Yelp
OK, another try. Same rating, though.
First of all, I sat at the counter for 15 minutes before one of the many waitresses milling around an almost-empty restaurant came over to ask me what I'd like to order. And, by the way, I was sitting at the counter! It's not like I was tucked away in a corner booth, in the back.
That's not good.
Second, I ordered my salad, and told Kelly, my waitress, to "86 the onions". It showed up with onions, of course. I asked her if she had not heard what I said when I ordered, and she said, "Something about the onions? I didn't understand it. I just ordered it regular".
So, that's not good.
Third, I ordered the fish and chips platter, and when it showed up, I received only a knife (no fork) to use. When I asked for malt vinegar, the server brought me a plastic cup of vinegar; but it was the type of vinegar used as half of the oil and vinegar combination that goes with salad.
That's no good.
The food was just OK; not bad, not good, just, you know, OK. The service was not even mediocre.
I left my waitress a big tip. I felt sorry for her. She was clearly overmatched by the demands of the position.
