Commissary Review - Downtown - Dallas - The Infatuation

"Commissary is a sandwich counter, butcher shop, market, coffee shop, and gelateria, so you can stop in for coffee and a pastry, and walk out with cold cuts and gelato. There’s always a line out the door during peak lunch hours, which makes sense since their French dip with pho broth and quinoa salad with lamb kafta are both excellent. It’s also right in the middle of Downtown, which makes it an ideal spot to for a work break, or before you check out the Dallas World Aquarium." - Landen Kerr

I have never been in a commissary I did not like. Great selection of all those food items you need. From meats to vegetables it has it all. Staff was friendly and helpful. Store layout was great and the isles clean and not clustered. Another great shopping experience.

The commissary is a good place to shop, but the sodexo Deli gets no stars, The service was slow, the meat was not worth the price, and the meat tasted very low budget.

The quality of items and products have declined, but the prices look to have increased or even doubled in a month.

Good prices for meat. That’s about it. Almost everything is cheaper out in town. This is the first commissary where it’s more expensive than out in town.

A decent selection, the international sections are my personal favorite only place I can get some of my favorite foods. The bagers are always super helpful and nice and I really appreciate them being able to take things out to my car and load them for me.

I don’t like coming here. This commissary doesn’t have a CART RETURN area in their parking lot! You have to return the cart all the way back to the entrance. Also, if you go to the Cashier to ring your items they ask you if you’re going to need help with your groceries. Of course I do! But saying yes means you’re expected to tip your bagger. So annoying! There is a self-service check-out but they don’t tell you how many items are allowed. The staff are unfriendly and snobby as if they don’t see you.

Very well organized and nice people inside. Clean appearance and aisles. Produce is always close to expiry. Bread is sometimes close to expiry. Several items are sometimes sold out. Often items don't appear to be poor until you get it home. Just ok.
