Live music, typical food and some well received surprises. They are celiac friendly, just be sure to communicate it well. We had sushi, tuna tartare and more fish plates. All of them where fresh, tasty and came in a generous amount. The price was high, but it corresponded to the quality of the servings. The only slight problem was slow serving. We where advised that orders took at least 45 minutes and we where ok with that. In the end we waiting 1 hour and a half, but it was worth it.

I had a terrible experience at Nautilus Restaurant. The service was slow, and no one acknowledged us for a long time. We waited over an hour for our food, and when it arrived, it was cold and bland. The fish in the carpaccio and tartare wasn’t fresh. The food wasn’t worth the wait, and the service was awful. I won’t be coming back.

I have been in this restaurant for the new years eve dinner. The atmosphere was authentic with a nice live music. We were welcomed by Luca, one of the owner, who suggest us local wine and some dishes that worth to try. For sure it was one of the best dinner we had in Cape Verde both for food quality (delicious katzupa) and location. Also the price was absolutely fair. Hope to come back in the future.

Kindly place where you came find local dishes. The staff is very close with the clients and they can offer you a great variety of products. Personally, I recommend “Cachupa”. You will enjoy a good environment with music and people surrounding you. The only bad thing about the place is that is fully of tourists.

Unfortunately the beautiful images of food advertised on the outside don't match the limited and disappointing menu. I had a plain over-priced salad and my boyfriend's food never arrived. We waited patiently and then enquired. We were told by the extremely unhelpful waiter that it wasn't on his docket therefore we must not have ordered it. No apology, no accountability, so we paid , he dumped our change on the table and walked off. Seems to be a tourist trap, charging whatever they want for comparatively low quality. We've eaten at some wonderful places here on the island at all price ranges and this place was by far the most disappointing.

Wonderful place here today. Great weather, the food was great and the beer was cold. Unfortunately, back to the ship. But I'm very glad we stopped here!

Average restaurant with prices on the upper side,p. Tried cachupa rica here as it is difficult to find in any other western/tourist-kind establishments, but had to wait for almost an hour - better to order prato do dia, which I actually agreed on with waitress, but she didn’t understand me in the end.

A restaurant that enjoys an apriori chic image but that rather felt like a well-established trap for tourists. a) Staff forgot/did not note the reservation we made on the phone the previous day -> no appologies and staff felt unconcerned. b) Waiting time: at least 1h to be served half of the dishes we ordered -> we had to ask for the rest of them which eventually arrived 30 min later, so our group did not eat together c) Food was supposed to be a bit fancy but really tasted like what my little 12 year old cousin cooks -> meat and octopus were cantine level and the sushis were the worst I tasted in a long while d) Music was too loud we could not talk at our table Conclusion: don‘t go there, LOTS of better options in Mindelo that will protect your taste buds and save you money. NB: one of the waitress was nice and did a good job despite every other things.
