Chef Paul Nagan Will Open a New American Restaurant This Summer - Eater Denver

"The new hotel, Nagan’s Narrative restaurant, and a rooftop bar, lounge, and pool are slated to open sometime this summer at 222 Milwaukee Street. Details of Narrative are still sparse, but diners can expect new American food, shared plates, and a 1,000-bottle wine selection. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be served daily in a setting with floor-to-ceiling windows and lots of marble." - Josie Sexton

Google
This is a modern and airy space, but the food is just ok for a high end hotel restaurant. We enjoyed the fresh rolls and as a butter connoisseur of good butter, it had a great texture, but could have used some flake salt. The main entrees weren't bad, they just didn't stand out, especially for the price. Service was friendly and prompt.

Google
Took my son here for his 19th birthday My son has a uniquely developed palate - at 4 his favorite food were lamb chops and Alaskan king crab legs. He rarely raves, but wouldn’t stop about the food Highly recommend

Google
A favorite place to hangout and have really good food. It is located in the heart of cherry creek north with access to the elegant Jacquard Hotel What a hopping place! The bar is very comfy to chill out at any time with full service. Food is great and drinks are delish! Service is really up and up…

Google
Narrative was one of my favorite places to eat. I was a regular and loved the burger, chopped salad, bread seriously sourdough pull apart rolls and the butternut squash soup. To name a few. Most of those are gone and the chopped salad has had a significant price increase. Anyway they have lost me as a customer because the food is not as good as it was and especially for the price. So sad because I still think about the rolls and soup!

Google
We had a great time at The Narrative! The crab cake was a standout—flavorful and well-balanced. Everything on the menu worked together beautifully. The real highlight for me was the tomato jam on the smash burger—sweet, tangy, and unforgettable. Drinks were well-crafted and paired perfectly.

Google
Absolutely beautiful restaurant! The food was immaculate, I got the burrata, the salmon and the most delicious dessert. The service was as TOP NOTCH! Everyone is so kind and attentive ☺️ 10/10 recommending everyone here!

Google
The Narrative is very classy and the food is amazing! The lobster corndogs were awesome. Our server Dora was very attentive and professional, nice and continuously checked in on us! Can’t wait till next time we come back, nothing but good vibes!

Google
Enjoyed the bar last night with Jillian and Joey. They took great care of us. Everything was wonderful, except they haven't had draft beer in months. They used to have the best beer in Cherry Creek, but no longer... Too bad.

Yelp
We ate in the restaurant and had room service. The salads are good except the chicken has been dry. The added shrimp is the best. The drinks and wine selection is good. The service was good while we were there.

Yelp
I rarely leave negative reviews (in fact, I've never left one), but my experience at Narrative was so disappointing and terrible that I feel compelled to warn others. Let me first start by saying that we were frequenters of this restaurant since it opened and had our experience not been so alarmingly terrible, we would have given them the benefit of the doubt as their food had always been reliable and we enjoyed the vibe. However, I feel compelled to warn people that the service staff, most notably the hostess staff, is not only incredibly under trained and abrasive, they are also incredibly dishonest. As a business owner in Denver and someone that entertains clients in Cherry Creek often I would caution anyone from dining at this restaurant- as not only do you risk having terrible service- but they are not above questioning your integrity. There are so many great places in Cherry Creek to dine- and I strongly suggest you frequent one of these places instead Narrative.

Yelp
- food mediocre (we order sea bass, pork, and Burrata appetizer) - old fashioned was missing ingredient - non-alcoholic drink was excessively sweet - I feel bad for waitstaff as kitchen is very slow

Yelp
We really enjoyed our server. He was great, friendly, prompt attentive. The food was all delicious. Good vibes all around.

Yelp
Pretty conflicted on how to rate this experience. The food was absolutely some of the best I've ever had in Denver, however the service was pretty awful. We arrived at 7pm on a Saturday. They were either short-staffed and/or they were hit with every table being sat at once. It took long enough to be greeted that my husband asked, "do we have a server?" When he finally came, our server was very brisk, all business, took our orders and immediately left.... Little eye contact, & no attempt to make a connection or rapport with us. I thought we had said or done something to upset him so when he did return I tried to be overly nice & polite, to no avail. We received our first round of drinks and then 5-10 minutes later placed our food order. I drank my glass of water right away and it was 1 hour and 20 minutes before anyone came back to our table, and that was only finally because I asked a busboy to send our server to us so we could order more drinks while we were still waiting on our food. It was another 5-10 minutes for our server to come take our 2nd round of drink orders after I asked for him to come. Still no water refill. 10 minutes later I had to ask someone to fill my water glass. When the food did finally arrive around 8:30/8:45pm it was absolutely incredible - so good that it almost made up for the terrible service. We ordered the Tuna Poke appetizer and the Bread Service to start. I can't imagine ever going here and not ordering the tuna again... it was a 10 out of 10, must-order dish. I should mention their Manhattan cocktail to start was the best Manhattan I've ever had. 10 out of 10. Hubby ordered an extra dirty martini and said it was fab. Daughter had the "Great Heights" mocktail and said it was delicious, resulting in a second order straight away. The bread (I think he called it milk bread?) was new to the menu and it was perfectly fluffy and delicious. 9 out of 10. Our party ordered the Scallops (10/10), Flat Iron Steak (8/10), Brick Chicken (10/10), and a Caesar Salad (6/10). 2 glasses of Jordan Chardonnay complemented the scallops and chicken well. The Salad was superfluous; I wish I hadn't ordered it in retrospect but I had read many reviews saying how amazing it was. For those wondering: It pales in comparison to Quality Italian's Little Gem Caesar in my opinion. For dessert we had the 10-yr Tawny Port (8/10) and the chocolate chip cookies with vanilla ice cream; the latter was the absolute perfect ending to the meal (10/10). The cookies were fresh-baked with a sprinkling of salt to complement the chocolate. Delish! I should mention that at this point the restaurant had cleared out quite a bit, and our server did come deliver an unsolicited apology to us for the awful service, which we appreciated him acknowledging. All in all, it's a toss-up whether I'll return. Paying $400 for lack-luster service was a bit underwhelming. Or if I do return, perhaps it won't be when they're busy on a Friday or Saturday night.

Yelp
We had such a lovely dinner here last night. The restaurant is higher end while feeling casual and homey. We loved the ambiance and decor of the space. Our waitress, Erica, was so much fun. She had great recommendations and was just a joy to engage with. We had the lobster hotdogs, mussels and corn soup to start. We love a good appetizer. These were all perfectly cooked with great flavor. We split the smash burger and a chopped salad for dinner and the burger was one of my favorites of all time. Drool worthy. Resisting the urge to go back again tonight but very tempted. If you're looking for a romantic dinner date spot or cozy meal with friends in Cherry Creek, this is a solid choice. We will be back next trip for sure!

Yelp
Inside is very large with a wallpaper of books! The staff are very friendly and courteous. The appetizers were very fancy and delicious! My favorite was the tuna poke with crispy rice paper, as well as their bread basket. The beef wagyu was alright. Good for a casual hang out to catch up with a friend

Yelp
We are mixed in this review as we had moments of good service and the sommelier was wonderful. We went with the Jordan Chardonnay and it was perfect. We ordered the bread first with the tuna appetizer. Both very flavorful but wanted some wasabi to go with the tuna and our waiter couldn't be found. We order the Cesear salad as the reviews on yelp sounded like it was great but we were very disappointed. Had no flavor. 3/10 And we had asked for it to come before our dinner but it came with our dinner. We had scallops which had amazing flavor but the portion was just 3 skimpy scallops. Also ordered the brick chicken and the flavor on the chicken was very good but the chicken was extremely dry. For dessert we had some sort of pudding with vanilla ice cream. I wish I could remember what the pudding was called but it was one of the best desserts we ever had. Not sure we would go back again but nice to try something different.

Yelp
Great food, small spacious, clean atmosphere in the bottom of Marriott hotel in Cherry creek. The food is delicious, smaller portioned, fresh, and interesting. We tried the brunch - great drinks! Tuna Poke App was great and the waiter had great recommendations for food. You can't go wrong with the chicken avocado chopped salad with "blackened" chicken! So gooood! We also tried the eggs Benedict!

Yelp
I loved the ambiance of this restaurant located in the lobby of the Jacquard hotel. They had complimentary valet because we were dining on premise. The service was slow, we stood at the hostess stand for several minutes waiting for an actual host to seat us. Our waitress had to be flagged over to get more drinks etc. The beef tartare was probably my least favorite menu item. It was very mustard heavy and was more like a meat salad (think tuna salad but with meat and mustard) than a refreshing tartare. The pork shoulder however was out of this world. Overall when traveling back to Denver, I think I would try my luck with one of the many many other dining establishments.

Yelp
What an amazing experience. Traveling for business and I decided to stay with the Jacquard autograph collection. Thank you to Dana (Restaurant manager) Adelino (General Manager) Shyanne (Hostess) Charles (Executive Chef) and Mariah (Server). Wow factor and exquisite service thank you to the team for making my first experience here in Denver a wow experience. A little worried at first since I am a local Hawaiian guy for Hawai'i but Snowing or not this hotel made it feel welcomed like at home. Great job Tommy Lloyd GM Hotel manager of the Jaquard Auto Graph Collection I will definitely be rave reviewing this property again!

Yelp
We stayed at the Jacquard hotel in Cherry Creek North and dined at their restaurant, Narrative for dinner during our stay. The place was packed, and we were seated in the main dining room. The aesthetic of the restaurant was airy with clean lines and a white bookshelf wall display was the main focal point. Our server Mariah was fantastic! She recommended each item we ordered and knew the menu inside and out. The Lobster Corndogs were served with jalapeño hot sauce & smoked pepper honey. The Tuna Poke was made with avocado, sesame ponzu, green onion, yuzu kusho, & furikake rice crackers. This starter was fresh & bright - the tender fish, creamy avocado, and delicately crisp rice crackers had a really good texture combination. The Caesar Salad was made with romaine, shaved pecorino, buttered panko, & cured egg yolk. This was one of the best Caesar salads we have had in Denver - the shaved pecorino generously coated each leaf of the crisp lettuce. The Braised Short Rib was made with mascarpone polenta, roasted mushrooms, hazelnut, & orange mustarda. The short rib was so tender it fell apart under our forks. It had a robust flavor of succulent beef and combined with the mascarpone polenta, it made for decadent bites. The Diver Scallops were made with butternut squash, parsnip, roasted apple, & cider gastrique.

Yelp
If you're considering Narrative for a private event, their staff should make you think twice. We tried to do a private event here, and no one from Narrative seemed to know what they were doing. This was a pretty sizable private dining event, something that Narrative is supposed to specialize in. They couldn't come through. They could hardly even return an email or phone call. It was shocking how much they ignored us and a guaranteed $3,000+ check. Because they never could figure things out (Narrative was our first choice!), we moved on to other restaurants like anyone would because we needed a place for our event. Somehow, they had the nerve to call us to confirm if we were coming 3 hours before our event. We never made a reservation. We never received a confirmation. It was confusing and ridiculous all around. Based on our experience, I would think twice before planning any type of event here.

Yelp
Nothing bad, nothing great. The smash burger was pretty good but my sunrise cocktail was hard to choke down. My husband had the pork shoulder and it just tasted off which seemed to be from the maple glaze. The glaze was super sticky and got stuck to his teeth. He ended up finishing my burger. Loved the ambiance and our server!

Yelp
Came here because it was advertised as a small plates eatery, which sounded perfect for the time and group. That said, small plates didn't seem to be a huge part of the menu, and I wasn't particularly turned on to most of them (and the one I did, an odd shredded-lamb-on-cornbread-with-peppers-and-lemon-emulsion was a bit odd, if tasty. While presumably pretty much anything was available from the bar, the specialty cocktail list was a bit strange, too. Lots and lots of pineapple was featured. Service was very helpful -- and helped us get out of there in the face of some time challenges we had. The ambiance was fine -- nice decor, well lit from outside, all was nice. The only weird note was that the restrooms were up on the (hotel) second floor, which was either up the elevators or a very vaulted ceiling set of stairs. Overall, I'd return again if invited, but I wouldn't go out of my way versus the many other offerings in Cherry Creek.

Yelp
This place is very cute and aesthetic! They have a really cool and interesting white/black bookshelf on the wall which we spent a good amount of the time deciding if it was real or not lol. The service was great as our waiter was consistently checking up on us. I ordered an espresso martini and the diver scallops. These scallops are incredible! The meal was so unique and so so flavorful, I was not expecting to like this meal as much as I did. I also got a side of caesar salad and it has to be one of the best caesar salad I have ever had!

Yelp
Extremely disappointed in our experience last night. My wife and I were seated, and the server poured my water. My glass was visibly dirty. I'm not one who usually complains but I kindly pointed it out and was told "Oh, it's not dirty, its a residue on all these glasses from how they're cleaned." I looked around and no other glass had that. I just... drank out of a dirty glass all night. Worse, though, was my wife ordered the Brick Chicken, which is clearly labeled gluten-free on the menu. Her dish arrived, and there's bread all in it. We asked the server for clarification, asking if the bread was gluten-free. And the response was "Oh, no, it's not. I'm not sure why the menu says that." We couldn't believe a dietary item was just shrugged off the way it was. There was an offer in passing to make something else, but at that point we were too against the clock to have something else made. The food we had was delicious, but the overall experience bad. Given my wife was only able to eat a small portion of her meal, the kind thing to do would be to comp the meal, or at least our drink. It all felt very dismissive. We won't be returning, and if you visit, I'd recommend getting clarity on any item that says gluten-free just to be safe. You clearly can't trust the menu.

Yelp
Food-wise? Really great! I can't remember what the others in my party had, but I had the chicken avocado chop salad, and it was super flavorful and full of variety. Really liked it. Environment? Also really liked it! Very calming, and minimalistic. It was clean and sleek, and a good place to have a conversation. Service? Just meh. Maybe our server was just having a bad day (which is totally understandable), but she didn't offer a smile the entire time and I felt like we were somewhat of a nuisance just being there. But again, could be a one off! Otherwise, we had a great experience!

Yelp
Honestly, i left so incredibly disappointed after lunch., i wouldnt come again or recommend it. I spent over $100 for 2 entrees and 2 drinks. The service was insanely slow and not great. The food was okay, but for over $100 not sure. To begin with, they could care less if youre there, my glass with water was BROKEN and i told them, they didnt even bother to give me another glass of water (or refill my guests water not even once) after i showed it to them, or even apologize. You can tell some girls are picking up the other staffs slack., which is not fair. Never got checked on, had to flag the waiter down numerous of times for things like silverware, ketchup etc. The ambiance was good, chill and really cute decorations, but thats all it has going for.

Yelp
I wish my narrative on the "narrative" was better but it was a definite disappointment. Great looking restaurant with an attractive dining area with 3 dimensional wallpaper made to look like shelves full of books the narrative is definitely a fun looking environment I was part of a private party of 5 we ate in a private room. My disappointment carried from start to finish. Our apps included hush puppies which were extremely dry in the center and a salmon tartar. After apps we had salads , my Cesar salad was good and actually a huge portion Entree was a crisped salmon with skin on that came with a rice and asparagus medley. Fish lacked basic seasoning and came warm at best when presented with it I was told the plate was 3 degrees cooler then the sun - what a laugh Dessert was a marscapone cheesecake - bleh.. didn't work for me. Meal wasn't worth taking photos and the service was slow .. - Just maybe when you eat there you will have a different narrative

Heidi C.

Yelp
This is an unremarkable restaurant that is busy in spite of itself. The Narrative experience appears quite full of itself in spite of its overweening mediocrity. Their menu is devoid of creativity, the fare is without flavor, the service is nonexistent, and the poorly designed interior has few tables to tempt you with their welcoming location. Overall I would give Narrative a "Don't Bother" rating. However, it is likely that any effort they would make to improve in any of these areas would be greatly appreciated by those who have not yet given up on them.

Yelp
For a restaurant inside of a hotel, Narrative exceeds any expectation you may have walking in. The food, service and cocktail program are phenomenal. Every moment of your experience here, whether it's the food, beverages, or service, is carefully thought out. Before talking about the food, I want to give special mention to their $30, "The Shining" cocktail, which is "award winning" and comes out encased in a box with smoke (like, real fire smoke not like fake smoke machine smoke). In addition to the very well-prepared cocktail, the smoke makes for a very rich fragrance that reminds me of camping in the Rocky Mountains. I can't think of a better way to set the mood. We came here for Denver Restaurant Week and tried the Tuna Poke, Lobster Corndogs, Mushroom Bolognese and Jacq Burger. Each course was excellent. But the Tuna Poke stands out as a "top 10 all-time thing that's been in my mouth" dish. Truly spectacular. I also thought that the Mushroom Bolognese was very delicious, rich and dense with flavor. In addition to the food and cocktails being phenomenal, the service really stood out to me as well. They are very attentive and keep you updated religiously on the status of your food, and the second that you're ready for another cocktail they're right there ready to take your next order. Being right in the heart of the Cherry Creek shopping area, stopping by Narrative after or during a day of shopping would be a home run, or if you want to even go out of your way just to come here that certainly wouldn't be a mistake. This place is a must-try in the Denver area.

Yelp
Went here on a random Sunday to watch football and drinks were amaizng and pictured are espresso martinis which were surprisingly good. Also have a fried green tomatoes with a red sauce and a cheesy white sauce that is nothing short of spectacular. You can taste the freshness in the ingredients and can tell the chef and his team love their food Service is good and ambiance differs depending the day and vibe. Definitely one of my favorites in cherry creek

Yelp
One of the best restaurants we dined while we were in Denver! From the atmosphere to friendly and efficient staff, and quality fresh cuisine...there is just no question this is one of the places to dine while in Denver. We came here twice during our short one week in Colorado. We dined as two families with children and we were treated with the most care and service. Then we came back after Thanksgiving meal for drinks at the bar as a couple, and again the quality of service and drinks blew us away. This narrative is something we will NOT forget.

Yelp
Went for drinks. Cool, modern atmosphere and great drinks. The service was spot on. Fun place!

Yelp
Came the Saturday prior to Mothers Day and was seated quickly and the waitress was friendly.. Ordered the mimosa and they were anemic no color at all and we're just bland to the taste as a champagne was not of any quality for the price. Extremely disappointing... the restaurant was not extremely busy but we waited a normal amount of time initially for appetizers, and then again for the main meal... waitress informed the manager who came over, apologized and offered a complementary dessert... The ambience was minimalistic extremely clean, and the book wall was a topic of conversation... The main food was acceptable, but not outstanding for the price you paid it would be very convenient when staying at the hotel to dine there not sure if I will go out of my way again to have a meal.

Yelp
Located in the Jacquard Hotel, this lovely restaurant was a good pick for our lunch on a Monday. Staff was friendly and accommodating, food was actually very tasty, with the menu with a lot of nice options. There's a massive full bar, and looks like a fantastic HH menu and some good choices.

Yelp
Beautiful restaurant in a walkable part of town. I didn't love my vegetarian dish but the group I was with had really delicious omnivore options.
google avatar

Yelp
Came here a few times while I was working here. I thought the service was outstanding, the apps were great, the salon was good but a very small portion, the beer selection was very good, and the sword fish was not very flavorful. Very good hotel restaurant however / very busy but not crowded or slow

Yelp
This is a very cute place located in the lobby of the Jacquard Hotel. The atmosphere is chic casual. We started with the lobster corn dogs and caesar salad deviled eggs. Both were well-executed. Mixing caesar salad dressing with the egg yolk and topping the eggs with croutons and Parmesan cheese was very creative. It was nice that they were served on a bed of Caesar salad. I've had lobster corn dogs before but these were better. They were full of chopped lobster meat and covered in a sweet batter and deep fried. The accompanying sauces were very good. Dollops of tomatillo jalapeño were on the plate and peppered honey served as a dipping sauce. I loved the peppered honey and I kept it for my entree. For our main courses, we had salmon and balsamic hanger steak. Both were good but the steak itself lacked seasoning and the dish relied on the sauce to add flavor. The miso glaze on the salmon was very light as was the sake butter. It was good that I had my peppered honey from the appetizer. We finished our meals with the chocolate chip cookies and mascarpone cheesecake. Both were delicious! We enjoyed this place overall. The ambiance and the service were wonderful. Valet parking is complimentary at the hotel entrance.

Yelp
Came in during restaurant week and was so excited to try since we haven't been here. We ordered drinks and food together and drinks took forever. We finished our appetizer before even getting our drinks. Lobster corndogs were decent although you mostly just taste the breading. Second course was soup and Caesar salad. I would come back just for that salad. One of the best Caesar salads I've had. Finished with chicken and the carrot cassoulet which were both pretty good. Ambiance seemed fun although it was a bit bright for a 7pm dinner. I would consider coming back.. maybe

Yelp
This was. Great relaxing spot for a drink or two, and a bite to eat. The mussels in particular were fantastic. Our waitress, Dora, was very helpful, polite, and provided great recommendations.

Yelp
Consistently delicious, kept fresh with a rotating menu, decent happy hour. This is a restaurant I would happily come to time and time again. I haven't been disappointed with a meal yet and I've been here too many times to count. I've only been for happy hours/dinner, so I can't speak to their breakfast food items. For the price I think the portion sizes are reasonable and they have an excellent cocktail menu to accompany the food. Narrative takes reservations but has high top and bar seating available first come first serve. If your group is small enough, I would recommend sitting at the bar, it's a rather large space and their staff is engaging.

Christina S.

Yelp
Food and service were terrible. There were 4 of us and it took over an hour to get our meal. None of the food was hot enough (soggy lobster corn dogs) and I ordered the corn chowder which the server forgot my spoon twice so it was cold when I finally ate it. Gimlet was incorrectly made. Guests talked about how shitty the food was. Pick someplace else!

Yelp
I had the pleasure of taking myself on a solo date to Narrative for a restaurant week. And it was hands-down the best meal and experience I had all week! They really nailed it! The burrata was phenomenal, I would venture to say one of the best I've had in a city in a really long time! I got the last short rib of the night and let me tell you... It was worth the wait! Fell off the bone, melted in my mouth, it was so flavorful I could have a licked the plate!!! I can't wait to go back and try more of their full menu! Well done Narrative!!
google avatar

Indi G.

Yelp
If I could give 3 1/2 I would, the food was excellent. I especially enjoyed the fries and the kale salad. The happy hour drinks were lackluster and had about zero taste. I would skip the happy hour drinks altogether and just go to one of the $15 rings you'll save yourself the nine dollars of having to drink something you hate.

Katie M.

Yelp
Normally this is my go to restaurant. But tonight we had an incredibly inattentive waiter, another waiter who couldn't be bothered with our waiting to have our order taken, and when I clearly didn't finish my dinner and don't want to take it home. Had no curiosity as to why ( because it was awful). Will not be going back
google avatar

Regina S.

Yelp
Bartender with the eye glasses worst ever. Just brought over water. Did not ask if I wanted anything. Proceeded to continue her conversation with a guest about personal stuff. 12 minutes later another bartender came over. Order 1 drink and left.

Yelp
This is a cute place that you can dress up or down and still fit in. It has a very small patio if you're wanting to sit outside. Our waitress, Mary, was spectacular! She was so attentive and friendly and she alone deserves 5 stars. The side Caesar salad ($13 btw) was wonderful. The Thai shrimp appetizer was very good. I ordered a glass of full bodied red wine and it was equivalent to Trader Joe's "3 buck chuck". It was watered down and very lacking in flavor. For their extensive list, I was shocked. For a meal I ordered the Mushroom Bolognese. It was pretty awful. Lacked flavor, I don't even think it had mushrooms in it- I've had jarred pasta sauce that tastes better. My friends had the 48 hour short rib and pan seared scallops and the ribs and they loved all the flavors. The waitress told me when picking up my unfinished plate that "it's not something I'd recommend". Too late. I think you're better off skipping this place or maybe trying brunch. Sad as I thought this place had a lot of potential with the reviews and location, or maybe I just ordered the wrong dish and drink.

Yelp
Great food, personalized service by a well-versed team, relaxing atmosphere. Would definitely do back.

Yelp
Such a cute place for Happy Hour ... and I'm actually a bigger fan of the apps/ food over the cocktails. Things to note: 1) meh on the Caesar devil eggs 2) lobster corn dogs please 3) good veggie and hummus plates 4) beautiful wrap around bar seating 5) good atmosphere that is always hoping

Yelp
My son and I met for lunch and we randomly selected Narrative. The staff were exceptional! The staff is the heart and soul of a restaurant. The atmosphere is crips and modern in a tongue and cheek kind of way. It was nice to be in a restaurant where you could actually hear your dining partner. I cannot speak to dinner. I like the limited and well curated menu. The menu takes comfort food and makes it fancy and that is good because you do not want to pay what you can make at home. Caesar Deviled Eggs - interesting ideas and I loved them sitting on shredded romaine. My son prefers a classic deviled egg, but he ate them with no problems. bbq spiced chicken sandwich - this was surprisingly delish. The portion was generous. Chicken was tender and tasty. French fries were McDonald worthy - cringe all you want, but McD fries are the best, thin, crispy and salty. You get an arugula salad which was fine. My issue with salads are the fine balance of dressing. This was a tad under dressed. jacquard omelet - Omelet was perfectly cooked. Always heaven when an egg is cooked properly. Crispy potatoes were perfection. See review for salad above. Again the portion was generous. Italian Donuts - these were just Ok. Not a bomboloni or at least the ones I have tasted. The lemon sauce was nice and you have to dip your donut in it, but it needed more. They were a little doughy with not a lot of flavor. I probably would not order again, but you should decide for yourself. I would definitely go back.

Yelp
I had the best pork shoulder roast it was perfectly portioned not overly sweet not to fatty smooth super tender if I could have I would have licked the plate. Our server was super nice and sweet attentive. Beautiful smile! The hostess was really nice also. Beautiful nails! My partner had the tenderloin he was in heaven with the creamy mashed potatoes loved them. My stepson had the salmon he said it was super buttery and good. Great wine selection. Dessert was awesome we had the cake and my stepson has the cheesecake which was creamy not to sweet or sour great portion fun idea with the fruity pebbles on it. Can't wait to go again!

Yelp
Went here with a crew for restaurant week and everything was fabulous! We got a great bottle of wine, had some delicious options from that menu, and the warm cookies at the end stole the show. We were sat right next to the bookcase wall which is exactly what I wanted for this experience. Such a good time and ambiance!

Yelp
Narrative is a wonderful spot in Cherry creek for dinner, happy hour and brunch! The space is modern and open with beautiful high ceilings and most importantly, delicious food! Recently I went to dinner with a couple girlfriends and I was so impressed by our meal- We started out with the Lobster Deviled eggs... umm yes! I really enjoyed the flavor combination and the fact tat they put a sizable pice of lobster on each piece! For my dinner I ordered the Tuscan Grilled Chicken- initially I was really torn between a few dishes but someone at the table near us ordered this chicken dish and it looks incredible! I decided I had to try it out, and I was not disappointed in the slightest! The chicken was incredibly juicy and flavorful and the lemon, capers, tomato, masala and crispy potato where amazing accompaniments! I had a The Marquis cocktail to go along with my meal, which was a bit of a take on a margarita and I enjoyed it so much... I ordered another! Overall, very impressed and will definitely be back!

Yelp
Very good. Nice ambiance in a boutique hotel. Center of Cherry Creek. Very creative dishes and ingredients. Good variety of food and drink options. The only reason I gave it a 4 was the kitchen was a little slow.

Yelp
Narrative was a blast - good food, great company and excellent service! They also have a bar that partners with the hotel on the roof. It was a blast! Salmon and Scallops were a fan favorite! The lobster hotdogs were hilarious and delicious.
