NAXIAN UTOPIA (Naxos, Greek Islands) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"According to its 16th-century literary origins, utopia is an imaginary place: peaceful, organized, architecturally uniform, and equally pleasurable for all. Naxian Utopia, a boutique hotel on the Greek island of Naxos, delivers on that promise — but with the distinct advantage of actually existing. It’s quiet and somewhat remote, located on a hill overlooking the salt lake of Agios Prokopios and within easy walking distance of the beach." - Tablet Hotels

Naxian Utopia Hotel | Best places to stay in Naxos

"If you are mobile and in need of a lavish base for your adventures, then the Naxian Utopia is a great choice. It lies on the main road, a short drive to the village and beach of Agios Prokopios. What you get however is Cycladic blinding-white chic, special coco-mat mattresses (the best in Greece), a private pool, a well-stocked kitchenette, parking, and, most importantly, peace and privacy, as the suites are so well appointed that you may spend a day there before you see another guest. We loved our stay in Naxos at the Utopia Suites and Villas! Everything was absolutely wonderful and perfect! We loved our villa with the private plunge pool! It was quiet, private and very spacious. Being able to relax in your own private pool was the highlight of our day! The room was spacious and had lots of great amenities such as robes, slippers, hair dryer, dishes, coffee, bottled water and toiletries. The service was exceptional and someone was always available to assist. Breakfast each morning was wonderful and there were so many wonderful fresh food selections. They do provide pick up transportation at no charge from the port or airport. They will also arrange transportation for you any time you need it. We did not rent a car so it was stress free for them to take care of calling us a taxi. The hotel is only about a 10-15 minute walk from Agios Prokopios beach which has some great restaurants. It is also right next to the bus station and you can easily take the bus for only €2.10. This was a wonderful stay and surpassed my expectations.

We had a large spa suite with a private pool with an upper covered deck, combination shower/sauna, tub, kitchen and living room. The suite was very comfortable. Staff was very helpful. Note that this hotel is 15 minutes outside of Naxos Old Town, so each time we needed to go into town we had to pay 20 Euros for a taxi each way. There was one great restaurant walking distance which allowed us to eat near the hotel for two nights.

I was looking at some of the older reviews and have to say, this one from Oct '23 was spot on for our visit last week (TA translation from French). We prob should have read if before we went:|"Very nice villa but nothing to store your clothes except hangers...you open your suitcase in the living room... Noisy atmosphere, you can hear the neighbors very (too) well... Inside, the fridge also makes noise, the cupboard is lit, even at night, the curtains are not sufficiently blackouts, the bed did not have a box spring, in short difficult nights, waking up very early.... the swimming pool is too cold to be used. And I forget the soap and the towel that we don't know where to put in the tiny bathroom. On the other hand, the breakfast and the lady who takes care of it are top notch!"||so, PROS: large space with private pool that will likely warm up nicely from the end of June but too cold to use during first week of June '25. Free wi-fi, free parking, pleasant staff, great breakfast. Shower with VERY hot water right away, just limited bathroom/shower space for toiletries. Ours was a 2-floor unit, which was nice for separate bedrooms. Large couch in LR but was used purely as a shelf for all our luggage since no drawers/very limited in-BR shelving so we didn't use the LR for group relaxation. There's a stove but didn't use it. ||CONS: 15 min walk on a death-defying road that thinks itself a highway to get to closest town with pretty average-at-best food choices (not the main town). We were encouraged to walk to town but I would not recommend it especially with kids. Windy, dark and local drivers are practicing for the Indy 500. Signage is poor - there's a sign on the road but when you go down the end of it, there are several buildings and no sign to say which to go to although the one that says Warning! Dog! with a pic of a Rottweiler is to be believed and, thankfully, not the right one. You'll see/hear them when you go for your car. Thankfully, they are behind a whole lot of fence bc they seem to come from the Damian movie, and I like dogs so that's saying a lot. Biggest negative is no shelves/drawers/dressers for a place that most will prb use for a longer stay (since it's got an oven).

We arrived in the port and hopped on the public bus (buy €2 per person in ticket office) and got off after 10 minutes at the Naxos Palace stop. The hotel is 3 minutes walk from there on a secluded hillock-top and we are in very nice double suite with private swimming pool, big bath, shower/steam room, etc.||Breakfast is a great spread of delicious things, mostly homemade, including cakes, quiches, pastries, etc as well as bacon & eggs, etc.||We walked into town for evening meals, 10 minutes walk to Agios Prok - although the first restaurant (looked very nice) is within 5 minutes walk. The little town has everything that you need, e.g. there is a supermarket, petrol station and plenty of shops.||If we were staying longer we would have hired a car for day trips around the island but did not need to do that for our 2-night stay

Stella and all the staff are beyond hospitable. The area is fabulous and away from the town allowing us to relax and take in the beauty of the island. The rooms are open and welcoming and we had a beautiful pool. The lady who makes the breakfast and dinners is a true Greek mama and everything was delicious.

The room was very spacious with beautiful decor. The pool was lovely, albeit a bit cold but that’s because we visited early in the season. Very large private sunbathing area and terrace looking out to mountains in the distance. |Staff were welcoming and very friendly, can’t recommend this hotel enough for a relaxing peaceful stay. Breakfast buffet had everything you’d need in a lovely cafe style restaurant. ||Location is about 15/20min walk to the beach - Agios prokopios beach is just beautiful and has lots of bars and restaurants along the front. |Our favourite taverna was called taverna perama , it is close to the villa only a 5min walk. Lovely family run restaurant with excellent service and food

The rooms here are very clean. We had a petite villa. It had one queen size and one king size bed. It also had a stove and oven and full size fridge. The room came with plates, silverware, and glassware. Our room had two full bathrooms. Also had a private pool and hot tub. The breakfast was very good and one of the best that we've had while staying in Greece. The front desk was very helpful whenever we had questions on pleases to eat. They also have a full spa.

Loved our stay at Naxian Utopia. Stellar and her team went above and beyond to ensure we had a great stay. The villa and having our own private pool was amazing, such a beautiful property. The breakfast was the best we had our entire trip in Europe. It's a short 10 minute walk into town and beach.
