After touring the western U.S. trying vegan restaurants, we're grateful for having one of the very best right here in the Coachella Valley! The menu is packed with really delicious choices, lovingly prepared and presented on cool dishware. Everything is excellent, but I think the Reuben sandwich is the best I've ever had!

Google
We love this place for vegan food options and we order carry out from here fairly often. We have always got delicious food from here that is always well prepared and well packaged for pickup. We especially love their burgers, and the Rueben sandwich, as well as the salads, Buddha bowl, and buffalo “wings.” All of our non-vegetarian/non-vegan friends love it, too! Prices are reasonable, and they usually have our order ready quickly. I have only one complaint…they are busy and popular (one of the very few vegan places in Palm Springs), so sometimes they run out of our favorite items on the menu. Most of the time, we still order from here even if the menu is limited. We will keep going back!

Love Family

Google
The best juice in the Desert! Yep, I want to go back for my juice! My munchie wrap was the business, I would order it again. I see why this restaurant has been here forever because they have a great thing going & I am grateful for the juice 🥤

Ordered online was ready SO fast! Got food for all of my non vegan family, they loved it. Highly recommend the jalapeño burger. Not spicy but flavorful.

I don’t know how I discovered this gem only yesterday, when I visit Palm Springs every week. How did I miss this wonder for the past 2 decades???? I’m still kicking myself. I loved every bite of the foods we ordered after a long day of shopping around Palm Springs. It was so perfect and hit the spot. The service was also super friendly and welcoming, thank you so much ALBERT for your hospitality and professionalism. Pictures speak for themselves, I’ll post them below, but my favorite things were the Gastropub burger and lavender lemonade. I can’t wait to go back and try a new thing off the menu every week. The only thing I will ask for next time, is to not make the sweet potato fries so crispy. But with is delicious

Google
Great food with many layers of flavor. Friendly staff, a real find. My wife and I came here after attending the village Fest. I'm normally stuffing food under my arms when I have the option to dine at a fair/food truck gathering. Knowing my wife wanted to eat here, I abstained and did not regret it. I say that as a grown man with raccoon DNA. I don't normally walk in the doors of vegan restaurants on my own, but my wife is a member of that tribe and this was high on her list. Definitely worth a visit to anybody that can hold a fork. They won't disappoint.

Dining with The Davids

Google
We’re Dining with The Davids. When we go to a restaurant, we bring a group of friends known as our “Taste Buds.” We typically order a 12-course meal, which allows us to really get to know the menu. At the end of the evening, everyone votes for their favorite dishes, which we turn into video content for Instagram and TikTok. For this visit to Native Foods in Palm Springs, we did things a little differently. Since many items are handheld sandwiches and bowls, instead of sharing bites, we asked them to bring out their most popular dishes for our group of six. And wow—this plant-based comfort food did not disappoint! Favorites included: • 🍗 Chicken & Waffles – Crispy “chicken” patties and fluffy waffles with steamed kale and a sriracha maple drizzle. Sweet, spicy, and super satisfying. • 🌶️ Cauliflower Dippers – Lightly fried and tossed in buffalo sauce (or Thai chili), served with ranch. Perfect appetizer vibes. • 🍔 Gastro Pub Burger – Juicy, plant-based patty with tomato bacon jam and crispy onions on a pretzel bun. Rich and indulgent. • 🔥 BBQ Brisket Burger – Tender brisket-style seitan with BBQ sauce and slaw. Smoky and satisfying. • 🥖 Bistro Steak Sandwich – Seitan, roasted tomato, arugula, and blue cheese dressing on a toasted baguette. Bold and balanced. • 🥪 Reuben Sandwich – Rye bread piled high with sauerkraut, seitan, horseradish cashew cheese, and pickles. A must-try. • 🍽️ Backyard BBQ Bowl – Crispy cauliflower, vegan mac and cheese, and slaw. Comfort food heaven. • 🍍 Buddha Bowl – A colorful, nourishing bowl with sweet potatoes, pineapple, chickpeas, and jasmine rice. Even if you’re not vegan, you’ll be blown away by the flavor, creativity, and heart behind this menu. The staff is friendly, the space is casual and welcoming, and the food is seriously good. Whether you’re fully plant-based or just looking to switch things up, Native Foods is a must-visit in Palm Springs!

Great food, many different options. Everything was flavorful and it was prepared quickly. The atmosphere is very nice and we enjoyed the outdoor seating.

Yelp
I wish all restaurants offered such a nice selection of healthy options that taste this great. The interior is simple, order one of their many bowl selections at the counter and take a seat. I'm a fan of their hibiscus tea which reminds me of many Agua de Jamaica's. A perfect place for a quick lunch but still works for dinner too. Ps it's tucked in about 20' into the retail plex so it is not visible from the street.

Yelp
A completely rude and discriminatory environment. I just walked in with my service dog, and was kicked out under the justification of "that is not a service animal". The owner, Sean Reynolds, did not even ask the question "what service is he trained to perform?" --which by law is what should/could be asked. And I would have been able to answer clearly. He instead kept telling me how I was lying as he walked away from me in a disrespectful and loud manner in front of every single customer. When I said, "I can show you his id card and certification", he said "that is not a thing, you are lying". And though it is not required by law to have one, people like me often feel the need to get one - specifically for situations like this. So I told Sean that my husband and I weren't eating there then, and he replied "Okay BYE" --very sarcastically and disrespectfully. To all of this, my dog was NOT BARKING, NOT IN THE WAY, NOT SNIFFING PEOPLE OR FOOD. He was on high alert and looking around, because as a psychiatric service dog, that is indeed part of his trained service when I'm in public spaces to prevent a panic attack. This ended with my husband going back in to talk to the owner on how he could handle this better, but instead he ended up inviting us to sue him. We will not do this because honestly, it isn't worth our time. But we invite you to think twice about supporting a restaurant that discriminates, belittles, and shames people by calling them names in front of other customers.

Yelp
Wow what an experience to healthy eating. Vegetarian dishes and choices were truly amazing. Fresh ingredients and run by people who appreciate what they are doing. Eating outdoors was nice too. Only take credit cards or debit cards so Just Incase.

Yelp
I'm so happy this place was kept alive by the now owning employees after the previous owner filed bankruptcy. They've kept all the classic menu items I love that made this my favorite restaurant. My old location used disposable everything, but here they are using actual dishes and silverware, which is more sustainable in addition to being more pleasant to eat with. The staff is very friendly. Lots of patio seating. Well worth the drive from LA.

Yelp
This popular eatery is one of the few fully plant-based restaurants in Palm Springs. It is one of three locations, with the other two being Chicago and Glendale. Bistro Steak Sandwich was plentiful and delicious. Steamed kale (with sesame seeds and lemon juice) was a great choice for a healthy side. Indoor seating was full, and I was among the patrons who ate in the patio seating area. Atmosphere was casual and lively. Service was friendly and attentive.

Yelp
Native Foods is our monthly stop on tattoo day! Sean and Misty run a great place, with a great atmosphere and the best vegan food! Our entire family are fans of this place.

Yelp
Probably one of the best burgers I've had in a while! We went here on a Sunday afternoon and there were a fair amount of people but no one was in line so our food came out quick. I ordered the Poppin Jalapeño Burger with a side of seasoned fries! The size of the hamburger was pretty good and it was filling also! The mixture of all the ingredients in the hamburger were very tasty and it had a nice kick to it from the Jalapeño's! The seasoned fries were also very tasty as well and had just the right amount of seasoning! I enjoyed the meal so much that I ordered a second one to take home

Yelp
So good! Cute lil place hidden in the smoke tree shopping center; It's been awhile since I came & we stopped for a light dinner, the gentleman that took our orders, was polite & very knowledgeable about the ingredients, being that we were on a cleanse, he helped us decide & it was delicious!

Yelp
Prior to visiting this restaurant, I contacted them on Instagram to ask if any of their food items contained nuts. After receiving no response on Instagram, I decided to call the restaurant to inquire about menu items with nuts. The employee who answered the phone was friendly and informed me that most of the restaurant's dishes are nut free except for the Buddha bowl which contains almonds but those could be removed. The employee ended our phone call by telling me to make sure to let the person at the counter know about hubby's nut allergy since they have a protocol in place. Upon arrive at Native Foods, hubby and I were warmly greeted by the restaurant employee. After hubby informed employee of his nut allergy, she took out a binder and as he asked questions about certain menu items, she was able to quickly telll him whether or not the item he wanted was safe for him to eat. As I looked around the restaurant, I liked how bright it was as well as there being ample seating inside outside of the restuarant. While looking at their digital menu board, I appreciated that although I'm not gluten free, I appreciated that gluten free menu options were clearly noted on digital menu. After getting confirmation that hubby food choices were safe, we ordered a regular order of chicken tenders with thousand island, ranch and chipotle sauces as an appetizer. For our main meals, I ordered gastropub burger with side of mac & cheese and hubby ordered BBQ brisket burger with side of seasoned fries. For dessert, I ordered and an oatmeal cream pie. Our food arrived quickly, was flavorful, and delicious. Hubby and I were especially impressed by their chicken tenders since they were crispy, flaky, and we unlike any other vegan tenders we've tasted (like Gardein.) The sauces that we ordered with our tenders were tasty and I was happy that thechipotle sauce wasn't too hot. My gastropub burger was fabulous and I especially liked the tomaot bacon spread that was on my burger while the mac n' cheese was cheesy but not overpowering in flavor. Hubby said his BBQ brisket burger had the perfect mix of BBQ sauce and tanginess by having coleslaw on the burger. After having the appetizer, our burgers, and sides, the oatmeal pie was the perfect way to end the meal since it was big enough to share and had big flavor. After having visited restaurant and having such a good restaurant dining exerience, hubby and I are already planning out next visit to Native Foods soon.

Yelp
Delicious as always. We eat here almost every day when we visit Palm Springs. Staff is always super friendly and helpful with suggestions (too much too stuff on the menu!!!). The vegan chicken tenders and chicken patties are the best around. They aren't just gardien. It's always a hit and the specials and menu changes are always exciting. Love this place forever

Yelp
This place is like Sweetgreen but way better! Don't come for me, but Sweetgreen is boring and unpalatable despite the ability to customize your order. Native Foods is a much improved version even without customization. There is a huge menu so there's something for everyone. There are plenty of protein packed options too on the menu, but we opted for a lighter lunch this time. The two hot salad dishes I tried were great. It the perfect wholesome lunch-- full of flavor and warming spices. The sweet potato salad tasted like Christmas in my mouth, and the cauliflower shawarma blew my mind with its garlicky profile. I also tried the oatmeal crème pie which was huge and super indulgent. If I was local, I'd love to be back sometime to try some of the sandwiches.

Yelp
Loved the Hustlin' n Brusselin' sprouts! Crispy bites with lemon and Parmesan. The Veggie burrito special with chips and Cauliflower Chickpea Shawarma bowl were both very tasty as well. Service was quick, fast and friendly.

Yelp
The vegan food here is so tasty , every dish I've eaten here has been outstanding! Sometimes I'm in the mood for fresh live food salad or something a little vegan "junk food" like a "fried chicken" sandwich with fry's! They even catered a gathering I had and everyone loved it! Sean and Misty are such good people!

Yelp
Delicious food that is fresh and healthy! I ate here while on vacation in Palm Springs and I wish I had one in Los Angeles. I had the best burger ever with sweet potato fries and it was chef's kiss! The bun was light and fluffy and the sauce was sooooo flavorful. It was so delicious we ordered door dash to bring us dinner from them that same day!! Can't wait to eat there again.

Yelp
The poppin jalapeño burger was amazing, along with the Mac n cheese so good. I was a happy camper!

Yelp
I love native foods!!! We unfortunately lost both our San Diego locations so it was such a nice treat to be able to stop by and get something yummy. I get the chicken bacon avocado sandwich and it never disappoints! The sweet potato fries are delectable too, they put a great seasoning on it. I'm not a full vegan but like to eat vegan when I can and this place is great for vegans, vegetarians and meat eaters alike (if you're willing to have an open mind (; ) The cashier who helped me was very sweet and I purchased a cute pride vegan candle there as well! an added bonus! Thanks Native Foods

Yelp
So so good. I will be going back many, many, many times to try everything on the menu. Super friendly staff, clean space with a nice outdoor seating area.

Yelp
We went here for a nice vegan lunch after an event in downtown Palm Springs. The food was delicious! Each of us took home 1/2 the order to enjoy for another meal. Small place but added outdoor seating.

Yelp
Above and beyond customer service! Great eye contact and the employees understand their menu very well which makes the guest experience feel safe and comfortable. Offering a vegan menu, the sauce flavors are top notch and pair extremely well with all the dishes. Some of my best meals have been any of the bowl selections especially the orange cauliflower bowl. I also recommend any of the Fresca drinks as there are typically 2-3 flavors to choose between. The interior ambiance is very clean, however, it's not a super welcoming space with limited decorating and super bright lighting with various tables scattered around the exterior. I prefer to sit on the patio outside which allows the opportunity to soak in the desert climate and beauty. Regardless, you cannot go wrong with any of the dishes here. Chef's kiss! Thank you, Nature. I look forward to my next visit.

Yelp
We stopped at Native Foods for lunch. I had the Nashville Hot sandwich with fries and my wife had the Bistro Steak sandwich and fries. Both meals were very good. We will stop here again while we are in the Coachella Valley.

Yelp
My daughter was super happy to eat here! We used to have one where we live but they are no longer. It was so nice to eat here again. She had the burger and I had the peanut butter parfait (it's a must!). One of the last great vegan places! The staff was super friendly and I was able to check out the ingredient list, which is helpful!

Yelp
We've been coming to this original Native Foods for years. It's tucked in a little shopping mall with indoor and outdoor seating. You order at the counter and the bring the yummy food to you. It's a chain, but feels local. We beat the crowd by coming a little bit early for dinner. I love the BBQ chick'n salad chocked full of fresh ingredients with a great dressing and my hubby always gets the flavorful BBQ brisket burger. My daughter got the Gastropub burger which comes in a yummy pretzel roll. My grandson enjoyed the nuggets which came with a drink. All were excellent! Not my first and not my last visit to this vegetarian Mecca.

Yelp
This is a review for the Palm Springs Vegan Ruben Run. Native Foods has a great selection of sandwiches, salads and sides. Their Ruben is seitan based with vegan thousand island dressing, sauerkraut, unique horseradish vegan cheese, pickles on rye bread. The seitan is flavorful, tangy dressing, crisp pickles all lead to drip down your wrist goodness. Your choice of a side included. I suggest upgrading to a side of sweet potato fries. $16.95 without tax tip.

Yelp
Absolutely LOVE their Taco salad. I've been coming here the last nine years, and I'll never get sick of the taco salad. LOL also the Peanut butter parfait, so good! Buffalo Chicken wings, another classic!!

Yelp
Good food! Great mood! I learned of the Palm Springs Native Foods location last year, but wasn't able to stop in. Having been a loyal customer of the West LA location in Westwood near UCLA I had to finally stop in and support. I was really impressed with the modern look and feel including the outdoor patio connected to neighboring restaurants and spots at the Sunrise Way Shopping Center. There were only two tables with customers when I arrived so I took my time nulling over the great menu which included sandwiches, shareables/starters, burgers, bowls, sides, soups and salads. Being springtime the menu items are a little lighter, but very hearty. The VeggRib Sandwich, Baked Potato Salad and Cookies all hit the spot. I got a cup of Lavender Lemonade and then blended it with a little of their tea freestyle beverage style which was amazing. I will say that the bread was a little tougher than expected on the sandwich, but still enjoyable and the potato salad could've used some pepper + paprika to elevate the flavor, but appreciate the consistency and texture. I didn't know they had vegan beignets until I left, so hopefully be back before those rotate out (hopefully never). My order was complete within ten minutes and the super kind gent in front was my personal hero who rang me up, gave good suggestion and brought my food directly out to me to go. They typically have some great deals including the occasional bogo - especially if you're a rewards member or users of their app. Easy shared parking lot, but not the easiest to spot if you're a first timer as it's actually just passed Guiseppe's Pizzeria when entering from the Sunrise Way side. Overall you can definitely be a native of Native Foods. Find what you like then try even more!

Michelle K.

Yelp
Our absolute favorite vegan spot in the desert. You can get vegan comfort/junk food or extremely healthy options depending on your mood. We usually bring our pup and sit on the patio and the staff even offers water for him. The patio is away from traffic and nice and shaded. The owners are amazing and know us by name and what our favorites are. We try to come every weekend and it's absolutely delicious every single time. Get the chipotle sauce with your fries.
google avatar

All Good L.

Yelp
The watermelon fresca was perfectly made, not too sweet... fresh mint.... The taco salad was perfection. Everything was so fresh and filling. Misti provided excellent customer service on a busy afternoon.

Yelp
This place far exceeded my expectations! My husband and I are not vegan, but I have a serious milk and egg allergy. So we sometimes try out vegan restaurants and bakeries but honestly this by far was the best vegan restaurant we have been to. He got a burger and I got a wrap and we split so we could try both. So if my husband who is no where near vegan loves a vegan burger than you know it's good haha The staff were friendly and our food tasted fresh. I was expecting more of a fast food vibe but it is more of a restaurant style place to go than fast food which was a pleasant surprise. We will definitely be back!

Yelp
****NOT DOG FRIENDLY**** I'm 5 months pregnant I drove from LA to do some work in Palm Springs for the day. I drove straight to native foods and was starving by the time I got there. I had my dog with me. He's about 8 pounds 15years old Doxin. I take him with me so he's not stuck at home alone for hours. I walked into the restaurant carrying him and NOT planning on eating inside I was just going to order my food and sit outside with him to eat. And I also was never going to put him on the floor inside. Because I know generally dogs are not allowed to sit inside restaurant. But as I was walking into the owner/cashier walked up and said you cannot have your dog in here! I said can I atleast order and wait outside it'll take two minutes I already know what I want. And he said NO it's the law. You can leave him outside. He was extremely rude and loud doing this in front of a full restaurant. I was about to walk out when a nice women heard him and offered to hold him outside. I was not going to leave him in the car obviously or outside as he's escaped his harness before. I ordered very quickly and he never asked if it was Togo or dine in. At that point I was embarrassed and wanted to just get my food and leave. When I said togo he said "Togo???" Clearly bothered and sighed as if it was a huge inconvenience. At that point I wanted to just walk out. I don't know if I'll be back again. I'm aware most places don't allow dogs. But on yelp it says dog friendly and again I never planned on eating inside. ***** update as the manager responded. That is reasonable but the cashier could've been a lot nicer about it. Being rude and loud when I just walked into the restaurant isn't okay. I hope this cashier is talked to.
google avatar

Stefanie B.

Yelp
The service was great, friendly worker, and the food was Delicious! The inside atmosphere was bright and cheery with an option to sit outside.
google avatar

David P.

Yelp
Food is okay, not like when Tanya owned it. 35 minutes before closing time all chairs were already up on the tables, making it look like they were closed. When asking if they were closed you'd think I was interrupting.
google avatar

Jenny C.

Yelp
During a weeklong stay, we found "burger" joint serving 100% plant base. I recommend you skip the burger and try more seasonal menu. Famous Bowl (9/10) Super nostalgic meal, garlic mashed potatoes chicken chunks topped with gravy and corn. Super flavorful and filling! I've always thought that vegan chicken substitutes taste better than vegan beef substitutes. Double cheese burger (5/10) Nothing special imo, just a standard impossible patty smashed thin. The fries were also just average. Meatball Sub (5/10) This was also pretty mediocre, I felt that the meatballs were almost authentic to actual meat but flavor-wise it fell flat. The sauce was pretty good. Jalapeño Hopping Burger (8/10) This was really good! I liked the kick of spice and the pretzel bun. I ordered sweet potatoe fries as my side, they added sugar/cinnamon to it which made them even sweeter. I wasn't the biggest fan of it and wished I got the plain fries.
google avatar

Amy N.

Yelp
Best vegan food place around! Love their sandwiches! Get the potato salad, skip the fries.
google avatar

Sarah L.

Yelp
This place rocks. It's hard to find really good places that are consistent with great food, especially in Palm Springs in August. This is the 2nd time I've been to Native Foods this year, and I live in Maine so that should tell you something. My kiddo found it while looking for vegetarian places to eat. But the food they serve is amazing so even if you are normally a meat-eater like me, I promise you will not feel deprived. I tried the Cauliflower Po Boy with seasoned fries, and my kid had a veggie/salad bowl with farro or quinoa or some other ancient grain I forget the name of. They also offer a selection of flavorful dipping sauces and have about 2-3 choices of lemonade and other fresco drinks. I typically take pics of my food when I write a review, but this time everything smelled so good I dove right in and ate it all - no pics. Probably that is the highest compliment a snap-happy foodie can give! So these are pics from our trip back in January. Also these guys get points for being in a cute little shopping center just a few doors down from the best cupcakes in Palm Springs, but that is a review for another day.
google avatar

Amber K.

Yelp
I visited Native during a trip to Palm Springs and I'm sad because I could eat here every day. I went with my family so I tried multiple dishes and everything was excellent. Great place for vegans and those who are vegan curious.
google avatar

Sheila K.

Yelp
The food is great. The service is good It's a bit pricey, I've tried other things on the menu The orange cauliflower bowl is my favorite delicious! Orange Cauliflower is a must and the Buddha Bowl
google avatar

Kermeka D.

Yelp
This a tucked away restaurant in a shopping mall complex so it can be a little tricky to find. The service was adequate and our food didn't take too long to arrive. We wanted a small bite for lunch to tide us over as we had dinner reservations elsewhere so we shared one Buddha bowl and a potato salad. The staff was very accommodating to give us another plate so we could share. The bowl was delicious and fresh- would definitely get it again and recommend to others. It left us feeling satiated without feeling sluggish or heavy. The potato salad was somewhat bland and could have used some seasoning. The beignets were warm and pillowy- would also recommend them but maybe if you have a larger party since they come in a large order and are best eaten fresh.

Mary B.

Yelp
Yummy vegan food. I love the bistro "steak" sandwich. It's delicious. Highly recommended!!
google avatar

Matthew U.

Yelp
Wow everything here was good the drinks so refreshing the lemonade and watermelon I also had to try a burger and a chicken sandwich see if there was a difference and you bet your candy butt there was each one with so much flavor the buns soft the sweet potato cooked just right the broccoli seasoned in this place even the desert snack peanut butter I got was good I'll definitely be back here!!
google avatar

Josue H.

Yelp
Very good food, a bit on the expensive side but for all vegan, it's a good price to pay! Everything is very filling and natural, what type of food where you can tell you're eating something healthy and you're not going to regret it later there definitely need to be more places like this in the valley. And it's a shame that a place like this is a bit held back by that location. Don't get me wrong, the restaurant was very cute and was decorated nicely. But it's quite small, and in a pretty inconvenient location. Not to mention, any utensils that you would need is by request. If the place was in a better location, with a bit more of the usual " help yourself" services you would expect. I would definitely give this place a five star. Either way, I'm definitely going to be bringing my pickier eaters here
google avatar

Vita L.

Yelp
I love Native Foods and realize they are going out of business but a few tips to keep your business open: make decent food, answer the phone when you are empty and no customers are there, put out napkins and silverware so I don't have to ask for every little thing and, for the love of God, do a better job with those brussel sprouts. I had to throw them away.
google avatar

Gary B.

Yelp
The food is great. I was very disappointed that something happened with the ownership, and gift certificates can no longer be used. That seems completely unfair - people spent money on those, and I was just told at the counter that there is no way that information can be recovered. This is a disregard for patrons. It would help if you fixed this.
google avatar

Cherie C.

Yelp
This place will be out of business like the others soon. We arrived 40 min before close and they were already closed inside. They said we were could order and eat outside. Then they closed 20 min early. Sad.
google avatar

Michele T.

Yelp
I've been dining at Native Foods at least a couple of times a week for years! I love their new chef who is constantly adding new and creative deliciousness! Yesterday, in addition to the Nashville Hot Burger that I adore, I ordered the new Beignets with chocolate dipping sauce! OMG! divine! Another favorite of mine are the cauliflower poppers. Yum! The Manager and staff are always incredibly kind and helpful. It's great that they offer out door seating or indoor when the weather gets to hot here. You won't be disappointed in this wonderful Palm Springs vegan treasure.
google avatar

Holly G.

Yelp
Whenever we're in town we stop by and have their watermelon fresca (it's not too sweet, just tastes like watermelon and mint). Other faves are the lemon-dill potato salad, lemongrass broccoli, and cauliflower shawarma- it's all delicious. Shaded patio seating available.

Jennifer Portnoy P.

Yelp
Delicious food. We had the munch wrap which was so fresh and taste perfect. Side of broccoli which was seasoned with a really nice kick. We also had the Shawarma bowl which was also delicious and extremely fresh. Highly recommend.
