Natural Natural Finchley Road

Incredible value for money. Bought the special assorted sashimi and takoyaki, alongside a few snacks. Takoyaki was warm even after I travelled 40 minutes home, and tasted authentic. The special assorted sashimi offered amazing variety, including 6 types of fish and fish roe, and incredible freshness.

Best onigiri in town. Authentic and nostalgic, especially if you grew up eating them. Highly recommend the chicken onigiri with soy sauce or mayo. The salmon option was also really good with a deep, authentic umami flavour. The fried chicken is amazing, freshly made, and very reasonably priced. The pickle onigiri is nice too, though it’s more of an acquired taste. I’ll definitely be back for my weekly treat and can’t wait to try the beef gyudon and sushi.

Love the selection of sashimi options and friend bites, also good selection of sake Would highly recommend! Unfortunately I can only go once every two weeks since I live far away but it's worth the long commuting! Hope they'll open something close to China town in the future <3

The best Japanese supermarket I've ever been to in the UK! A friend who used to live around west Hampstead recommended this place to me and I've been going ever since. Really fresh fish with reasonable price, high quality goods, Japanese snacks to go etc. I forgot my points card many times and every time the lovely staff stamp the receipt for me so I can collect later. Just amazing

This is a very nice neighbourhood Japanese sushi and grocery store. Lots of authentic Japanese products imported from Japan. The staff is very nice and helpful. The products are good quality and if you go at the right time to find sales it’s nice to get lots of goods to stock up.

I’m in love with their ready meals section, brings me back to the convenience stores in Japan, wide range of selections from pastries, rice balls, sashimi to takoyaki, with great pricing. I got takoyaki, salmon sushi and grilled salmon rice ball all for under a tenner. My favourite is the takoyaki, it was still warm when I picked it up, soft and gooey with octopus, the kewpie mayo, teriyaki sauce and pickled ginger were great additions. The salmon California sushi was great as well, no soy sauce or wasabi though. I’m only a bit disappointed on the grilled salmon rice ball, very basic, tasted just like salt and cooked salmon, so a bit of a dry combination.

Discovered this place on a trek up Finchley Road from Swiss Cottage when I saw their vegetable display from the corner. Natural Natural has a nice little selection of Asian and other produce, particularly some harder-to-find items like daikon and baby eggplant, and also fresh lemongrass, a variety of chillies, shiso and holy basil. Inside the store is mostly japanese products, but with a small selection of korean, chinese, and thai items. So wonderful to find a shop like this in this neighborhood. There are also a number of prepared items including sushi (8 generous pieces of salmon sashimi for £4.50), fried rice, noodles, bento boxes, tempura items, and fried shrimp and spring rolls. The smell when you walk into the store is amazing and mouth-watering. The staff are extremely friendly.

Staff member treated me with disrespect. Card got declined and repeatedly asked if there was money on it, not only was this an embarrassing experience as it was just her and there where lots of people waiting in line, she didn't even once think that it was the card Machine. And didn't even apologise after the ordeal!

Good selection of basic Asian staples - very extensive selection of soy sauce and other bottled sauces / liquids. Helpful staff, who mostly speak good English. I regularly come here to stock up on gyoza, and wrappers to make my own, as well as nori, rice vinegar etc. If you can't park outside, nip into Waitrose car park just around the corner. There's rarely a guard to check your receipt on the way out.

Its a hidden gem in NW part of London. Luckily I live near by to go to Natural Natural on a regular basis and I must say - I'm addicted to their bento boxes and chicken karaage. Often when I'm either working from home or when I'm experiencing a moment of laziness to cook, I often grab either the bento box or donburi for a quick lunch/dinner (at about £5-6 its a bargain). They make everything on the day and do provide discount before they close. My only slight issue is that some of their items (i.e. Kimchi or soy sauce) are slightly on the expensive side and you can get then cheaper just down the street at SK Mart.

I went in today at the Finchley road branch and when I went to pay the lady at the cashier checked my ten pounds not to see if it was real. I buy at the shop 3 to 4 times a week regularly, still they insist on checking my money which is, on its own very annoying. Today, however, they was a english lady ahead of me who gave a £20 note. I notice her money was not checked. It seems that the money checking is selective which is outrageous and I felt very discriminated against.

I had a brief stint as a resident of not-quite Swiss Cottage, not-quite Kilburn, not-quite West Hampstead really, technically the post-code checker would call me St. John's Wood, and I was perfectly happy to tell people I lived there and avoid the confusion. In that web of not belonging to any high st specifically, I took to Finchley road for my shopping and Natural Natural for my Asian grocery needs. The staff are great and always willing to help you find something that you need as...well.. the labels aren't in English most of the time. They do some ready-to-eat lunch boxes and have a great selection of soups and noodles to keep your pantry stocked. I'm a lover of the udon noodle + soup base combo packs. They also have fresh produce out front and some fun Japanese sodas and coffee drinks. It's a small store, but they've got what you need!

I am not an expert on Japanese or any other Asian food when it comes to buy the raw ingredients at a grocery store, but this store seems pretty good to me. I have been here a few times now and I know I will come more often. Here I found my Vermont curry for my katsu curry, lots of different types of tofu, dried and fresh fruits, all sorts of oils and sauces some of which I am still learning when and where to use and plenty more. They also prepare take away food in the premises. I have tried a few times now their triangular rice parcels and sushi trays all delicious every time. Lots of Japanese locals shop here which is always a good sign! Staff always helpful and super friendly.

I love here so much! Come very often for my lunch bento, and there are always special discounts on snacks.
