On the Grid : Natraj Dahi Bhalle Wala

"Emerging from the Chandni Chowk metro station, if you follow the mass of humanity taking the 'short-cut' next to a temple, you'll emerge onto the main street of Old Delhi, right next to a small shop with a curiously large crowd. This is the Natraj Dahi Bhalle Wala, operating at this spot since before India's independence and serving up some of the most famous chaat - savoury street food - that Delhi has to offer. The dahi bhalla (deep-fried ground lentil balls served with yogurt) and aloo tikki (deep-fried potato cutlets) are definitely worth the hustle, but you can also climb up to the first floor, where Natraj has table service and a (slightly) more elaborate menu." - Delhi Dallying

The 12 Best Chaat Vendors in New Delhi | Eater

"Dishes in the chaat family typically run hot and spicy, but dahi bhalla is a cooling member of the group, particularly coveted in the capital’s scorching, endless summers. The fried lentil dumplings (also called vadas in South India) are soaked in water to soften before they’re served in thick, slightly sweetened yogurt. On top you’ll find chutneys like saunth and pudina, and with fresh spices for garnish like cumin, chaat masala, and salt. Natraj is one of the oldest artists of the dish, which is a bit of a Delhi specialty, with dumplings that are light and soft, paired with yogurt that’s a cooling balm to the capital’s chaos. The shop is a small counter stuck in a wall in the teeming lanes of Old Delhi, but it’s hard to miss considering the constant crowds outside at all times." - Sharanya Deepak

Whenever I visit Chandni Chowk, Natraj Dahi Bhalla is a mandatory stop! Their Aloo Tikki is incredibly crispy and flavorful, and the Dahi Bhalla is super soft and refreshing with the perfect blend of chutneys. It’s easily one of the best street food spots in Delhi. A must-try for everyone

I tried their famous dahi bhalla, but it didn’t live up to the hype. Since it’s one of the oldest shops (established in 1940) in Chandni Chowk, I expected more. The taste was okay, but not worth the high price. It feels like you’re paying for the name, not the quality.

Dahi bhalla,Alu tikki, Lassi, Uttapam were very tasty... spices and oil not upto the mark.. average quality. Narrow and crowdy street. No cleanliness. Poor service. Rates very reasonable. Only a few items are superb in taste and quality.

*0/5 Stars* **Food Quality & Service Experience** While the food quality at Natraj was decent, our dining experience was completely overshadowed by the poor service and unprofessional behavior from owner and staff. **What We Ordered:** - Dahi Bhalla - Aloo Tikki **The Problems:** The staff displayed a remarkably indifferent attitude throughout our visit. When we ordered aloo tikki, instead of serving us at our table, the owner rudely told us to "go down, stand in queue, and get it yourself." This was both unprofessional and embarrassing for paying customers. The situation worsened when we wanted to order one additional dahi bhalla. The owner flat-out refused our request, stating we should have ordered everything together initially. This inflexible and customer-unfriendly approach was shocking. **Bottom Line:** Despite the food being acceptable, the combination of indifferent staff behavior and the owner's atrocious rudeness made this a thoroughly unpleasant dining experience. Good food cannot compensate for such poor hospitality and disrespectful treatment of customers. **Would I recommend?** NEVER. There are plenty of other excellent food options in Chandni Chowk where you'll be treated with basic courtesy and respect.

We tried their famous Dahi bhalla but it was normal for us like other shops nothing special to mention though people were standing in a long queue to taste Dahi bhalla from this shop only, only cash payment accepted.

Google
Tried their famous Bhallay, Tikki, lassi and Pao Bhaji Food - Tikki was all about oil, Pao Bhaji was bad, could only see colour and oil while Bhallay were average. Lassi was Good but over prised Prices - Higher than average, not worth it Service- Could be better and faster. The chotu was busy and non-responsive. We sat upstairs instead of eating on the street Vibe - Zero It’s over rated and over priced. I would never go back to this place

Very average taste. Trust me Bittoo Tikki wala serves far more tasty Delicacies then them. They are just enjoying the perks of prime location. Attitude was dripping off from the Cashier. Cleanliness was hard to find in surroundings. They were just handing over items instead of serving. Higly disappointed with the reviews of all food bloggers.

If you're in Delhi and craving some authentic street food, Natraj Dahi Bhalla Corner is an absolute must-visit. I tried their Aloo Tikki and the legendary Dahi Bhalla, and both were nothing short of delicious. The flavors are rich, perfectly balanced, and have that classic North Indian street-food punch. This place is always packed. The crowd can be overwhelming, and grabbing your dish from the counter is a bit of a challenge, but trust me, it's one of those places where the chaos adds to the charm.
