Naugles Tacos & Burgers

Having grown up in LA, I remember Naugles from back in the day. Imagine my surprise to drive around the block from my house and see one just opened! We have been on the hunt for a good ground beef taco for a long time. Not a chain (taco bell, del Taco) type taco... But a good crispy taco. Boy oh boy this taco is amazing! The shell is perfection, so much Delicious cheese shredded the perfect size. We've been back 2 days in a row now. This morning my husband had the steak and egg burrito. Amazing! The steak is marinated to perfection. Don't forget the habanero sauce -- I'm told it's made fresh daily!

My first time here and last time. Salsa was bland and so was the food. No special taste, no special sauce. The young gentleman who took my order was very nice and polite (green eyes). Had the type of personality that shows that he wants to help you and be the best. On another note, the person who seem to be the manager, was handling food without gloves, while the rest of the staff was wearing gloves. I understand that they were busy and that they are new…. But you should always wear gloves when handling food for the public or at least wash your hands were it can be noticiable to the public. Once my order was done, I brought it to his attention (the guy who seemed to be the manager), and he was very receptive/polite about the feedback.

Haven't had a Naugles taco in 30 years since they moved out of Chicago. Employees were super polite. Had the crunchy beef, steak and chicken versions. Also a steak burrito. The steak burrito and taco are really good. Generous steak on the items. And their house mild sauce is my favorite. The crunchy taco is diff from the yellow cardboard ones. Love this version.

Nice to see the chain expanding. The drive thru should bring in extra business since it's a great convenience. The amount of food you get for the price is the key. It's not all about nostalgia, it is great flavor and great service with large portions. This visit was day two of their two day soft opening, They seem to have most of the processes of a new restaurant down and things were going smoothly. I will be back and probably this weekend when they officially open.

We’ve been to the other locations and had high hopes for this one. It did not disappoint! The woman who served us was friendly, and our order was perfect. Freshly made, generous portions—I was debating if I needed two or three tacos, and two was more than enough. Dining room was clean and there is plenty of seating. Parking is easy at this location too. Glad to have a Naugles in our part of town!

It was great! While visiting CA, I had to try the restart of my childhood favorite. It took me an hour to get there, but I'm glad I did. I told them it had been 40 years since I had been to a Naugles, and I was looking for the macho burrito. They excitedly said they had it. I don't remember bacon on it, but it was still very good. I would highly recommend going to 1 of the 3 branches. I hope they can make a go of it and expand to more branches.

My first time here and I was not impressed. First the soda and ice cream machine was out of service. They at least offered me a water cup. According to the staff, the ice machine has been out of service for a while. Then I ordered and paid for a beef chili cup and burger with large fries. After I paid the staff told me they were out of chili.🤦🏼‍♂️. They gave me a refund for the cup of chili. They handed me the burger with no fries. I had to wait about an additional 4 minutes for the fries. Once home, the first bite was disgusting 🤢. The lettuce was brown and soggy with an old taste. The tomato was soft (old tomato), the burger patty and bun were burnt (as shown in the picture). Not to mention the "White Sauce" tastes like watered down ranch (not much of a sauce when watery). Also, I saw how they make the burritos. They scoop cooked meat out of the fridge. Then grill for a few minutes with some oil. Once warmed up, they throw the meat in a tortilla with about two handfuls of shredded cheese. It did not look very appetizing and I did not try it for that reason. I went back and they refunded me the money for the burger. The fries were obviously fresh, seasoned well and crispy 😋.

If this restaurant can teach anyone anything it’s that even if your food is absolutely terrible and inedible don’t let that stop you from opening up a restaurant. This place is just as bad as the place that was there before, how extremely disappointing. To call what they serve Mexican food is a massive stretch of the imagination. High-school cafeteria food would be a much better description of what they sell here. If you like meat cooked without a hint of seasoning served on top of a store bought Mission tortilla and beans and ground beef scooped out of buffet style trays with an ice cream scooper then you will love this place!

A working man's/women's place, if you're picking up what I'm putting down. As I have no nostalgia for the place, with memories through rose-colored glasses, I don't have an affinity for Naugles. If I have a coupon at the ready, then I may perhaps come by again, and explore the rest of their menu.

Being a huge Del Taco fan i had to check out its origins. I decided to go with the cheese burrito combo and a pineapple shake. The fries were upgraded to cheese fries. Of course i was unable to finish my rich meal but the best way to describe this is as if Albertos tried to copy Del Taco. The ingredeints are fresher and more flavorful. The cheese sauce has a decent amount of black pepper flakes and the mild sauce has roasted tomatoes so it has a smokey flavor. The pineapple shake blew me away, its perfectly balanced as if i was having a dole shake. My only complaint is that they took a minute to start my order and appear over staffed but the service is really good. I had a couple of people check in with me.

This brings back so many memories from back in the day. I'm so happy there's a #naugles close to me. I had a combo it was less than $10.00 #tacoburger #fries #rootbeer it was so yummy. The service was great I was greeted promptly upon arrival at the restaurant. The restaurant still has a new look newly remodeled feel. I will definitely return very soon....

Stop at Naugles' and ordered two crispy tacos. (Ground beef and Steak). Each taco cost $2.50 thru the drive-thru window. My greeter was extremely pleasant and I truly appreciate that level of professionalism! The taste of the steak taco was good, but it was a little too salty for my taste; and the beef taco was decent. The portion of food served in a taco was on point. In other words, they serve a good portion of meat! I gave a 3 out of 5 because the true authentic Mexican flavors were not met and the overs quality was a good. Would I be back sure why not support our local vendors. I would suggest adding a spoon or fork because the crumbles after the first bite, which is a good thing!! The shell was extra crispy and it was not oily at all! Taste was good as well! I love that this brand is having a resurrection. Everything here is so good. The tacos are the best thing on the menu. Crispy, sprinkled with fresh cheese and tomatoes. Went to the soft opening yesterday. They're working out the kinks still, but had a great experience as always. The employee working the drive thru was phenomenal. Pulled up to the 2nd window and you can see everyone in there busting their hump. He came back to the window to explain how it was their soft opening and still figuring everything out. I told him it was okay and to take their time, we didn't mind waiting. His response was that it's called fast food for a reason and that it'll be out shortly. Great response. Great staff. So much closer to my house. Love it! Next time gotta sit inside and enjoy my meal. I like the ample seating inside.

Haven't had a Naugles taco in 30 years or so bec they closed all their locations in Chicago. Now that I live here, had to bring my bf to Naugles since he never had back in Chciago either. First off the guy who took my order and another dude working there were the super nicest employees. Very polite. We ordered a bunch of crunchy tacos and a steak burrito. My boyfriend likes the steak taco and burrito the best. Said they were way. better than that Titos taco cat food crap I have to agree. I love the crunchiness of these Naugles tacos as they don't use the kind other places use (ugly yellow cardboard crap). And their mild sauce is yum! 6 crunchy tacos; chicken, steak and ground beef, a steak taco that was loaded and 2 drinks for like $32. I'd say that's a grest deal for good food. My bf def wants to try the soft steak tacos next.

Naugles is back! I love their Bun Taco; it's always fresh and tasty. Artesia is the newest Naugles location and my favorite. Nice large seating area and you can see your food being prepared. Staff is very friendly. They also have a drive thru but it's better to eat in!

This location has the BEST workers. Everyone is so friendly and hard working. The food was delicious - cheesy goodness and fresh ingredients. Love this place!

Finally!!! I love Naugles food! So tasty and the price is right. The workers are friendly. So happy this location is closer to us than Stanton.

Service was fast and the food was like it he Old days. They were out of most sodas but hey they have to iron out the kinks. The egg and cheese burrito is large, the taco bun was good and the crinkle fries fresh and hot.

Food quality and price is a 3/5. Good food and fair price. Not too cheap, but not breaking the bank either. Service is a 4/5. Friendly service. I did ask for red and green sauce for my taco. Got none so I ended up eating a plain taco. Asked for ketchup and got 3 packets. Definitely gave a typical fast food that gives 5 packets of sauce for 15 taco kind of energy when I saw that. Ambiance was clean and appealing 4/5 Nothing unique special or memorable. Just a nice interior and exterior. First time here so maybe my expectations were a little too high assuming they were a higher end type of fast food service. Would've gave a 4 in food, but missing sauce is a costly mistake with food to me. Probably would've been a solid 5 in service if mistakes weren't made. Thankfully is was just sauce missing for me and nothing major. Still would come back hoping for a slightly better experience.

Came for the soft opening. Naugles came back from the grave . This restaurant was popular until another fast food chain took it over .... but now you can once again enjoy their food. This is the 3rd of the Naugles restaurants... Fountain Valley, Stanton and now Artesia. Prices are reasonable, large and tasty portions. Two thumbs up from me on eating here.

Me and my friend decided to get some mex food when we got there there was 0 customers that should of been a warning I got a carne asada burrito my friend got a some carnita bowl we both got food poisoning we both had the worst run definitely eat at with caution not going back there any time soon

This a redacted review. I left a 2 star review not long ago about a so and so experience with the club burrito, mostly it being one side of the burrito being completely cold including the insides. Frank (the owner), reached out to me and he was very informative about how the item was prepared as well as what type of portions to expect (2oz meat scoop), and other important ingredients such as THE LETTUCE BEING VERY COLD (If you plan on buying this item please expect this ingredient to be as described). I went in just now to get a complementary Club Burrito to remedy the last one, definitely an excellent item and I would say much better than the last one. I cannot say what went wrong with previous one but the important thing here is that corporate does care about its customers and about making a good impression. Fats food restaurants nowadays are charging more and more and their service is rather subpar, they have forgotten their place being fast food, that's where other places come in that I recommend you look into, for the same price or a bit higher you can come to Naugles and get a better customer service, better items, and better options.

I went the other day and there was no answer at the Drive Thru. I saw their post on instagram that it's now closed down. :( I The location has had several places fail as it's not the best location. I used to love Naugles as a kid so I'm sad it took me so long to finally get around to coming here. I will definitely go check out the Stanton location though I've heard great things about that one.

Food is just ok, very basic, but the drive thru is why I give this place only 2 stars. I stopped by for lunch during the week. The restaurant sit down area was completely empty and there was only one car in the drive thru line. I figured it would be a quick visit instead it turned into a 20 minute wait time. On top of the ridiculous wait time my simple order was wrong and I was over charged since I ordered steak but mistakenly got ground beef instead. If you find yourself in the area and craving basic tacos... cross the street and go to Del Taco instead.

Whoo hoo they're back just down the street from the naugles we hung out at after parties on Friday and Saturday nights. Josh and Mason were amazing and took real good care of us. Mason came to our table to see if we had everything we needed and ended up

Been here twice now. First time I ordered the tostada combo with fries along with 2 beef tacos. It was good. This is definitely not an authentic taco restaurant (maybe it wasn't meant to be) so don't go here thinking it will be. I like to think of this establishment as a better taco bell/ del taco. My second visit today was a little disappointing. I ordered the beef cup combo. First off the fries were luke warm and soggy, and on top of that half of the fries were missing. The beef cup was also luke warm so none of the cheese on top got even close to somewhat melting. I had to put it in my microwave for it to melt. Again, maybe that's by design? The tortillas used for the soft tacos were not soft but on the stiff side, more than likely they've been sitting out a while. All in all a good restaurant for us locals here. I'll come back again but hopefully you guys will see this and rectify the inconsistencies.

So disappointed!! The staff is still untrained and several of the menu items were unavailable when we visited last Wednesday, 7/05. We have been fans of Naugles since our childhood and often make the 20 minute drive to the Naugles location in Stanton. We were looking forward to having one much closer to home in Artesia, but unfortunately we were both let down and ended up throwing out our food. We were disappointed the moment we walked in. The restaurant looks unfinished, the staff untrained, several items were missing (including half of the soda selection), and the food just wasn't up to the quality that we we get from other Naugles locations. I'm hoping that the quality of the food and employee service will improve, but for now we'll go back to driving to the Stanton location.

My coworkers warned me about the food, but they told me to try it at least once. I ordered the Chili Cheese fries and they are probably the worst I have ever had. The chili is super thick, luke warm and lacks any type of flavor. I was really hopeful for this place, but I will not be back. As a side note- the staff was very friendly, its just too bad the food sucks.

And again!!! Gave them another try... I asked for light beans on my bean and cheese burrito because I read a review about the massive amount of beans they put inside (although 5lbs of beans in a burrito may be someone else's preference and that's ok). I opened the burrito to just scoop the cheese, onions, and the tiniest bit of beans (since it's obvious they didn't honor my request). That isn't the problem though; the problem was the hair that was in my beans. Per the receipt, the restaurant prides themselves on cleanliness.... I went through the drive thru so I can't speak on the inside of the restaurant but the hair in my bean burrito is enough for me. Very nice employees but I don't think this place works for me. Onions taste very crisp and fresh though. I've only wasted $10 here between my two visits but still...

Yummy and affordable and very friendly staff. I like the taco salad which comes with chips and the hard shell steak tacos.

So Naugles is back! This chain of restaurants used to compete with Taco Bell and Del Taco back in the day. Now Naugles is better than both. Over many years, Taco Bell and Del Taco have become a shadow of their former selves. Ever since Pepsi Co and Jack in the box bought them, the quality has dwindled down significantly. The Naugles food today tastes just like it did in the 70s and 80s. Literally felt like I was going back in time when I bit into the Ortega Burger and sipped on their amazing strawberry shake. Do yourself a favor and take time trip to this delicious establishment and devour the authentic nostalgia.

Steak and egg burrito combo is priced good and the naugleburger has not lost its taste

I went to this location and ordered two tacos, one being ground beef, the other being steak. I also ordered a steak combo burrito and some chili cheese fries. I was waiting for my order when the drive thru server told me that they had run out of steak them he came back and said they have enough steak to make my order. When I got home I had one steak taco (barely any meat and the meat was dried up and old), I had one chicken taco (which I ordered a ground beef taco), and I had one steak burrito (barely any steak mostly beans and cheese. I heard good things about this place, but my experience was horrible

The service was amazing, I believe Josh had taken my order at the drive through. He was very pleasant. I ordered the OG tacos which were good. Everything was fresh and hot. I chose the mild sauce and it complemented the tacos very well. The inside appeared clean when looking through the window leaving the drive thru. The soda was very strong which is great because who wants flat soda? Pretty affordable meal and filling. Glad it's not far from home and open until 9pm. I will be returning soon as they are not far from my house.

Naugles was a very nostalgic food memory for me so we were really looking forward to this place opening. Even with it being their soft opening and busy they were all extremely friendly and greeted us when we walked in. The food was really good and definitely lived up to the hype! I would highly recommend giving this place a try, but remember as with any new restaurant it takes a while to work out the kinks. Will definitely be back!!!

Ok. Naugles is nostalgic for me. I was excited to get a Taco salad and a burrito. The only thing I ate was the chips. The meat in the taco salad and burrito tasted funny. Ended up throwing them away. Too bad. Really wanted to have a Naugles clse by

My first visit was soon after opening on a Sunday. And loved it. Went back again tonight (5 nights later) , ordered the same thing , yet quality is greatly diminished. The chips are noticeably thinner and my taco salad had little to no white sauce and like 3 tiny diced tomatoes. I hope they get their quality control in check bc I want to love this place, but am now very wary of giving it another go.

Great tasting food, with quality fresh ingredients. Staff are very friendly. Great value. A blast from the past that my wife and I enjoy going to.

So far everything they have is real great, need to try a few more items before I can decide if they're really that good or not

Got a #13 hold the white sauce because i don't know where buttermilk belongs on a burger. The burger patty needed more seasoning. The fries which though appeared to be cooked crisp were a bit underdone. The grease is up way to high for the fries. They could have given up more fries since they are pre cut and frozen. Service took forever. I won't be pulling back through this lot.

The food is pretty decent better than del taco which I love. Def gotta try it out! Everything is cooked fresh.

Okay I love Naugles I would drive to the beach Blvd. store at least twice a month and my family as well. We were here at 10.30 am and all of our tacos burritos ground beef were horrible it was all cold. If I were you and you care have someone out the meat on first and don't re-frie French fries it shows you saved them from last night I'm very disappointed I will try it again and see if it gets better ... cook the food !!!!

Its been years and they are finally back! Naugles food is like restaurant quality at fast food price and quickness. Just compare for yourself a ground beef taco from here and Del Taco or Taco Bell. There is no comparison and the taste is amazing, best fast food ever! Thanks guys!

Excellent food with great prices! Since the opening of the new one in Cerritos we have been there at least 5 times. Love it!

Fries were good but my bean and cheese burrito was $4 and only had cheese and red sauce in it. The wait in the drive through was also 10 minutes long and we were the only car there. The fries were decent though.

Stopped by here randomly for a quick bite. Went through the drive thru, the service was great. Got 2 tacos and a chilli cheese fries. I enjoyed the meal.

Growing up eating at Naugles I was very excited to see one open in Artesia! The resturant was very clean and the staff was very friendly as well. The food was excellent, just like I remembered.

I absolutely love this place... They offer simple and delicious tacos with chicken, Carne, Sada, and ground beef. They are always extremely polite and they have never made a mistake on my order and I'm the type of person that always changes how the original item is made. I love going to this place and they have a lifelong customer in me. If it's your first time I suggest you try the club burrito with beans, onions, extra tomatoes, and extra chicken. Their sauces are also delicious.

Paid $14 for a regular cheeseburger combo which was the size of child's meal. Was crap quality, two of the 5 soda choices were not available in the self serve, no shakes available. A far cry from what the real Naugles is known for. Very disappointing

They're new. I get it .. things take time to get the hang of. But even as a new employee you can have SOME personality. I felt like I was talking to A robot. This isn't cheap "fast food" either. I have had Naugles a while back when it was at HB. I was high af but I remember it being better lol. Wed is my day for going out for lunch w my coworkers. I guess we should've stuck with our original plan Tommy's.
