The New Favorite Restaurants of 2023 | Eater NY

"This new Detroit pizza pop-up has been serving some of the best pizza lately out of a couple of breweries and a kitchen in Brooklyn; it’s the spot I’ve been recommending everyone try." - Eater Staff

Really solid Detroit slice. I had the hot honey, pepperoni, and bacon combo, + cheese and they both hit just right — crispy edges, great balance, and a bold, rich tomato sauce that stood out right away. They even hooked me up with an extra pepperoni slice, which was awesome (pretty sure that was Nate — thanks again if so). Definitely one of the best square slices I’ve had. I will certainly be back. Highly recommend checking these guys out.

Look man. Let’s keep it honest. Here’s the scenario, I’m going through a breakup, the weather was a tad cool bleak and dreary (not ideal for a upbeat day;) just for me to be walking west on Atlantic and stumbling on “Nate’s Detroit Style Pizza.” Upon walking in I knew I had stumbled upon a gem here in Brooklyn. Vinyl records of some of the most classic albums of all genres were nestled on the wall. Fitting once I got to the register the pizza laid behind the glass like shiny penny on your dresser. Nate, the owner greeted me and asked what I wanted. He made some suggestions I took his word for it-and look, here I am in a review telling you about! The pizza is some of the best in the city! You get a chic cozy vibe with a few good slices to go with it. If you’re like me maybe just stay in the store and just vibe out while improving your day and having some of the best pizza out in the city right now. Check them out! P.S. try the hot honey on one of your slices, ya diggg

Randomly stumbled into this pizza spot and was for sure the highlight of the night. Nate was absolutely amazing and allowed us to choose a vinyl on the wall to listen to while we ate. The pizza was SO good! One of my favorite slices so far in the city

🔥 Top 3 slice in the city, no question. Nate’s Detroit absolutely delivers! Crispy crust, perfect sauce to cheese ratio, and always fresh out of the oven. The vibe here is on point too. If you talk to the employee behind the counter, they might throw on a record while you eat. Can’t beat great pizza with some vinyl spinning in the background.

If you're lucky enough to live near Park Slope, consider yourself even luckier now — because Nate’s Detroit Pizza just rolled into the neighborhood like a rock band you didn’t know you needed. We first found Nate’s down at Industry City, and it was love at first slice. Now they've set up camp right here at home, and it’s an absolute game-changer. The pepperoni? Criminally good — those perfect little grease-cupped discs that sing when they hit the oven. The crust? It's the kind of thing you’d cross a city for: light, crispy, unapologetically rich. Each bite feels like a small rebellion against the ordinary. But it’s not just the pizza. Walk through the door and you’re met with a kind of warmth that feels rare these days. A place that welcomes you like an old friend, hands you a slice, and reminds you why food matters. Nate’s isn’t just a pizza joint. It’s a new go-to. It's a good reason to be grateful you live here. Kiddos to the pepperoni. Cheers to Nate’s. Welcome to the neighborhood — you fit right in.

This place is like velcro…total ripoff! $9.00 SOAKING WET for the smallest tastiest piece of pizza in town. I had to take this to the boys at CERN to perform electron microscopy to see this thing. yes, it was delicious, but imagine if you paid $90,000 for a beautiful car and they just give you one delicious tire. Do better Nathaniel!

Place is unreal. Pizza is even better. Fresh herbs on every slice. Can’t say enough good things about this spot. LGRW
