The Best Restaurants in Raleigh, North Carolina | Bon Appétit

"On West Hargett Street in downtown Raleigh, Nashona is my go-to when I need an instant mood boost: established by Lilian K Danieli in 2012, the jubilant clothing line melds vibrant African prints with modern American silhouettes and sometimes even offers wine and live music while you shop." - ByBrigid Washington

Beautiful store! Omg I could have stayed in there all day and spent all of my money 😂! The dresses, the art work, the jewelry, the hygiene products, the design and the layout! Everything is just amazing. My daughter bought me a bracelet and I love it!

One of my favorite shops to visit while in Raleigh! When I first went in May, I was intimidated as the clothing is beautiful and I usually wear pretty plain clothes. The owner, Lilian, piled my arms with things to try and I ended up buying everything! The fabric is 100% cotton, handmade in Tanzania, and beautiful. Every time I wear one of the dresses or the pants I got from Nashona, I get tons of compliments. Here is a photo of me and my pup, Wally, who managed to almost match with me at an event earlier this year. Thank you, Lilian, for always providing such a wonderful shopping experience 😊

Cute clothes, fell in love with the dresses. Was intimidated walking in as I am not well-versed in African culture and wasn’t sure the clothes would look good on me. But the owner (Lillian) was super sweet and I went home with the thin strapped dress bc I loved the shape and it was a good deal. Clothes designed by owner and made by team of women she works with in Tanzania!

I purchased a handbag. Beautifully made. Orange perfect color for a Georgia Peach. The atmosphere was very nice. Beautiful sales lady Ms. T. It was nice to meet you. A good vibe!

Visited today to get a gift card for a friend, and the shop owner was incredibly friendly and helpful! The clothes and accessories in the shop are very unique, well-made, and are all handcrafted in Tanzania by friends of the shop owner.

I absolutely had the best time in this shop!!! The owner is an amazing woman! She made my friend and I feel so welcomed! We enjoyed her company so much! Everything is authentic and handmade. She offers custom clothing, you can get things made to fit YOU. Any style, and her fabric options are to die for! Sizes range from small from small to 4x. I had so much fun talking and experiencing all the clothes and patterns. Dresses for all occasions, dress them up dress them down! These pieces are truly gorgeous and versatile! If you're in downtown Goldsboro, definitely stop in!

Visiting Nashona while in Raleigh was one of the best experiences of my trip. Her shop is very well decorated and well stocked with some of the most unique and beautiful pieces I've ever seen. I don't plan on being in Raleigh again in the near future but will be ordering via her website often.

I had a great time shopping at Nashona today on W. Hargett Street in Raleigh. The owner and her associates are amazing. Most of the products come from Tanzania. The associates took the time to show me around the store and introduce me to the various skin products, jewelry, clothing, paintings, and more!! There are plenty of products for men. I'm looking forward to using the beard oil, and returning to purchase another painting.

Yelp
Such a cute boutique in the more downtown area of Raleigh! The staff were super friendly and outgoing, which I appreciated! Very knowledgeable about the Tanzanian items too and items seemed authentic. There were a variety of items from Tanzania, including clothes, accessories, and trinkets. I got a keychain for $15 which I really liked and put on my purse! I would say the price is worth the quality and uniqueness here. Would definitely come back again if I'm back in the Raleigh area!

Yelp
The clothes are beautifully made, one-of-a-kind fashions. The staff are friendly and helpful. And the owner, Lillian, is a kind and caring soul, ensuring you have the best experience and find a perfect outfit. Trust me, you'll be back again and again!

Yelp
DRESSES WITH POCKETS. This tiny boutique is jammed packed with accessories, skirts, dresses, purses and jewelry. If you have a special event planned go check Nashona out. This would be so perfect for bridesmaid dresses. If you think African prints aren't your thing, there are beautiful flower prints too. She is open to custom pieces too. I would get custom matching dresses for my daughters if I had any. lol If you are traveling through on a closed day, call her and set up an appointment, do not overlook this shop if you are nearby. Or find her on the Instagram! @nashona_

Yelp
Ok, this is a struggle for me. If I tell you how much I love this place I'm afraid everyone will want to come and shop there. Really, if you love to support black female owned business..here you go. Lillian is herself from Tanzania. Modern style in gorgeous African print. Stitched by ladies from Tanzania. Accessories, men's shirts and jewelry are also available. I have many pieces dresses, jackets, jewelry and more.

Yelp
Such a fun store! Bought a great wool hat for Fall and experienced the best customer service. These ladies know how to make a gal feel welcome.
