Natore Rajbari, also known as Rani Bhabani’s Palace, is a historical site in Natore. Built in the 18th century, this palace reflects a blend of Mughal and European architecture . It was the residence of the influential Rani Bhabani, sometimes called the "Queen of Half Bengal" due to her significant influence in the region. The estate is divided into two parts, the "Boro Taraf" and "Chhoto Taraf," each with distinct features and history.
The palace grounds include several temples and large ponds, like the notable Jol Tungi Pukur, Though some buildings have suffered damage over the years, including the earthquake of 1897, the site retains its majestic charm. Today, visitors can explore the preserved sections, enjoy the surrounding gardens, and learn about the Rajbari’s significant role in the history and culture of Bangladesh.
