Wow, all I can say is wow. If you are looking for good prices on Indian products, this is a great place to shop. Their spice selections are extensive, and their beans and grain selections are amazing. If your diet includes beans, stop buying cans of beans at the supermarket and learn how to make them yourself. One of those oversized bags of beans and rice will easily feed you for a year for close to nothing compared to what u pay for the cans. Of course no one is going to eat rice and beans for a year. It's just an example. The preprepared and frozen products are more expensive than what u would find a supermarket, but the variety is also way, way more extensive. They also have fresh items that are essential for flavoring Indian foods such as fenugreek, cilantro, and they even had moringa, again, at a very reasonable price. Also, the day I went the place was not crowded and I was able to take my time and browse to my heart's content. I'm quite sure I could go there a week straight and not see everything there is available.

Have been going to place over six years . They bought the liquor store made it larger than what used to be . There are plenty of Indian sweets available along with fresh vegetable produces, frozen vegetables, Good this about this place plenty of car parking available. This store is located in a strip small which also house Kohl ( discount branded clothing store) , first food store , shoe store , dollar stores. While coming for grocery shopping in Narmada people can visit others store as three needs . Costco on couple of minutes drive from this place . Clifton Commons is located only few minutes away from this . Buses to NYC city available near Clifton commons throughput the day . Target is also located very close to this place . I would expect they should put more fish like rohu, bigger size Hilsa in the frozen fish section.

Google
One of the best Indian stores in the area. I used to go to journal square Indian street in the past to buy Indian groceries but after finding Narmada, we no longer go any place else. It has everything you need (along with variety of options/brands to choose from) and the produce quality is great.

I picked up these store prepacked bindis on 8/12 evening. Called up store on 8/14 to inform most of the bindis 2.90 lbs have this white fungus and are rotten. Spoke to Mehul (can say store manager) there policy is no return or exchange on vegetables. My question was then why you all pre pack and sell the items with such policy. He had no answer. Suggest do not trust this store, as they prepack rotten and bad quality with no responsibility on their head. Not worth 1 star.

I have been a loyal customer of Narmada for last 7-8 years but the quality and prices have both changed.. last few times the dry good we bought were either spoilt or expired or had issues. Below is the picture of boondi it almost smelled of mold and Morton salt which is a dupe..The fresh produce is excellent .. I hope they improve the service and quality..

Excellent customer service and I think it’s the owner, he’s really helpful. Great place!

Google
Decent place to shop for Indian groceries. We found the selections to be modest, with plenty of parking outside. Honest restaurant next door makes the shopping trip worthwhile.

Yelp
Narmada Indian Groceries in Clifton, NJ is conveniently located and has lots of parking. The staff is super friendly and the store is clean and well layed out. They have an amazing assortment of South Asian spices, vegetables, lentils, nuts, frozen foods, mixes, etc., and prices are more than reasonable. Not only is the staff helpful but, if you're like me and are new to Indian cooking, everyone in the store is a resource. Over the past few months, other patrons have told me which are the best frozen foods, how much paneer to buy when making saag paneer for two, how to prepare green lentils and what some of the unfamiliar ingredients (like curry leaves) are and are for. If you like Indian food, or if your just looking for somewhere to buy reasonably priced spices and other ingredients, give Narmada a try.

Yelp
The prices here are almost 3 times the price anywhere else. The store smells really very bad. Sorry, but not recommended at all

Yelp
Good Indian grocery. Has all the staples and more. After their renovation last year it is laid out better. Large shop. Friendly staff.

Yelp
This is one of the only indian grocery stores in my area in north jersey. it's very convenient with a lot of parking, and they have all of the things I need to make indian food during the week. There are some reviews on here about long lines but I have never had to wait more than 10 minutes in line (I typically go during rush hour too) so I think that may have been resolved. Big fan!

Yelp
Not bad place. Kind of expensive compared to Jersey City and Edison but it is closer to home so you deal with it. Lines can get long after 3PM but they have recently added another register. Be mindful to keep an eye while they scan items, they have made "mistakes" before.

Yelp
The store carries so much of Indian ingredients all under one roof. The grains pulses are so fresh that I could sprout them The staff is welcoming and would guide you if you cannot find the item you need Their items have no compromise on quality The very best money can buy Their masala/ spice section is awesome You will keep coming back to this store and discover so much more Highly recommend this store for Indian ingredients Go ahead make curries and pulao's

Yelp
Worst experience ever... A cashier named Pallavi seems very rude and is not very welcoming. When requested to get an item from where she is standing, she does not want to help and says- 'Whatever you want to get make it quick, I have other customers to take care of' Well, first of all every cashier who stands near those items that are hard to reach for a customer, always grabs me one but she seemed disinterested. Either, she was lazy or is not happy to do her job. Narmada is my one stop for Indian groceries but if people like her are not willing to do their jobs, I would stop going there...

Yelp
Friendly people, a great selection of South Asian groceries and great prices on vegetables, fruit, rice, beans, and other basics as well as delicious Indian treats. Lots of easy parking nearby which is wonderful!

Yelp
They have huge amount of stock and variety for a small store. You can find anything you need and everything is organized and neat. I've been several times and it is always doing pretty good business and the produce is fresh. I assume the products are fresh as they seem to be getting turned over and restocked often. Freezer section is great, every kind of naan and parata and frozen meals.

Yelp
A convenience store it is not. They don't know how to work the cash register and people don't understand the concept of waiting your turn. Gave up after being on line for 20 minutes. Won't be back

Yelp
The service sucks at this store. The owner is a big miser who doesn't want to spend money on hiring cashiers so there is always this ridiculous line where you stand and watch this single slow and untrained cashier who is wasting even more time by dumb actions. Seriously, I would rather drive 10 minutes more to go to Patel Brothers where the store is efficient and much bigger inventoey than come to this ridicilous store.
