satisfy. Price is not so high but not low either. Location is water front and excellent, the ambient is authentic. Overall rating is 3 to maximum 4 because of super slow kitchen.

Persian restaurant that's very authentic with the decorations and cooking. Ordered a delicious chicken with flatbread and s lamb with flatbread. They have an open grill which is wood and charcoal fired as well as s bread oven at the front when you walk in. The restaurant itself is long and narrow with s few table outside looking towards the river. Bit of a weird set up with Steins next door having a terrace that cuts across the back of the restaurant do views of the Thames not direct. Anyway the food was quick, fresh and absolutely delicious! Great for a quick bite of a selection of starters would extend your evening. Garlic and chilli sauce brought with food so you could help yourself. Staff attentive but no hassle. I'll definitely be back soon.

I shall say, Narenj was a good restaurant couple of years ago. But this time was one of the worst. The KASHKEBADEMJOON was perhaps two spoon of quantity wise and full of salt. The JOOKEH was to salty too. Too expensive for and not quality food. And when we told them as we paid for the food, the owner didn't offer any discount although my mom has been going to this restaurant many times! The view in the balcony is beautiful though. That's all.

Delicious Persian cuisine on the riverside of the Thames. What could be better? Koobideh was moist & the basmati rice was fluffy & flavorful. Wonderful customer service. A real local gem in Kingston.

Visited with my (Iranian) boyfriend for dinner and greatly enjoyed the experience. The atmosphere is very cosy, if a little crowded, and very warm. It was nice to see the food being made in the front window to add to the authenticity. The waiters were nice, particularly when speaking Persian with my SO, but otherwise didn't put too much effort into great service. I will say though, that our waitress' ability to memorise multiple orders without writing them down was impressive. The food was delicious! We ordered the koubideh and barg lamb dishes, both of which came with hefty portions of rice and made it very much worth the cost. We also had the most delicious naan for starter, which I highly recommend. Without my boyfriend's expertise on Persian food, however, I wouldn't have known what to pick as the English descriptions of the meals lacked much detail. Will definitely be returning again for more of that saffron rice!

Very impressed with this place. Nice atmosphere, chilled glasses for beers/white wines. Staff very good - attentive but not overly so. The food selection is very good but not ridiculous, also good selection for vegetarians - all the starters are veggie, 3 main dishes were. Food tasted great. We had naan, meze selection, noodle soup, mixed grills stews and salads. All very fresh and delicious! All the food was great but fav part for me was the Baklava. Best I ever ate. Just melted in the mouth...

Came here for dinner on New Year's Eve as the menu looked interesting and the restaurant was busy but not fully booked. Service was welcoming and helpful. We chose a couple of dips for starters to share - a creamy yoghurt with spinach and garlic and a tasty hummus served with the most delicious flat bread warm from the oven. The main courses all looked good and the portions generous. The prices were reasonable too. We had a slow cooked chicken dish and a vegetarian stew and a good bottle of house wine. Great way to end 2016 and then a walk back along the river to get home and welcome in the New Year. Will definitely visit again and try some of the other starters. The restaurant overlooks the river so in the summer it will be nice to sit on their river terrace.

My husband and I went here twice on our visit to Kingston. It was absolutely perfect! Delicious food kind service and wonderful atmosphere.
