Where to Find The Best Food on Coney Island | Eater NY
"Our last stop was meant to be Nathan’s so we could split a final frank before catching the F, but as we reached Surf Avenue a giant crowd suddenly converged and formed a long line for the advertised five-cent hot dogs; slightly disappointed, we hopped on the train and went home planning to try several franks on our next visit." - Robert Sietsema
Very rude cashier. Customer Service has gone out the window. I don't need to hear your huffs and puffs when I ask for ketchup to put on my rubbery hot dog and burnt fries.

GET THE GAS STATION PIZZA! If you have to stop at this exit at all! from the looks of the reviews, all the negative ones are accurate lol-but they are ages old and nothing has been fixed. Cashier did not speak good english and had lots of trouble taking my order, which I had to repeat several times and correct the amount she was charging me. I got 2 bare dogs and a handful of condiments thrown into a bag-and when I asked for the sauerkraut she called it “onions”-which scares the crap outta me that she works here and doesn’t know the food. Nathan’s-your name is being blasphemed in this place….

I passed by today and the girl who took my order acted like l was bothering her instead of ordering food. Horrible attitude and the fries were burnt, not worth to pay 9.50 for small fries and a small coke. The franks were also burnt on the grill.
Never again.

Pretty sure the cashier this morning is skimming money from the register. She claimed the credit card machine is down and to pay with cash. She told me the hotdog was $5 and then rang something in the register up as $0.99 or $1.05 with tax and then took my $20 and gave me $15 back. The display said $18.95 in change.

Ladies completely ignored my presence and continued speaking loudly in another language that I didn’t understand. I asked for a condiments on the dog and they left it plain as could be. Fries were soggy and old, dog wasn’t any better and even the bun was cold and hard. Everyone should be fired and new management should take over if Nathan’s has any hope of maintaining its reputation. Extremely disappointing experience!

Definitely not nathan style hotdogs. Taste like boiled hotdogs, service was horrible. Lady working there seems to be more concerned with talking on phone than working. Definitely not recommending. Also extremely overpriced, $11 for two gas station hotdogs

Never again. This place is a joke. The employees really don’t care about you or your order. They just ignore every single customer.

They are not the coney island version. They are not the original snap dogs. False advertising. They are skinless.
