Love coming here. We’ve frequented this place over the last couple years and quality has definitely been consistent each time. I love that they use locally grown produce. My favorite things to eat are their chicken tocino, breakfast plate with chicken sausage (freshly made and packed with great flavor), homemade spam, and their baristas are great at artfully preparing our yummy mochas. Weekends get a bit busy but well worth the wait and price.

This place offers a fresh, farm-to-table dining experience with a menu inspired by Southeast Asian flavor. My favorite dishes like the Grilled Chicken Tocino and Brioche French Toast shine, noted for their balanced flavors and organic ingredients. They also have vegetarian and vegan options. The cozy ambiance and seasonal ingredients make it a great spot for brunch or dinner! I definitely want to go back for their homemade spam next time!

Decent brunch spot in Walnut. Chicken Tocino 3.5/5 wouldn't order again. Chicken is really dry. Oysters 5/5 $4 each though Ceviche 5/5 coconut milk base. Star of the meal

Came here for brunch on a Saturday and there was no wait. I ordered the vegetarian shakshouka and my friend had the breakfast burrito with avocado, no meat. I liked the vegetarian and vegan options. Shakshouka was full of tomato flavor and the bread it came with was perfectly soft with a crunchy crust. The burrito was so good paired with the salsa. Service was 3/5 because I felt like the server was rushing us by giving us the check when we didn't ask for it, and she also asked if we needed a box for our leftovers when we were still eating.... And we had only been there for less than 1 hour at that point.

Google
The service is very good. The food looks healthy. All the food tasted good. But I think the scrambled eggs were a little bit too salty and the bread was a bit hard to chew.

Google
This Filipino- owned spot is definitely worth the wait to be seated. Their breakfast bowl was like nothing I’ve had before with the potatoes lightly fried to perfection and a unique blend of okra and seasonal squash inside. We also had their Ricotta pancakes topped with a fresh berry blend and you could easily taste the difference between what you would find in a mainstream chain restaurant serving breakfast. They were both so good that I can’t decide on which of the 2 plates we enjoyed more. We each had their Honey Lavender Latte w/ oat milk and it was one of the best I’ve had! Servers were friendly and attentive and I couldn’t be more impressed by how knowledgeable their host was. She knew all about where they sourced their produce… Organic as much as possible and harvested locally. Our meal was insanely good and I will definitely be back!

I've been wanting to try this restaurant because I hear good things about it but was disappointed when I finally tried them. We arrived at 130pm, we were seated right away and orders were taken at a reasonable time. Our drinks were very good and was delivered at a timely manner. Our food, on the other hand came at 218pm. Our server never came back to check on us nor did she update us on the status of our order. I know they cook their food fresh that's why it takes a while but our food was so greasy. I got the salmon with vegetables on the side and my friend got sisig. The vegetables and sisig were soaking in grease. The avocado toast was perfect. It didn't look like they were busy in the kitchen, I just hope they paid attention on what they served us.

Google
This is a unique place to dine as it boasts organic food, wines and drinks along with potatoes that were grown from Cal Poly’s farm. The food was very good especially the truffle fries. All dishes that we tried had a strong flavoring as opposed to tasteless dishes at other organic restaurants. The service was decent, but could improve some. The seats were quite uncomfortable and the lighting was terrible. There was a solo guitarist who entertained us, so that was a plus. Oh, the sangria was very weak, it tasted okay but had very little alcohol in mine. This is definitely worth a visit if you are in this area. Update: we’ve returned for lunch and the service was much better this time around. The food tasted about the same, they were tasty but bit on the oily side, but that’s expected from the Filipino infused dishes.

Yelp
Came in on a Wednesday at lunch time. No wait for a table for 2 and was sat immediately. Inside has a decent amount of tables, lovely interior, a bar, and lots of natural lighting which I loved. I ordered the pistachio latte and the chicken tocino bowl. The pistachio latte was great, but it was not sweet - I am okay with that, but I know some people expect lattes to have sweetness so just be mindful if you are ordering this to make the proper adjustments to your sweetness liking! The bowl was so yummy. It came with a salad, rice, tocino, and roasted veggies. The flavors were amazing and there was a nice char to it as well. I had no idea this place was in the plaza, so I will definitely be coming back to try more menu items!

Yelp
4.5 ** Would be 5, until the end. Huge mistake but a very big one. Food was delicious and loved how you can make reservations. My lavender matcha was ok, my friend got the regular iced matcha sweetened and I liked that better. ***Only thing is at the very end, we were paying and not our server helped us pay the bill. I'm not a fan of these portable payment methods as it's so hard to double check, but I always try to. Which is good because she gave me the wrong bill! I paid and was confused as my total jumped about $40... and had to check my digital receipt (good thing I always say yes to getting my receipt) she had me pay someone else's bill. Which was about $40 more than mine. Be very careful, very bad mistake imo.

Yelp
Want to thank the waitress for recommending such a satisfying dish my first time here. It's like Going to Republique down in LA Brea but you don't have to drive that far either. The Chicken Tocino was Excellent, right tenderness, very balanced flavor profile not too sweet, cooked through, right amount of char, paired with a Philippine influenced Vinegarette salsa, Perfection! I would have preferred the brown rice that complimented the dish to have less oils and butter, but overall with the baby roasted carrots, baby Gai Lan / , wild mushrooms, just want to give the presentation a solid A. Definitely something I would come back and reorder! The tomato soup was a bit more acidic, would have been nice if they added maybe a line of cream on there, but overall, taste was great! Loved the ambiance here, the music, the lighting, it all goes very well together. I was seated on the non-bar side, Alot more quieter during the weekday, I'm sure this place gets packed during the weekends. Next time I revisit, I'll drop in for their cocktails.

Yelp
A cute little brunch spot in Walnut with a focus on locally sourced ingredients. We came on a weekday around 10:30am and we were able to get seated right away (granted, it was raining outside so that may have deterred more patrons that usual). Their menu isn't huge but it does have a decent selection of mostly savory items, with a couple sweet items like their french toast and ricotta pancakes. I decided to get their "Breakfast Plate" ($22) which came with 2 eggs, your choice of chicken sausage or bacon, sesame toast, salad and their Weiser potatoes. I'm not a huge sausage person but I enjoyed the chicken sausage and liked that it was more of a patty versus a link. The food was good but nothing extraordinary. However, I did think the Weiser potatoes were the star of the dish with their super crispy exterior and fluffy interior. Both indoor and outdoor dining are available, but as the restaurant isn't huge, I'd say it's better for more intimate groups of up to 4-5 people, and isn't the best suited for groups larger than that. As for service, we got our food after about a 20 minute wait and service after that was pretty much nonexistent. Nonetheless, if you're around the Walnut area and in search of a cute brunch place nearby, I'd suggest giving Native Fields a try.

Yelp
Second visit, and I'm happy to confirm--they still have the best pancakes! The ricotta berry pancake (no syrup needed, fyi doesn't come with the order costs $$) was moist, perfectly sweet-tart, and had a buttery, golden crust. 10/10! Pricey at $22, but worth it if you're splurging on brunch. The Bucatini Mushroom Pasta (vegan) was served room temp and lacked seasoning. The squash flavor was faint, chili oil spice was missing, and the thick noodles needed more sauce. I was intrigued when the server mentioned the hot chocolate syrup was made in house, expects a rich, deep chocolate flavor. However, it tasted like Swiss Miss, the Spanish latte was milky with little espresso flavor, and the matcha was light and watery. Would I return? For the pancakes, absolutely! But I'd skip the pasta and drinks.

Yelp
Return of the Cinnamon Roll Serial Killer Just when I thought my cinnamon roll addiction was cured they drag me back in. They have to tell me they have some fresh ones available. My hands start to shake as the sweat beads on my forehead, ok, ok I'll take one. Then here it comes just staring at me with that smug "I'm covered with delicious icing and your not " look. How dare you, you're asking for it. And that's when the murdering started. First one fork jab, then a cut, then I just ripped it apart. Oh, no I did it again, I murdered another delicious cinnamon roll. Oh the guilt, did it have a family? I need help, I can't control myself.

Yelp
Sadly I am giving this place 2 stars since there was no service & my guests & I waited about 45mins or so for our meals. Ordered the breakfast plate which was mediocre & was my second choice since I originally wanted French toast, but they ran out. The bacon was soggy & not crispy, I make better bacon at home. The potatoes were crispy & the only good thing on my plate, but the toast was on the hard side. Another reason for the low rating is because I reserved a table on Yelp, but when I arrived my table was not ready yet. As for service what service. The waitress just took our order & dropped off our bill. She did not come by to check on us when we were eating. All in all I definitely will NOT return here. Wait time for my meal was unacceptable when I saw 5 cooks in the kitchen. I was better off going to Wallace Chicken had I known I was going to wait more than 30 mins. Menu selection IMO was limited & price wise was not worth it when the meal was nothing wowing. Had better breakfast at other brunch establishments.

Yelp
The inside was cozy and the workers were nice. I got the soup of the day and was warm and went well with the grilled cheese I ordered on the side. My friend got a salad and overall we thought the food was okay but needed a bit more flavor. It looks like a lot of people enjoyed the chicken tocino bowl though so if I come back I'd probably order that next time. The tables are on the stickier side too but I think has more to do with the top coat of the table and less about the cleanliness of it though.

Yelp
What I had: - Ricotta cheese pancakes ($21) - Pan con chicharron ($17) - Pork sisig & garlic fried rice ($22) - Nashville fried chicken sandwich ($12) - Pistachio milk latter ($7) - Cardamom old-fashion ($7) How it tasted: - Out of the food items, the pan con chicharron as well as the pork sisig were the star dishes I've tried; moreover, they were well-seasoned, well portioned, and good temperature. The cardomom old-fashion was intriguing and I'd likely order it again. Why did I give it a four? - Solid prices and overall service. Food can take a bit to come out, but so can the servers. Overall it has multiple options for a variety of picky, yet adventurous eaters. Verdict? - Give it a go :).

Yelp
I recently had the pleasure of trying the Southeast Asian Beef Short Ribs, and it was absolutely outstanding! The beef was fall-off-the-bone tender, bursting with rich flavors that had the perfect balance of savory and sweet. The garlic rice was the ideal accompaniment, aromatic and perfectly cooked. The seasonal vegetables were fresh and added a nice contrast to the richness of the beef. But the real standout for me was the almond satay sauce--it was creamy, nutty, and full of depth. The cucumber salad was the perfect refreshing bite to balance out the meal, adding a nice crunch and tanginess. such an well-rounded and delicious dish. I highly recommend it!

Yelp
Delicious food and a charming atmosphere! I've had Native Fields on my radar for a while, but I finally had the chance to visit on a Friday night. The space is intimate and modern, and there was a live musician that evening, creating a lively environment. I decided to order the burger and was pleasantly surprised by how perfectly cooked it was! Everything was delicious, even the ketchup tasted better than what you'd find at other restaurants.

Yelp
Native Fields is a gem! I started with a mimosa that was perfectly bubbly and refreshing, setting the tone for a fantastic meal. The Yuza Laugar was a standout--its unique flavors were bright, with just the right amount of tang. For the main dishes, the Pan con Chicharrón with fries was incredible! The pork was crispy, tender, and bursting with flavor, and the fries were perfectly seasoned, making it an indulgent and satisfying choice. The Grilled Chicken Tocino was equally impressive--the chicken was juicy, with a subtle smokiness that paired beautifully with the tocino flavors.

Yelp
Food was good (7/10) Ambiance was cozy (8/10) The service was (6/10) We were a party of 5 people and only ones at the restaurant however the food came out sporadically and kind of late. Otherwise the place is cozy and inviting.

Yelp
I heard so much about this place so I was looking forward to eating everything! It was good. Not bad but not as good as I wished for. The spam and eggs was different. I think I like can spam better. I know! I know! It was too crumbly. i did like the fluffy ricotta pancakes. My son loved the burger and husband loved the Pork Sisig & Bagoong Fried Rice

Yelp
After wanting to try Native Fields for over a year, I finally got around to it and I wish I didn't wait so long. All my friends' recs were correct - this place is tasty and fresh! All the food is sourced locally or from a local farmers market (yay!) and you can taste the difference. I shared the winter salad and burger with my friend and it was a perfect happy hour dinner. I got a sangria that was a little too sweet for my liking but tasty nonetheless. The vibes were so cute during the holiday season and I was pleasantly surprised with a live guitarist/singer. Will definitely be coming back!

Yelp
Native Fields is a gem of a brunch spot in our neighborhood. My partner and I have been frequent visitors over the last 3 years because of the following: 1. Consistent quality food from the seasonal produce to the meat 2. Freshly made juices 3. Attentive and kind service 4. Great ambiance. Our fave is the deck for brunch and the live music on Fridays. 5. Delicious strawberry matcha (my particular favorite ) They also change up the menu depending on the time of the year which I love. Although the prices may be a little high, in return you get high quality food/ingredients and great service. You can't beat it. For events, they are communicative and do everything they can to work with you to make your day special.

Yelp
A bit of a wait on the wedding for brunch. Came around 11:30am on Saturday. Waited about 30 minutes for table. They do not take reservation. Ample parking lot The power bowl was very good. Delicious and kind of surprisingly filling. Didn't look really big, but it was quite good.

I love the vibe of this place! It strikes the perfect balance between elegance and cozy. The food are delicious and the presentation is a work of art. Will definitely be coming back. :)

Yelp
Ordered sisig and home made spam. Both were good. Pancake is superb. Service and ambiance were good as well. I definitely recommend this place. I come here quite often.

Yelp
Given the prices, I was expecting a lot for my experience, but this place has largely let me down. First, the portions are pretty small, which, is fine as long as the flavors back it up. Unfortunately, that was not the case today. The server most likely forgot about my wine flight, since it came after food was served and only after I inquired about it. And even then, well... You'll find out. Wine flight (2/5) The wines all tasted very young and earthy, in fact, that's largely all I tasted. Every character of the grape tasted like it was watered down by charcoal water. I am not convinced any of these bottles are worth owning. Sisig fried rice (3/5) The rice was definitely not fried. They were just served separately. That's like ordering a cole slaw, but you have every ingredient in a separate compartment and then after you mix it together yourself, it doesn't really taste like a cole slaw. We were served a side of sisig, with a side of rice, and maybe a quail egg, given how small it was. I was unimpressed by the salty roasted pork belly that was their sisig. The rice was hard and undercooked. It's still edible, but many things were wrong. Salmon roe spaghetti (3/5) First, I do like how thick the spaghetti was, it created a great chewing sensation, the pasta sauce was also pretty decent. It almost moved the needle on this to maybe a 3.5, but the salmon roe did pretty much nothing for this dish, and the shrimp, largely stood on their own. I would've liked more interplay between the ingredients. It was most unfortunate that this place encountered me, maybe others would find this place a note worthy place, but for a person that regularly drops hundreds per meal, this place doesn't really wow me. I might make a face if I was asked to come done here again, I think this place has potential, but they definitely need to trim the menu of items that aren't meant to wow people. The place isn't bad, but not for these prices and quantity.

Yelp
I'm all for supporting local, women-owned businesses. I really love Native Fields. Since their opening date in 2018, the food is consistently amazing. The ambiance continues to be relaxing, and home-like. I love the live music, a simple artist playing electric guitar while singing. I am hoping I can get the live music schedule so I can often visit during those times (please post it in Facebook/ yelp/ your website). I (and my kids) often visited here just for snacks, as their martial art's dojo is in the same complex. Our regular go-to are vanilla latte and garlic fries. This time, we dined in because our dear family friend is with us. I loved the Happy Hour menu. Even though some item, like the fries, was only $1 cheaper than the regular price ($9 instead of $10). But some items, like pasta, Nashville burger were reasonably priced $10-$15. I just found out that they also had kids option, which was not in the menu. My son's kids burger from the kids menu was $16, more expensive than the happy hour burger. From the price stand, it was fairly high. Most of the regular items were in $20 range, with the steak hitting above $40. Comparing with the restaurants nearby, One Vegan World price entrees were below $20, and Mami Mosas' entrees (which is not vegetarian/vegan/ advertised as organic) were in the low $20s. The price was good in comparison of the food taste and quality, but not for the service. The interior remains clean and up to date. I like the fact the wallpaper are all intact from 6 years ago. One of the bowl that served pasta had a big cracked on the top, and fell off the bowl while my son was eating. From my State Health Inspector's point of view, or if I was on the clock, that's an automatic citation. The remaining dishwares were clean, no stain, free of chips/cracks. I understand this might be something that accidentally overlooked. The 4 stars though, primarily because of the service. It took more than 15 minutes for the server to come to us. The server was very friendly and nice, just took a long time to get her attention. We ordered drinks and food all together to speed up the process. We ordered the crispy chicken Nashville burger, the buscatini pasta from the Happy Hour, 2 garlic fries from the Happy Hour, 1 kids cheeseburger, 1 baagoong side frice ($6), fried calamari, 1 red wine, 1 pandan drink, 2 vanilla lattes, 1 Mexican coke. The food came in approximately 20 minutes later, and the calamari arrived when we are about to finish the food, which was more than 50 min later. Throughout our dining, we were having trouble finding server to request for more water. But the place was full, all seats and tables were taken, and only 1 server, and 1 lady that I saw in the kitchen and often bringing food to guest as well. I will still keep coming here for supporting the local business and the food quality. And yes, I will bring guests here as well because the ambiance and the food taste are good.

Yelp
Consider making a Yelp reservation to avoid waiting, though it wasn't busy when I visited. The food was healthy and neatly presented, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. I tried the breakfast plate, which was okay. This is a great option if you prioritize fresh, healthy food. There's plenty of parking available.

Yelp
Finally got to try the chicken tocino bowl--was as delicious as expected, with quality ingredients I've come to expect from here. Service is always friendly each time I've been here.

Yelp
I have been to Native Fields a few times now and this place comes up with some enjoyable dishes. They change their menu items from time to time so it won't be the same always. Having something new is also the fun of cooking! Came here on a weekend and it was packed with a ton of families and just people overall enjoying a meal. I like the interior of this place it reminds me of a home and is very cozy. We ordered to share with our party which was a bowl of yumminess, mushroom pasta, and a summer salad with a side of potatoes. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. My favorite has to be the summer salad it was refreshing and with do many ingredients it blended well together.

Yelp
Food was yummy. Nothing to write home about but high quality and sat well in my tummy. Service wasn't great. But maybe I came at an off time. Ambiance- cute!

Yelp
Food- The food was fresh and delicious. We ordered the French toast, and breakfast bowl. Portion size was good for the prices. It's a farmer market restaurant, so expect the wait to be long. Service- The service was okay. Not enough table check-ins with our host. We waited about an hour to be sat, and we ordered right away. Our food came out about 30 minutes later. We saw a server ask aimlessly where our food was supposed to go. We ran out of water while we waited, and had to ask the server to bring us one. The only time our host checked-in was when we got our food. There wasn't much conversation with our host. When it was time to pay she just stood there and looked over our shoulder while we paid. Ambiance- They have indoor and outdoor door seating arrangements. We enjoyed the architecture, and scenery inside. Overall, our food was excellent. However, customer service, and hospitality needs improvement with the employees. Thank you!

Yelp
Native fields is la gem of a location if you love farmers market produce. They source their ingredients from different farmers markets in the are and depending on the season, their menu may change. We went on a Saturday and had made reservations but surprisingly the restaurant was not too busy. We ordered their calamari appetizer, which was more than enough for two people to share. Taste wise, the calamari was perfectly seasoned that you didn't need to use the sauces. The pickled Fresno chilies added a nice sweet and spicy touch to the dish. Off of their entree list, we got the Squid ink risotto and the grilled chicken tocino. The squid ink risotto is the best we have ever had! The rice and seafood were perfectly cooked and not mushy/rubbery. They folded in little tomatoes which helped to cut the heaviness of the cream but also added a nice sweet touch to the savory dish. It definitely was our top dish of the night! The chicken tocino had a nice smokey/charred taste and paired well with the grilled vegetables. We also got a side dish, the garlic mushrooms and it was so good! They sautéed a mixture of mushrooms with garlic and it paired well with the chicken tocino dish. So much umami flavor! We are so happy we got to visit this place. The food definitely lives up to their name. The service was great and on Saturday night they have a DJ playing music. Definitely worth checking out if you're around the area especially as they rotate their menu with the seasonal produce! Note: there is plenty of parking as it's locating in a small shopping center

Yelp
I highly recommend this place!! Service is great and the food is very fresh and beautiful!! The ambiance is cool and refreshing with high ceiling and it looks very cool and clean inside. Everything was perfectly made and tasted delicious!! It really is farm to table dining experience!! I had ordered the breakfast plate after finding out that the dungeness toast that I had my eye on wasn't available or it was out-of-season. I had started with their iced lavender latté. The lavender latté wasn't too strong and it had a subtle lavender taste which was perfect. I couldn't decide between the breakfast plate and the french toast with fruits. Everything sounded good and healthy. I end up with the breakfast plate because the lady next to me enjoying her breakfast plate made it tasty. The salad was very fresh and the dressing was subtle in fresh flavor, as well. The potatoes were delicious!! The edges were crispy golden and soft inside. It had a perfect texture and taste, not salty at all. The toast was toasted well, but it didn't have any type of jam so I had asked and she gave me a choice of peach jam or blueberry compote. I chose the blueberry compote and it added a nice flavor to the crunchy toast. It wasn't overly sweet, it was a good blueberry flavor, just a hint of sweetness. Everything tasted great!! I need to come back to try their lunch next time!! Thanks Native Fields team for the excellent service and making delicious fresh healthy food!!

Yelp
A little cool cafe tucked away in a quiet shopping mall offering a delightful food selection with friendly service and delicious food. Ordered the garlic , shrimp and it was amazing. The parmesan fries was just the right amount of cheese and salt fot snacking. They support local f&b vendors which is a great idea.

Yelp
Got the vegan power bowl which had quinoa, beets, greens, and avocado! It was filling but definitely on the pricier side for the size. You could tell that fresh ingredients were being used!

Yelp
VERY VERY SLOW! Checked in a few minutes before Yelp waitlist time and was told 10 more minutes, not a problem but that 10 became 20. Had to go in and notify the host again and the table was ready for who knows how long....he didn't come out to inform us table was ready. Once we sat down our waitress was prompt in taking our order but it's been almost 45 minutes since we sat down and our food still has not arrived. A table across from us sat down shortly after us and got their dishes. I've been here a couple times before and although the food quality is fresh and tastes good, this will probably be our last visit unless they can improve their service. The wait times here really should not be as long as they make you wait if staff was not in a lackadaisical mood.

Yelp
On the outside doesn't look big but it was really nice inside and big a dinning area and a grab n go area, the staff was really helpful on picking items we were indecisive on. It is pricey but worth it because portions are huge. I had gotten the BROWN SUGAR LATTE and it came with a cute design, also gotten A CINNAMON ROLL to wait for the food, and RICOTTA CHEESE PANCAKES. I advise not to get a pastry before ur entree my cinnamon roll was huge and delicious that I couldn't finish my pancakes and the food came out fast. Didn't get a photo of pancakes but they were super good comes with fruit on top, they're huge so u think they would be heavy but it was really light. My partner got a LAVENDER MATCHA, which she said it reminded her of fruity pebbles. She also gotten the BREAKFAST BOWL, which was a big bowl but worth it everything was delicious her favorite was the potatoes in the bowl.

Yelp
Sisig tacos (10/10): Honestly such a brilliant idea. Love how much they packed the sisig and even the tomatoes had such a clean flavor to it Gumbo (10/10) Honestly was afraid it would be too heavy for me considering it is gumbo... but this place made it so light where I didn't feel disgusting. Very well season too and just right amount of rice and gumbo ratio! Tocino (10/10) Amazing it's most popular for a reason! Very generous with the chicken and seasoning has been very consistent ever since the very first time I've visited back during covid! Pandan coconut cold brew (9.5/10) So so good. The flavors blend well together, however, it could use a little bit more coconut milk to it. But regardless this is one of the first pandan coffee where it wasn't overly sweet or disgustingly over strong with coffee

Yelp
Service was okay. Food was dry. Or soggy like their French toast. Ambiance was chill.

Yelp
Service quality has gone down a lot. We had reservations at 10:30am and were seated fairly quickly, only waited about 10 minutes after checking in with the host. However we waited 30 minutes for any food to come out after ordering. Followed up on drinks that we ordered after about 20 minutes and was told they were out of cold brew for Pandan Cold Brew AND matcha for the Strawberry Matcha we ordered. So we just cancelled our drinks because we didn't have the time to wait another 20 minutes to order new drinks, would have been appreciated to be told this at the start so we ordered something else. Also asked for extra whipped cream on the side for my pancakes to avoid it getting soggy when I take the rest to go but it was put on top of the pancakes anyways. There was also a couple of stems found in the blueberry composte that made it difficult to eat, could be a choking hazard actually. (See pics) We used to go here often for the service and delicious aesthetic plating of healthy food but was not happy with the service we were given today. Disappointing. Worth noting that the server did comp a side of $2 aioli sauce that I ordered for my fries like thanks but the $2 comp did not make up for the negative experience today.

Yelp
First time here, and drove right past it because we couldn't see the sign since it was covered by the yellow awning for the outdoor dining. There were three of us for a Sunday lunch and we waited less than 10 minutes for a table, nice! Really wanted to try the cinnamon roll since it was recommended by a Yelper but didn't see it on the menu today We ordered pandon coconut cold brew, pistachio latte and chocolate milk. They arrived pretty quick and tasted good. Our entrees: chicken tocino bowl, rock cod red curry, and French toast took about 45 minutes to arrive and the chicken was cold, the curry warm. We let our server know and she offered to get us a plate of hot chicken which was really kind of her. Also, careful you don't accidentally eat ceramic with your rice there was a crack / chip in my bowl. The venue has a very cool brunch vibe and the DJ played some nice hip hop music. Everything tasted good and the staff were friendly but disappointed that the dishes' arrival didn't match their over $20 per plate price. Might return.

Yelp
Unfortunately, we were dissatisfied today. Perhaps they were under staff but the food was not right. The food was cold , even the coffees. The pancakes were over cooked, not good. Overall disappointed.

Yelp
Definitely recommend doing the waitlist on yelp to save a lot more time! We came on a Sunday for brunch and with our waitlist, we got seated right when we arrived! This place has a big parking lot so plenty of parking spaces. Pork Sisig & Bagoong Fried Rice- This was a fusion dish and very flavorful! The pork was very tender and almost melted with the rice. I couldn't taste much of the shrimp paste because one of the flavors of the veggies overpowered a few bites with a sweet/ sour taste. The egg was cooked spot on! This dish could be shareable as well since it was a decent portion size.

Yelp
We were in the area so we wanted to stop by here again; we've been here about 3 times or so before. We arrived at 11:30am and was told there was a wait of about 30-40 minutes. The wait took a bit longer than that, which was fine with us. We were seated and ordered. The wait for our food took about another hour or so... our host came to our table for waters and coffee and apologized for the wait. I don't blame the host, but I'm really not sure about waiting another hour after being seated... Anyway, we ordered the grass-fed burger and the pork sisig and banoong fried rice. Although the prices were on the higher side, the portions and taste were all great. The unexpected lengthy wait (both before and after being seated) and the high price point make it a 4 star for me. I definitely recommend making a reservation early so you can avoid the wait!

Yelp
Had to give it. A try because a friend of mine said they use ingredients and food from farmers market and it's so important to get fresh foods from farm here market and not. Their food was pretty good. Cute little place for sure. I walk in to be seated and the person working the front sees me but decides to put waters on EMPTY tables first... the store is 25% full and you can't take a minute to either seat me or tell me where to pick up my food? Not okay. She finally finishes putting the waters down in EMPTY tables that no one was sitting at just to tell me pick up orders are at another section. So I'm waiting at the other section to pick up my food that's ready and a couple inches from me. About 5-6 employees notice I'm there waiting and none of them help me. The store wasn't busy it was 25% filled. I'm waiting and waiting to the point I just want to leave because what the heck. Finally got my order after taking forever. The size of the chicken sausage was small. Compare it to the size of my fork. I also asked for hot sauce and got like 2 or 3 drops. Overall pretty good but weird service needs tonight drastically improve. I will give five stars because this can be improved and the quality of food was good and I love that they support farmers markets and I love supporting all businesses and putting my money back in the community than big companies.

Yelp
In the city of Walnut to sprout an eatery like Native Fields defines 'Diamond in the rough'. The plaza itself has a constant look of better things to come kind of feel until Native Fields. From the outdoor seating to walking in, sitting to menus.. you'd expect the sunniest farmers market 5 feet from the door. Delicious drip coffee that comes in the cutest mugs and their drink menu looks incredibly inviting. All the flavor combinations, regardless of beverage type just all seem so well paired. The mushroom and broccolini sandwich had the perfect ratio of every ingredient. From the top of the toasted bread you can see pockets of cheese relaxing over tiny little adorable mushrooms and bite size broccolini. Finally somewhere a chef who knows not everyone wants to try and chew on a lengthy stalk. All I'd the best parts of both worlds. And the crunch of the panini, I just wish it wasn't as buttery as leaving grease on my fingers but it does flavor it proper. I don't think they should change a thing. The breakfast burrito was substantial with what tasted like a REAL tortilla. One that's just almost frosted with that translucent glisten. Giant chunks of egg and loaded with avocado for a vegetarian substitute. And the sauce that comes with it compliments every bite of said burrito. It also holds like the real deal. Sturdy, warm and an almost two hander. The ricotta pancake was highly recommended and boy was it yummy. No syrup comes with this but it is covered in blueberry sauce and fresh strawberries. Fluffy pancakes that's crossed with crepes. Fresh cream on top. All the ingredients seem fresh and everything taste like they are all made to order instead of microwaved or heat-lamp items. But it's between $30-40 at least per person. Two hours worth of work at McDonalds these days. Tentative service and friendly suggestions.

Yelp
*reposting to the correct business because my initial review is not on the main Yelp page* My hubby and I were very surprised by the food here at Native Fields. EVERYTHING we ordered was so good! Not that my hubby and I are hard to please when it comes to food, but for a fusion brunch place, I normally find them meh at best. The Grilled Chicken Tocino Bowl ($23) was beautiful, delicious, and filling. I couldn't finish the bowl on my own. I have seen a few pictures where this looks very sad and bland. I think it really depends on the seasonal veggies at the time when you order. I asked what their seasonal veggies were before ordering, so my tip to you is to check before you get this. It's still pricey for what it is, but this is definitely made with good quality ingredients that are also a decent portion. Pork Sisig & Bagoong Fried Rice ($19) was also good! I love the fusion flavors in this. I wish the shrimp paste was more prominent, but I totally get that they dial it back because it can be very pungent, and not everyone has a palette for that kind of taste. Ricotta Cheese Pancakes ($20) caught my hubby and I off guard. I like pancakes, which is why it is normally hard for me to order a pancake that is $20 because I hate to be disappointed. Pancakes seem so simple to mess up for most people, but I am picky when it comes to pancakes. The Ricotta Cheese Pancakes were perfect! It was browned to a crispy exterior that stayed crispy the entire meal (we shared this where everyone takes a piece throughout the meal). The berry compote was fresh and not too sweet. It went very well with pancake. The pancake was fluffy and not dense. Also, the pancakes were HUGE! My photo does not do it justice. Love the food and interior decoration from Native Fields! I highly recommend it!

Yelp
New favorite spot in Walnut. I'm not sure about the brunch/breakfast, because I've seen some questionable reviews on that, but the standard lunch/dinner options are exquisite. They use organic, farmers market quality ingredients for everything, and it's the only hipster spot in Walnut, but price is extremely reasonable compared to places in LA. GRILLED CHICKEN TOCINO was my favorite. It's got everything you need for a meal after the gym (located right next to 24 hr fitness too). The grilled chicken has a superb flavor and it's juicy as hell. All the ingredients feel super healthy, so definitely come after a work out. 8 OZ GRASS-FED BEEF BURGER was also amazing, one of the best restaurant burgers I've had in a while.

Yelp
Came for brunch on a weekday and was greeted as soon as we opened the door. Service was attentive and our server had a warm and bubbly personality, which I loved. The interior is trendy and welcoming - it gave me highland park brunch vibes in walnut haha. Got the pandan coconut cold brew, matcha einspanner latte, grilled chicken tocino, and pork sisig. The drinks were both delicious and refreshing. Both of the bowls were SOO flavorful and I loved how there were a variety of fresh veggies. The chicken and pork were both tender and juicy as well. Price point is on the higher end but portions are huge and I appreciate that all the ingredients are from local farmers markets, supporting the community. Definitely a midweek treat coming here and can't wait to come back to try their sweet dishes as well.

Yelp
This place has such great options and their food is fresh and light. The breakfast sandwich was delicious and worth a try! They do charge extra for sides such as fruit and potatoes or fries. They had a live DJ when I was there however I don't know how often they do that. It was nice and lively in the restaurant and the service was very attentive. Would recommend for a small group

Yelp
What can be better than a diverse menu with 100% locally sourced ingredients, founded by two women leaders? You can't beat Native Fields! I suggested this restaurant for brunch with two girlfriends. It's beautiful located in the heart of Walnut and although it was a bit hard to find in the plaza, it was well worth it! I made a reservation on Yelp the night before just in case and we arrived about 10 minutes late being the latecomers we are. We were told they had given away our table already. We waited about 10 more minutes and another table was ready for us, fortunately! The seating at the booth was nice and comfy but I did wish it was a little more spacious. My girlfriends and I started off with iced lattes all around - wanted a sweet pick-me-up and it did just that! We all loved the flavors. We also got their Farmer's Market Mimosa and my friend said and I quote, "This this is best mimosa I ever had!" I can definitely attest to that. Their mimosa is $15 each but it was made pretty perfectly. It was the perfect sunshine-yellow cocktail to ring in the new year! For starters, we shared their Cheese & Charcuterie Board. It had 3 kinds of cheese, 3 kinds of salami, toast, jam, olives, and cornichons. It was a wonderful starter set, we especially loved the toasted bread. I got the Roasted Pork Belly and Rice Dish with a side of Pancakes. Honestly, I could've just gotten the pancakes since the portions were huge! The pork belly was tender and as flavorful as it can be. The garlic rice had a wonderful warm fragrance that I loved. The presentation was also a bonus since my friend commented, "Wow! Your bowl is so artsy!" haha! To note, I haven't had pancakes in probably over 5 years, I mainly am a waffle-loving kind of gal but felt like pancakes that day. Their pancakes here I think made me a pancake-lover again. Now I can't stop thinking about eating pancakes! Due to the portions, I got to take it home and enjoy it a 2nd time around! My friends ordered the Muffaletta sandwich and a French Toast. They both loved their dish and couldn't finish the big portion. Just more proof of their generous portions here! While the food at Native Fields was delicious, I couldn't help but notice their decor and signage saying their ingredients are 100% locally sourced at local farmers' markets, non-GMO, and pesticide-free. This fact just makes our experience even better knowing that the restaurant creates an environment where it can extend its positive impact beyond the plate to sustainable practices for curating wonderful food. Thank you to the wonderful team members who showed my girlfriends and I a good time, delicious food, and education on the importance of whole foods and supporting local businesses! I am already planning my next trip back!
