Google
This place has the best blackened salmon sandwich I’ve ever had—perfectly seasoned and cooked just right. I’ve found that the best time to visit is on a Saturday for brunch; the vibe is great, and the food never disappoints. I’ve introduced many of my friends to this spot, and they all love it too. A true gem for seafood lovers!

Hadn’t been there in awhile, so decided to make the drive right before lunch. From what I remembered, the food was always fresh and tasty. Was disappointed with the lack of seasonings and small portions of fried calamari. When I bit into the oyster po’boy, I thought I was chewing a stringy piece of lettuce or tomato, but it turned out to be plastic. Welp… 🤷🏾‍♂️

Lobster roll was very small, practically on a cracker and fries were mid. Led to our divorce.

Great place. Have been going to the blue point grill for literally my entire life and needed some sushi grade salmon so I decided to try out nassau. It should be noted I went on a Sunday which I imagine may not be favorable for supply time and freshness. The salmon had a very mild fishiness, you could tell it was fresh and it was very good. It also wasn't that perfect level salmon you'd get at an upscale sushi restaurant. Easily beats Wegmans selling their sushi grade salmon for 3x the price. It's some of the best in the area. If want perfect sushi grade salmon around central jersey, best I've had is Archar seafood near New Brunswick.

Google
Best shop in the area for FRESH seafood to buy and cook at home. They also have a menu of seafood meals and sandwiches to take out. I love their Blackened Catfish Sandwich with the best coleslaw around. They have a small parking lot behind the Ivy Inn that is helpful. Try to shop early in the day because traffic in mid to late afternoon on Nassau Street is awful.

Google
Small walk-in Seafood place with fabulous lunch items. You can eat outside next door outside at Bluepoint grill. Ceviche Tacos are the best! Just as you imagined they should be. Fresh and healthy!

We tried salmon, portuguese sardines and scallops.. everything was very delicious and fresh!

Go for lunch and get groceries for dinner! My favorite is the blackened catfish and a diet coke. Yum.

Yelp
My wife and her family have been a loyal customer of this business for at least 40 years. I used to live in Princeton and now live about 30 minutes away, but I'm fortunate enough to work nearby and have continued to stop in. The seafood has always been reliably fresh, and for that, I give credit. However, the level of customer service has seriously declined. It's disappointing because in today's world--where good service is increasingly rare--it should be easy to stand out by simply treating people with basic respect. Unfortunately, the staff, many of whom I recognize from past visits, have become noticeably rude and unprofessional. There's no excuse for this kind of behavior. I'd rather take my business elsewhere--there are other seafood markets in places like Clinton and Flemington that value their customers. Sometimes businesses reach a point where it's time to reassess: either improve the team or consider moving on. Quality 4 out of five customer service negative.

Yelp
Seafood shack in the middle of Princeton, NJ? Nassau Street Produce and Seafood produces good seafood entrees with great value. They also sell uncooked seafood here and a limited selection of fresh produce as well but my visits focus on the box lunches and entrees. At the prices quoted, the entrees are well worth it. The salmon platter has been my favorite so far with a great grilled flavor accompanied with standard fries. The salmon filet, whether stand-alone platter or between a bun, has perfectly cooked grilled lines, with a moist bite that speaks to the expertise of the griller knowing exactly when to take the filet off the heat. For box lunches, the fish and chips platter is a mammoth sized filet that would be best eaten quickly to savor any crunch that is left over from steaming in the cardboard box. It would be hard to say your hunger would not be satisfied with this meal. The fried clams was really on the small side without the belly and was mostly breading to be honest. They were however perfectly crunchy and not greasy. If there is one knock on the food it would have to be the fries, which could be the worse fries I've ever had. Definitely up charge for the onion rings which are supposedly homemade and far superior. They shutdown operations rather early in the evening so this isn't a evening meal destination. I often find myself taking my food to a nearby Princeton park table/bench to enjoy on a nice sunny day/early evening. Call ahead if you are in a hurry and your meal will be waiting for you before you arrive.

Yelp
Great selection & variety. Competitive prices except for a couple of outrageously over priced fish items.

Yelp
Fish tacos are great! Blackened cat fish sandwich is great as well! Nice seating outside, very pleasant in nice weather

Yelp
I wanted to like this place...reviews had me going. Service was great, that's where it ended. Food was mediocre at best. Clam strips were over cooked and no seasoning (s&p) on the clams or the fries, this is not golden brown and delicious. Lobster bisque was ok, a little too soupy. Flavor was good. For the price point of the food this should have been a 5 star experience all around the board.

Tayler N.

Yelp
Super good tacos and seafood! I didn't even know this place existed because it's right next to another seafood place. amazing lunch spot!

Nancy T.

Yelp
I can't speak to the quality of their produce, but their prices are ridiculous. I can't justify spending what they're asking for any seafood.

Yelp
Ordered takeout Fish tacos Shrimp po boy sandwich 1/2 lb shrimp salad The Good: fish tacos and shrimp salad were excellent and fresh. Taco had guacamole in it and lettuce etc. delicious fish. Reasonably priced at $11 in this economy. Shrimp salad also fresh and very good with capers and scallions. Plain flavor. It is the 2nd time I liked shrimp salad. The bad which isn't so bad.: The shrimp po boy while very fresh and tasty was not to my liking only because it is too bready for me. The breaded shrimp and the bread were too much for me. It is not the best choice for me but was made well and fresh. Would definitely come back for the fish tacos and maybe some grilled fish platters or sandwiches. Some prices of great looking fish are high but seemingly comparable for the area and economy. Nice outside dining!

Yelp
This is a bit of a bipolar review. On one hand, their takeout menu is solid and the Tilapia Wrap is a very tasty meal. Get it blackened and you don't even notice that it's tilapia that you're eating. On the flip side, their market is so wildly overpriced that I can't imagine anyone would shop there. Everything costs about double what it should (and some items more than that).

Yelp
Really great lunch spot with fresh seafood. For the price I actually prefer this spot to Blue Point Grill next door - it's definitely not fancy and the preparation is much simpler but the seafood here is really great, and I think the prices are reasonable. The bread and tortillas that they use in their sandwiches and tacos aren't the best quality, but the fresh seafood is really the main focus here. I recommend the scallop tacos and grilled tuna sandwich (or trying the daily special), though I've liked most things I've tried. The grilled salmon sandwich is also pretty good though too salty (fish is perfectly cooked though), and I really liked the crab cake in the crab cake sandwich though not so much the bread. The scallop po'boy is good too but seems to have fewer scallops than the taco and a lot of bread. The only item I tried that I wasn't super happy about was the fried softshell crab sandwich (a daily special) - it was sort of hard to eat due a lot of harder shell pieces that I had to spit out. It takes a while to get your order, and it's sort of too crowded to wait inside of the store, but the food is cooked fresh to order. During lunch hours you can take your meal next door and eat it inside Blue Point; there's also an outdoor seating area currently under construction. Once I came in near closing and my fish was dry and overcooked, and the scallops didn't seem freshly fried. However my overall experience here has generally been good.

Yelp
Very, very delicious! Came here today for lunch for the first time and really enjoyed my meal. I will say that I found it a little awkward to wait for my food inside because there's really no area to do so - my friend and I just kind of stood around uncomfortably in the very narrow space and told new customers that we weren't in line. I got the salmon poke bowl and everything tasted super fresh, although I may get the poke sauce on the side next time (a little too much sauce for my taste). Cost was pretty reasonable and they only charged $1 for a bottle of water, so no complaints there :) Overall, I will definitely be back!

Yelp
A fine establishment for fresh seafood and hearty lunch items. If you're looking for high quality filets of fish, this is the spot. Especially if you're making ceviche or sushi - you don't want to go anywhere but here. They are extremely knowledgeable about which species to choose if you're unsure. Of course, you pay a premium ($$$) for this but I was not disappointed when it came to dinner time. Additionally I got a lobster bisque. Let me say that it was absolutely delightful. Every spoonful had lobster. It was smooth and flavorful. It almost rivaled being in Maine a week earlier. I've had their NE Clam Chowder before and it was equally as delicious. If you're in the area, check them out. Talk to the guys. Get a new recipe or cooking tip from them. It's worth the visit!

Yelp
Stumbled upon Nassau seafood located in Princeton NJ on Google while searching for a seafood market that had fresh Dover sole fish. I have been craving Sole fish for a while but it is hard to find. Since I'm usually in the Princeton area a few times a month for work. I made a pitstop to pick some fresh sole fish. They offer a wide array of fresh seafood, fresh veggies, fruits and a variety of housemade seafood dips. If you are a seafood lover you will definately be impressed. Although their prices are somewhat higher than your typical grocery store seafood department, you can tell they only carry freshest and best quality seafood around. They also have a menu where you can order freshly prepared seafood, sandwiches, tacos, wraps, Chowders and salads to go. Staff was very friendly and was quick to assist me. After picking out a whole Dover Sole fish he offered to filet it for me which I accepted. While waiting I decided to look over their to go menu. It was already past lunch time but hadn't eaten so I opted to order a sandwich to go. After asking few questions about the menu I decided to order their blackn'd catfish sandwich which came on a Kaiser roll. Paid for everything together and my sandwich was ready not long after. I was excited to devour my sandwich but once I unwrapped it I realized my order was not blackened catfish sandwich, did not look like or taste like catfish. It was more like a grilled tilapia sandwich. I was very disappointed that I did not get what I ordered since and I was already 15 mins away I wasnt going to drive all the way back to complain so I ate it anyway. The sandwich was still pretty good the fish was fresh and well seasoned, Kaiser roll was soft and light and the mayo like sauce really complimented the grilled fish. Overall I had a good experience Nassau street seafood other than my sandwich order being wrong which I will assume and hope this was just an unintentional mistake. If I stop by again in the future, I will make sure I check my order before leaving.. Lastly the Dover sole I purchased which was my main reason for stopping by was really fresh, delicious and perfect for the Sole Meuniere dish I prepared.

Yelp
I want to commend the service of the staff during Covid19. I was there yesterday and they handled a difficult situation with a very rude customer with professionalism and empathy. We love supporting our local businesses, most especially during these difficult times. Also, thank you for the delicious Ahi Tuna Poke Bowl. It was definitely a hit during lunch. The tuna was so fresh and my meal was of a good portion for $12.

Yelp
I usually order online for pickup. The location is 10 minutes from home .my seafood is always fresh. The staff is friendly and helpful. I love all of the caesar salads.

Yelp
I had high hopes. First, the positives, such as they were: Lobster bisque was tasty Paella was good and they honored a special request successfully. The unhappy criticisms: Clams casino was inedible... and I mean they went In the trash inedible. Weird combination of sweet and hot peppers and no detectable bacon or clam that no one liked Thankfully I had a stash of Costco bacon wrapped scallops which saved the day There was a lobster claw rubber band in the lobster bisque. Ewww. Maybe not all that bad but makes you wonder what else they're not paying attention to The reheating instructions are wrong as in less than half the true required time wrong We spent the extra time making jokes about the unbelievably inedible clams. Entertaining at least? My homemade ratatouille was the favorite dish of the night. I wanted to cook but wife wanted to make the night easier by ordering in .... Mark the calendar that I was right. My advice: order VERY carefully and budget between double and triple the amount of time suggested. Or just cook yourself

Yelp
As a seafood lover, this is my favorite lunch spot in Princeton. The ingredients are always fresh and the prices don't break the bank. Everyone is always friendly and I am always asked if I'm being helped. My favorite things to get are the blackened tilapia wrap and blackened salmon wrap. There is seating outside or next door in Blue Point Grill. The only downside is when it's busy it's difficult to wait inside due to the small space.

Yelp
Awesome little seafood market that serves food for take out. The take out menu is nothing fancy, however, it does have most of the essentials covered. Prices wasn't too crazy either as there were many items under the $10 sweet spot. They have a little self service station on the side counter with utensils and sauces. You may have to ask for certain sauces (ex. tartar) from the staff as I didn't see it on the counter. Went with the New England chowder, fish & chips, plus ceviche tacos. The chowder was really good on portion and it was loaded with clams and bits of bacon. The cream wasn't overwhelming the seafood flavor either. The fish had a light batter and was fried golden brown. It was filling without being too greasy or heavy. The chips were fresh out of the fryer and was absolutely delicious. I personally prefer thick cut wedges compared to the standard cut they got. The ceviche tacos looked a bit messy since it was wrapped up in foil paper. However, the seafood was fresh and fantastic. It came with plenty of shrimp and bay scallops. I honestly would have been perfectly happy with just the ceviche as is without the flour tortilla. Would definitely come back if I'm in the area again.

Yelp
Overpriced greasy seafood. Paid $50 for sea bass the size of my palm (I have small hands).

Yelp
This is quickly becoming one of my favorite places in Princeton. Being someone that doesn't eat meat everyday but occasionally dives into some seafood, this place has everything that I need. And it's all fresh! Located in downtown Princeton, Nassau Seafood is a small store that sells fresh fruit & vegetables and a wide variety of fresh seafood. There are some days I come here for the vegetables alone as they are always high quality and sold at fairly reasonable prices. The seafood is pretty amazing. They boast different types of salmon, lobsters, crab, fish and even different side dishes like yellow rice. I can speak to the fact that the salmon is of great quality and tasted delicious. They also have a small section of desserts consisting of different types of pies, a small dairy section and some other sides like gazpacho and fresh bread. For a place this small, it's amazing that variety of things they have in here. This is 100% going to be my go to for seafood. And it's perfect for anyone who lives local and ever needs some veggies or side dishes and doesn't want to drive to the supermarket. Awesome place!

Yelp
5 star Lunch sandwiches (see my previous review) 3 Star fish market. Prices are insane. The guy behind the counter is very nice and helpful (the giant bald guy). He even gave me a discount since I am there and next door all the time. It's tough though I don't like buying fish at the grocery store and I am cool paying a bit extra at a market. But $6.99 a pound at shop-rite and $24.99 a pound here...Really? Ill keep coming for lunch and the prepared soups but ill get my fish fillets at Wegmans.

Yelp
Rating: 3.5. I had to knock one half point because they didn't have the crab leg special that was prominently advertised on their website. So I settled for buffalo rock shrimp and shrimp/crawfish étouffée. Both of these were somewhat decent but lacked flavor. But the killer is that in both dishes there was atleast one shrimp that wasn't deveined, leaving a sandy, crunchy mouthfeel. Tragic. The waitress was straightforward but kind. I won't be be back because I expect more attention to flavor and product when paying dinner prices.

Steve O.

Yelp
3.5 stars Seafood is excellent albeit extremely expensive, the prices are at least 3 to 4 times what they should be. I guess gouging is ok in certain atmospheres!
google avatar

Jon W.

Yelp
Honestly, trying to find a reasonably priced fish and chips place is hard. And I'm glad I stumbled upon this location in Princeton because this is my new go to. For $9 you get two pieces of fish and a carton load full of fries. The fish was flaky and buttery while the batter was crispy. The fries had an addictive quality to them that wouldn't let me stop eating the moment I put one in my mouth. Overall very nice joint and Princeton is lucky to have such a place. Plus: besides selling cooked food. This is also a fish market and they have some real good products.
google avatar

Irene H.

Yelp
It's a small shop full of pricey, yummy things. Order hot food in the back. We got an oyster po'boy to share on the tables in front of the Grill and it came with fries and cole slaw. Yum! The oysters were nice and fat. The fries were perfect. The Maryland She-Crab soup, on the other hand, was a huge disappointment. It was made with a clear, tomato-based broth. I could barely discern the presence of crab. A HUGE disappointment. If you ever at the Grand Central Oyster Bar when she-crab is in season, please try it. It is heavenly. And yes, this place is expensive... but it takes money for seafood to travel from NYC, doesn't it?
google avatar

Wan Wan L.

Yelp
Nassau Street Seafood has the freshest seafood in Princeton. All the fish are freshly caught and delivered in the morning. I have bought both salmon and tilapia from them, and I'm definitely not disappointed! Not only do they sell seafood, they also sell fresh produce and gourmet packaged foods (soups, pasta sauce, salads, etc etc)...they also have freshly baked artisan bread. If you don't feel like going to the grocery store, you can stop by here and you can find everything you need. They also have a food menu. I got the Tilapia Wrap, and it was very fresh as well. They cooked the fish in front of you, so the service can be a little bit slow. But it's all worth it! Will definitely come here again for lunch!
google avatar

Annie K.

Yelp
I really adore this humble, no frills, lunch spot! I love that it's a fresh seafood store, and I think the lunch deals are priced decently for fresh seafood, usually ranging from $11-$16 for an entree. I got an oyster poboy the last time I visited -- it was good but the sandwich felt like it was missing something, and erred on the bland side. Again, this place is a no frills, just-eat-fresh-seafood, who-cares-about-seasoning-and-presentation place, which is endearing in its own right. Our orders took a while, but I didn't mind as much because we just hung out at the outdoor picnic tables while waiting.

Steve M.

Yelp
Normally, this is my go-to seafood store, but it's not coping well with social isolation. I got there around 2 PM on a Saturday to find a line of people backed out to the curb. Someone in the line told me that a customer had tied up THE ENTIRE STORE for 20 minutes! I left. Gee, guys. I know you can't let everyone into the store at once. But you could send someone outside to take orders and payments and hand people their food. Think about it, please?

Yelp
Have a few people coming over and ya wanna make seafood-something-- go elsewhere ( unless you normally go to yelp eateries that are $$$$), then be my guest ( or be their guest i suppose?). Their seafood is extremely expensive. Guacamole is 6.99 for a small container, its a bit ridic. Lunch/dinner- Their grilled talapia sandwich was awesome. It had two kinds of lettuce, tomatoes, a nice chunk of healthy looking talapia on a kaiser bun ( i think thats what it is). It was filling. 8$- not a bad price for seafood..for that price i would have loved some fries-- but ill take it! I want to try their blackened chicken next time. It took them under 10 min. to make it fresh. Staff was friendly. 5$ min credit card charge.
google avatar

Yelp
Great little fish market near Princeton Univ. We had the blackened catfish sandwich with fries for lunch. good portions and reasonable priced. Outdoor seating or they may let you sit in their restaurant next door. Its also across the street from a bike shop that sell Trek bikes +

Joseph B.

Yelp
Tasty and reasonably priced for lunch take-out. Fresh seafood looks amazing but just a little pricey.
google avatar

Victoria P.

Yelp
I've been here a few times over the past few years and do love the local and high end ingredients they provide. I think my favorite times have been just shopping for ingredients here. I had the ceviche tacos awhile ago and wasn't too impressed, a bit soggy. And yesterday just tried the lobster bisque and something was wrong with it, I think they put wayyy too much brandy in it and it became inedible. Good groceries though.
google avatar

Deepika S.

Yelp
Love love love the French curry salmon, blackened salmon sandwich, shrimp and chips and fish tacos. Fried fish and chips were good too. The only thing that was a let down was the oyster po'boy
google avatar

Kenneth R.

Yelp
You can buy fresh fish here, and the fish looks really good! But I'm reviewing the takeout lunch that I got the other day. As other reviewers have undoubtedly described, you can buy your lunch here and eat it at one of the Blue Point Grill tables, either inside the restaurant proper or out in front. I got a fried soft-shell crab that was nested on top of a "caesar-like" mixed green salad. The crab had been fried some time in the recent past; it same out of the cooler when I ordered my dish. It was quite good, given that it hadn't been fried to order, but I can't say that it was a home run. The salad was not especially fresh or interesting; the shredded cheese and creamy dressing that came with it helped matters quite a bit. I'm keen to come back and try other things -- like the shrimp roll, let's say. My friend who led me here said very positive things about the seafood market; he bought a pound of hake fillets as we were getting ready to leave.
google avatar

Sumaia I.

Yelp
I had such high hopes because I've eaten next door a few times and enjoyed it. But the take out menu is on the verge of awful. The po boy is really bad and hoagie heaven does a great one. The fries are frozen and hard and oily. The worst was the the clams. They were tough, rubbery and tasted old or frozen. We threw out all the fries and most of the clams. Would never recommend.
google avatar

Samantha A.

Yelp
I don't fry fish or anything for that matter, but on Christmas Eve I have to eat fried fish. It is tradition. I ordered two pounds of fried flounder and the quality of the fish was excellent. My family devoured it. The price of the fish was outrageous, but I am always feeling generous around the holidays so I won't really complain. In short, I would order from Nassau for a special occasion, but not a Tuesday night.
google avatar

Jia Z.

Yelp
Best place to buy seafood in Princeton area. Good service and fresh seafood. Although it is on the pricy side, it is still cheaper than eating at the restaurant.

Mike C.

Yelp
I had a craving for fish n chips yesterday and did a Yelp search and found Nassau Street Seafood and Produce. I large picks of fish with a big helping of fries made for a delicious early dinner (and a bargain for $9). Can't wait to come back again

Brooke F.

Yelp
Ordered some raw bar items. While they were fresh, the clams were minuscule. So small in fact that I wonder how they could meet the regulated minimum size for harvesting.

Jack P.

Yelp
Worth the drive for fresh seafood. Extensive selection of fish. Pick what looks good, some veggies from their produce section and cook!
google avatar

Daniel S.

Yelp
BEST FISH IN TOWN!!! We love this place! They have amazing produce aside from the freshest fish in the area! I love walking in, fish and seafood everywhere and not the slightest smell of it just a cool salty sea breeze when you enter! It's a one stop shop for a healthy full meal from great potato selections to the freshest fish and veggies!!! It doesn't get any better then Nassau Street Seafood!!
google avatar

Yushan S.

Yelp
Great place for seafood! Food here is fresh and delicious. I am a big fun of the snow crab dinner special. The salad and sandwiches are also the ideal choices for lunch.
google avatar

Paul Y.

Yelp
Cons: The stuff here is expensive enough that you'd expect 3 fish to feed maybe 5000 Pros: I guess they can only command so high a price because this is the freshest fish you can get in the Princeton area. I regularly buy from their prepared food menu as well because any time anyone wants to go to Hoagie Haven, I pop over here instead. To date, my favorite experience was when I ordered one special sandwich, and they gave me two with fries by accident. However, most things are fresh and still fast-foody enough to be satisfying. Their fish is sometimes sushi grade, depending on the day. I've had it many times, with no health problems, so at this point, I think that the fish they tell you is fresh enough to eat raw is indeed fresh enough

Yelp
I am a regular so I am known by face, possibly by name at Nassau St Seafood. I love the quality and service that this place provides. I feel so lucky that they are here. When I order a meal to eat outside or to take home I always order the grilled salmon caeser salad....I can not eat anything else because it is PERFECT every time. On a nice day when the restaurant next door is not open the chairs are available to sit outside. People can byob if they choose. It is a great way to see friend and neighbors. When I am cooking in I order the salmon. I have also ordered other fish types but I usually ask for cooking suggestions when I do that. The staff never disappoints. They have excellent customer service. They smile and are always friendly.
google avatar

Danan R.

Yelp
Came here for lunch and had a satisfying, flavorful meal for under $10, complete with grilled salmon, coleslaw, and french fries. You order at the register in the back and can sit to eat in front of the Blue Point Grill or inside (at least during lunch hours). The platters were ready in less than 10 min, and very hot and fresh. Everything was made to order and seasoned very nicey. Fries were cooked to the perfect degree of crispiness, the salmon was fresh and flavorful, and the portions were pretty generous. Great for a quick lunch on campus. Plus, Small World is nest door so you can get coffee, too.

Yelp
I'm surprised that no one's mentioned that Nassau Street Seafood makes the most amazing grilled fish sandwiches in the back. Yes, it's a bit strange that a fish place has a grill and cooks the fish they sell, but it really does make perfect sense--particularly once you eat it. I recommend the grilled tuna sandwich (I prefer it rare or seared, but as they say, eat undercooked seafood at your own risk) with tomatoes and lettuce. I think it's $7 or $8? It seems pricey, but portions are large. They also offer various cuts of fish and fried options, but this is by far my favorite. They also sell a myriad of other raw and pre-prepared goods, including produce, chowders, local apple cider, pies, and of course, fish and other seafood. Things are expensive, but then again, this is Princeton. I used to literally live around the corner from this place and Blue Point Grill. As a matter of fact, the owner was my landlord (hi, Jack!). I can testify that their truck does come in early every morning with fresh fish (good thing I'm not a light sleeper). Tip: Get the fries for your side dish (included with a sandwich). The other option is slaw, but these are some tasty thin-cut fries!
google avatar

Yelp
Top quality products. This place goes direct to the Fulton fish market every morning to hand pick products for sale. Of course, you pay for it. It is a bit overpriced, but if you want good fish this is where you should go.

Yelp
This review is for the retail aspect of this business, not the take out restaurant part. Every area needs a fish monger like this, sadly they are harder and harder to find. I've been going here for years whenever I want the freshest fish available. I try not to go with any preconceived notion of what I want, and just look in the case to see what is interesting. You will find things here that you did not expect. Sea urchin, razor clams, Nantucket scallops(shellfish crack!) and species of fish not found elsewhere. The produce is limited but very good, local when possible. Some of the prepared foods are good as well, decent chowders and really good stuffed clams. Customer service is very good, and the mongers will tell what they think is best that day, Yes it is more expensive that most supermarkets, but this is fine dining quality fish, as good if not better than you would find in the best restaurants.

Yelp
Nassau Street Seafood is definitely a great place. First and foremost, the fish is fresh (fresh enough to be used for a tartar for example) and delicious. And there is a lot of choice. They also have seafood and fish salads that just look yummy. Second, their selection of products is good. I do not know where they get them, but once again, very fresh and tasty. There are stuff for cooking the fish (herbs, ginger...), for accompanying it (salads and vegetables) and for desert too (freshly cut watermelon and plenty of fruits). Last but not least, their "to-go" section is a marvel. One of the best lunches in Princeton. It has fish sandwiches and wraps, Po'Boys, fried clams, salads and everything is delicious (and not too expensive either). Of course, you can't seat there, but it does not matter too much in summer or when you live close by (which I do).
