NAYA

This was our first time at Naya- which is a fast-food type hygienic version of the roadside food truck Mediterranean food. We usually rely on the food truckers to add the ingredients, but here we had to select our ingredients and we were struggling a bit 😵‍💫. They have many options to add to the bowl! I like my food spicy, so the accidental addition of jalapeños enhanced the taste of the Falafel bowl we ordered. The falafels were freshly fried which made it crunchy and hot in contrast to the cold rice and vegetables in the bowl. This location in the city is small and you gotta be lucky to find a place to sit! Overall it wasn’t a terrible find!

I think they have a fantastic menu. Very healthy fast food I would qualify it because the time you spend there to be serve and eat makes it really comfortable and convenient if you are on the go. I love the quality of the food, I tried the falafel bowl, with the unlimited topics. The food was properly seasoned and tasty. I am moving on to be vegan so it's a relief to know new places like this where I can still eat without worrying about hidden surprises. Definitely I will be back and keep growing!

Die hard fan of NAYA.. absolutely delicious 😋 food. It’s a very cool Mediterranean food place .. it’s freshest ingredients and on a working day there is a line (moves fast) .. service is top Notch and the you have tons of top up to choose from.. I love cauliflower/Falafel, babgaboush, hummus the pickles , coleslaw and the Green goddess spicy sauce …If you haven’t gone to NAYA I highly recommend to give it a try

I went to Nala to try out the Middle Eastern Counter and Grill. I wanted to try out a Naya bowl. The cashier notified me that I can customize my bowl with meats and veggie toppings. I chose beef shawarma as the meat of choice and went creative for my Nala Bowl. For middle eastern dishes, never leave out the hummus. In addition to the hummus, I also added onions, lettuce, cabbage, mixed greens, and a feta cheese. I loved the taste and texture of the Nala Bowl the associate helped prepare for me. The meat was especially well-seasoned and the sauce added the perfect spice for the meal. The customer service was excellent, the place was comfortable and organized, and my order was processed smoothly in the quiet evening. Thank you Nala!

What is this portion size now???? There’s like barely any chicken, did meal pal pick up, don’t lower portions jsut cuz it’s pre pick up

This is a restaurant near the Central Park. The location is convenient and is close to the orange line MTA station. There is a Citibike station nearby too. There are several desks and it is clean and spacious. I ordered the veggie version and it is ok. There are a lot of variety and next time I would like to try the protein.

I want to love this Naya location but it’s becoming harder and harder every day. I eat here 3-5 times a week and every day they get cheaper and cheaper with their protein. It’s becoming laughable at this point for almost $15 to get a few little morsels of chicken. Other Nayas don’t seem to be like this. Very disappointing and upsetting. On the plus the staff are always smiling and friendly. But come on guys please be a bit more generous with your proteins for $15.

One of the few NAYA locations that is open for business over the weekend! I have been loving their healthy and hearty bowls that come with fresh ingredients and unlimited toppings. One of my to go delivery places! Their delivery service is normally fast and food is packaged very well and clean.

Ordered: Chicken Shish Taouk Bowl (~$13): Hummus, Fresh Cucumbers, Toum Garlic whip, Green & Red Cabbage, Baba Ghannouj, Cucumber & Yogurt, Tomatoes, Red Onion & Parsley Sumac Mix, Spicy Green Sauce, with vermicelli rice Aya's take: NAYA is a fast casual spot serving custom Lebanese bowls, rolls, and salads. Being Lebanese myself, it's great to see a place like this. This location gets super busy during the lunch rush so order ahead! The bowl was very filling and generally healthy. The chicken shish taouk flavors were spot on but was a bit dry which the other toppings and sauces made up for. This is one of the first times I've seen authentic Lebanese rice aka the vermicelli rice at a fast casual place like this. It was fluffy and had good flavor. For me personally, it was a good try but nothing stood out to me. If we're talking flavor, I think Cava is a bit better but you won't be disappointed at NAYA either!

Delicious experience would definitely go again. I had the chicken shawarma on 2 types of salad greens with about 6 toppings. The food was very fresh despite being late at night and the premises were clean.

Chipotle with Mediterranean food in New York City, but with only two indoor tables. Came here 3pm on a weekday and no line to get food. Pick your protein wrap or bowl: chicken shawarma, chicken shish Taouk, beef shawarma, Kafta lamb kebab, cauliflower, or falafel. I get the $12.40 chicken shawarma bowl with Feekah, a type of couscous. You can also get the bowl with white rice or lettuce. For toppings I get the yogurt/cucumber, chopped romaine, tomatoes, fresh cucumbers, red onion and parsley, green cabbage, Kalamata olives. I skip the following toppings: hummus, Toum garlic whip, Baba Ghannouj, feta cheese, Jalepeno peppers, pickled Lebanese cucumbers, pickled turnips, spicy green sauce, spicy red sauce, and lemon Tahini. They add pita bread in a plastic wrap afterwards. Food is served is immediately on the take out styro foam box, with a fair amount of delicious chicken. Only two indoor tables, one a communal 8 person table, and the other a 3 person table, occupied by a solitary male nursing a coke surfing the web on his phone next to the front door . The communal table has 3 people already on one end. One small two person outdoor table. Wife and I sit opposite each other sharing the one dish, when the 3 people leave, and soon are joined by 2 other strangers sitting down next to us. At least they don't have body odor. The lack of indoor seating is a severe disadvantage in rainy weather, especially with the record 11 inches of rain this last September. No dry place to sit outside without getting a wet bottom on your pants. There are other restaurants with comparable priced weekday luncheon specials with far more indoor seating. If you come here at lunch or dinner, don't expect a seat. Not a place for a hot date, as zero ambiance.

Friday staff and clean place. I tried the salad bowl to go but did not care about the chicken. The sauces are limited to two spice one and tahini. You would crave something more Mediterranean.

Move over Chipotle and Cava - if NAYA was available in Texas, they would have all of my money and attention. I am typically the type of person who would order from a street cart, but it was too cold outside. I saw this place on Yelp and decided to give it a try. The food was fresh and filling! I walked here after visiting the MoMA. The price point is great for the amount of food you get. Everyone who walked in was ordering their "regular" order. It seemed like they had a lot of people come in who stop there everyday to get something. I had analysis paralysis, but luckily a NAYA evangelist was educating everyone in line about what she usually gets, so I went ahead and just got that. It was a NAYA bowl with the chicken shawarma and I got a can of sparkling water. I don't know how else to write this - it was great. Not greasy, not dry, just delicious. The only con was the lack of seating inside. Come to TX please NAYA.

Another day, another NAYA visit! Was walking to see a client and saw NAYA so of course that became my lunch spot after my meeting. As always, the staff was super warm and easy to order from. Portions were great as I got half chicken and half steak with my bowl. Toppings galore per usual. Love me their pickles and onion. I could eat a whole bowl of it by itself.

Haven't had naya for many years. Thanks to meal pal I was able to experience it again. Came here for lunch take out of the chicken shawarma rice box. This was absolutely amazing. Probably even better than what I've had before (several years ago). The rice box was decent sized, wish they gave more rice to be honest and chicken. The chicken was tender and flavorful. The hummus and side salad was good and the pita bread was so soft and chewy. I made a little taco out of this meal using the pita bread and stuffing all the rice and chicken inside! It was Devine. Ordered a felafel and it was pretty decent, couldn't get a couple things of the menu though but service wasn't that bad. The atmosphere wasn't the best in the world but for the food they had, it made up for it.

Generous, fresh and filling options - can extend to 2 meals if you can exercise restraint. I usually can't. I like the salad w the roasted cauliflower - delicious vegetarian option when falafel is too much. The boy likes the chicken shawarma. Get allllll the toppings and dressings. I always do labneh and pita too - both are so fresh!

This place is a gem in the middle of Manhattan, it's very casual Lebanese food, basically a take-out with seating for maybe 12 people. It is a little bit in the style of Chipotle, but the food is a totally different level. It is only similar in the way that you choose a base (wrap or salad), a protein choice (I got Falafel) and unlimited toppings like hummus, cucumbers, babganoush, tabbouleh, etc. Overall, I thought this place was great and so reasonably priced compared to anything in the area, and a nice healthy fresh vegetarian choice. I'm not vegetarian, but I love vegetarian Lebanese food. I also ordered a "little tabboule" which was good but so heavy on the lemon juice that it was more bitter than I've ever tasted before. The service from the servers was great, but the cashier was on the phone and left a line of 3-4 waiting quite a bit longer than he should have....you could tell everyone in line to pay was getting annoyed as he was on his phone...they might have lost a few customers over that. A few people in line were about to just leave the food and walk out. However, I judge a place mainly on the food, and if it's casual I don't care about the service, it would be the same if it was a very busy night. I would highly recommend this place, well worth checking out for something quick and delicious.

I ordered this via Uber eats and was pleasantly surprised. The portion is massive, it can easily be 2 medium meals or 1 massive meal. There's a bunch of sauces that can be added that all taste phenomenal. The falafel got a little dry but that's probably because it was delivered and not eaten on the spot. I've never had frekkeh before but it tastes very good with the bowl which also comes with a little bit of salad. I absolutely loved the baba ganoush, the feta, and pickled radish. The baba ganoush also comes as a side with pita. 10/10 recommend

Amazing take out place Great Mediterranean take out ... always fresh and hot ... chipotle style add on options as you walk through but with Mediterranean Chicken shawarma / chicken sheekh / lamb and felafel are all great options and you can load up all the dressings .. Hummus , baba ganoosh, yogurt , peppers , jalapeno, custom coleslaw , onions etc While we come back to work 2-3 times a week, this has been a go to place along with colleagues

I have come to Naya for lunch 3 times a week for 1.5 years while I was working around Columbus Circle and I can say that this place does not disappoint. Naya is my favorite Mediterranean fast food restaurant. This is better than Cava in my opinion and the service here is always fast. Usually around lunch time, there is a line out the door, but it moves very quickly trust me. You are able to go in also to pick up the food which is great if you do not want to wait in line. My go to for lunch here is the "Naya Bowl." I get it with "Vermicelli Rice" "Romaine Lettuce" "Falafel" and 2 scoops of "Hummus." The "Falafel" is quite delicious and flavorful. They pack you with 5 big pieces which is always filling. However, there are days the "Falafel" is burnt. I really enjoy the "Hummus" as it is not very salty or loaded with oil. Highly enjoy Naya and recommend it as a healthy lunch option to anyone working around that area!

If you like CAVA or Sajj, then you'll like this place. Same concept, assembly-like style, fresh, and flavorful. They offer bowls, salads, and wraps. Great place to pick up a quick eat!

Mom and I shared a beef and lamb meatball kebab meal. Great food! Tender meat. Fresh salad. Delicious sauces--all of them! Pita bread. Terrific, fast service. Two ate for under $15 in NYC. Social distancing and very clean establishment. We will return!

My daughter and I came to Anaya after a show, we kind of just stumbled upon it. It was AMAZING! It was probably our favorite meal on our trip, and we actively sought out great food.

Naya is one of those fast casual spots that have popped up all over the city. Naya is definitely one of the better ones that is for sure. I went with the falafel and lucky for me they came right out the fryer. They were very good and seem to be one of the more popular things on the menu. They also have a few different choices for meat. The chicken looked really good. If you like shawrama they also have that type of meat. It is on the heavier side but still works with the other flavors they have going on. I passed the baklava while checking out and being greek I had to try it. It was unique in that it was not sweet at all. It wasn't bad but it is served cold so the flavor didn't pop. Store was packed even in covid which is good to see. The staff was getting people in and out quick. I would definitely come back!

Solid, affordable takeout option! I always get the salad bowls with chicken shawarma for lunch. The container is always filled to the brim with food and generous portions of meat and other toppings.

This is my go to spot for meditarannean food where you really get a bang for your buck. The food always leaves me satisfied and full. Their dessert especially the cigar shaped baklava is amazing.

I felt like having FALAFEL, so I came here. Fresh & great, in a whole wheat pita, with yummy FREE add ons, hummus, Baba Ghannouji, lettuce, chopped tomatoes, onions, pickled cucumbers....DE-LISH! Yum yum yum! This place is like a Mediterranean chipotle. You get a wrap or a bowl and fill it up on a bed of rice with toppings. I had the chicken shawarma bowl, the chicken was very tasty and the rice nice and fluffy. I had the pickled items as well as tomatoes and lettuce. The green sauce and hummus were really good too. I enjoyed every bite and had a side of pita bread. Highly recommend. Perfect comfort food while out and about in New York City.

During lunch time there is a long line and it's a huge deterrent for me until now. I went with a friend since talking to a friend makes the time goes faster. The line moves very quickly. The employees are efficient. Process: Choose base: Roll - pita, Bowl - rice or freeka, Salad - romaine or spring mix Choose protein: beef, chicken, lamb, cauliflower, falafel Choose toppings: 14 toppings...too many to list Question: do you want bread? Yes/No. Pay Simple as that. There are 2 rows of benches with tables. Enjoy.

As soon I stepped into NYC, tired, hungry, and in the mood for some fast casual food, I made a beeline to NAYA. The chicken shawarma rice bowl with the garlic whip is my go-to. There's something about the rice that is perfect in texture and taste. The chicken is good, as with most Middle Eastern restaurants, and the garlic whip is my favorite part of the meal. I will be asking for extra garlic whip the next time I go. The toppings are good on the other side of the bowl than the rice, chicken, and garlic whip so they don't overpower them. The sauce options aren't too spicy. Dining in or dining out, the food is tasty and convenient.

Better than Cava in my opinion - the cauliflower and chicken shawarma are unbeatable. It's so satisfying eating huge chunks of cauliflower instead of getting it in tiny bits (like you would get from Cava). The hummus and dip options are more flavorful as well and there's a generous variety of toppings as well. Knocked off one star because I feel like if I order a salad the serving of veggie base could be larger but this is a solid midtown lunch option any day. The baklava is also amazing, if you're looking to treat yourself to dessert.

I come here very often for lunch, it's right by where I work. But ever since this lady started working here, she is the first person that starts the order by getting you the rice bowl or etc, she always gives me very little protein, 3 bites of chicken today and 4 bites of rice. I'm not a big person, I'm petite, 5'1" and small frame but that does not mean I eat a tiny tiny bit. I always have to ask can you give a little more and she gives me an annoyed look. I don't what a lot but a good decent amount so I'm not hungry after finishing the meal. This lady seem very unhappy with her job and should not be working in the service industry especially serving food. No one wants to loose their appetite. Like the food but not that lady. Good riddance.

One of the best quick takeout options through seamless!! Got the cauliflower wrap and it's delicious!! Look at those colors - I'm totally ordering again. I also got the baba ganoush that came with a side of pita bread. They were both tasty and loved the fluffy little pita :)

NAYA is a regular option on our hospital's group Seamless order and it's the only option I need Their bowls are fresh, filling, and highly customizable with any fixing you could ever want. Portions are generous, it could last meal two meals if I wanted but I don't usually have that restraint. Get the chicken shawarma with all the toppings and dressing on the side! NAYA packages everything neatly so that it delivers really well If you're looking for a quick, healthy and filling lunch in the midtown west area, look no further

This is my go to lunch spot these days. The ingredients are fresh, the food is tasty and vegetarian options are always available. You can get a lunch for under $10 with the falafel option which is quite uncommon in midtown New York. I normally like to load it up with all of the sides it comes with as well as humus, garlic sauce, yogurt, and babaganoush. The staff is efficient and friendly.

I've been eating here forever, and it's just consistently good. I'm updating my review because there are a million places in Manhattan that claim to do Middle Eastern food, and few do it well. This is one that does it well.

This is my sisters fave Mediterranean spot but this was my first time trying it. Overall, I would go back if someone wanted to go. The workers were nice and told me what all the sides were when they realized I was a newbie. Their rice is unique and has a buttery flavor and the hummus is great. The distinctive turnip side was the star of the entire meal for me. Last but not least, the falafels were delicious with a super crispy outside. They are a bit on the spicier side, though, which I don't like. The location has a good amount of seating so you can definitely enjoy your meal there. The menu is not very informative with prices. It doesn't tell you what's vegan either, which I'm used to at MY fave Mediterranean spot*. The portion size is adequate for the price and you can always ask for double scoops of hummus if you're not getting any of the other spreads. You also get a free pita with the bowls. However, they seem to run out of real pita at some point each day because I got a whole wheat tortilla instead. *I love Maoz Vegetarian! They also go by Maoz Falafel and Grill.

I think this is a solid lunch spot if you are a fan if Mediterranean or middle eastern food. Got a bowl with pita bread + coke for $14.50. Decent price considering the portion and location. Pro - quick. Order and leave - tables to eat - variety of options (vegan options available) - coke zero! My fav soda that I can't find everywhere - clean interior - loved their green spicy sauce :) Con - okay.... nvm.... i got food poisoning literally 5 hrs after I ate this. I'm assuming its this as I only drank coke from this place after I had this as late lunch. I think I will step away from this place for a while

I'm a little bit obsessed. Looking for something different and affordable around Carnegie Hall, I gave NAYA a try, and have now had three dinners here just this week... What could possibly be better than John Eliot Gardiner and Orchestre Révolutionnaire et Romantique performing the complete Beethoven symphonies? Honestly, nothing, but starting off amazing evenings with the most delicious salads imaginable, that certainly brings a lot to the table.

I wanted to love but couldn't! Ordered delivery from their website early on a Friday. I was ready to try many dishes, but two of them didn't even make it into the bag. I called the store and they said they'd refund me. Beef schwarma- it's just okay. There's something weird about their pickles (why so soft?) and there is very little sauce. Even the extra $0.50 I paid for garlic whip and $0.50 for extra tahini, the containers had almost nothing in them. Chicken shish tawook sandwich- the chicken was the best part of my order- I expected it to be dry but it was decently moist. Baba ghanoush was just okay. It came with a small piece of bread. For any sandwich be sure to think "quick lunch spot" in your expectations since there's not much protein. If you want a meaty meat sandwich, order extra protein in your cart. Lentil soup- it is so easy to get right, but this place got it wrong. There's basically no flavor- no curry, no spice, no lemon. It just feels like a warm cup of nothing. The grape leaves were mushy so I didn't continue eating them. It's not great to have cold, soft rice. One positive: the order was well packaged and arrived in time. That said, given the missing order items and the actual quality of the items that did arrive, I had to go with 3 stars.

Great food. Fast Service. I was barely in there for ten minutes before having my order prepared and paid for. Ordered: The Naya Roll with Falafel. Total: $8 and change. Not bad at all. Will definitely be coming back! There are lots of options here and it seems to appeal to many people of diverse backgrounds.

Went here for lunch and there's a long line. Guess this place indeed is famous for lunch after all! It's like everyone's go-to spot in the area. Thankfully the line moved fast. By the way you can also order online and pick up to save time. I ordered the falafel bowl with farro the first time and falafel salad the second time. both were good. The bowl was heavily loaded and definitely filling. I'm so glad of how satisfied I was after the meal, because let's face it, salad doesn't usually fill me up. However, this one certainly did. There were so many side salads in the bowl that I don't even know the name of but I can say all of it taste really, really good. It was aesthetically pleasing too due to the color. The falafels were delicious as well. It wasn't dry and still has a crispy batter. The hummus and bean spread definitely scores! I also tried the baklava which was good (but baklava wasn't outstanding). Regardless, I understand why people are lining for lunch from here. Plus for such a satisfactory meal it's under $10

I thought the food tasted good. I'd come back. My only critique is that it was a bit pricey compared to the many food carts and chipotle. The serving size wasn't too big for what you're paying for.

I'm a huge fan of mediterranean food, having lived for many years in that region. I was excited to try this place given the great reviews, but honestly found the bowl I tried uninspired and lacking much flavor (i.e., bland). Moreover, I felt they were extremely skimpy with the veggie / condiment portions, especially since my bowl had only a few ingredients.

It's a Middle Eastern Chipotle. Great execution, delicious food, and quick service. Hands down the best lunch spot in NYC. This place could be the next big national chain QSR. Their investors are lucky!

Yummy middle eastern food, great find in midtown Manhattan. Their zaatar/rosemary pita chips are to die for.

Their bowl contains the antidote to your hunger but you will need to battle the work nemesis, Super Itis. Perhaps the wrap can lessen the damage but then your other enemy will appear, Captain Messy. Lamb kebab is dry but not gamey. Falafel is the winner for me. Toppings make the meal and boy, they got it down packed with the goods. I absolutely love their mashed garlic whatever-it-is. Folks avoid the garlic paste but not this gal! If I may...pile that on please!! It protects me against vampires and helps me fend off annoying colleagues. It's a win-win yo.
