"Navy Beach has one of the best setups of any restaurant in all of the Hamptons, let alone Montauk. It’s situated in a little hidden alcove of Bayside Beach off the backroads and over the train tracks. In other words, you have to know where you’re going to find it. "For a beach destination, there are very few places to actually eat on a beach in the Hamptons and Montauk. You can at Navy Beach. It’s admittedly a small, rocky beach, but it’s a beach nonetheless. Come for drinks at sunset, and get a table outside if you can. If you can’t or the weather’s iffy, the inside is perfectly nice too. They do family-style menus starting at $60 per person for lunch and dinner, with shareable crowd-pleasers including crispy calamari salad, spicy honey fried chicken, and salmon teriyaki. I absolutely loved this place. the food is so fresh and delicious. We got the calamari mexican corn, and garlic parmesan fries as our appetizers and ordered a lobster roll and grilled fish tacos as our mains. The calamari was sitting in a sweet chili sauce that I really liked. It was crispy and not too chewy. You can get a table right by the water if it's not too windy! The view is stunning. 10/10 for me-no notes.

Navy Beach is a fantastic place to dine right on the water. The views are stunning, especially when the sun sets, turning everything into a beautiful backdrop for your meal. The food is excellent —fresh, well-prepared, and beautifully plated. I had the scallops and my 11 year old son had the fried chicken and edamame. He raved about both. The service is friendly and attentive, making the whole experience even better. What a gem of a spot! Can’t wait to return!

From the moment you arrive, the experience is top-notch. The valet team was incredibly nice and helpful, ensuring a smooth and welcoming start to our visit. This level of service continues inside, where the staff is attentive, friendly, and professional. The food was absolutely delicious, cooked to perfection with fresh, vibrant flavors. Highly recommended for anyone seeking great food in a beautiful setting. It was an experience hard to beat. P.S the best sunset view!!!!!

Google
Great local restaurant food was actually really good better than I had expected. If you come with a big group, try and get a table with some couches when we went it was pretty low-key not a huge crowd, but this place is known to get very busy. We had the Mexican corn, tuna tartare, mac & cheese and calamari. Calamari was very light, delicate and delicious and the tuna was fresh. The drinks were good all around. No complaints solid spot. Great location.

Had a great experience at Navy Beach! The outdoor seating area sits literally directly on the beach and is beautiful and delicious. The wait staff was incredibly friendly and the whole evening was great. Recommend getting the halibut, which was just terrific! This is my second time here and I’ll definitely be back

Google
It was our first time in this restaurant. Unfortunately, there is a tendency for restaurants with a great location and view, for the food to be not so great. My husband ordered ribs and they were very dry and I ordered tuna bowl and had to return. There were no spices, no sauce at all and tuna was not the freshest. Also, it was the first time in my life that I did not enjoy my gin and tonic drink.. so bland and tasteless.. will not be back .. although the view is amazing.. 😔

We had the amazing pleasure of photographing a wedding at Navy Beach a few years ago! It is the absolute perfect venue for a celebration. It’s tucked away just outside of town, and really feels like you stumbled upon an incredibly special, well kept secret that should be known to locals only. The decor is nautical, but classy with so much good taste. The staff was all super nice, too (: It’s the ideal setting for a good time. Their ceremony took place right outside the restaurant on the beach with waterfront views. Shortly after, we caught such an beautiful sunset. While their guests enjoyed a relaxed cocktail hour, the couple gave us a few moments to create some memories against a backdrop of the setting sun and gentle waves.

Google
Navy Beach is the perfect venue for a micro wedding! I had the honor of capturing an October wedding there this past year and it was perfect. From bridal portraits during sunset at the beach, to the fun reception and dance floor by the bar, it was exactly what my couple envisioned for their big day! Highly recommend it there. @lorettarodriguezco

Yelp
We wound up here by default. Could not get a table at the other 3 spots we tried for within 2.5 hours and called here and they could seat our party of 6. In looking at the menu I noticed the prices first. Let's get the obvious out of the way first. the place is not cheap. In looking at the prices I said to myself damn, this place better be good. A $98 dollar steak? $20 dollars a cocktail? Ok. We're in Montauk. Higher prices are to be expected. I have been coming to Montauk & Amagansett for years and I have to be honest. I always found most of the restaurants we have visited as underwhelming and over-priced. I was expecting more of the same here and man, we could not have been more wrong. We ordered the Edamame, Ribs and Calamari. As soon as I tasted each, I had a feeling we were in for something special. Then it only got better. I ordered the scallops, the rest of the table ordered the swordfish, salmon and the steak. My scallops can only be described as perfect. My only wish is that there were more of them. The garnishes? Delicious. Trying the steak only made me angry I didn't order it myself. It was f--cking delicious. 6 dinners. 6 clean plates and that is not an exaggeration. There was nothing left on anyone's plate but some food/sauce residue. The food was, in a word? Spectacular and the best I have ever had in the Montauk area. We are foodies. We got amazing food, well worth the high prices. Seeing all the negative reviews here I can't understand what the people writing them experienced because that is NOT what we experienced. This place, as long as it keeps up the standards we had? We will be back every time we visit the area. Well done!

Yelp
We walked over from our condo during the day to check out Navy Beach since we would be dining there that evening. The doors to the beach were wide open and we walked in. The staff was setting up the bar and we asked you see a menu. A man barked- "how did you get in here-WE ARE CLOSED" He was extremely rude and condescending. We left immediately. Had there not been 6 other members in our party we would have cancelled at that point. When we returned to have a nice dinner, it took forever to be served. We had several starters including the tuna poke. The fish tasted fouI-it was spoiled. The watermelon margarita was watery and flavorless. The bourbon special cocktail was even worse. I ordered the scallop entree-it arrived cold and the scallops were completely raw. It was inedible. The swordfish was overcooked and flavorless. I wouldn't send my worst enemy to dine at Navy Beach. What a terrible disappointment.

Samantha U.

Yelp
I was able to grab a table inside which I am honestly happy about since it started to become a little windy toward the end of the night. The service fell extremely short and was only checked on once. It took forever for everything! Even our food came out lukewarm. The highlight of my meal though was definitely the ribeye, cooked and seasoned to perfection. The view from my window looking outside showed very little service and many tables without light. The sunset was beautiful to see though. When trying to pay for our meal it took forever to get our servers attention and from there it never came so we went up and paid for it at the register- which I have never done before. I do agree with the other reviewers who mention that we come and pay for an experience because we want to, not because we have to. I will always keep that in mind now and express this is not a place I find myself coming back to nor splurging again.

Angela B.

Yelp
Off the beaten path for sure...and was confused about where the GPS was guiding us. Only have valet parking (no charge, just tip) and we go there before the dinner rush right in time for the sunset. All seating except the bar is via the host stand. Got a couple of seats at the bar and would have loved to be outside however limited seating there. Our bartender was friendly and helped with information about the location. Was intrigued by the SXM on their shirts (St. Marteen) and they used to have a location there, but it was no longer there. We didn't try the food, so not sure on that, but drinks were good.

Holly K.

Yelp
My friends and I had a nice dinner here for her bachelorette party! Unfortunately it was a rainy day so we had to move our reservation indoors. The inside isn't much to rave about, I can see how this spot shines with their outdoor seating. Our server was super friendly and great at handling a large group. He really seemed like he cared. The menu had a solid variety of food and interesting options. I ended up going with one of their fish dishes (when in Rome) and while it was cooked well it was super underseasoned. That was kind of the vibe we got from most of the folks at the table. I would still come back here though to enjoy their outdoor seating and ocean view!

Maria A.

Yelp
Fun place and great location but wasn't thrilled about the service and it felt a little stuck up. I'm from California and travel a lot, so accustomed to good food and service. I don't know if this is normal for the area but for the prices we all pay, it should be great attitude, great service and great food.

Caryn R.

Yelp
dinner with sunset on the beach is gorgeous! Food is tasty. service is very challenging. we were served in shifts and there were many errors. The food alone is not worth the price. But where do you go in Montauk? Still on my list....

Maria B.

Yelp
Navy Beach never disappoints! Perfect spot for dinner and a gorgeous sunset. Service was great and food was delish. Highly recommend the shishitos, calamari and parm fries to share. The buttermilk chicken is out of this world... always a must.

Alla L.

Yelp
Had some mixed experiences at this establishment. I think off season it's a great place, but unfortunately it gets very crowded during peak summer and the service and quality dips. It's still worth a visit, but maybe try it on a weekday

Cameron S.

Yelp
I highly recommended coming here, this fish was the best bite I've had in Montauk. The start of the night was a little bit shaky when they told us a party of 2 had a 45 minute wait on our 6:45pm reservation for outdoor seating.. But the manger was extremely accommodating and made the night memorable. Beautiful sunset view and the soy glazed halibut with red curry coconut sauce was extremely good.

Marie D.

Yelp
The whole experience was terrible. We had an indoor seating but ended up outside. I don't care until we ate our main course in the dark. The reason we ate our main course in the dark because we waited 1 hour between courses and probably only received our Cold food is because I went and found our waiter twice whom never came to check on us once. What a complete disappointment and would not return. Navy beach should worry less about making the scene and worry more about customer satisfaction. I would give them a F- for that.

Maria K.

Yelp
Came here for my birthday. We've had great dinners here before. My server Lea was miserable and sadly the food was subpar. She didn't even ask if we wanted dessert, just left us the check. Sorry but this was the worst dining experience.

Brian B.

Yelp
Food was amazing, come to mtk every year and never knew of this place. Burger was phenomenal, fresh beef. Ribs were succulent, fall off the bone delish. Tuna tartare was awesome, and halibut was recommended by the bartender, amazing.

S S.

Yelp
Love Navy Beach! I've been coming pretty much every summer since it opened. The Sunsets are perfect, the drinks are great and the food is consistently very good. Great place to be on a beautiful evening

Julie S.

Yelp
Food 10/10, service 20/10, ambiance 100/10 - this place is seriously amazing. Hesitant at first because of the low rating, but upon reading the reviews I realized people were just complaining to complain. Don't let those yelpers fool you, this place is amazing and beautiful. Not pictured, my partner and I shared the grilled avocado and shrimp appetizer and the charred octopus appetizer and both were phenomenal

Gina R.

Yelp
Back again and things were as wonderful as usual. The staff is so friendly, parking is efficient, view is unbeatable, and the food is amazing. I usually stick with my favorites, but today I ventured out and tried the tacos and Mac & cheese. Wow!!! I usually don't like truffle oil, but this had just the right amount of it. If you haven't been, go! And if you have been, go back and try something new. Don't forget to catch a sunset - best in Montauk. You won't regret it!

David L.

Yelp
Best sunset in MTK. Halibut was fantastic. Delicious sauce and sticky rice. Burger was very satisfying. Scallop special on point. Great chowder. Priced right for Summer at the end.

Jennie N.

Yelp
Food is mediocre. Service is not great but the people's attitudes that work there are terrible. Sunset is beautiful!

Erica S.

Yelp
My sister found Navy Beach in a Google search while visiting Montauk, and it was amazing. It's tucked away past some railroad tracks - somewhat hidden. We chose indoor seating since it looked like rain. Service and food were excellent - I ordered the salmon along with a clam + corn chowder. My sister ordered the edamame, which had a rich flavor, and the Buddha bowl. Dessert was a decadent key lime pie with a flaky crust. Highly recommend!

Ann A.

Yelp
Food was very over priced which I wouldn't mind if it tasted good. I had the halibut which was dried out it came with a tasteless rice and extremely spicy sauce. The swordfish was so bad we sent it back and the scallops were good except there were only four scallops and a half a cup of couscous. Not enough for a adult man for dinner. Extremely disappointing.

Tom D.

Yelp
Disgusting establishment, came on Saturday Memorial Day weekend with 4 families each with 2 kids at 4pm for an early dinner. Place was empty, they told us they couldn't seat us until 5pm because kitchen was closed. We proceeded to buy a bottle of rose and cocktails. When 5pm came they turned us away said they couldn't seat us because "it may get busy later". The management here is scum, that isn't how you treat 16 people on a holiday weekend. There is a reason this place has trash reviews. DO NOT GO HERE

Sandra S.

Yelp
So fyi if you make a reservation I think it's only for the dining room. Not outdoors. And they take a cc and charge you $35 pp if you cancel after 24 hrs I can understand the low ratings based on food I recommend coming for a drink and to see the sunset - it is a great view - and pass on lunch or dinner - can just walk in for this - no reservation needed The inside isn't as clean as it could be and had an odd smell The food was just not good The small plates are not that small so don't be fooled and order them and entrees if you aren't sharing I got the calamari salad and it barely had any greens and the fried calamari was tough and covered in a sweet Thai chili sauce as a dressing. And too much of it. The greens were wilted We got Mac and cheese and it was bad. Dry and bland and so tiny We also got a Buddha bowl type thing that was big and looked pretty and a nice healthy option but the bowl was so small and packed you couldn't eat wo food falling out all over the table and couldn't mix in the dressing which was sadly also bland All these years people told me to go to navy beach and we were so disappointed to spend so much on dinner and have the quality be so bad

James V.

Yelp
If you go in make sure you get Bishop behind the bar! Guy is a class act! Takes care of everyone!

Nicole M.

Yelp
Shrimp ceviche is not ceviche, it's cocktail shrimp in soy sauce. The lobster hand rolls are a little weird. Cute location though!

Roxana M.

Yelp
Pulled up with the husband and kids and was super excited. The vibe was laid back, chill, beach bar. Tables on the sand or inside restaurant, we opted for on the sand. Corn hole, beautiful views of the water and sunset, we arrived about 5:45. Waiter was kind and semi attentive. The hiccups started when they bought on someone else's drinks, then someone else's bread. It got much worse after an hour wait for our food and the table next to us that came 20-30 AFTER us got our meal! The waiter did notice and did not even acknowledge the mix up or offer us a free drink or anything else. I would have taken a simple apology, but none came. Really ruined the entire experience for us, as we were starving. Food was luke warm when it arrived and not as good as expected. Stick with the appetizers.

Steven P.

Yelp
*Arrival as a walk in, no reservation. *Hostess predicted 20-30 minute wait *The hostess was absolutely lovely *Approached bar, bartender was pissed at the world, each approach I made got worse, this women hated being at work. *Sat outside with cocktails with the best sunset. Met lovely people. *Cocktails with Tip, $25 each in a plastic solo cup served with an attitude. *Returned to host stand 65 minutes into our wait to check in, we did not pressure nor did we care about the wait. Mgr was at the host stand, never once made eye contact nor acknowledgement of my presence. She also looked really pissed to be at work. * Hostess arrived and could not be sweeter. She apologized beyond. *90 minutes passes overall and we got seated. It felt like they were doing us a favor. Sat at a picnic table with no lighting. At this point it's dark out. *Food arrives as ordered. Presentation SLOPPY, FLAVORLESS, the runner bringing the food was pissed at the world as well. *The best part of our visit to Navy beach was Frozen Tatter Tots, drinks and the sunset. As a consumer, we venture out to these high end - high energy - great vibe restaurants not because we have to, because we want to. We could stay home and eat takeout or cook. The prices charged include decor, atmosphere, entertainment, the empowerment of belonging, a great feeling to want to spend more money, the magic of being on vacation with that particular hospitality group. This place does not deliver. The two most important people on staff failed, the female Bartender & the female manager with long braided hair. They should have stayed home. It was obvious the entire staff was overwhelmed: empty tables, dirty tables, dirty bathrooms, customers pissed, etc etc etc. The owners of this establishment should pray the outdoor dining permit never expires, without it they have absolutely nothing to offer.

Robert F.

Yelp
My wife ordered a white wine spritzer before dinner , she ordered a second at dinner. When we got the bill , I asked what this $48 was for , the waitress said the white wine spritzers. I said $24 for a white wine spritzer, she said that's what they do. I went to the bar and the bartender said she ordered Sancerre wine , the most expensive wine in the place. I said my wife didn't mention a brand name. So the manager came over & said we will take one off the bill. This is a scam the Navy Beach is running, & the waitress is in on it . Check your bill and question everything before paying at the Navy Beach, they are a ripoff. Will never go back. Also on the way out the bartender make a wise crack. See you next week.

Julie M.

Yelp
Hostess told us there were no tables and sat us at a rail. The dining room was empty as well as 2/3 of the outside seating when we got there and when we left. He looked at us like we had three heads. Our waiter was great to us but very very rude to another family at another table. Rude and loud enough for everyone around him to hear. Food was delicious and fresh and the view was spectacular but customer service needs severe improvement.

Ron G.

Yelp
Horrible Food.. Horrible Service. We were 8 people. 6 out of 8 didn't eat their food. Loud. Worst experience in Montauk. Great Sunset. Just don't patronize. It should be noted we eat out every night we are on vacation. Off night is one thing. This was a complete waste of money and a night out.

Alyssa C.

Yelp
I am so disappointed with how Franklin Ferguson reacted when we were trying to bring a group here for dinner in a couple weeks. We emailed asking about a group going to dinner but since we were nervous we decided to book separate reservations and ask if sitting near each other or together would be a possibility. He told us we could do a family style reservation but with food allergies this was not an option for us. We told him we would like to keep our separate reservations and we understand we won't be able to sit together. His response was a rude email lecturing us about making reservations and then he went into Resy to CANCEL our reservations without informing us he was going to do so. We received emails from Resy informing them that Frank canceled our reservations. And he is now ignoring us. We were really looking forward to coming here but Frank ruined that for us.

James B.

Yelp
Went there on a weekday. First time there. Service was good and friendly. Drinks were good. Amazing view and sunset. What was amazing though was the Tuna steak special. I love tuna and order it when places have it on special. Navy Beach made the absolute best one I have ever had. Additionally, for how the place appeared, I was expecting small portions. I was pleasantly surprised, nice sized portions on apps and entrees.

Haley R.

Yelp
The view and outdoor area is gorgeous, and the reason you're coming. They have picnic tables, couches and a thin bar type seating outside, and normal indoor seating. Try for outdoor if you can! You can walk on the private beach abs watch the gorgeous sunset. Food was yummy! Usually don't expect much from a place focused on location, but was pleasantly surprised. Drinks were good, (if you're outside there in plastic cups FYI) apps were good, and everyone enjoyed their entrees. Have options for probably everyone.

Jordan W.

Yelp
Came here for lunch last weekend and it was my first time back here in years. I had an amazing experience. First, the food was incredible, I had the halibut and started with the grilled avocado. Both were delicious. The views and ambiance and service are all incredible too. Probably my favorite place I ate this weekend

James G.

Yelp
A jewel in June 26 2023! Service menu ambience was perfect. Just what you needed. Just what we wanted!

Nicholas G.

Yelp
One of the best views you will see especially if you get here around 6pm in middle of September. The key is to come about 45 minutes before sunset so you can see the whole thing. We sat on a day bed facing the water. This isn't your traditional restaurant setup but we liked it. The food was surprisingly good. I thought this place would be all view and no substance but I was wrong. The tuna crudo was very light/fresh and spot on. The yinnan ribs were also good. The kale caesar salad was probably my favorite light dish. The mexican corn was also on point and it comes on the cob which adds to the flavor. I will say the grilled avocado wasnt good so I would skip that. The drinks were also pretty good and I don't remember prices being unreasonable for what we got. Look... you aren't coming here because it has a Michelin star but the food won't disappoint. Come for the view because it is spectacular. Enjoy!

Adrienne J.

Yelp
We had a great experience at Navy Beach. I was honestly nervous based on the other Yelp reviews I had read but we decided to give it a shot and are glad we did. We had a group of 6 for lunch on a Friday and we sat outside and shared a bunch of food (listed below). It was delicious! What we ordered for food: -tuna crudo -lobster roll -shishito peppers -mussels -little gem caeser -parm fries We personally had a good experience with service; the waiters were attentive with water, drinks, and food. We also asked to move over to the couch area (pictured) after our lunch which we were able to do to continue lounging and enjoying our time there. Yes it's a bit pricey, but I have come to expect that dining out in Montauk is going to be pricey.

Laurel F.

Yelp
I highly recommend Navy Beach to anyone visiting Montauk. This restaurant is not on the main strip, but on the bayside of Montauk. It's very scenic, so I definitely recommend for a sunset dinner. There is nice outdoor seating on a manmade beach or you can choose to sit inside the rustic restaurant. Definitely call ahead and make a reservation beforehand. The food is delicious - My entree recommendation is the soy-glazed halibut. It's super plump & moist, served over soft sushi rice with a creamy red coconut curry sauce - YUM! All of their starters are also yummy - Some favorites of mine are the grilled avocado, salmon tartare and p.e.i mussels.

Brad H.

Yelp
I hadn't eat here in quite some time and avoided it other than for drinks. I was under the impression it was overpriced and mediocre. I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised with the food. The truffle pasta and the halibut were great. The real standouts were the mussels and the key lime pie. Both were some of the best I've ever had. And of course you can't deny the ambiance and view, which were thoroughly enjoyed. Again I think I should mention that the key lime pie was amazing.

Eileen K.

Yelp
I was stuck between 3 and 4 stars for this place but I'll base it off my experience and then add what my friends from my table went through. We had a table for 10 and according to the hostess, apparently my friend told them over the phone that inside is ok. The whole point of coming here was to sit outside. So the experience with the hostess in the beginning wasn't that pleasant. The waitress on the other hand was great. We ordered 2 pitchers in the beginning, and a few cocktails, but the sangria was totally watered down and the mule was pretty bad too. The waitress understood and took them back and we continued with the tequila cocktail, which was amazing. For appetizers we got 2x crab cake (amazing), kale salad (very good), 2x ceviche (I don't understand why the excessive amount of popcorn on top but shrimp was good), 2x salmon tartars (decent - nothing special at all), and 2x mussels (pretty good if you like sausages), and 3 tuna crudos because 2 just went through so fast and it was great. For the entrees we ordered the 2x ribeyes (medium rare and it was perrrrfect), scallops (very good), salmon (didn't try but my friend didn't like it at all), and tilefish curry (very good). We ordered 2 of every side on the menu. The Mac n cheese was great. The Brussels sprouts were my FAVE. Cauliflower and fries were good too. Now... After we paid our bill, 2 of the girls actually wanted a shot so they went to the bar to get shots. The bartenders were extremely rude, denied them a shot, yet they ended up doing a shot together in the back of the bar, and then told one of the girls from my groups that she needs to leave. Overall reThis place honestly has beautiful sunsets. The food is 50/50 depending on what you order. Half the staff is terrible.

Kevin R.

Yelp
Food was decent. Small menu. For a seafood place, should be a little more entrees to choose from. Interior needs to be spruced up. Tables seemed grimy. Music was nice, but needed to be lowered in dining room. Saw a couple sit, then complain about the volume and leave. They then turned down the music and it was perfect. The waiter was a nice guy, but never asked us if we wanted a 2nd round of drinks. He disappeared and the inside wasn't that busy. But the chefs did turn out some decently cooked food!

Eddie G.

Yelp
If you want to be totally ripped off. Go to this restaurant. You will have to get a mortgage to have less than average quality food.

Pete F.

Yelp
Terrible experience thanks to the manager's atrocious behavior. We had a reservation for 12 people, plus a baby, during a sunny Tuesday afternoon. They had a long table set for us, but only one sun umbrella over three connecting tables . We kindly asked whether they could install another umbrella for us, as half of us were directly under the sun. There were plenty of umbrellas in empty tables around us. The manager came out and, in an extremely rude and condescending way, told us that they don't move umbrellas to other tables. In an exchange with him, he used the following phrases: " we just don't do that for our customers- it's our policy" " you are in a restaurant on the beach! It's fine if you have have sun in your eyes" " if you don't want to be in the sun you can simply go inside" " it is my job to set the table for you, not to set the right amount of umbrellas for you" Oh, and when one of the members of our party said "excuse me sir, but..." he rudely interrupted in a condescending way and said " yes MA'AM!?" Thankfully, a very friendly waiter named Pierre saw what was happening and offered to help us. He took the initiative and together with the help of another waiter, and the reluctant manager, helped us install a second umbrella. The installation took only 5 min. It is unacceptable to book a reservation for 12 people with half of your party left to sit in the direct sun and then be that rude to your customers and refuse to accommodate them. The fact is that the manager is a rude, lazy, thin skinned, Irritable person demonstrates that he should not be in the hospitality business. I am giving it two stars instead of one only due to the awesome waiter Pierre who helped us out and saved the day. I hope Pierre takes over the restaurant one day, the food was decent and the view is great, so it has potential.

Yelp
horrible with accommodations . had 5 separate reservations all different families. when emailed if they accommodate large parties i was referred to their family style menus. This menu was outrageously priced as well as limited to one or two options. The five families and i opted to not do this option and stick with our own separate reservations. when I told franklin to forget the group booking he then proceded to be rude in the email and say I couldn't book seperate reservations at all. when asked if he could give me a call he ignored that and instead cancelled a few of our reservations. We were well aware we would not be sitting together or even have the same time that was not the issue! the issue was their limited family style menus and Franklin being incompetent on how to make a phone call. avoid at all costs . plus they have horrible yelp reviews overall so glad we ended up booking elswear.

Yelp
I have wanted to eat here for the past 5 years and I finally went with my friend. We were in the Hamptons for the day and were really excited to eat on the water here. Unfortunately the weather was overcast and foggy, not providing the same beautiful beach scenery that we craved. This was obviously not the restaurant's fault. We called Navy Beach the morning of the day that we wanted to have dinner there. We were told that they do not take reservation the day of, but since we were a party of two, we would most likely be able to get a table. The person on the phone was very nice and even told us around the time to come where we would most likely get seated. Upon driving up the restaurant, we were greeted my a friendly man who basically told us that we could go in for drinks, but he was told that we would not get a table. We decided to take the chance anyway. We had the car valet parked and then walked into the restaurant. The two hostesses greeted us with a smile and were very nice. They asked us if we wanted a table inside or out. We said inside since the weather was so bad. The atmosphere was fun, I loved the decor, such as the framed bathing suits. The outside area looked like it would be ideal for a nice day. All was going well until our server, Bryce came. She asked our order and was rushing us the entire time. Keep in mind that the place was not packed the entire time. To our surprise, our food came out in five minutes. Not complaining that it was so quick, just was very odd. It came out even before our drinks and added to the rushed feeling that we had. I ordered the salmon. It was very good, but oddly plated in a soupy broth, Asian style with nothing on the side. I do not think it was worth the $32 I paid, but it was good. My friend ordered salmon tar tar and fries. The salmon tar tar was delicious, but the fries were cold and hard. Beverage menu had a lot of options which was a plus. My friend got a glass of wine that she enjoyed. We were disappointed in the rude and rushed service that Bryce offered us. She never asked how our food was or if we needed anything. She never asked if we wanted anything else to drink, and she immediately took away our plates the second we swallowed our last bite. She delivered the check when my friend was half way done with her wine and tried to take away her fries that I am not sure how she ate, but was not yet finished with. When the check came, there was a $1 charge to an NSF donation. We were confused as the waitresses never explained that this charge would appear. When we asked, she said it was a foundation to save seals. We were ok with that charge, just not ok that were volunteered for it without being asked. While my friend was finishing her wine, Bryce came by again and took our bill. We were not even finished with her tip. When we told her we were not yet done, she said, "Oh, well did you sign?" After that, I said "Ok, take it!" She then open it up in front of us when she took the bill. She didn't say have a good night or I hope you enjoyed your food. The service she provided was shocking to us. I have never in my life had such a rude waitress. This ruined our entire experience at Navy Beach and will leave a bad taste in my mouth for a while. We went up to the hostess as the front and explained the horrible service that our waitress had given us. They were super apologetic and said that she would be spoken to. I would come give this restaurant another chance maybe next summer. I don't think I want to go back this year and remember the horrible service that Bryce had given us. I would eat outside next time and maybe order the mussels. I would also hope for better service, especially for the price tag.

Yelp
This restaurant is beautiful. Probably the best spot in Montauk to catch a sunset but the prices of the mediocre food was absurd. $14 for a glass of wine that is served in a small plastic cup....like come on. The Truffle Mac and Cheese was probably the highlight. I also got a strip steak special that was $52. It was good but NOT worth $52. The staff was also strange and made us wait for our table when there was NO ONE else there. It was definitely a strange experience.

Yelp
Navy beach is the best place to watch the sunsets! Food is amazing! Everything is good. The Calamari and the ribs are my favorite! So good!

Yelp
Food and service were fine. Nothing great or bad. Not a ton of options out here, as you know, so good luck

Yelp
Terrible and expensive. Complete tourist trap. Food was very average. They rush you out to then serve the next person. Cannot recommend.

Yelp
Recommended to us as a great spot to go; food tastes like cafeteria food. Service is fine but menu subpar and very expensive. For a family of 4, plan to spend $300 on cafeteria food
