NOLA’s Turkey and the Wolf to Pop Up at Barrel Proof | Eater Nashville

"Situated on the first floor of the members-only Nashville City Club in SoBro, The Study is the club’s first public-facing space; Executive Chef Ryan Brewer’s menu blends French-bistro–inspired American cuisine and Spanish tapas — meatballs topped with aged manchego, marinated olives, and baked oysters — while the beverage program highlights signature cocktails and martinis with weekly specials like Martini Fridays and a margarita night on Wednesdays, and the bar is open Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. and Saturday 4–9 p.m., serving lunch, happy hour, evening bites, and cocktails." - Jackie Gutierrez-Jones

Very nice place! We attended a wine pairing dinner. It was setup beautifully. They told us about each of the wines. The food was really good. I’m only giving it a 4 because some of the portions were small. We’d definitely attend again!

Google
Great club. Love the staff. Great meeting space for good pricing. Food has always been super, which has not always been my experience consistently at clubs. Lots of events, which I enjoy. They have an indoor golf club add-on that is really unique and really fun to use when you are downtown. And cheap parking for downtown, which is rare. 5 stars.

My husband and I are members of both City Club and Nashville City Golf. We love it! Food is AMAZING! Networking is great. If you aren't members, check out The Study (1st floor) bar. They have great food and happy hour deals!

Yelp
Wow! What a great venue We arrived slightly before they opened and they were so generous with us The service was amazing and we had a great experience with them The food was remarkable. The Salmon was one of the best dishes I have ever had anywhere. The Salmon was accompanied with blistered cherry tomatoes and Kalamata olives. I'd order it again without hesitation! What a great club and I highly recommend

Yelp
Great service, tasty food, beautiful space. I am a nashville real estate agent. One of the local brokerages hosts CE classes here monthly and I attend to get continuing education credit for my real estate licensure. The food is great and the staff is pleasant and helpful. The NCC has spaces for large parties and events.

Yelp
The city club is one of my favorite places downtown. Food has always been consistently good, which is not common at most clubs. Great steaks. Two bars. The parking is easy and cheap, though you do have to pay, but i think its like $8 for 24 hours so you can also go out downtown later if you want. Meeting rooms are available for reasonable pricing with membership. Love the indoor golf simulators, which is extra, but I love using them and then having a meal or some drinks after (or during). Staff has always been consistently good as well. Good club for networking or business functions if you live or work downtown. And fairly priced.

Yelp
Great club for anyone who comes downtown and wants a private club atmosphere. Food has always been great. Staff is excellent. For travelers, there are also reciprocals.

Yelp
First visit to the Nashville City Club new location at the historic Liggett Building. Parking was easy since there is garage next door. While they are still in the process of getting back to full operation, it's definitely going to be a premier place to go. The inside is amazing. The ambiance is reminiscent of a modern speakeasy with touches of historic charm with the exposed brick, the wood, decor and lighting. They have three floors with the bottom floor bar/restaurant open to the public and the 2nd and 3rd floor reserved for members only or special events. Enjoyed a wonderful "light" dinner with friends on the spacious 3rd floor members only area. It has a full bar, dining area, lounge and private space to accommodate a group. The menu is limited as they continue toward full operation. It includes a nice variety of appetizers, soups, salads, dinner items. They have an extensive wine /beer menu. I had blackened Caesar Salad with Salmon which was very tasty. Others raved over the Nashville Hot Oysters appetizer. The unique popcorn ice cream was a big hit also. The pecan tart was good not too sweet. They have a great bar staff knowledgeable about various drinks. If you like something special, they can make it. Looking forward to seeing the finishing touches, full food menu, some of the old favorite drinks and "ice".

Yelp
We are big fans of the NCC. We have eaten here many times and I've held company meetings here. The food is always phenomenal and the service is unmatched. Thank you, NCC staff for always making it a special occasion, even when it isn't.

Yelp
The view from here is AMAZING! The chicken sandwich was very tasty! The cheesecake with blueberries was delicious, just a bit cold and stiff, but DELISH nonetheless!

Yelp
I attended a charity fundraiser and fashion show at the Nashville City Club last week and was really impressed by the friendly and super helpful staff and space too. This venue is a great space to host special events or parties in the heart of downtown. Valet parking options would be suggested but street parking is certainly available too! The space has an old world/classic aesthetic but the space is certainly beautiful and can be transformed to fit your theme and motif.

Yelp
While the view from the club's restaurant was beautiful, the food and drinks were mediocre at best, as was the service. We had a group arrive for a Sunday brunch (which I hear is a relatively new thing the restaurant is doing for non-members). There were a couple of people helping out our server, and they were very nice. However, our assigned server had a scowl on her face the whole time. She especially seemed to hate that we were ordering the $8 unlimited mimosas that she would have to refill. A few people in our group also ordered the bacon and blueberry pancakes that ended up being passed around-- not because it was good, but because it might have been the worst pancakes I have ever tasted. Maybe we came on an off day, because I can't imagine a place this nice would leave such a blah taste in my mouth. To be or not to be... back-- that is the question.

Yelp
I went to a networking event at the Nashville City Club, and it was alright. Okay views. Garage to park in. Kind of banquet hall looking to me, but it's a big space, so I guess it works fine for some events.

Yelp
The Bourdon tasting was a fun time. Tried every Bourdon they were sampling. The food was also good, our favorite was the pulled pork egg rolls. Tasted some good local Bourbons that I would like to bring home. The people were all friendly and made you feel comfortable.

Yelp
Who schedules meetings during dinner time? That's neither here nor there at this point because regardless of whether or not it was a good idea, it happened. When the meeting wrapped, my stomach was growling and we needed food, stat. The closest option was The Riverview Grille inside the City Club. My friends were all going and I succumbed to peer pressure. The food was good but not unlike anything I'd order anywhere else. My review of the meal might have a bit more glow if the service was more attentive. It took forever to order, forever to get the food, and even longer to get our checks. On the plus side, the view of the city was breathtaking and their fruit tea was delicious, too... it just took a few reminders to get a refill. Probably won't return. Unless another dinnertime meeting is scheduled at the City Club.

Yelp
This hidden gem on the 20th floor of the Service Source building downtown is quite the restaurant. So you feel a little snooty, all elite club style, but the food is fantastic, the service top notch, and the view of your beloved Nashville cannot be beat. Also, this place is home to the best bananas foster ever created, made for you with care and an eye for perfection at your table. They have an extensive wine list, a fantastic happy hour with two-for-one specials and great bar bites, and its hardly ever busy here. There's lots of event space up here (seen several rehearsal dinners and company parties here) and the restaurant part is separated into a bar area and a more formal dining space. But the food really is amazing. They do everything from sandwiches and burgers to scallops and steaks to die for. And sipping on wine and/or coffee while gazing out over all of Nashville is a real treat. If you ever get a chance to come here, do it. Its beautiful and the service will spoil you and the food is a treat. I look forward to my next visit here.

Yelp
We usually do carry out from there because we have much less time to dine than before. But, when we used to go there it was always good. The view is the best in Nashville. On the side of the bar it used to be that you were able to smoke ( lots of uppidy guys with cigars :)) ) but now they are completely non-smoking. Restaurant side is very classy and quiet. Food is great. Lady at the front desk has been there forever and she is awesome. Anyway - I recommend bar side and their food. But, you can only go there if you are invited to be a member... and you can put your bill on youir account and then pay at the end of the month.

Yelp
This 20th floor private dining and event spot is always a classy and fun experience! Whether it is lunch, dinner or an entertaining or informational event, I've always had a good time there! Food and service were top notch every time!

Yelp
Food was awesome, atmosphere was great, view of the city was off the chart and service was very good. I would highly recommend it!!

Yelp
Went here a few weeks ago for a friends wedding, and it was great! The views during sunset in the City Club awesome! The staff that worked the wedding were really great and the bartenders sure know how to make a good drink. The venue in not huge, so at times it felt crowded. But, it was a party and we were all having a great time. So who cares!

David M.

Yelp
We recently had an event here. From Jim, Lisa and the rest of the staff we received nothing but help and kindness. The facilities were great. Our event was a conference banquet so we expected convention rubber chicken. What we got was great food. I recommend the Nashville City Club whole heartedly.

Yelp
We had dinner at the Nashville City Club last night and it was a great experience. If you are looking for a quiet dining experience, close to Broadway with a great 20th floor view, I would highly recommend you give it a try . The food was very good, and the prices were very reasonable. We will go back

Yelp
I attended a formal party that rented out the 20th floor. The reason for my exceedingly negative review was the service we received. The staff was curt and generally impatient with our party. they seemed like they just wanted it to be over as soon as the event had started. Some of the guests in our party had a reasonable amount to drink at the event and when some couples started to leave a few members of the staff were snickering and one was even taking pictures of guests with her phone. I was shocked and very unhappy with this unprofessional behavior. There are many beautiful venues in Nashville that will treat their guests with courtesy and respect. Do not give these people your business.
